Prepare For The Next Shift
"Almost time for my new job." Anon said, preparing for his job at the Ponyvillle Bar.
He had landed in Equestria 3 weeks prior to him netting a job, thanks to an accident back on Earth involving some beer, electricity, Coke, and Mentos. It all went boom, and the next thing he knew was that he was on Equestria.
"I wonder if it'll be like my job back at home, at the bar." Anon said as he threw on his shoes and his cap, and headed out the door.
Anon went inside and through the back door, ready to work. He saw the boss, and asked him what his job was today.
"Today, you's be doin' the bartendin' son. If ya do good, you's can do it 'gain tomorrow. Got it sonny?" The boss replied, while Anon responded with a nod.
"Good job. A'ight, get ready for you's shift, son." Anon's boss finished.
After that short conversation, Anon prepared for his work.
Everything was ready. All of the barrels were full of cider, wine, and some other drinks. There were some ponies inside, but most of the ponies usually came a bit later.
"Well then," said Anon, double checking all the barrels. "Looks like they're all full. I should clean up a bit, and start serving the drinks after. Now, where did I put that mop..?"
"Okay seriously, where is that mop? Jeez." Anon was questioning.
"Maybe the others know. Where is that other pony? I think his name was something like Choco Cream, or something." Anon considered. Most ponies would be coming soon, so he had to hurry up.
'There's Choco, or whoever he is.' Anon saw. He had a brown coat with a light brown mane, and his cutie mark were 3 chocolate chips.
"Hey Choco, do you know where the mop's at? I need it for cleaning." Choco said "Over here, Anon. It's in the Janitor's Closet."
Anon looked inside the closet, and saw the mop inside leaning on a wall. He picked it up, and thanked Choco, then started mopping the foyer of the bar.
'It's almost my shift. I should start cleaning a bit faster, because my shift is coming soon. Like, in 10 minutes, I think.'
"Finally finished. Nice job, Anon. I deserve a pat on the back. Man, the floor looks absolutely shiny!" Anon said, finishing the floor, and it was truly sparkly.
'I should put this back in the Janitor's Closet. He'll probably be really mad if I didn't put it away. Now, where is the Janitor's Closet?' Anon thought, looking to find the Janitor's Closet.
He found the said closet, and stuck the mop inside, then closed the door shut. After finishing that, he walked over to check the barrels and filled some barrels that needed refilling, washed a couple glasses, polished them and some other glasses, and started wiping down the counter. Finishing that, he made a mind checklist of what he finished.
"So... I mopped the floor, wiped down the counter, refilled the barrels, washed the glasses, polished the glasses too, and I'm pretty sure I finished!" He dusted off his hands, he grabbed two Bits, and put them inside the cash register.
He grabbed a glass, and filled it up with some Hard Apple Cider from Ponyville's favorite farm, Sweet Apple Acres. He took a sip and looked around for anypony else who wanted any drinks. Luckily, there was nopony who wanted anything, and they were all just talking to each other or just looking sad. Anon took another sip and looked around to see if he could see any ponies he could recognize. Sadly, there was nopony he could recognize.
'It looks like the ponies are having fun.' Anon thought, looking around. 'The place looks nice.'
"Hey Anon." Anon's boss sneaked up on him. "You want a break? I saw you workin' hard. You should really take one, pal." Anon's boss only ever talked like that when he was impressed.
"Sure, boss. Thanks a lot! I'll see you tomorrow, boss!" Anon happily replied. "Also, do we still have a bottle of Hard Apple Cider? I want to bring it home, it tastes good."
"Sure, Anon. 6 Bits. Usually, it's 8, but employee's discount." Anon handed it over, and he gave him the bottle. "Thanks! See you tomorrow!" Anon replied, heading out.
Walking through Ponyville home, he looked around and saw ponies trotting around to finish up any errands or just going out for walks.
'They all look so happy.' Anon thought, looking around again. He clutched the bottle and started walking again.
Anon grabbed his keys as he neared his home, and unlocked the door, and placed the bottle on the coffee table. He tossed his jacket on the coat rack in one try, grabbed a glass, and opened the bottle. He poured a glass for himself, and drank a little bit of it. He decided not to get really dunk that night, and put the bottle inside the fridge, and went to sleep.
Anon yawned, waking up. He took a quick glance at his clock.
'Alright then, it's 8:00. I should eat some breakfast to kick the day off right.' Anon thought, getting up from bed.
He went downstairs, and cracked some eggs. He put them in a bowl and started stirring, preparing his favorite breakfast, scrambled eggs. He started up the stove, and put some salt and pepper in the bowl, and placed the eggs on the stove. Anon gave the eggs a couple minutes to cook, and started sliding the eggs off the pan onto his plate. He set them down on the table, and started eating.
"Good... I made a successful breakfast!" Anon exclaimed, enjoying the eggs he had created.
Anon was thinking about what he needed to do. He needed to go shopping, definitely. The eggs where the last thing Anon had, and he needed more food. He started making a list in his head.
'Alright then. I think I have everything I need in my mind. I should get going. Today's Friday, and later there's gonna be more peo- I mean ponies coming. Man, I'm still not used to saying all the new stuff coming from here.'
With that, Anon headed out for the marketplace.
2 hours had passed since Anon left for the marketplace, and his hands were full of bags. He was heading home, and he was pretty happy with what he got. Lots of food, of course. He also had some new decorations for his house. Anon struggled to grab his keys, but he was able to unlock the door and get in. He stumbled into his house and threw the bags on the couch.
'I should put these away. I do want to put the decorations and stuff away before I have to work... And I'm pretty sure my shift's at just about 6. Right now it's...' Anon glanced at the clock. '10 o' clock. that gives me a lot of time. Well, I should get started.
'Looks good. Good job, Anon.'
Anon plopped down on the couch, resting for a few minutes before taking a glance at his clock. '12 o'clock. I should go get something to eat.' Anon thought, his stomach rumbling. 'Maybe at Sugarcube Corner. That's a good place.'
Anon walked inside Sugarcube Corner, where the smell of newly baked pastries hit him. And it was really good, too. Anon could smell Cinnamon Buns, Donuts, and lots of other yummy foods that could easily make Anon as fat as a house. There was no line, so that was very helpful for Anon.
"Hello there!" Anon said, getting Pinkie Pie's attention. "Can I get... a Cinnamon Bun please?" Anon asked. "Heya there, Anon! A Cinnamon Bun, comin' up!"
Pinkie quickly tossed a Cinnamon Bun in the air, snatched a bag, opened it up, and it dropped right in. "Here ya go! 3 Bits, Anon!" Anon tossed the bits onto the counter, said his 'Thank You', and walked off, heading home. Before he headed out, he took a glance at the clock.
'2 o' clock. I can take a nap or something, then get ready for work.' Anon thought, heading home.
Back at his house, Anon was getting ready for his work. He threw on a shirt, put on his pants, grabbed his hat, and put his shoes on. He grabbed his keys, and left for the Ponyville Bar.
He was walking down the path he usually took, heading to where he needed to go. He was close, though. In fact... He was there.
"Man, that was fast." Was the only thing he could say.
Anon had finished preparing everything. All the glasses were washed and polished, the barrels were full, and the floors were mopped. The usual ponies were coming in, but some new faces were entering, and the first pony was heading to grab a drink from the bar...
