Ian meets Gabby

On a particular day like this,Ian was busy minding his own business reading his newspaper when Moondancer and Straight A's came in.

"Ian can you run a few errands for me?" Moondancer asked.

"Sure." Ian said. "What do we need?" he asked.

Moondancer wrote down a list of what Ian needed to get for their needs. Then she handed the list over to Ian.

"I'll take care of those things right away." Ian said. Then he walked off as Moondancer and Straight A's waved goodbye.

Later as Ian was looking over the list and walking to Ponyville,he accidentally stepped on a griffon’s tail that was sticking out of a bush

"YEOWWW!!!!" the griffon shouted as she came out of the bush.

Ian gasped. "Oh my Celestia.Are you ok?" Ian asked worriedly

"My tail’s kinda bruised so no."the griffon said as she rubbed her tail.

"I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to step on your tail." Ian sighed

"It’s fine. Just be more careful next time." the griffon said as she smiled at Ian.

"I certainly will." Ian replied. "Now how about I bandage up your tail?" he offered.

"Thanks." The griffon said.

Later Ian helped bandage up the griffon’s tail

"There you go. All better." Ian said as he finished wrapping the bandage around the griffon's tail.

"Thanks. What’s your name?" the griffon asked.

"I’m Ian." Ian said as he extended his hoof

"Hi Ian. Name’s Gabby." the griffon said as she shook Ian's hoof

"Pleased to meet you Gabby." Ian said as they shook.

Gabby thanked Ian once again for bandaging up her tail.

"No Problem." Ian replied.

And at that moment,Gabby asked the question that would change Ian's life.

"Wanna be friends?" Gabby asked.

"Sure.Let's be friends." Ian replied.

then Ian and Gabby shared a hug.

"I've got to finish running some errands for my wife." Ian said to Gabby.

"Who is your wife?" Gabby asked.

"My wife is Moondancer." Ian replied.

"What's she like?" Gabby asked.

"Ah questions,questions,so many questions." Ian muttered. "Moondancer is usually spending most her times studying and reading her books." Ian explained. "Wanna meet her and my daughter and my friend Sapphire?" Ian offered.

"Sure.I'd love to meet them." Gabby answered.

"Well what are we standing around here for? Let's go finish my errands." Ian said.

Then Ian and Gabby continued their walk.

"It sure is nice out today." Gabby said as she flew her wings.

"I agree with you there Gabby." Ian said as he followed.

Later the two made it to Ponyville's market.

"So what's first?" Gabby asked.

"First I need to get some carrots." Ian said as he looked at his list.

Ian looked at each stand for some vegetables until at last he saw one.

"I'd like to buy a basket of carrots please." Ian said as he approached the stand.

'Oh I'm so sorry. We're sold out and we won't be getting anymore carrots until tomorrow." the salespony said in disappointment.

"What a shame." Ian sighed. "Do you have celery instead?" Ian asked with hope.

"We do." the salespony answered as she pulled out the celery. "That'll be four bits." she said.

Ian payed and then put the celery in his saddle bag,then checked off his list.

"There weren't any carrots?" Gabby asked.

"I'm afraid so." Ian replied. "So I bought celery as an alternative." he added.

Later Ian looked at his list.

"Next I need to get a new button for Straight A's." Ian said as he looked at his list.

"Why a button?" Gabby asked.

"A button popped off my daughter's sweater so I need to get her a new button." Ian explained. "And I think I know just the pony who has buttons." Ian added.

Later at Rarity's Carousal Boutique,Ian knocked on the door to see if Rarity was home.

Sweetie Belle answered the door. "Hi Ian." Sweetie Belle said after opening the door.

Sweetie Belle noticed Gabby. "Hey Gabby.Great to see you again." Sweetie Belle said in an excited tone.

Ian was surprised. "You two know each other?" Ian asked.

"We do." Sweetie Belle answered.

"She,Apple Bloom,and Scootaloo helped me find my cutie mark and made me one their crusaders." Gabby explained.

"Well that's amazing." Ian said as he smiled.

"But anyways what brings you here today?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"I'm here to see Rarity. I need to ask her if she has any buttons."

"Sure.She's upstairs." Sweetie Belle said as she showed Ian to the stairs.

Gabby decided to stay down here with Sweetie Belle.

Ian knocked on Rarity's door to see if she was in her workshop.

"Come in." Rarity said in a singsong voice.

Ian came into Rarity's workshop. "Hi Rarity." Ian said as he walked in.

"Hello darling." Rarity said as she walked up to Ian. "What can I do for you today?" Rarity asked.

"A button is missing on my daughter's sweater and I was wondering if you had any light blue buttons?" Ian asked.

"Sure darling." Rarity said as she pulled out a light blue button from one of her drawers. "Here you go darling." Rarity said as she handed Ian the button.

"Thanks." Ian said. Then he reached into his saddle bag to pay Rarity.

"No need to pay for the button." Rarity said.

"Oh thanks anyway." Ian said as he walked off after putting the button in his saddle bag.

Ian then met up with Gabby and Sweetie Belle.

"Ian you just missed the greatest conversation ever." Gabby said with excitement.

"What was it about?" Ian asked.

"I'll tell you later." Gabby said to him. She then gave Sweetie Belle a hug goodbye then left with Ian.

"Finally I need to get a gem for Sapphire." Ian said as he looked at his list.

"Sapphire?" Gabby asked.

"She's a baby dragon." Ian explained.

Later Ian and Gabby looked outside of Ponyville for any gems.

"I think to make it easier I'll use my gem detector." Ian said as he pulled out his gem detector.

Ian searched all over the ground for any gems until he heard his gem detector beeping like crazy.

"Aha!" Ian exclaimed and pointed to the spot.

"I'll dig." Gabby said and then she dug through the ground and pulled out the gems for Ian.

Ian then marked off his check list. "Alright. The list is complete." Ian said as he put the list in his saddlebag but the wind blew the list away.

"Oh No! The list is gone." Ian exclaimed in horror.

"Don't worry Ian. All you have to do is just remember what you got." Gabby said.

Then Ian and Gabby walked back to Ian's place.

"Here we are." Ian said as he walked in the door while Gabby waited outside.

"Hey Ian." Moondancer said as she hugged her husband.

"Hey Moondancer." Ian said as he hugged his wife back.

"How did it go?"Moondancer asked.

"It went well and I also made a new friend that I'd like you,Straight A's,and Sapphire to meet." Ian said as he placed his saddlebag on the floor.

"Sure.I'll go get them." Moondancer said. She then went to go get Straight A's and Sapphire.

Meanwhile Straight A's and Sapphire were playing Monopoly until Moondancer came into the room.

"Straight A's,Sapphire,Ian has brought someone that he wants you to meet." Moondancer said.

"Ok mom." Straight A's said as she and Sapphire followed Moondancer to the living room.

Ian then let Gabby inside as Straight A's and Sapphire came into the living room.

"Moondancer,Straight A's,and Sapphire,I'd like you to meet my new friend Gabby. She's a griffon." Ian said as he introduced Gabby to them.

Straight A's walked up to Gabby. "Hi Gabby." It's nice to meet you." Straight A's said as she and Sapphire shook Gabby's claw.

"And it's nice to meet you both too." Gabby said as she hugged them.

"Now Straight A's I got you a new button for your sweater." Ian said as he pulled out the button and gave it to Straight A's.

"Thank you dad." Straight A's replied. "But how will I get the button on my sweater?" she asked as she held the button in her hoof.

"Allow me to help." Gabby suggested. She then sewed the button onto Straight A's sweater.

"Thank you Gabby." Straight A's said as she hugged Gabby.

"You're very welcome Straight A's." Gabby replied as he hugged Straight A's back.

"we're glad you're our new friend Gabby." Ian said happily as he,Moondancer,Straight A's,Sapphire,and Gabby shared a group hug.

"You guys are the greatest." Gabby said. "Well I've gotta go now. I'll see you guys later." she said.

"Bye Gabby." Moondancer said as she waved goodbye.

"See ya later." Ian said as he waved goodbye.

So Ian managed to finish his errands and he even made a new friend along the way.

Ian wondered if he would ever see Gabby again ever since they first met.

But one thing's for sure,you never know.
