Chapters The sun is shinning bright, there are birds chirping, and the breeze outside is giving a spring vibe. Unfortunately for our main characters today was the first day of school.
"GOOD MORNING CANTERLOT! This is your main dude, the one and only Beats Fit telling you it's a brand new day. This is a new day and even though most are going back to school and work today, we should make the most of it! This has been the Canterlot Morning Wake Up" the announcer said on the very loud alarm clock.
"Ugh." Prism moaning putting a pillow over his head.
Prism Bolt is seventeen and goes to Canterlot High School as a junior this year. His mother is none other than the great Rainbow Dash. She's widely known pretty much everywhere in Equestria for her skills in the widely known spors group called the Wonderbolts.
"Priz!" a woman's voice called. "Get up and get ready, you have school today. Also remember you are taking your brother too."
"Yeah come on I don't wanna be late like you always are ." a younger voice said next to him.
"What the- Icy get out of my room." Prism glared.
Icy Storm is Prism's younger brother by five years. He's a super smart kid and that's why the high school has started an advanced teaching program for the younger ones to come and learn.
"Well, it's not like I WANT to be in here, mom told me to come get you up." Icy said rolling his eyes.
"I'm up now so scram." Prism said.
"Fine just hurry up for I an meet my friends at the front gate." Icy aid.
"Why must you come to my school, you're 12 and annoying!" Prism said.
"Because me and my friends are actually kinda smart unlike your friends...well, maybe T and Annie are good, so are Star and Candy, heck even Del tops you, so it's just you aren't the smart one." Icy smirked.
"I have a B average, I play football, I'm on the honor roll for about four years now, and I'm awesome." Prism said.
"Yeah well that's because you have to keep your grades up for football and if Star wasn't tutoring you believe me you wouldn't be on there." Icy simply said.
"Oh that's it!" Prism said getting up.
"Gotta go." Icy said running.
"You little-get back here!" Prism said running after him.
Icy and Prism ran around before getting to the kitchen where their mom stopped them in their tracks.
"Will. You. Two. Stop. Running. In. The. House!" Rainbow Dash said holding their ears.
"Owww, okay, okay." Icy said holding the hand holding his ear.
"Okay we'll stop just let go." Prism winced as she pulled them closer.
"Apologize to each other." she commanded.
"Sorry." the brothers said to each other.
"Now." she said letting go of their ears and letting them drop to the floor. "Prism you need to get ready now if you want to be on time for once."
Prism looked down while Icy laughed.
"And YOU, little Storm, I told you to wake him up and that's it, not to patronize him." she told Icy.
Icy gulped while it was Prism's turn to laugh.
"Now get going." she told them.
When they didn't move, she stopped and looked at them intently.
"I said now." she said.
They scrambled to get ready.
"Now dear, don't you have to get ready yourself?" Soarin said sipping his coffee,
Soarin is Rainbow Dash's husband. He's always been there for her through everything.
"Yeah and with the help of this." she said pointing to her necklace with her geode in it. "I'll be done in less than two seconds."
The geode is one of seven which her and her other friends have one. They hold great power in which they are able to do miraculous things.
"Are you going to tell Priz, he's getting old enough to know about the supers?" Soarin asked.
"I can't tell him Soar, I want him to be safe and live a normal life for once other than what I had to go through." Dash explained. "If he knew he came from a line of superheros, the world would come after him."
"I understand, but you can't hide it from him forever." Soarin said.
"Well, maybe I can, me and the girls think we are doing fine right now so..." Dash said. "I need to get ready."
Rainbow quickly flew upstairs to get dressed as her husband just sighed and read the newspaper by him.
In the car, Prism and Icy both where listening to the radio.
"Today is the anniversary of the Super Friends coming to the public and helping others." Beats said. "These royal rebellious super ladies helped people all throughout Equestria through a simple lesson of friendship."
"The Super Friends have been gone for over 15 years, you think they would stop talking about them." Prism said.
"Yeah, well I think it's cool to know that they're somewhere around looking just like us." Icy said.
"Yeah, yeah, we are here." Prism said pulling into a parking space.
"Hey Prism!" Candy called when he got out the car.
Cotton Candy was the daughter of Pinkie Pie a fun loving mother. Cotton Candy is also a junior this year.
"Hey Candy!" Prism said hugging Candy.
"The royal dunce returns." Starburst said.
Starburst was the principal's firstborn daughter. The principal is Twilight Sparkle. Star is a freshman this year.
"Yeah missed you too, Star." Prism said nonchalantly.
"So, what's been going on?" Candy asked.
"Well, I've been thinking..." Prism started.
"Uh oh call the fire department, his brain might be on fire." Star said.
"No like serious, today marks the day of the Super Friends going away into hiding forever, right?" Prism said.
"Yeah what about it?" T asked.
Turquoise, or T as his friends call him, is the child of fashion designer, Rarity. T is a sophomore this year.
"Well, isn't it weird that no one has any idea of who they are, or the fact that they could be anyone we know?" Prism asked.
"That's just the way it has ta be." Del said.
Del, or Golden Delicious as his full name, is the son of apple rancher Applejack. He's as nice and honest as his mom is. He is a senior this year.
"Well I don't know about that, you see my mom gets really weird during this time of the year, like secretive or something." Prism said.
"Yeah, well that's her business Prism." Del said.
"So, it's just me right with the weird mom?" Prism asked.
Everyone was quiet.
"Seriously your mom's too?" Prism asked.
"It's weird, maybe something happened that day long ago?" Annie said quietly.
Annie, or Athena as her real name, was a very quiet girl that hung out with the gang when she met T. She get's the quiet nature form her adoptive mother, Fluttershy.
"Woah, Annie when did you get here?" Prism asked.
"Oh, I've been here just listening." Annie said. "But I agree with you Prism something is strange that even my mother gets really protective over this day."
The bell started to ring.
"That's the bell, we gotta get to class." T said taking Annie's hand.
"I guess we will talk about this later." Prism sighed. "So long paradise."
While the gang goes inside, in the dark a shadowy figure with pointed teeth heads to Canterlot High School in search of it's next prey.

Even though this is sort of Prism-centered, many of the others will have their time to shine as well. All Next Generation characters belong to Kilala97.
Classes began with normalcy. Friends went their own way, but Candy and Prism stayed in the similar classes together. Usually these two are pretty distracted though and start talking in class.
"Prism, do you think that my mom could be really hiding something from me?" Candy whispered.
"I mean, I don't know Candy your mom has Pinkie Promised never to tell you a lie since the 8th birthday incident." Prism whispered back.
"Yeah, but she has never told me about this day, and she always seems more jittery than before this day." Candy explained.
"Well maybe ask her?" Prism said. "There is something strange my mother and father were muttering about something this morning about telling me something."
"Would you two like to finally pay attention to class may, Ms. Candy and Mr. Bolt." Mr. Doodle said right next to them.
Candy and Prism awkwardly chuckled.
"Yes, Mr. Doodle." they said.
After classes, they all headed for lunch were they all sat together and talked about earlier.
"I'm just saying, even if our mom's are connected in some way, which they ain't, they wouldn't have a huge secret unless they really wanted us not to know." Del explained.
"So you aren't curious of what your own mom could be hiding like a missing sibling or something horrible." Prism argued.
"She would have told me by now. " Del argued back.
"Are you guys still talking about this?" Star said sitting next to Del.
"Yeah, but Star if your mom was hiding a secret wouldn't you want to know?" Prism asked.
"Well, yeah because what if it was something bad and I couldn't help her." Star said.
"See!" Prism said to Del.
Del rolled his eyes.
"Woah, what's with the extra sass today cuzzo?" Api said coming by the table.
Api Apple daughter of Applejack's younger sister, Apple Bloom, she's just as country as her cousin, but can switch between country and her father, Pipsqueak, accent.
"Oh it's nothing just them arguing over huge secrets between mom's" Icy explained.
"OOOOO like a puzzle of some sort, like on my video game!" Pixel said.
Pixel Bit, daughter of Rarity's younger sister Sweetie Belle and Button Mash. She's a very pretty spunky girl with a knack for video games.
"Everything is like a video game to you, Pix." Night said.
Night Light Jr., second born to Twilight Sparkle and younger brother of Starburst. Like Icy and his friends, he was also seem as being excelsior in knowledge.
"Yeah, but that's what make it fun." Pixel said. "Especially when you play fair."
"Are you still upset about that Pixel?" Annie asked.
"CHEATER!" Pixel screamed.
"I'll take that as a yes." Annie laughed.
"Well whatever it is I'm going to find out today." Prism said.
"And how necessarily are you going to do that?" Icy asked.
"Somehow, and then I am going to show all of you." Prism said.
"Priz, just let it go." T said.
"T, as my best friend, I thought you would have more faith in me." Prism crossed his arms pouting.
"I do buddy, it's just this has gone far enough." T said.
As Prism opened his mouth to answer, the speaker came on.
"Attention of faculty and student's please report to the auditorium for a little ceremony please." Principal Twilight Sparkle said.
"Huh?" everyone said looking at Night or Star.
"We knew nothing." Star said.
After the announcement, everyone went to the auditorium for this "ceremony".
"Hey isn't that mom?" Icy asked pointing to the stage.
Rainbow Dash was talking to Applejack and Fluttershy.
"It's all our moms." Del said.
"Wait do our mom's know each other?" Candy asked.
"How did we not know this?" T asked.
"Maybe this was the secret." Annie said. "Maybe not knowing we are closer than it seems was the secret."
"Nah it's something else." Prism said.
"Good morning students of Canterlot High School, I am here to talk about the upcoming events such as the Fall Formal." Principal Twilight said.
"This is a really big event, so I called in some assistance." she explained. "These are old Canterlot High School students that I went to school with. Each one will be a part of the committee concerning the formal. Pinkie Pie will be in charge of the party and set up. Rainbow Dash will be over the entertainment. Rarity will be over the decorations of the formal. Fluttershy will be over the floral and fauna."
As she said each name the ladies raised their hands for who they are.
"If you are interested in any of these groups please come and see them about it." Principal Twilight said.
"Woah, like why would they come here to help?" Prism asked.
A hooded figure went down the isle to the front of the stage.
"Yes, do you have a question?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yes and you can start by answering the question about my mother." the hooded figure said.
"And who is your mom dear?" Rarity asked.
Long green hair flowed from under the cloak and a sinister smile appeared on the girl's face. With her hair she stood taller and she laughed maniacally.
Everyone began to mutter and point.
"My mother the Hairniac!" she exclaimed. "The one you put away for years!"
"We have no idea what you are talking about." Rainbow Dash said.
"Oh really, well if you don't then you can face my wrath as the daughter of the Hairniac, Hair Raiser!" Hair Raiser said grabbing chairs with her hair throwing them around.
The students screamed and started to run, while the children of the moms on stage ducked behind the chairs. Once it stopped they peaked up to see the event occurring.
As the Hair Raiser, threw a chair at them a barrier shaped like a diamond came up.
"That's enough you won't hurt these children any longer!" Twilight said pointing at her.
There was a flood of light and then the moms the group once knew were now in these outfits, ones that looked familiar to the ones on the front of the paper that morning or the ones talking about their anniversary.
"What?" Del asked.
"No way." T said in disbelief.
"That's not possible.' Star said.
"Our mom's... are The Super Friends?" Prism asked.

The secret is out and how are the girl's gonna handle this now?
The battle began, with Hair Raiser on one side and the transformed mothers, also known as 'The Super Friends,' on the other.
"Well, well, well The Super Friends finally show their faces.” Hair Raiser said chuckling.
“Your mother, she chose the path of evil,” Twilight said. “We had to take her out for everyone else’s safety, but you don’t have to end up like your mother Hair Raiser.”
“You think you can just change my mind after the years of me not having my mother.” Hair Raiser said clenching her fist. “Of me having to see her from behind a thick piece of glass where she could only speak through a phone.”
“You have to understand darling.” Rarity started. “The crimes your mother committed on those poor women’s hair was unacceptable.”
“I don’t want to hear anything you have to say to me.” Hair Raiser said lifting herself high in the air using her hair. “You’ll all pay!”
She unhinged a seat from the floor of the auditorium and threw it at the stage.
The girls scattered and jumped out of the way.
“If she aint gonna listen, there ain’t no point tryna be peaceful.” Applejack said picking up a seat as well and chucking it at her.
Hair Raiser smacked the attack back to Applejack.
“Woah!” Applejack exclaimed jumping out the way.
“Be careful everyone!” Twilight said.
“She’ll have to catch me first.” Rainbow said using her super speed to run around Hair Raiser.
Hair Raiser tried to catch her with her hair but missed as Rainbow dodged every time.
“STAY STILL!” she exclaimed jumping up and slamming down on the floor making debris shoot everywhere.
In the back of the auditorium, the children of the superheroes where behind chair ducking from the constant attacks.
Prism peeked out when it was quiet to see Hair Raiser had pushed and injured the mothers to different spots of the auditorium. Most struggled to get up and move, weakened by the attack. He slightly gasped as the long green haired girl grabbed ahold of his mother.
“Not so fast are you now?” she teased as she held on tighter.
Rainbow screamed at the pressure.
“LET. HER. GO!” Prism screamed at her as he came from behind the chair.
“Oh, and who are you supposed to be huh?” Hair Raiser chucked turning to look at him.
“Pr-iz, n-no.” Rainbow weakly said.
“I said let her go.” Prism said glaring at her.
“Hehe, since you are so big and bad come get her,” she said laughing manically.
“Hey, you heard him!” Candy popped up.
“Candy?” Prism asked.
“We are best friends; I wouldn’t leave you alone to fight her.” Candy said standing next to him.
“Oh, how sweet.” Hair Raiser said. “Well, what are two little bitty kids gonna do?”
“They aren’t alone,” T said also popping out.
“We are all here,” Annie said grabbing T’s hand.
“And if ya know what’s good for ya, you’ll leave them all alone,” Del said.
“And do what he says!” Star exclaimed.
Prism and his friends all came out into the aisle, standing proud and tall.
“Then…” Hair Raiser said dropping Rainbow on to the ground with a thud. “Well, then I’ll have to take you out first then.”
The mothers began to scream for their children unable to do anything or react in time.
She charged them with her hair before a light blinded her making her stop in her tracks.
“What the?” she asked blocking the light from shining in her eyes.
When the light dimmed, there stood the children of The Super Friends. They were no longer the children the mothers knew, but they had transformed into these outfits.
“What happened?” Prism asked looking at his outfits.
“I don’t know, but that was a crazy light.” Candy said.
“I don’t think this is over you guys,” Star said looking towards the Hair Raiser.
“Ugh, more supers,” she said rolling her eyes. “Very well, I shall dispose of you too.”
She continued her attack, and everyone who didn’t have wings jumped out of the way.
The ones that flew, which were Star, Prism, and T who had also grabbed Annie, were in the air.
“What are we to do genius?” Star asked Prism annoyed. “You decided to come out and fight.”
“I don’t know!” Prism exclaimed. “I don’t even know how we have wings, ears on our heads, and tails!”
“A lil less arguing and more- WOAH!” Del said pushing seat off its hinges.
“Super strength.” Prism muttered.
“Del are you okay.” Candy said helping Del keep his balance by pushing the chair.
The chair began to glow a pink color.
“Why is it doing that?” Star asked alarmed.
“I don’t know!” Del exclaimed.
“Throw it!” Prism said.
Del threw it to the Hair Raiser, which exploded in front of her pushing her back.
“Combustion.” Prism said.
“What are you going on about Priz?” T asked holding Annie closer.
“We have powers!” Prism explained. “Candy came blow up stuff, Del has super strength, and we must be able to do something too.”
“Yeah, but what?” T asked.
“You brats.” Hair Raiser said when she finally got her bearings. “Take this!”
She threw a large piece of building that fell from her previous attack.
Star and Prism dodged, but T couldn't move that fast and turned around taking the full hit force to protect Annie.
“T!” Prism said as he flew over to grab him as he was falling to the ground.
Star got Annie, who was unharmed by T taking the hit and fell out of his arms.
“T?” Annie asked fearfully.
“Oh, Annie.” Star said gently setting her down by T. “You’ll pay for that.”
Star grabbed the sword on her back and charged.
“Star, no!” Del tried to warn.
Star maneuvered her way past the attacks of hair coming towards her, even cutting one off.
“My hair!” Hair Raiser said softly petting the one that had been cut.
“Your focus should be on me,” Star yelled flying towards her, but when she got close, she got smacked down by a piece of hair she hadn’t seen. She was grabbed by a section of hair.
Prism, Del, and Candy were caught as well after being distracted and Candy slightly panicking. They all struggled in her clutched as the hold got tighter around them.
A piece of hair came for Annie and T, where T had yet to recover.
“A-nnie…” Candy struggled to warn her.
“T you have to get up, I think the others are in trouble,” Annie said slightly shaking him.
Annie screamed as she was caught. Her screams let out a sound wave shaking the building.
T’s eyes opened at the sound of Annie screaming. He slowly got up and turn around to blow green fire out of his mouth burning the hair.
This lowered Hair Raiser’s defense as she winced at the feeling of her hair burn off and the others were able to escape.
“Okay new plan, Candy, Del you guys throw and blow, T you burn, Star you cut, and Annie listen to the sounds and scream when we say so.” Prism said.
“Got it!” everyone said.
Del pulled a piece of debris and Candy hit it to make it glow. Del aimed right for Hair Raiser, and the trash blew up in her face.
Star is seeing her unable to fight back cut more of her hair off, and T came up to burn anything trying to attack Star.
Prism saw the hair that was cut from start to move back to its owner. So, thinking fast he flew around Hair Raiser in a circle creating a tiny twister. When he pulled away from the hair had been collected.
“Now Annie!” Prism called.
Annie took a deep breath and screamed pushing the now tied up Hair Raiser to the wall making her unconscious.
“We did it.” Prism said.
“You did.” Rainbow said weakly from the stage.
“Mom!” Prism yelled as he flew down to her.
“We all watched from down here.” Fluttershy said going by Annie. “We moved out of the way.”
“Mom.” Annie said hugging her.
“We are sorry we couldn’t help more, but you all have proved that you are all ready to take on this responsibility.” Twilight said holding Star’s face. “I could not be prouder.”
“What do ya mean take on the responsibility.” Del asked.
“We aren’t young like we used ta be.” Applejack said. “We need someone who will be able to take the mantle.”
“And who better than our children.” Rarity said to T.
“You’ll be blowing stuff up naturally soon.” Pinkie said to Candy.
“So, what do you guys say to be The New Super Friends?” Twilight and the other moms said looking to their children.
Prism looked around to his friends. They all knew this would mean hard times, friendships tested, and much more they have yet to face, but they all had the same look and smile when he turned around. The look of determination.
“We’re in.” Prism said.
They all exclaimed in joy, unknowing of the darkness that lurks around the school.

THIS STORY IS UNEDITED. Finally, the new superheroes arise. I decided not to do the outfits in the story, but here are the descriptions. Also about Annie, I know what her cutie mark is and I know that she is able to calm animals and also more than likely talk to them and she will in this story, but she will probably get animal senses and traits when she is fighting more than when she isn't. So, in this one she used bat traits with screeching sound waves.
Prism- Dark blue shirt, black jeans, and dark blue shoes. He has his cutie mark that he would have had in pony form on his jeans. He has wings in this.
Candy- Light blue jacket, white tank top, pink tutu, white leggings, and light blue shoes. Her cutie mark is on the back of her jacket.
Del- Orange flannel top, blue jeans, and cowboy boots. His cutie mark is on his pocket on his shirts.
Star- Orange tank, blue pants, and orange shoes. She has wings and her cutie mark is on the front of her shirt.
T- Green shirt, blue pants, and green shoes. He has his dragon wings, claws, and the teeth of a dragon.
Annie- Light blue dress with light green shoes. Her cutie mark is on her dress.
