//-------------------------------------------------------// The Curse of being Immortal -by Harmony Split- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Desperate Princess //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Welcome to my first new Story in quite some time. I tried something new for this contest, so I hope I won't crash and burn. Have fun:twilightblush: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightblush.png A Desperate Princess “I really miss Spike.” It was a sentence the Princess of Friendship and Magic had voiced a lot over the last few years. Not only because the dragon would have helped her with cleaning and preparing the castle for visitors, but also because he would have been able to calm her down. At least a bit. Spike wasn’t there. Ten years ago, when his wings sprouted, he had chosen to stay with the dragons and follow his own destiny. She had told him she would be okay, but nopony had told her that life would love to throw even more rocks her way. And now Cadance was coming to visit. Twilight spared a brief glance at the letter sitting on her desk, which had caused her anxiety. Cadance hadn’t visited in almost six years, not since Shining Armor’s health began declining with his age. “To think that there was a time when I was mortal,” Twilight sighed. “I just wonder what’s so important that she’s coming today.” Dear Ladybug, I think it is more than time that we meet again. With the troubles of the past few years, I need some time to unwind and leave Shining in the capable hooves of our daughter. Celestia knows she got the hang of ruling way too quickly. I am sorry if this is bad timing, but I really need to see you. Expect my arrival shortly after this letter. You don’t have to prepare anything other than a warm welcome for an old friend. Cadance The letter didn’t answer her question, but instead brought up many more. At least she did write to warn her. With the Friendship Games just having ended, Twilight knew she had time to relax, but that didn’t help her light panic at all. She was asking herself why Cadance would come and visit her when her brother was aging, getting sicker every day. “Logically, it would’ve been better for me to visit them in the Crystal Empire. I wonder if something is wrong?” She opened a cupboard to be greeted by emptiness. “Celestia would have my coat now. Why can’t I remember to buy some food instead of just work?” “Because it wouldn’t be you otherwise,” a new voice answered. “Gaah!” Twilight jumped, placing a hoof over her thumping heart. “Cadance!” “This never gets old,” Cadance giggled before stepping closer. Twilight smiled and got into the old, familiar position. “Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!” They embraced each other, Twilight now around the same size as her sister-in-law and former foalsitter. “Did you grow again?” Cadance asked, eyes widening. “Yes. Celestia and I think that I could reach her height easily in around a hundred years,” Twilight sheepishly answered. “As big as Celestia?! Please tell me you don’t plan to inherit her cake-flanks?” That just got an eye roll as a response. “Very funny. But I can do the mane now, look!” Cadance had to admit that she was envious. The magical mane was something she had not managed to this day, yet Twilight had mastered it after not even sixty years being a Princess. “It looks beautiful, Twilight.” “It still takes some work,” Twilight blushed. “Unlike Celestia and Luna, I have to keep the flow active or it will return to its normal state again.” “Still, I’m jealous. I never got it to work. Just imagine, no bedmane anymore!” Cadance giggled. “I could teach you.” “That’s sweet of you Twilight, but I’m here to spend some quality time with you.” Twilight couldn’t help but tilt her head. “Why, is something wrong with Shining?” Cadance sighed and sat down, rubbing her temples. “Twilight, Shining is the best husband and father a mare could wish for, but he is getting old. Last month, he had to lay down direct command over the troops because he simply can’t keep up anymore. Sadly, he also can’t keep up with me anymore.” “Luna once called it the curse of being immortal: everypony we love will someday pass away.” “Except the four for eternity,” Cadance nodded. “And me!” Discord shouted from somewhere, earning an eye roll from both alicorns. “But yes, I know what you mean,” Twilight sighed. “Rarity once said we’re destined to be alone, that we will d-” she stopped as Cadance hugged her. “None of that now, Twilight. Let’s just enjoy a few days together, alright?” “What did you have in mind?” *** “Oh my, darlings, my old bones are shouting in delight,” Rarity sighed as she laid back in the big tub with the other mares. “It has been ages since we all enjoyed a day at the spa.” “That’s because none of us are that young anymore, Rarity,” Rainbow rolled her eyes. “Can’t believe it took Cadance visiting to get our old bookworm out of her castle again.” “It’s not my fault advanced magical theories are sucking up all my time!” Twilight pouted. Fluttershy giggled. “It’s okay, Twilight. Some things will never change.” “Ah just wish that same would be true about us. I can hear my bones cracking every minute,” Applejack groaned. “But that’s not fun! We just have to do a party like we did years ago! It will keep us young!” Pinkie laughed. “Parties are the best anti-age cure!” “I still can’t believe that you’re the most active of us at our age,” Rainbow snorted. “I thought I would be the last to retire but I left the wonderbolts almost five years ago and you’re still baking and hosting parties! I have no idea where you get the energy, but I stopped asking about the impossible a long time ago.” “I think we can still agree that Pinkie is unexplainable,” Twilight nodded. Rarity coughed. “Yes, yes. So, Cadance, darling, would you mind telling us what brought on this… quick visit? Not that I am not delighted to have you here, but I thought you’d have other concerns at the moment.” “I…” Cadance stopped and blushed as all eyes went to her. “I just needed some time away and to spend time with Twilight. Flurry Heart is taking care of Shining at the moment, not that he can leave the bed a lot these days anyways…” Twilight raised an eyebrow at what she was sure was bitterness in Cadance’s voice at the end. Something was wrong. “Cadance? Is there something you need to tell me?” Her fellow princess looked around the room before sighing. “We should discuss it later. Not that I don’t trust everypony in this room, but this is private family business.” “Ah know what ya mean, Princess.” Applejack nodded. “Indeed. Not everything is suited for gossip,” Rarity waved a hoof. “Family is one of them, darling.” Cadance could feel Twilight’s burning gaze on her and sighed. “We will talk later Twilight, I promise that to you.” “Pinkie Promise?” “Yes, Pinkie, Pinkie Promise. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my e-OW,” Cadance yelped. “HAAAAA that never gets old,” Rainbow cackled. “It’s not really... um… funny,” Fluttershy spoke up. Any further conversation was halted as Plum Blossom and Cherry Blossom entered the room. They were the twins who took over the Ponyville spa after Lotus and Aloe got too old to manage every customer. “Ladies, we can continue with the treatment now. If you would follow us,” Plum Blossom smiled. All ponies followed the spa twins, Twilight still wondering what Cadance would tell her later. *** “That was the best day I’ve had in ages,” Cadance sighed as they stepped into the castle. “And it was wonderful to see the others again. I know it’s hard for them.” “Yes, it is. But they always come when I invite them. It’s hard to believe that we all stayed single except Fluttershy.” Cadance giggled. “Discord is still boasting how he won her heart completely.” “I’m not boasting, it was just hard work!” A voice called out. “Discord will always be Discord,” Twilight chuckled before turning to Cadance. “You owe me a talk.” “I do, don’t I?” Cadance sighed once more. “No matter what comes now, I truly love your brother, more than anypony before.” Twilight nodded as she moved to a couch, settling down. “I know that, but why are you telling me this?” “Because your brother is getting too old. It has been nearly eight years since we went on a date or… did anything in the bedroom.” “I don’t think that’s something I want to know,” Twilight groaned. “Twilight, one of those things is why I came to you.” “What?” “You remember your crush on me all those years ago?” Twilight sighed. “It wasn’t a crush, but whatever. We agreed to never talk about that day anymore! We were drunk!” “I wasn’t.” Cadance blushed. “YOU WHAT?” Twilight screamed. “You knew how I felt about you and took advantage of it?!” “No! I just wanted to show you a good time. I know I wasn’t your first, but I wanted you,” Cadance stopped, looking directly at Twilight. “I still want you! I’m craving for somepony to hold me tight, to whisper sweet nothings in my ear, to just fuck me!” Twilight was seriously starting to panic now. “Why? You’re married to my brother! You two have a daughter! How can you say those things?” “Because I love you, you silly filly.” ”You what?! “I love you, Twilight. I came to you because I simply couldn’t wait anymore! I know this is wrong in so many ways; I am basically cheating with Shiny’s sister, but I need this!” Cadance cried, head lowered as her tears started flowing. “I am the Princess of love, but I also need it! I don’t get much love from Shiny lately and I know it’s not his fault! I know he hates himself for getting older while I stay the same! I just wish for love…” “What do you want from me, Cadance? My feelings haven’t changed but you are my sister-in-law! Shining is my brother!” “Twilight. What I ask, I do not ask lightly. I would like to stay with you for a week,” Cadance paused, taking a long breath before continuing. “As your lover.” My WHAT?! “Please tell me that you at least know some things.” “Of course,” Twilight blushed. “You read a lot of romance novels and… other books when you’re lonely.” “What books for example?” “Don’t change the topic! I… I know what you mean, but we can’t do this. We would always remember this. The curse of being immortal, you know?” “Twilight, please!” “What would Ponyville think? Our friends? What would everypony think about the princesses that cheated on their husband and brother?!” “They would only look poorly at me, you can’t cheat on your brother, Twilight.” “That’s not what I meant! We could be ruined! What would Celestia and Luna think?” “They both know.” Twilight’s jaw dropped. “What?! You told them?!” “Yes and I’ve explained my reasoning,” Cadance nodded. “Auntie Luna agreed that you would be a wise choice for a future companion, since we will both live on over others.” “Why are you saying these things to me?! I... don’t know what to think right now.” “Twilight. I’m not doing this with a light heart. While I know this is wrong in so many ways, I decided that I would face any consequences, no matter what. My feelings for you are true, I know this and my magic knows this.” “I believe you, Cadance, but it’s all a bit much right now. Can I sleep on this? Please? You know how well I work under pressure,” Twilight facehoofed. “Of course, Twilight.” Cadance buried her head in a cushion as Twilight left. She should’ve known better than to bring everything up at once. *** Cadance couldn’t find sleep. No matter how much she tossed and turned, nothing seemed comfortable enough. The pillows were cold and the blanket lifeless. She was alone. “Great work, Cadance. Years of fine tuning my love magic and I manage to scare the only mare away that could help me. Maybe it would’ve been better to just use it instead of hoping Twilight’s heart would jump onto this opportunity.” Nopony answered her. “Argh. Auntie Tia said that it would be easy as long as I was honest with her. And now I’ve probably lost her. I hope she doesn’t write to Shiny or something.” No matter what she had said, Cadance was scared of Shining finding out. They had often talked about the future, both knowing Cadance would outlive her husband easily, but they never talked about it happening while he was still alive. “What should I do? Pack my things, go back, and simply insist that nothing is wrong? I can’t do that, I would—” Cadance stopped as she heard a crash. “Hello? Everything okay?” The answer came as the door smashed open, revealing Twilight. “Twilight, what are you—oh my Celestia!” Cadance could only gape. There she was, the pony that kept her awake, dressed in night blue lingerie, a sultry look on her muzzle. Cadance couldn’t believe it. “Are you drunk again? Is this a dream?” “No, and no,” Twilight giggled as she sauntered to the bed. “I’ve been awake this whole time and decided that despite it being so sudden I do love you too, and since I can’t apply logic to this I made up my mind. I’ve waited way too long for this to let it pass.” “But your br—” Cadance sputtered. “Shh,” Twilight said as she stopped Cadance with a hoof on her muzzle. “Let’s forget everything else and enjoy this, Cadance.” Cadance could only watch as Twilight climbed onto the bed, stricken breathless by a sudden kiss. It wasn’t a short one: it was one full of passion and love, one Cadance was very eager to return. But she wouldn’t let the inexperienced mare take control. With a quick pull and the help of her wings, Cadance flipped their positions, her frame now looming over Twilight. “I think I should lead; don’t you agree, Twilight?” Twilight could only groan in response as Cadance attacked her throat with soft kisses, soon turning to quick nips to the side of her neck. She knew every soft spot and used it without mercy, turning the younger alicorn to putty under her ministrations. “What’s wrong? I thought you knew a thing or two?” Cadance teased. “Oh, I know enough,” Twilight smiled, startling a gasp from Cadance as her wings trailed over Cadance’s, which slowly started to unfurl. “You know Twilight, you have such beautiful wings.” “But yours are unique, with their two colours. I’ve always admired them.” Twilight answered, and in response, Cadance gently bit down her neck, making her whole body shiver. “You’re not playing fair, Cadance!” What we’re doing isn’t fair either, Cadance thought as she raised again, but quickly banished the notion away. She couldn’t afford any doubts now. Cadance felt Twilight's wings pull her down for a kiss, ending her momentary distraction. A soft tongue licking gently at her lips, and she allowed it to slip in between them and explore. Time slipped away as she pressed to explore Twilight in turn Two hearts beat faster as Cadance slowly broke the kiss, drawing a breath and tracing a line with her tongue over Twilights muzzle, neck, and then down her chest, where she was met with the resistance of two hooves. “Ticklish?” Cadance asked with a giggle. “Maybe?” “Good.” The giggles started anew as Cadance used her magic to hold Twilight’s hooves away, then she slid lower to her belly, and after some slow gasps, even lower. Stopping only for a moment as she approached Twilight’s teats: how many times she had dreamed to take it that far, and much further? A swift brush of magic pulled the restricting piece of lingerie to the side, revealing everything Cadance wanted. Cadance wanted to tease her, to egg her on, but she knew she couldn’t control herself for much longer. And—perhaps?—Twilight couldn’t either, judging by the gentle touch of magic that lifted her up. “Is everything alright, Cadance?” “Just admiring the view,” she replied smoothly, earning a groan from Twilight, and shortly after, a moan as she gently licked over her teats. “Not the patient kind, huh?” Instead of waiting for an answer she served a long lick over Twilight’s marehood, immediately falling in love with the sweet taste. Cadance continued to lick her marehood, long licks full of passion, before she took the pearl between her lips, sucking gently. “Oh my, Cadance! I don’t remember it feeling so good!” Twilight cried out. “This was nothing, my little ladybug. We’re not done, trust me.” Giving her her most seductive look, Cadance dove back in and pushed her tongue softly between her dripping labia, making Twilight shiver and thrash. Cadance grinned and sent her tongue deeper, exploring every weak spot, with Twilight completely at her mercy. That was, until Twilight remembered her magic and Cadance felt a magical construct poke her own marehood. “Ooh, kinky.” Cadance purred, while Twilight only gave her a smile before driving the dildo into her, stretching her walls to accommodate the intruder. “Oh yes, Twilight, that’s it!” A proper stallionhood was something Cadance hadn’t had in a long time and it nearly pushed her straight over the edge. Not wanting to be outdone, she used her magic on Twilight’s soft pearl while using her tongue with every talent she had. Both mares tried to bring the other to climax first, but in the end Cadance’s experience won out over Twilight’s enthusiasm, and Twilight tried to stop her cry with her hooves, but failed to do so. Giving Cadance a bit of a warning, the other mare was more than ready to receive the extra fluids. “You taste delicious, Twilight.” The younger alicorn didn’t answer. “Twilight?” Cadance looked up to see the purple alicorn out like a light, gently snoring away. “And I always thought only stallions did this,” she chuckled, grabbing the now unmoving dildo with her magic and removing it before settling down next to Twilight, holding her close with her wings. “Goodnight, little ladybug.” She knew her actions were wrong in so many ways, but she also couldn’t help but feel it would be alright. There was a pony at her side who she would never have to lose.
