Rainbow Dash was taking a walk as she had just gotten finished going for her morning jog around Ponyville as she had wanted to get some exercise done. While she was walking back home she spotted what looked like Twilight sitting by the lake.
She wondered why Twilight disrupted her daily schedule to do something that she didn't normally do. She decided to go see if Twilight was okay. Slowly she walked up to Twilight and looked down at where Twilight was sitting. She stopped walking and spoke.
"Uh...Twilight you look like you zoning out. Why are you out here? You never come here. I'm not saying that I stalk you but I do notice you doing stuff sometimes outside. Why are you sitting on the damp grass? It rained the other night." Rainbow Dash said.
"I'm sitting on a towel so it isn't that bad. Besides I wanted to go hear before everybody else started to mess around in this area and I wanted to experience this place one last time." Twilight asked.
"Maybe." Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight was silent again so Rainbow Dash sat by her and was surprised that it was to wet on the ground. Both of them sat on the ground in silence as they watched the early sun rise. Rainbow Dash wondered what Twilight meant by saying one last time.
"Did you even have breakfast yet? Did you go to one of our friends for breakfast or did you go somewhere in Ponyville? Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight nodded and pulled out a bagel and took another bite from it. She then offered it to Rainbow a Dash which suprised Rainbow Dash but she took a piece from it.
"Um....thanks Twilight...." Rainbow Dash said she slowly put the piece into her mouth and ate it as she wasn't expecting Twilight to share her breakfast with her.
"Your welcome. You can eat more of it if you want. I wasn't going to eat this whole thing anyway." Twilight said. Rainbow Dash smiled and ate some more of it while Twilight ate some more of it as well.
As they ate in silence Rainbow Dash wondered why Twilight wasn't her usual talkative self as she was just as bad as Pinkie Pie sometimes. Rainbow Dash hoped that Twilight wasn't upset or anything. She decided to ask about how she was doing.
"So Twilight how are you feeling?" Rainbow Dash asked Twilight continued to eat in silence as Rainbow Dash waited to answer. She finished her bagel and wiped her mouth off while turning to Rainbow Dash.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I was going to wait till later to tell you but I guess I might as well spill everything to you. I went to the doctor yesterday in Ponyville and Nurse Redheart had me take a blood test. After they had taken the blood test however....something came up." Twilight asked.
Rainbow Dash was about to ask until Twilight took out a vial of her own blood and placed it Rainbow Dash's hands. Rainbow Dash was surprised that Twilight had the doctor give it to her.
"The blood was already tested before I requested to have the vial of it. I didn't steal it if that's what you worried about. Besides it came from my body I am allowed to keep it." Twilight said. Rainbow Dash motioned for her to continue.
"Okay so....what is so important this entire thing?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight got up and motioned for her to come to her house. Rainbow Dash hesitated but groaned and came along anyway.
"I can't describe it for myself so I need to show you." Twilight said. They got to Twilight's castle and went upstairs and Twilight got out a lab microscope and set it on the table. Rainbow Dash watched with caution as she had no idea what Twilight wanted to show her.
Twilight pricked her finger and put the drop blood onto a microscope and had Rainbow Dash look at it. Rainbow Dash looked at it and rolled her eyes.
"Well what do you see!?" Twilight exclaimed.
"The same stuff I saw in biology class. Just some cells and stuff. I'm sorry I'm not a nerd like you." Rainbow Dash joked. Twilight slapped her forehead in frustration.
"How many do you see!?" Twilight asked. Rainbow Dash groaned and counted. Twilight waited as she wanted to make her point.
"I don't know...maybe an estimated 924 trillion cells I think." Rainbow Dash said. Twilight pricked Rainbow Dash's finger and put that under the microscope.
"Ow! What in Equestria was that for!?" Rainbow Dash said.
"Just take a look please I'll explain in a minute." Twilight said. Rainbow Dash sighed and looked through the microscope. Rainbow Dash looked through it and became extremely confused.
"Uh I see... 724 trillion cells...wait a minute you have more than me! That isn't right all humans have the same count. This isn't possible. Science in Equestria has never proved that this is real." Rainbow Dash said.
"Well I found out today that it was. It shocked me to and I don't know what it means but it's very shocking, all humans should have the same count but yet me a princess has more than the average human in Equestria. This is something science has never discovered before but now this strange occurrence is now being observed. I found out about my count today." Twilight explained.
"Well...what does it mean then?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight shrugged.
"That's the thing. I have no idea what it means. This has never been observed in Equestria before but what it does mean is that the history of life in Equestria is about to change." Twilight said.
The day after Twilight had discovered this strange finding she wrote a research paper on it and released her findings to the public. Scientists all over in Equestria were baffled by the different counts in each one. They had Twilight go in for medical tests to find out why she was so different from other people who mostly had the regular count.
As studies to find the truth behind this new discovery continued in Equestria Twilight prepared for the discoveries that these studies would bring as Equestria was about to be shocked.
