Chapters Dirty Sexy Pony: Anniversary
Consider this the sequel to Her Heart 4 .
Prologue.
With a click of the lock, the front door of Cute Boutique was closed and Rarity could now rest after a hard day's work serving her demanding Canterlot clientele.
All of her employees—that was so fun to say—had already left and the white unicorn pony, dressed in a simple jacket of her own chic design, was the last to leave the shop for the day. As part of the closing procedure, Rarity made sure that no roll of fabric, bunch of cloth or spool of thread was out of place and all sewing and other sorts of instruments were kept safely in their boxes or shelves or drawers. Windows closed and locked, curtains drawn and portable mirrors set down.
The floorspace was at least four times as large as her home in Ponyville, which had also served as her previous shop. Of course she didn't just abandon her Carousel Boutique, but left it in very capable hooves. Rarity's sister, Sweetie Belle, had moved in when she and Spike announced that they were moving to Canterlot. The last she heard...well actually, to Rarity's surprise, she supposed she hadn't been keeping up with the latest Ponyville gossip. A twinge of sadness took Rarity while she was shutting off the lights and she paused to reflect on that realization.
She kept up with her friends regularly enough, but that was mostly through letters or the odd visit every now and then. Barely enough to brief the socialite with her closest pony friends and little sister's major life events, much less the day-to-day whispers of a hundred-pony town like Ponyville. But then again, it was unlikely she'd be able to keep up when there was so much going on in Canterlot, where the juicy gossip in Equestria's capital of capitals was so thick that news from her old town was at this point, water. Although sometimes it was sugar water or at least a fine tea, such as the news that Mayor Mare (Rarity couldn't imagine anypony else being the town's mayor, now that she thought about it) had finally announced she'd tie the knot with her long-term coltfriend. Not to be disparaging, of course, but considering the age difference of Ponyville's best known secret couple, it wasn't much of an exaggeration.
And the only reason she had learned of it before it was mentioned in her weekly letters with Fluttershy and Twilight was because Iron Sides was a Wonderbolt. A lower tier member, sure, but nonetheless news of the engagement spread through Canterlot like wildfire. At least, amongst the small to mid-level players of the city's well-to-do like herself.
That was another thought that gave Rarity pause as she was now outside of the shop, locking the backdoor gate. She was now a big fish in the ocean and there were some times that adjusting to the larger environment after living in a small pond for so long was jarring. But after counting all of her blessings, Rarity felt all of her life goals were met. She had finally made it. She was without a doubt, happy.
She had a thriving business-and-sometimes-fashion-school—a somewhat questionable (but legal) way to skirt around paying fashion interns working for credit or at their teacher's store at the market wage. Students weren't guaranteed a working wage in their place of fashion education which meant that in every fashion "school" in Canterlot, free was the expected rate of pay for aspiring fashionistas and designers without their own business. Rarity had screwed up that system by allowing her students not only minimum wage but allowing them to keep any tips they might receive from clients. Then adding in her boutique's excellent price-to-quality ratio into the equation and there was no question as to why Cute Boutique's presence was being felt in Equestria's fashion world. As a result, she didn't make as large a group of friends or followers as she thought she would but Rarity felt no lesser by it.
It was not a difficult thing to do since she did still have a good number of allies in Canterlot—a few in high places, no less—as well as her friends in Ponyville, but best of all she had her husband, Spike, at her side. The sweetest, most generous, most kind and loving husband a wife could ever ask for. But even with that said, there were some strains in her home life as well. Nothing serious of course, but enough to merit complaining about. It was difficult to admit that after two years of marriage, some of the spark in their relationship just seemed to have disappeared. Despite some disappointment however, Rarity still felt satisfied.
Even though it was under less-than-normal circumstances, Rarity remembered their first exchange of passion like it was yesterday, as well as the whirlwind romance that followed after that life-changing night.
Every day was exhilarating and dangerous, ultimately culminating into one particular night when she gave her everything to him. By the time their marriage came about just a year after the Royal Wedding fiasco, the ceremony—while beautiful and touching and heartfelt—was just for show. Rarity knew that they had already become one in heart and soul and will.
In the beginning of their new-found relationship, no longer simply having his way with her, Spike began to train her. Make her into somepony that could satisfy his every desire. Plunge her into an abyss so deep that the hearts of those requiring light to live would shrivel and they would be broken beyond despair. Rarity, however, thrived and flourished like a desert flower that lived simply on love. But then the unthinkable happened; her dear Master disappeared, leaving only a trembling child for her to mold into her ideal lover.
Feeling warmed by the memory, Rarity unconsciously brushed her forehoof against the surface of her fire ruby necklace and smiled. Her solitary hoof steps clacked against the cobblestone streets as she continued home.
While at the time it was frustrating, she now missed the excitement of his feeble attempts to resist. The rush of adrenaline whenever he used to try to escape. In fact what all her friends and family think was a short period of months when she and Spike had "eloped" was actually time spent training. Their sudden disappearance from Ponyville when Rarity left a note saying they had gone to travel across Equestria was simply a ruse to give her time to destroy Spike's ego.
His bursts of determination that were tinged with hope, only to crumble against the reality he was now trapped in. There was so much pleasure to be had, breaking him down and then building him back up. After seven long months she had succeed and she and Spike returned to Ponyville from their "elopement."
There were some days when she was still in Ponyville that Rarity invited her friends over and kept herself busy playing the role of hostess, leaving him alone with them in hopes that he would try to plead for help, just so she could punish him for it later. But alas those days now seemed to be a quaint memory. Just as he was instructed, Spike acted "normally" in front of Twilight and the others. He was a bit awkward about it, but in the end even up to the point that they moved to Canterlot, the girls failed to notice anything.
It would seem that her natural affinity for "training" Spike turned out to be quite the double edged sword.
In every category of her preferences he had become the perfect partner. By some standards he could even be considered too perfect. Of course the thought of her Spike being "too perfect" caused the unicorn to titter in amusement.
Rarity was eager to return home, looking forward to being pampered after a whole day of being the pamperer, wanting nothing more than to have all of her cares and worries slip away. The ten minute walk down the cobblestone street from the boutique led to a posh-looking two-story townhouse situated a block from the market where grocery shopping was done and other stores to buy amenities. With little effort she opened and closed the door with her magic and begun unbuttoning her jacket in the foyer of her home.
"Spike, dear, I'm home." She called out, no longer able to hide the tiredness in her voice.
"Welcome back." A deep voice replied.
Her dearest lover and husband quickly padded over from another room to her and pecked Rarity on the cheek then quickly helped remove her jacket. His clawed hand just barely brushed against her bare shoulder, eliciting a pleasurable shiver from the pony, however minor it was. As Spike busied himself by hanging up the jacket on a coat hanger and placing it into the nearby closet, Rarity drank in the sight of the taller, lean-looking dragon before her and felt her mouth begin to salivate.
It was a surprise to many of her new Canterlotonian friends to learn how much shorter Spike was just a couple of years ago. While enjoying her privacy, there were many times that Rarity couldn't help but host small get-togethers with clients and other icons of the fashion world, alike.
Rarity's modest fame was boosted as a result of Spike's novelty value, as very few ponies had ever met a dragon before. An even lesser number had known about her and Spike from when they lived in Ponyville to truly appreciate how surprising the announcement of their marriage was. Least of which was when her parents came to find out. They were apprehensive in the beginning, until they saw what had become of the baby dragon since they first saw him. Then they passive aggressively voiced their disapproval for a different reason, as their hopes for grandchildren were dashed. It definitely wasn't for a lack of trying.
Taking care to wipe the drool off of her face, Rarity took to making a dramatic, languished sigh. "Oh, Spike. You wouldn't believe the day I had."
"What happened, honey?" He asked with the right mix of sympathy and concern in his voice.
With a tired smile, Rarity began to tell her confidante the sorts of mistakes that fashion students were want to do, the laziness of her usual materials supplier and the decidedly egregious lapse in judgement of the certification board in denying a license for her prized student, Starla Shine. She regaled her ever attentive husband while they ate dinner in their lavishly furnished dining room and the fury of her anger was kept to a minimum by the delectable sweetness of Spike's crèmes brûlée for dessert.
"Really? Would you like me to draw you a bath?" Spike asked as he came back from the kitchen after cleaning the table and letting the dishes and utensils soak in the sink.
"Mmm, that would be just wonderful, darling..." She moaned gaily at the suggestion. Without needing further instructions, the dragon turned to quickly start the water in the bathroom on the second floor of the house.
"...but!" Rarity said, stopping Spike in his tracks as he was about to climb the stairs down the hall from where she was in the dining room. He remained still with his left leg raised to place it on the third step, frozen as though time had stopped. She couldn't help but grin at the amazing body control her Spike had as she peered out into the hallway to indulge in the manner his muscles tensed to hold that position. "...tonight I'd prefer the other bath..."
"Of course." He replied and aimed his intense gaze toward her, making his way into the kitchen. Rarity giggled like a filly and pranced over to the living room with barely restrained excitement for her bath.
Since becoming a married mare Rarity found that she had become less strict about keeping clean and tidy. There was still a need for things to remain presentable and for herself and her husband to stay hygienic, of course, but that was only really whenever they were in public. Her stress levels had dropped considerably since realizing that a stain or some dust wasn't worth having a nervous meltdown or panic attack. Such was the benefit of maturing, as well as learning a few tricks to clean or preserve fabric. It also helped to have Spike help in those endeavors.
Rarity regarded herself in the three-sided full length mirror of her mini-workspace of the living room that she now found herself in, as she reclined on her favorite red couch. A number of things had conspired to soften her lean and toned physique over the past couple of years: the fact that she was no longer on the "market" meant she no longer had to worry about attracting "Mr. Right"; the high caloric and fatty dressings on the salads and other foods often found at the house parties or restaurants she socialized in to stay relevant, as well as the delectable and mouth watering meals Spike made at home; and the help of having four student-employees working at the boutique when before she had to do everything herself.
From her reflection, there was no reason to think she exploded in size, as long as one ignored the whispers of the bored and/or jealous housewives of Canterlot idly passing the time while their husbands provided them with everything and showered them with gifts so they would not leave. All of them sham marriages or arrangements of convenience between traditional families of the high elite that simpered around the princesses and their distantly related royal family. All of that was so far removed from her and Spike's loving relationship.
"Would you like your bath now, dear?" His voice, now deeper as he matured and grown in size, asked in such a doting manner that she nearly swooned right then and there. But the unicorn held strong and urged herself to be patient. He entered from the kitchen with a glass full of water in his hand and set it on the table next to the couch after taking a sip.
"Mmm..." Rarity licked her lips and propped her head onto the arm rest to look at him in her splayed out position. "...that would be divine!"
Hearing his loving wife's desires, Spike leaned toward the unicorn and immediately went to work.
Beginning with her silky, luxurious purple tail, Spike opened his mouth and dragged his tongue along its length. Each time, bringing his face tantalizingly close to her rear and holding large strands of her tail with both hands, licked and sucked all the way to the end.
Then he moved to her hind legs. Starting with her right leg, his tongue dragged slowly up from the hoof and over the hock, paying particular attention to her gaskin and stopped short of the stifle before returning once more to the heel and hoof. Rarity sighed in contentment, twirling the forelock of her purple mane and enjoyed the sight more than the feeling of his tongue now working on her left leg.
Spike then moved down to her rear, detouring up her leg to her cutie mark then traced all the way back over the curvature of her buttocks. He rolled her from side to side as he did this first to her right side then the left. Now held on her back, Rarity watched with eagerness as Spike dipped lower to coil his tongue around the root of her tail, and tugged and flicked the forked muscle much to her giggling pleasure.
He smiled when she playfully flicked her tail at him and she sighed happily at the sight.
"Excuse me." He said politely as he paused for a drink of water before he brought his face close to her nethers once more. She was just about to chuckle when he briefly moved between her legs and her breath caught in her throat, but soon continued—much to her disappointment—toward the girth of her barrel.
She writhed helplessly at his expert tongue work over her stomach and chest up to the base of her neck. Even twitching from the tickling sensation of his tongue flicking against her elbows at the base of forelegs.
He climbed atop of her on the couch to continue his work, leaning into her and bathing her, along with his tongue, with his hot breaths against her hair-covered flesh. His clawed hands massaged her withers and Rarity shivered and involuntarily flapped her ears with a low pleasured groan as his probing muscle lapped up her neck to the latch of her throat one last time. "Stop." She said and immediately Spike halted his ministrations.
Rarity grinned at his amazing body control in contrast to her own weakening resolve after the assault she had just suffered.
"Do you want to put it in?" Rarity asked with baited breath, lightly biting her bottom lip as her glance changed between his face and his delectable dragonhood dangling above her, which had unsheathed itself some time over the course of the bathing session. Small beads of precum dripped from its tip onto her belly.
"Is that what you want?" He asked her back, arousal obvious in his voice but he made no moves without her explicit order. His eyes remained locked toward hers, never deviating away.
She let out a wavering sigh, feeling her loins moisten at the sheer dominance she had over this rippling example of masculinity. There was an underlying disappointment that he would never take her on his own initiative, but she was working on that. It was easier to teach him simple commands than independent thinking, which often became routine on days she desired some spontaneity.
"Hmmm...just wait a moment, dear." In measured motions Rarity brushed the knees of her forelegs against his thick, scaled arms. She inspected his comparatively softer chest and underbelly, lacking the harder protective scales that covered the rest of his body but was tough and broad with dense muscle. "Just...just a bit more..." She muttered distractedly. Rarity's heart went aflutter as she played with Spike's pectorals and abdominals, poking or prodding with giggly, unceasing amusement at how defined and sculpted his body was, as though it were carved from marble.
While Rarity was busy entertaining herself, Spike remained still and quiet, patiently waiting for her answer. The movement of his chest was hypnotizing as it swelled in size with every intake of breath.
Without further ado, Rarity pressed her face against his chest and nickered at the feel of his toned body against her cheek. She cooed and moaned while nuzzling him, going so far as to purr in delight as Spike held strong in silence for her answer.
Her heart began to race.
She deeply inhaled the smell of their combined salty-sour musk now beginning to fill the room. Rarity began to tremble as the symptoms of her addiction began to rear their ugly heads once more.
Her thoughts began to grow foggy, and only desire would soon drive her until she became satisfied.
For the longest time she didn't understand what it was that had been afflicting her. It was only upon Twilight's revelation about the Starswirl the Bearded section in the Canterlot archives that she was able to learn what had become of her.
While nothing exact was found in the treasure trove of books and knowledge, Rarity happened upon a number of stories that told of creatures that predate upon ponies and unicorns in particular, to feed on their magic. They nourished themselves by catching and trapping their prey in several different ways, one of which was a story of a monster that intoxicated its prey and fed on it until its mind broke down and was unable to provide any more magic.
Rarity remembered that she felt a cold sweat overtake her when she read what Twilight called "unsubstantiated and unreliable accounts." But by then she no longer cared. She was too far gone and far too twisted to be cured. If such a cure could exist. Or rather, she rationalized to herself, she had been freed.
There was a romantic notion for her when she thought about how they literally needed one another. That a bit of herself was required to sustain him, and she desired having his essence within her.
Both poison and antidote.
They were each others' addictions.
"...Ra...Rarity wants it..." She finally breathed out in admission. "...Rarity wants...your strong, thick...cock...inside of her..." Shame washed over her like a blanket of heat that caused her to sweat as she returned to her old speaking habit. She gulped down an ever increasing amount of saliva in her mouth, and soon enough her drool ran down to her chin at the sight of Spike's dragonhood now lining up at the entrance of her puffy lower lips. It was an after effect of her dear Master's training that would never truly go away, not that she would ever want it to.
"Ah!" Rarity gasped, tensing and loosening her body as his girth suddenly pushed into her, filling her up. She sighed in relief, as though managing to whet her thirst in a desert oasis. But her want for more only grew. Without needing her say anything he thrust his hips forward and she gasped and quaked at the expert pistoning.
"Mmmmmmm!" Every so often he pressed forward until he completely at the hilt then returned to a regular pace for a few more thrusts. Because of how well trained he had become, his instincts were no longer a problem. There was no longer any trace of what Spike used to be, for better or worse. But after a while Spike became sluggish and tired without the nourishment of magic. She was more than happy to oblige.
"S-spike!" Rarity closed her eyes and desperately called his name. Their lips met, pressing against one another when they parted and with their tongues they reached into each others' mouths. The taste of her sweat and his saliva coated his tongue, wrangling against her flatter, wider muscle. He took advantage of his tongue's dexterity, coiling it around her and massaging it inside of her mouth, causing Rarity to moan then spasm in quick climax one after another as his strong thrusts continued.
Unable to breath, Rarity broke the kiss and gasped for air, letting out a low shaky groan out of pleasure. "Mmmm! Say it, Spike!"
"I love you so much, Rarity!" He quickly said on command.
She opened her eyes and looked into his intense glare, feeling her excitement rise at the sight of his green irises. "A-again!"

They both were panting and sweaty. In the middle of her labored breathing, Rarity chuckled to herself for exerting so much after just taking a bath. As though he had realized the same thing, she twitched in surprise at the feel of Spike's tongue lavishing her body once more.
She moaned as Spike's body ground against hers while his coarse tongue slithered and lapped at her neck and face, however she was simply too exhausted to continue that play anymore. She still had to wake up early tomorrow morning to open the shop and deal with another day of work. There was also that exam she had to give her students... 'If only today was Friday... ' she thought to herself regretfully, '...then we could have just spent the entire weekend on this couch. '
Resigning to the unfairness of reality, the pony sighed and groaned in sadness as her dragon lover had just begun stroking his tongue against a particularly sensitive spot behind her ear. "Mmmm, no, Spike, you don't have to right now...Rarity just...n-no...I mean...I just want your warmth for the time being." He immediately acquiesced, and allowed himself to be pulled closer to Rarity when she wrapped her forelegs around his torso.
The burning throes of rapture soon dissipated, leaving only the afterglow of euphoria to course through her exhausted body. Rarity closed her eyes and smiled, reveling in the feeling of going to sleep in the arms of her lover.
Author's Note: Let's see how far I can get with this "happier" storyline before I screw it up.

Chapter 1
Starla Shine was always called "gifted" and "extraordinary" and "unique" by her friends and family back in Baltimare. Mostly exaggerations, of course, and it wasn't like she ever took the praise too seriously.
She was helpful around town; volunteering her time with the elderly, tutoring the neighborhood colts and fillies, and working part time in the different shops and stores, in addition to helping her family business. Starla was also well known as one of the nicest ponies you'd ever meet, voted so by the town two years in a row. All in all, she was just eager to make a difference in the world.
Not to mention that her violet mane and white coat always attracted a good number of would-be suitors. The locals eventually made a game out of it, to see how long it would take until some lucky stallion managed to swoon their charming beauty off her hooves. Her interests however, soon had her move away from her hometown and to the center of Equestria's fashion world in order to make it big as a model. It was an issue of a fashion magazine that presented the beautiful pegasus Fluttershy that first inspired Starla, who up to that point was following her destiny to become a teacher because of her cutie mark; a telescope aimed at a depiction of the north star.
She quickly learned however that being cute and talented counted for nothing in Canterlot if you didn't have any industry connections. Of course, with the price to rent a room at astronomical levels, it would have been impossible to make any headway toward her dream if it weren't for her uncle, who made his place available free of charge to her since he spent most of his time out of town. From that starting point Starla was hard at work, applying the skills she developed helping around in Baltimare to do odd jobs around Canterlot while attending workshops, auditions, anything to get her name out there.
At some point the stars must have aligned, or perhaps she was simply in the right place at the right time, because on her fourth audition, after weeks of laboring around the city without a steady job, Starla felt as though her dreams would soon come true when she caught the interest of the pony who owned one of Canterlot's best known modeling agencies, Glamorous.
Starla soon found herself helping all over the agency both on and off season because of her multitude of skills. Whether it was helping the gaffers with the runway lights or mixing the foundation and eye liner for the make up artists, or doing final touches with fitting adjustments just before a show started, she was there. None of those things however, led her any closer to making it onto the catwalk, much less try out the beautiful dresses and saddles that the models—who unlike her were also paid for their work—got to.
It was on one occasion a few months into her new job when Starla had a chance encounter with the designer hiring the agency to model a Fall fashion line, although she did not realize it at first. She was rushing through the backstage on her way to deliver coffee for Glam and the models when a mannequin wearing a platinum colored skirt bedecked in sapphires and pink diamonds caught her eye. Well, it was simply an eye-catching design in the first place, but what worried her was seeing the bottom end of the skirt touching the floor. In a matter of minutes, Starla found herself lying on the floor with a pair of fabric scissors in her telekinetic grip as she carefully hemmed at the bottom portion of the skirt, when a voice from behind her caught Starla unawares.
"Oh? That's interesting. Whatever are you doing, shearing up that skirt?"
"The length is too long and if I didn't try to adjust it the material will fray from dragging along the runway during the show. That's just a tripping hazard waiting to happen even if you tried using a clothes or safety pin as a stopgap. It wouldn't work since the cloth is too heavy and weighs down naturally as a result. You wouldn't believe all of the neck and leg injuries I've seen working here...but mostly it's because I'd hate to see such a lovely design get damaged like that."
"But what about using a taller model? Or give the model being used heels? Wouldn't that solve the problem?"
"I did a quick measurement and realized that it's too long for even our tallest model, even if she wore a practical set of heels."
"Is that really the case? Hmmm...it's unfortunate, but I'll have to deduct some points from Paris' final grade, then." Confused by this comment, Starla spun in place and realized she had been talking with a certain white coated, purple maned pony. As she began to stammer out her surprise, Rarity was looking away distractedly at another of the designs that was to be presented in that night's show.
"What's that belt doing around the mannequin wearing the purple dress? Is that your doing, too?"
Starla gulped in worry but nodded all the same before realizing that the other pony wouldn't have seen the gesture. "That's just my belt. I thought it'd look cute since I can't wear it right now, being that I need to be on the floor to cut the skirt quickly enough for it to be part of the show."
"You have quite an eye for color and composition, dear." Rarity said without sarcasm and turned her discerning eyes toward Starla. "What did you say your name was, again?"
"Um...I didn't. It's Starla, Miss Rarity. Starla Shine."
Starla was somewhat taken aback by the mare's warm chuckle and felt a flush of embarrassment creep over her cheeks causing her to nervously smile back.
"Does my reputation really precede me like that? Please do just call me Rarity, sweetie. Although it's a lot better than being called 'Mrs.' all the time just because I'm married."
Antsy nerves caused Starla to let out a forced laugh, from being unsure if the designer standing before her was soliciting such a thing with her quip. But rather than stay on that topic, Rarity brought herself close to Starla to look over her last minute work on the skirt. Without warning she took hold of the scissors with her magic and made adjustments of her own, expertly cutting off loose threads and straightening out the look of the skirt overall before setting the scissors onto the vanity table nearby.
"I'll be upfront with you." Rarity began, still inspecting the last-minute changes on the platinum skirt. "I'm rather infamous for my, shall we call it...head hunting, as it were, around certain fashion circles and I was wondering if I could steal you away for my boutique? Have you heard of it?"
'Have I heard of it?' Starla thought to herself, secretly appalled by the question. The Cute Boutique was one of her favorite places to window shop, since she was unable to afford any of those top-of-the-line dresses on her meager agency non-salary and part-time wages from all of her other jobs. Even if she had suddenly come under some money, it wasn't like she had any occasion to wear them to. So Starla was resigned to simply stand outside of the shop whenever she wasn't working or auditioning and feeling jealous of the mannequins in the window front as they were dressed in the latest designs from Canterlot's newest fashion shop and school. She'd imagine herself wearing a delightful green satin sarong or an unforgettable red velvet evening saddle or even a beautiful blue gown to wear at the Grand Galloping Gala. Instead of letting loose her inner fangirl and scaring off one of Equestria's most innovative designers, Starla curtly and politely nodded her head in response to the question.
"Really? How wonderful!" Rarity cheered, looking genuinely happy by Starla's answer as her overjoyed smile gave way to a more mischievous smirk. "It pays decently enough as I know it's quite expensive to live in a place like Canterlot. Of course, I also understand that what I'm offering isn't modeling but, well..neither is what you're doing, dearie."
Starla blinked a few times and looked over the trays of coffee cups she was carrying set on the floor around her and frowned, but restrained herself from responding. Though her facial expressions were enough for Rarity to make a short hum to herself.
"Hmm. I expect you bright and early at 9 o'clock. I don't like dawdlers."
And with that, she was brought under Rarity's proverbial wing.
The following day, along with three other aspiring designers, Starla found herself in the second group of ponies enrolled in the Cute Boutique School of Fashion & Design.
Apparently the paperwork and arrangements were all made between Rarity and Glamorous, allowing Starla to focus her worries on her entrance examination: To construct a dress of any type and style from the materials, sewing kit and machine provided in order to determine all four students' basic skill levels. Needless to say, spending her days doing last-minute adjustments before modeling events for all those months at the agency paid off, even if she did only get the second-best marks that day.
The class was divided between two three-day sections with one day off. For three days a week Starla and the three other students learned the business side of fashion, working at Rarity's boutique during store hours and dealing with the day-to-day grind of running a boutique. Dealing directly with clients was reserved for Rarity herself, as well as the top student for the week under her direct supervision. The remaining three were then expected to keep the floor clean, account for materials and deliveries and ring up purchases and orders. Essentially busy work. But at least for Starla, she could see an actual relevance for anypony aspiring to be a fashion designer. The other three days were evening classes spent on theory, design and hoofs-on workshops which gave the students a chance to impress their teacher as well as individual attention as they worked on preparing for a fashion show at the end of the year that would be their final examination.
While never being as innovative or avant garde as her peers with her designs, Starla managed well enough with her more consistent approach that focused on the technical aspects rather than creativity, as well as her way with words with less fashion-conscious clients that led to a decent flow of business for the store. For the most part, Starla devoted the majority of her creative energies on a single gown that she wanted to present for her final.
Hers was a mostly white and gold affair, influenced by Princess Cadence's wedding dress. However Starla wanted a more practical version, so she used less fragile materials and thus had to manually add interesting designs to the fabric while hiding as much of the stitching as possible.
"It's coming along quite well." Her teacher mused as Starla ran a part of the train through the sewing machine a third time.
Starla mostly got used to that and stayed focused on her work to make sure the thread was not rushed and accidentally run through where it wasn't needed. After the full length of the material made it through the machine without trouble, Starla brought the dress close to her eyes to inspect her work. "I'm not sure if it's fitted properly, though. It looks good on a mannequin, but I don't know if it would hold well on a moving pony."
"If that's the case, test it out. Why don't you try it on?"
Starla blinked in surprise, caught off guard by the common sense suggestion. "R-really? Can I?" She looked to the purple maned mare with barely restrained excitement.
"Sure! Why not? I do it all the time!" Rarity said with a laugh.
Since the other students were busy with their own work, it took a few minutes for Starla to put on the dress by herself and she was speechless with the sight of her reflection. Even if it wasn't fully finished, she knew that this was the most ambitious of any of her designs that she didn't dislike.
"Why Starla, it looks simply marvelous on you!" She blushed and shrunk from her teacher's praise, perhaps the first time she ever did so when anypony complimented her work. "You have quite the figure for it, darling!" Starla blushed even more, feeling stiff and awkward in such a beautiful dress. It would probably look better on a figure like Rarity, she decided. But before she could say so, her teacher had already sauntered off to the next table and squealed excitedly at the sight of another one of Collette's ridiculous-looking hats.
Starla watched the exchange with no particular interest in the subject as she carefully removed the dress and returned it to its mannequin. Her eyes would switch every now and then between the flower embroidery on the side of the dress and Rarity making the rounds to the other two work stations.
With half of her attention on her needlework, Starla watched in amazement as her teacher effortlessly solved a design flaw in Florence's tortoise shell-inspired saddle a few tables down.
Rarity was everything Starla wasn't. Her teacher was often swimming in confidence, able to say what was on her mind yet be able to twist the truth so that even the harshest comment or criticism would be easier to swallow. Starla had enough of a hard time during the critique portion of their weekly classes, being unsure if she was even qualified to judge her classmates' hard work.
Not Rarity, to the point of sometimes saying a bit too much, but she was able to recognize when those times happened and apologize. But of course, the mare had practiced her hoof in nearly every aspect of fashion, from designing, making, selling and wearing her clothes and accessories. She was always willing to push the boundaries of acceptable both in and outside of fashion. The most obvious example of this was the fact that she was even married to a dragon.
There were some times Starla wondered if they ever...had sex like other married couples, which would often cause her to blush whenever her mind drifted onto the topic. It was confusing and hard to imagine since obviously, they were a mixed species couple. 'Like, how would it even work?' She would often ask herself, unsure what the equipment was like for other animals. But the main shock for most ponies including Starla herself was that they were very proud of the fact, often times kissing in public or nuzzling one another with smiles on their faces.
While his wife was oftentimes melodramatic and outspoken, Spike was calm, cool and collected. His picture was probably next to the word gentlepony in the dictionary...no, gentledragon. Considering how stoic he was it wouldn't surprise Starla if it'd be acceptable for him to be considered an example of both.
It was no less than a week later, on the third day of their applied business portion of the course, that Spike had appeared unannounced at the store.
"Spike?" Rarity gasped and looked toward her husband in measured surprise. "What are you doing here?""
"You forgot this." He said somewhat mechanically, and walked over to her to hold out some object that she seemed to recognize.
"Oh, you're such a dear, honey bun!" Rarity trotted over to the dragon without fear and then proceeded to exchange nose kisses as her tail swayed back and forth in happiness. After a moment of tense silence, Rarity distractedly blurted out while blushing and girlishly giggling, "Uh...I'll be closing the store early today, girls. You're all free to leave."
With catcalls and knowing giggles of their own, the four students ushered themselves out and watched with amusement as the drapes and blinds of the store windows were quickly drawn. After some lively chatter amongst themselves, the three other students turned toward the week's current top student.
"Hey Starla, Jubilee's dad just came up with a new cake recipe! Carrot Chiffon! You wanna come with?"
Excited to join the others, Starla was about to chime affirmatively when a figure across the street caught her eye. Wearing a sad smile, Starla quickly shook her head in regret. "Sorry, girls. I just remembered I have another job to get to."
"Really?" Collette, a blue pony with a green mane she was proud of, put on a look to make her eyes wide and watery while making a tiny pout.
However, the red coated, orange maned Jubilee blocked the girl's attempt to guilt Starla by walking between them while rolling her eyes at the hat maker. She turned toward the other pony with a sad look. "Aw. We understand, Starla. Wish we could help out."
Starla found that a bit hard to believe and smirked upon hearing it. "Yeah, right you would." She knew the other three had a hard enough time paying for their own rent, considering they were all roommates living in a single bedroom house.
"Heheh...you caught me red hoofed." It was Starla's turn to roll her eyes at Jubilee's favorite joke and waved as the girls began to walk away.
"We'll save you a slice, then!" She heard Florence call back and smiled.
"You better!" Starla said with a bit of a laugh. After she was sure her classmates were out of sight, the unicorn made sure no one else she knew was nearby before going across the street toward the less-than-inconspicuous mare in a trench coat wearing large rimmed sunglasses.
The tan coat and distinctive curly blue mane could only belong to one pony in particular. A pony that was not only the manager and owner of one of the city's best known modeling agencies, but was also on Canterlot's fashion licensing board. She was also Starla's first industry contacts since she first came to the capital nearly a year ago.
"It's been so long, Starla! How's my girl doing? Have you been enjoying your time with Rarity after you left me without so much as a goodbye?"
She was also her first harsh lessons learned about the existence of ponies that take advantage of a young girl's dreams.
"We've missed you so much at the agency. I just wonder why you've never tried to get in touch with me, seeing how I was the first to see your potential!"
"Stop dancing around and just tell me what you want, Glam." Starla restrained most of her frustration from the other pony's faked niceties.
"Hmm...alright. I'll play it straight if you want." The pony said with a smile, dropping the friendly tone and not looking deflated from the interruption to her light banter. "Your father's come into some trouble back in Baltimare."
"What?" Starla gasped. The last she heard the money from her dad's private investigation business was enough to pay the bills and frequent lawsuits from the angry targets his clients often sent him after in the past. To help him after his retirement, Starla had even been sending money from her job at the boutique every week and couldn't think of any reason for this news. "What happened? Is my dad alright?"
"Heh." Glam smirked. "Unfortunately he crossed with the wrong group of 'businessponies' back in your hometown." Using her magic, the tan unicorn lifted out from within her trench coat a photo of a stallion tied to a chair and gagged. He was bruised and his right eye was swelling up. The lighting was dim but it was clear enough what had happened. "You can keep that, if you want."
'Dad, you promised you'd stop!' Starla gulped at seeing the photo, almost feeling queasy. But she knew that the other pony would enjoy seeing her upset so she kept her face neutral and internalized the sickness. "So, why me?"
"Why?" Glam almost seemed genuinely surprised, or at least would have if it weren't for the smirk remaining on her face. "Because you're his daughter. So of course you have a stake in this."
"Yes. But why would you give me a chance to save him in the first place? Why me specifically?"
"Why you, indeed?" Glam said, her tone of voice getting lower and laced with spite. "It's because you insulted me by leaving my agency. To work for Rarity, no less." Starla frowned upon hearing her teacher's name spat out as though it were a dirty word, but remained silent. "Well, I never really liked you in the first place, anyway. It's just that with your white coat and purple mane you looked close enough like her that I could enjoy making you fetch things and deliver me coffee every morning."
"That's why you hired me? Because you had some issues with Rarity in the past and wanted to take it out on me?" Starla growled out now, irritated that all those months of unpaid labor was just the result of a grudge. However, even though she didn't know the full story, Starla was sure that no matter the circumstances she'd side with her teacher without hesitation.
"You know I just noticed...your hair's gotten a bit longer since I last saw you." Glam suddenly commented. "Heh. It's sort of pathetic how you've even curled your forelock like hers." Enjoying the burst of angry emotion on the white unicorn's face, Glam chuckled quietly to herself. "But I'm getting a bit off topic now, aren't I? You see, my mantra has always been that ponies work best if there's positive incentives to work toward, in addition to more urgent motivations."
"I fail to see what any of that has to do with me."
"I'm saying that if you do this one little favor of mine, I'll make sure that your application for a Canterlot business license will be dealt with first thing tomorrow. Or would you rather I fit you in with Photo Finish's next fashion shoot? Heck, I'm feeling generous, why not both? All that on top of assuring that your father is safe and sound, of course. At least for the time being, anyways."
Starla grit her teeth tightly, her eyes beginning to see red. "I don't care about your offers, Glam. I just want you or anyone else to stay away from my dad from now on."
"Sure, I can do that." She responded quickly. "But since you're asking for immediate results, it's only fair I expect the same from you. Meaning that you have to do this favor of mine tonight."
"...fine." Starla immediately agreed, wanting no more than to get this mare out of her sight. "What is it?"
"Well, considering who your father is, I'm sure you have experience digging through ponies' trash for dark and embarrassing secrets." Glam started to explain. "I want you to pay your dear teacher a visit and bring me all the juicy gossip you can find. Something that'll run her out of Canterlot and back into that backwater village of hers permanently."
Starla was seething with rage. Angry with Glamorous for putting her into this situation. Angry at her father for putting himself into danger, even after he promised her he would stop investigating. What was the point of her sending money back home in the first place?
But most frustratingly of all, however, she was angry at herself for not being able to see any other way out of this mess.

After making her preparations Starla left her uncle's house, walking down the cobblestone streets toward Rarity's townhouse toward the center of Canterlot, close to the marketplace. To avoid suspicion she had packed the items she would need into her saddlebags, such as a set of a dark navy blue-colored disguise comprised of a tight fitting suit meant to cover her cutie mark and most of her body, as well as a mask to hide her face and tuck her mane out of view. It was a Wednesday night, meaning that tomorrow there was only an evening class to attend.
Princess Celestia had already brought the sun down over the horizon and cast Equestria into a night in preparation for Princess Luna's custody, so Starla hid in a nearby alleyway around the corner from Rarity's home to don her disguise.
It took mere minutes to sneak into the townhouse, being that its prefabricated design meant it shared all of the same attributes as her uncle's home, which was constructed in much the same way. The moon had yet to rise, leaving the interior she had snuck into through a side window was pitched in darkness. Unlike black, dark navy blended much better into the night, shrouding Starla in the same evening and completely blurred her shape as she moved quietly through what appeared to be the dining room. Careful of stepping onto any creaky boards, it took much longer for the unicorn to navigate down the hallway toward the base of the stairs that would lead to the second floor.
Rather than try to sneak into Rarity's bedroom, Starla decided to take on what she knew was a hidden door at the rear of the staircase that was revealed behind a false wooden panel. It was common for homes like this to have a wine cellar, and ever since the Changeling attack on Canterlot it was also decreed for all homes to have some sort of shelter. It made sense then to Starla for the entrance to be hidden from view as most any invading force would be unawares unless they had done enough research. It gave her the impression that this was a wine cellar that was converted to be more hospitable to things other than barrels full of wine. The rich and famous of Canterlot would often keep their most precious things in such a place.
And so she proceed downward, her senses smacked by an unexpected pungent stench that was contrary to what was supposed to be an ever ready safe room. It took some effort to noiselessly make her way down the flight of stairs, allowing her horn to aid her eyes once she was fully immersed in complete darkness.
What she saw made her eyes grow wide.
A chill ran up Starla's spine as the light of her horn lent an eerie glow to what she saw.
Her voice quietly escaped her lips, as her mind was unable to process this situation fast enough for it to seem real. "Is this...some sort of dungeon...?" Starla whispered to herself quiveringly.
Then a creak of wood rang out like a scream behind her.
Starla spun in place to see a certain white coated, purple maned pony standing at the base of the stairs.
"You're trespassing, little miss." Rarity stated simply. Dressed in a bathrobe, she took a step forward, her hooves clacking against the harder stone floor of the "cellar."
"But I should have expected this to happen sooner or later. Ah, such is the price of even minor celebrity!" She gave a theatrical sigh and covered her eyes with her foreleg with equal flourish before standing normally again before her masked intruder. Her eyes took on a devious look that was at odds with a mare who just had her home broken into.
"It seems that you've gotten yourself quite lost, miss burglar. I would have let you get away with a bauble or two. Maybe even a few dishes or silverware. It's just unfortunate that you have such a poor sense of direction to end up down here of all places...or perhaps that's the reason why you've fallen into thievery in the first place?"
Unconsciously she brushed her hoof against the fire ruby necklace poking out from underneath her bathrobe. "Spike," She spoke out in a regular tone of voice, "come down here, please."
Heavy foot falls depressed the wooden stairs until the beastly form of a wingless dragon came into Starla's view, his ominous and intimidating size compared to her own loomed all the more under her and Rarity's horns glowing blue.
For every step Rarity took toward her, Starla stumbled back two. Her continuing advance pushed Starla into constant retreat until she pressed against a wall, far opposite from the stairs. There were no doors or even windows.
She had been cornered.
There was no way to escape.
Rarity kept a respectful distance from her while her dragon husband stood sentinel right behind her. His intense, stoic glare gave Starla the impression that a cold draft was blowing now, chilling her very bones.
"Who sent you?" The mare's voice cut through the silence and Starla twitched in surprise to look back at the other unicorn. Starla gulped. She trembled slightly from seeing her beloved teacher's apathetic smile. There was no sense that she really cared for an answer but just wanted to be polite.
"...I...can't say..."
"Oh." Rarity's smile thinned. Rather than irritation, Starla quietly feared that that signaled in an increased curiosity in this fly trapped in the silk threads of a spider's web. "Well then, what's your name?"
"...I..." Starla trembled, hoping that the shakiness of her voice now would disguise it. "...I..." Who would receive a worse fate, she wondered. A masked burglar intent on fencing some expensive looking items or Starla Shine, star pupil of Rarity's Cute Boutique and fashion school, who happened upon her teacher's dark secret? "...can't say..."
The terrifying pause made Starla's hairs stand on end. Like an executioner raising their axe.
"I see. I understand." Rarity's voice became soothing rather than shrill and quiet; her smile warmer and welcoming rather than cold stifling. "Spike, be a sweetheart and ravage her for me, please?"
"Yes, dear." The dragon's deep voice rumbled and caused Starla's heart to stir in fear.
"Wait, wha-" She stammered once the other unicorn's words registered. Faster than her eyes could follow, the dragon rushed close to her and grabbed her horn just as she thought to use her magic to help her escape.
In an instant fire seemed to rush throughout her body. Starla's eyes rolled back and she made a quivering inhale.
Her knees grew weak and she buckled to the cold ground, the dragon still holding firm onto her horn. In an effortless fashion he lifted her up by her horn and pressed her back against the wall, hooves barely touching the ground.
She watched in dizzied frenzy as a clawed finger from his other hand reached between her dangling legs and pressed against her crotch at the base of her tail then drew upwards, cutting into the tough material of her costume with ease.
Walking casually up to her, Rarity stood up on her rear legs and leaned against the wall, bringing her face close to Starla's.
Starla squirmed and whined pitifully to escape from the other mare's probing hoof thrust against her groin without warning. Rarity pouted and stopped her assault to say in a disappointed tone like a mother chastising a child for not eating their peas, "Don't be so stubborn, darling. If I don't prepare you, it's going to hurt."
"What's...going to hurt?" Starla stuttered out.
Rarity chuckled, growing fond of the girl's naivety. "Your first time, of course. Which is why-"
Starla's eyes shot wide. "NO! Pl-please, don't!" The unicorn trembled fearfully when she noticed her teacher's lips contoured into a pleasured smile, as though she was being nourished by her prey's fear.
Starla's breaths were loud and labored. In her hyperventilation her mind raced to bargain for her safety. "I swear I can't tell you who sent me!" She screeched out, her throat devoid of saliva. She gulped dryly, ignoring the sandpaper texture of her tongue as adrenaline spiked throughout her body. "I'll tell you anything else! Please..if I told you...if I did-I don't know what, but...they threatened to hurt my dad! Please...please, he's all I have left! Just...just don't do this...please!"
"Aw. If you feel so adamant about it, I guess I have no choice. A girl's first time should be special, after all."
Relief washed through her like a wave. Starla smiled, happy that her heart that was on the verge of shattering from the palpitations was returning to a more regular rhythm.
"Spike, put it in gently."
"Yes, dear."
With that simple sentence her hopes were blown away. Only Rarity's horn emitted light now, as Starla's focus was broken and fear took a tighter grip on her body than the clawed hand around her horn. "Please..." Starla whimpered, fruitlessly shaking her head from side to side while her horn was still caught. "...I don't...want my first time like this..." As the dragon drew closer from behind Rarity, Starla clenched her eyes shut, bracing for the searing pain.
"Hnnnnnnnnn-haaaaaaa!" She heard Rarity sigh in pure pleasure. Opening her eyes, Starla gulped and panted in surprise as her idol and mentor's face became flushed before her.
The aristocratic and charming Rarity.
The quick-witted and independent Rarity.
The hard working, industrious, beautiful Rarity...head lolling back and moaning loudly like a common whore. Her forelegs trembled weakly to barely hold her leaning position and Starla found the distance between them closing.
Starla felt lightheaded, mesmerized by the mare's half-lidded gasping and elated smile as their bodies were now pressing against one another. "Mmm, your eyes are so pretty." Rarity said in a low moan. Before she could reply, Starla's thoughts melted away when Rarity suddenly leaned in and touched her lips against her own and just as quickly pulled back. A chaste and soft kiss.
Her first.
Rarity kissed her again. A quick peck that brushed against Starla's upper lip.
Then again. The corner of her mouth, this time.
The mare pulled back and smugly cast her eyes over the results of her work: Starla's face was a feverish red, her blue eyes half-lidded and glazed over like her own. Rarity hummed lovingly in approval.
Their faces became close and Rarity watched as Starla pursed her lips toward her. She caught the unicorn's flesh with her own, then quickly nipped at the girl's bottom lip with her teeth. Starla squealed in surprise and vainly tried to pull away, as Spike still had a firm grasp on her horn and held her in place against the wall.
Rarity paused and closed her eyes for a moment to feel her husband's languid thrusts into her. She cooed. Starla moaned at the sight and sound. Rarity looked at her. Their crystal blue eyes exchanged desirous looks.
Wordlessly, while staring intensely into her blue eyes, Rarity touched her hoof to Starla's nethers, tracing soft, circular motions around her lower lips. She pulled herself close to the restrained pony and parted her lips, sticking out her tongue to imitate her hoof by slowly outlining the panting girl's open mouth. Rarity moaned, letting her tongue vibrate against Starla's mouth as she felt a glistening wetness against her hoof.
She paused, taking her hoof away from Starla's loins and held back a chuckle upon hearing the tiniest of whimpers.
Rarity smiled and decided to make a show from her inspection of her raised hoof. She brought it close to her face to sniff the touch of juices on it before licking experimentally with a sultry moan. Hearing Starla gasp at the sight, Rarity engulfed her hoof into her mouth, energetically swirling her tongue and sucking noisily to withdraw the girl's taste before pulling her hoof away with an audible pop.
Starla was felt desperate for air at this point. Like a fish caught on land, gasping for air.
She felt impossibly cold. She needed a touch. Rarity's touch. Her silent wish was granted when they embraced again, mouth to mouth, tongue against tongue, hoof to loins. Starla moaned lewdly and loudly into Rarity's mouth and began gyrating her hips against the mare's expert ministrations. She let out a shuddering, muffled exhale.
Rarity broke the kiss and breathed heavily. "Are you almost there, darling?" She asked in a teasing tone of voice, pausing her hoof's movements but keeping it pressed against Starla's soaking heat.
The other unicorn desperately shook her head. "N-no..." She panted out her bold-faced lie. But in reality Starla's stomach felt so tight it was like she was on the constant verge of exploding. She had only touched herself a few times before, but had never reached a peak this high by herself. Never felt like she would fall from the sky like a shooting star and burn in the atmosphere.
Rarity pouted and purred as though she had been challenged. "Really, now? That just won't do."
As Rarity leaned toward her once again, Starla found herself meeting her halfway, parting her lips to receive the other unicorn's tongue in her mouth.
If it weren't for the firm grasp around her horn, she would be able to press deeper into the kiss. Starla groaned in frustration, earning a vindictive chuckle from the other mare and felt her lips curve up into a smile. Rarity knew that Starla wanted more and purposely drew farther and farther away out of her reach until they broke their kiss yet again. This time she took her hoof away as well.
Starla groaned as Rarity poked her tongue out to slowly and tortuously lick those full luscious lips of hers, mixing both of their saliva to draw into her mouth and swallowed it as though it was a sweet honey.
"Pl...please, Miss Rarity...could I...could I have some more...?" Starla begged as her foggy mind burned without that sensation against her lips and her tongue. Without realizing it her hips slowly humped the air, grinding desperately to coax the other pony for relief.
"You want more? Hmmmm..." Rarity put on a coy smile and pretended to give it some thought. She leaned closer but unfortunately remained just out of Starla's reach, dragging her wet hoof down the center of the girl's barrel, along her chest and stomach stopping just above the waist. "How about a deal, then. I'll give you what you want if you do the same for me. If you tell me everything that brought you into my web"
"Y-yes...please..." Starla begged. Her mind was hazy and her body was screaming for release. It was a maddening, burning need of a salve in the form of the other unicorn's gentle touches. She was elated at the mere hope that she could get what she so desperately desired. "...I'll do anything!"
"Mmmm." Rarity smiled more affectionately as she viewed the girl's response with approval. "If you ask so cutely like that, how can I resist?" The mare quickly leaned in and pecked Starla lightly on the cheek before quickly moving her head lower and lower to her hindquarters, leaving a trail of soft kisses along the way, darting her tongue out to taste the wetness left along Starla's coat by her hoof just a moment ago.
Starla's lip quivered and she closed her eyes, caught in frantic anticipation as she felt Rarity's light kisses go lower and lower, nearer and nearer to the source of madness that kept her locked in terrible pleasure. She gulped until finally her jailer reached her destination.
Taking immediately to task, Rarity found her prisoner's nub and nipped at it, causing Starla to let out shrieks of passion. She then wrapped her lips around it and sucked and flicked her tongue with relentless force until finally, miraculously, gloriously announced with a loud and shrill scream, Starla's body quaked and quivered, then gushed and covered the floor in a small pool of her clear juices.
Rarity slurped at the dripping wetness that had drenched her face and mane, wearing it proudly as a sign of her unquestionable skill. Such a victory called for a celebration as well as a reward. "Finish me off, my love." Rarity asked in a husky manner. Looking back over her shoulder, she exchanged a series of open-mouthed but tongueless kisses as her husband's pace began to speed up. He let go of Starla's horn to grasp his wife's hips with both hands, dropping the other unicorn to the floor onto her haunches as she tiredly slid down the wall.
Rarity gasped and broke their kissing and lowered herself to allow Spike a better angle to thrust down into her. With her ass pointed upward, the pony was continually pushed forward from each and every thrust and heavy piston until she was pressing her head onto Starla's stomach.
Starla watched in silence, feeling the matted mane of her teacher grind against her body, her cheek squished and tongue hanging out the side of her mouth. Every part of her ached from exhaustion. As Rarity began to scream wildly from every heavy thrust while still on top of her, Starla fell into unconsciousness.

Dirty Sexy Pony: Anniversary
Chapter 2
Starla was finding it hard to focus on Rarity's lecture on trusting one's own designer's instinct rather than following a client's exact specifications. The student only half-paid attention to her teacher's story about making dresses for herself and her friends for a Grand Galloping Gala a few years ago, and instead kept trying to understand the fact that she was in class right now, and not wallowing alone in a dungeon shackled to the floor.
A patroling guard had woken her up that morning, and confused and sleepy, Starla found herself wrapped snugly in a blanket outside on the Canterlot lawn just outside of the palace gates, close to the Wonderbolt parade grounds. It took a bit of talking but somehow she was able to persuade the guard that she had fallen asleep watching the stars. To her surprise he accepted her excuse that the black uniform and mask were meant to keep her warm, along with the blanket (which hid the rips and stains from last night). After being escorted home, just across the street to her uncle's house, Starla hadn't even made it to her bed and fell asleep on the couch in the living room. Hours later she woke up, and only had enough time to shower, eat a small dinner then leave for class.
When she arrived at the makeshift classroom inside the Cute Boutique, Starla chatted with her classmates, learned about the cute stallions and off-duty guards they had met at Jubilee's dad's donut shop and then class begun when Rarity arrived.
The blue-eyed mare entered as she usually did: loudly and cheerfully. She quickly greeted each of her students before jumping right into her lecture so they could begin work on a quick exercise then continue on their final projects.
It was as though none of last night had happened.
Rarity finished her retrospectively hilarious tale then assigned the night's exercise: sleepwear meant for "special" occasions. The other girls tittered at the surprising theme and made their catcalls at the smugly glowing teacher about yesterday's "early dismissal." Remaining quiet Starla touched her hoof against her lips, remembering the feel of her first kiss. It was pretty easy to decide that it was an awful, terrible experience. Especially compared to the fanciful tale that Rarity started to boast about, something akin to her husband spontanesously surprising her with a romantic dinner at home and then, "Well, you know how a young couple is." She teasingly ended the story as the silks, fabrics and lace were distributed for the exercise.
As Jubilee, Collette and Florence continued to badger their teacher for the dirty details, Starla hurried over to the distribution table to collect her materials and returned to her work area. Her hooves worked out a concept sketch and plotted out the measurements and shapes for their assignment, all without the direct control of her mind. It was as though there were two of her at the moment; Starla Shine the studious fashion designer-to-be, focused on the current task, and Starla Shine the daughter of the relatively known Baltimare private-eye Snapshot, blackmailed for her father's actions (whatever it was he did this time) to break into her teacher's home and report what she found to quite possibly the biggest bitch in Canterlot, Glamorous.
That part of Starla was still trapped in the memories of last night. Still unsure what it was that happened to her when she came across the dark secret of her teacher...quite literally and figuratively. Starla was certain that she would have been kept locked up in that dungeon basement forever, doing who knows what for her teacher's husband and his massive...girth...
The unicorn shivered at the memory of her teacher's pleasured screams and moans. The chill of her cold eyes when she demanded her identity. The casual tone of her threats. There was something that possessed Starla to want more, and a second chill ran up her spine against her attempts to deny it.
Pausing her stitch work, she watched her teacher reprimand Collette for making yet another hat despite the theme of their assignment. After all was said and done, and everypony put the leftover materials and waste in their proper places, Rarity moved in a confident saunter to the front of the room. "Now that's it for today's class. I'll see all of you tomorrow. And for those of you I've already talked to, please stay after class."
Starla gulped from hearing this. During her touch up on her gown, Rarity had managed to sneak up on Starla and whispered such a thing to her before moving smoothly over to Jubilee's station. The unicorn trembled at Rarity's audacity to ask her to do such a thing as stay after class with her rapist. But then again, Starla was just the stupid girl to do such a thing, considering how she did not go straight to the Canterlot guard this morning and tell him what had happened, or even more desperately, gone over to report her findings to Glamorous.
If a pony like Glamorous had connections with the types of thugs her dad always seemed to get in the way of, she was sure to be able to take on the purple-maned devil in fashionable clothing currently standing before her.
Starla watched with growing anxiety as the other students began to leave, but was surprised to see one of her classmates stay behind with her. 'Is she also?' Her mind immediately jumped to that conclusion when she heard,
"Thanks, Rarity. I promise to get the assignment done when I get back."
"Not a problem, dear. Just have yourself a good time in Neighagra Falls with your family. I've heard it's beautiful this time of year."
"Really? That's great to hear. Anyways. I'll see you next week, Rarity. You too, Starla. Thanks again, Rarity." Then after a polite hug between the two ponies, Florence left.
Once the door closed Starla realized she was now left alone in the room with Rarity. The same Rarity who was humming the same happy tune now as she did last night while pinning her against a wall, making her cum against her will.
Before she could move Rarity turned toward Starla and smiled. "Hello, dear. I know you're not having any problems with class or at work...I'm so sorry, for the life of me I can't seem to remember. What was it I wanted to talk with you about, again?"
She knew. If it wasn't already obvious that she knew from her request to stay after class the entertained smirk on the old mare's face made it quite so now.
Starla gulped at the thought as she came under her teacher's intimidating gaze.
"Hrmm. Are you getting tongue tied?" Rarity walked over to her and leaned in close, practically touching her nose to hers, with eyes half-lidded.
"Um...uh..." Failing to think of anything safe to say, Starla resigned herself to silently shake her head.
Rarity chuckled and made a mischievous smile, leaning back once more to give Starla some breathing space. "Trust me, darling, no matter how you answered I'd have managed to make it sound sexual one way or another. Now, since I scratched your 'itch' last night, miss burglar, tell me what I want to know." Saying this in a low, husky manner, Rarity added a wink that sent caused Starla a shiver.
Most frightening however, was not knowing whether it was an enjoyable one or not...

Walking down the chic hall of the modeling agency the next day, Starla was brought before two large oak doors.
Located in the upper district of north Canterlot, the office of the Glamorous Models Agency was resplendent in plush reds and other vibrant hues, as well as blues and similar cool shades. From the couches to the drapes to the lamps to the gold embroidered carpet laid atop the deeply brown wooden floors Starla could only feel that the sole purpose of the decor was a contemptuous effort to rise an awe in ponies who did not live in such surroundings on a daily basis.
It took several minutes of walking down a single, winding hall, but finally the secretary that had been leading the way, a blue-coated blond-maned earthpony stallion wearing a pair of half-moon glasses opened the heavy looking doors with a push of his hoof and Starla was ushered into a large office.
The office was no less grand in style than the hallways and chandelier-containing foyer at the front entrance, but the fancy nature was simply contained in one room. Large bay windows on the east and north facing walls opened up to a view of Canterlot outstretched below. While nowhere near the height of the royal castle built into the side of the mountain nearby nor was it the tallest in the city, the office building was a good story taller than most of the stone constructions in all of Canterlot simply as a result of its being built on a hilly slope.
From behind a table, the blue pony ever dressed in a fabulously loud manner of ruffled everything trotted over to Starla and kissed her much to her surprise both cheeks. Exchanging a silent glance, the stallion closed the office door behind him, leaving the two mares alone.
"Starla! Great to see you again, kid. I got from last time how straight to the point you are, so, did you find something about them I can exploit?"
While skipping the pleasantries, Starla could still sense the "better-than-you" playfulness in Glam's tone and behavior. The same kind that innocently expected an apology from somepony else for an accidental run-in even if she was the one not looking where she was going.
Remembering her role Starla simply replied, "N-not exactly..." The uncertainty unhidden as she looked down for a moment.
Glam's eyebrows furrowed upon hearing Starla's insecure answer. "What's that supposed to mean?" She took a step back, wary but retaining her playful grin to tell herself that she was still in control despite the slight confusion. "If you have second thoughts about our deal, love, allow me to tell you about a new photograph of your father that just came in this afternoon. You know, proof of life, and all?"
Walking to behind her desk, Glam magically floated a large manila-colored envelope from one of the drawers then slid it across the table to Starla. "Unless you're here to tell me that you didn't find anything at all. Which would be a problem since that'd be lying; nopony lives in Canterlot for long without having a dark secret or two."
Starla gulped when she heard that truism and hoping not to be noticed she subtly adjusted her stance where she stood and nodded modestly. "No, I found something. But after some thought...I decided that I won't tell you."
Glam blinked and smiled with a deeper furrowing of her eyebrows, letting out an awkward laugh. "Could you explain your change of heart to me because I can't seem to understand. Don't you care for your father? Don't you want to save him before something...unfortunate, happens to him?"
"Um..." Her heart beginning to race, Starla pressed her tongue against the back of her teeth, holding back her response much to Glam's annoyance.
With the softest of growls, the blue pony walked back toward the young mare, holding the manila envelope in her telekinetic grip nearby. "I've seen the pictures, kid. They're not pretty. You're lucky that I've been so nice and made sure he stayed alive this long even though you're a day late. I'll give you a spoiler and tell you that you'd be lucky to get your dad's right hoof back if you don't tell me Rarity's secret right now!" She brought herself close enough to count the number of the girl's eyelashes and pressed the envelope against the side of Starla's head with a light touch.
"That won't be necessary. I can tell you myself, if you want." Turning toward the sound of the closing office doors, both Glam and Starla watched as Rarity walked into the office with a posh green-colored saddlebag resting on her back. "Just FYI, those pictures of yours are out of date as of this morning, Glam. Much like that tacky headband of yours, yuck."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Glam spat out irritably toward the interloper, instinctively touching her hoof against her ruffled accessory to adjust it before standing on all fours once more. "And how did you get past Sabel?"
"Oh please, Glam, your secretary may be a cunning linguist but he also has a glass jaw. "
"You bitch."
"Hmm. That's a compliment coming from a pony whose mind is as complex as the plot of a Daring Do novel."
"Tch. I don't have to take any comments from a dragon fucker!"
Seeing Glam's horn glow, Rarity rolled her eyes and just held back the need to yawn. "Spike, hold her down, please." She said flatly as she walked away to the side toward Starla.
Suddenly crashing through the office doors Spike charged in with a single bound and in great speed grabbed Glam's horn before she could react. The instant his claws grasped her horn, she seemed to lose feeling in her legs and she crumpled to the floor.
Unsurprised by all of this, Rarity used her telekinesis to float her bag off of herself. "Starla hold this for a moment, please." She said, looping her bag around her student's shoulders and onto her back then walked over to the now-restrained pony.
Unable to escape his hold, Glam thrashed and kicked with her legs but to no avail as Spike kept her pinned down to the floor on her side while holding onto her horn all the while. Hearing Rarity's hoofsteps approach, Glam tried to bring her heavy breathing under control from her earlier effort, screaming out, "Y-you and your pet dragon d-d-don't scare me!"
"Well you should be, Glam." The other unicorn smiled, finding her former classmate's behavior cute. "Now, I understand your attempt to get a hold of my dirty little secrets, Glam. I really do. They say that 'knowledge is power,' after all. But that's a two way street. For example..." Rarity leaned in and began to whisper into Glam's ear.
Glam's eyes grew wide and she shook her head, her ears twitching as though the words Rarity had just spoken was responsible for the sudden, uncomfortable itch she felt, and she gulped. "How...how did you know!?"
"Well, let's see." Rarity began when she stood up straight, eyes rolling to the top-right corner and acted as though she had to think about it. "Pirouette is one of my regular clients. The two of us go to the spa together every so often and you'd be surprised how gabby she gets after several glasses of wine and a few hours in the sauna." Rarity then let out a chipper-sounding sigh and shrugged her shoulders, looking back to Glam lying on the floor. "In any case, I don't know how she came to know exactly but really, she's the last pony to complain about her husband having a mistress, considering the whole line of suitors she meets whenever she goes on one of her 'vacations.'"
Glam's mouth dried up upon hearing this. She thought she was being careful, timing her visits whenever Piroutte was out of town. She paid off the maids and butlers and intimidated those who couldn't be bought. If any of what Rarity was saying was true, then...with increasing difficulty, she did her best to gulp. But then it struck her. Glam smiled, remembering that the thought of anypony threatening her was nothing short of stupid for a well known socialite like Rarity, who was risking her reputation by pulling off this stunt with her dragon pet.
She smiled wider and let out a laugh, half-confident, surprising even Rarity with the suddenness of it all. "Nice try, Rarity. Nice try." As soon as she revealed Rarity's stupidity, Glam thought happily to herself, she would pull all of her strings and cash in all of her owed favors to openly run the violet-maned bitch standing proudly above her out of town rather than continue the careful subterfuge she originally planned. The Trotfrees, the Gallants, the Dressages, the Uppercrusts, every family and noblepony in Canterlot would be turned against Rarity or suffer a similar or worse fate than what she had planned against the smug bitch who dared to waltz into Canterlot from nowheresvile and cut into everypony's profits. At this point, she decided, not even Fancy Pants would be safe if she could help it for supporting Rarity's move to Canterlot in the first place.
"If you do anything more than this, you realize that you'd essentially be spitting into Windfall's face. You wouldn't want me to assert that you were one of Geyser's war assets this whole time, would you?"
'Windfall?' Unable to completely follow the tension-filled talk between the mares before her, Starla's attention was heightened when Glamorous mentioned the name of the Canterlot licensing committee chairpony. The top authority of fashion in the center of Equestria's fashion world. As for a war, Starla didn't understand what Glam meant by that. The closest she could think of was a memory when he, before promising he would retire from private investigation when she started sending money back home, had made mention to her as he always did about finding links between the Baltimare gangs and Canterlot, but when she pressed him on the issue admitted that he never got any substantial or solid leads. She didn't take the claim all too seriously anyway, brushing it off as part of her old stallion's ongoing attempt to bring back his glory days when he was involved in the big break ups of the major Los Pegasus, Baltimare and Manehattan crime families.
The name Geyser, however, didn't sound at all familiar, which was surprising to say the least. Unable to remember everything from her father's files when she helped at his office during his heyday, Starla couldn't be sure if it was some sort of nom de guerre or simply a new family that emerged since she left her home town to pursue her failed modeling dream. If anything, what was truly disheartening at the moment was to see her teacher looking just as bit as intimidating as the criminal mugshots of the ponies in her father's criminal files. It only painted a darker portrait on top of the domineering mistress that had her way with her just the other night. Starla gulped at the memory and brought her tail close to herself to hide the growing inappropriate wetness.
"It seems you aren't completely out of touch with the rumor mill, hmmm?" Rarity sent Glam a grave smile and it remained as the look in the designer's eyes turned chilly and apathetic. "Well that blowhard Windfall can send an army if he wants. But here's something you haven't known. One of my dark secrets that you've been oh-so-eager to learn: I've already worked with Geyser Cozy on a number of occasions.
"However, I've never had any inclination of joining the little turf war Windfall's been having the past number of years until this stunt you pulled using my student. But again I don't blame you. Your only mistake was getting caught."
Eager to snap back at hearing her lover's name belittled, Glam froze when Rarity told her that unexpected bit of news. "You worked...with Geyser Cozy?" She was breathless and her body felt so cold that it was numb now, no longer trembling in either fear or anger. "But...no one's supposed to know who's worked with him..." Without her wanting to, Glam's trembling resumed, earning a darker look from the other unicorn that only fed into her anxieties. "You're lying...right? You're just trying to fuck with my head. Wh-why are you telling me all this now?"
A happy hum escaped from Rarity's lips as she leaned close to the terrified mare, stricken with fear that made her feel drenched at the sight. The purple-maned mare licked her lips hungrily and practically moaned out, "Because I know you won't be able to tell anypony else. Spike?"
She felt him adjust his grip on her upon hearing his name and from that minimal sign, Glam's survival instincts kicked in. "Wait! No! You can't-AAAH!" Lifted off the ground by her horn, Glam choked out a gasp as the dragon held her tightly by her neck with his other hand. She pulled weakly against the hand with her forehooves, flailing with her hindlegs in desperation as her body dangled side-to-side like a pinata from her useless struggling. "Windfall...will...urk...find out! " Her voice managed to escape from her mouth between restricted, gurgled breaths.
Ignoring Glam's warning Rarity addressed her dear husband in a low, almost sensual tone. "Don't bother taking any more of her magic right now. Just ruin her."
"Ru...in...me...?" Glam shivered from hearing that cruel command and the dragon's low growl in response from behind her. She sharply inhaled when she felt warm flesh suddenly slap upwards against her between her hind legs, touching the inside of her thighs. In futility the blue unicorn squirmed and writhed as she felt the smooth, throbbing surface of the thing drag against her until only the tip was poking at her nethers. She tried to protest in a terrified whisper, but the shock of pain interfered with her thoughts. "Y-you...wouldn't dar -AAAAAAGHH !" Glamorous screamed out in a throaty wail as she was pierced while still dry, stretched beyond what she imagined was possible for a pony. "AAAAAGH!"
Tears streamed down her face as her body bucked from the unfathomable pain. She clenched her eyes shut and shook and gasped and cried from the pain. "AAAAAAAGHHHHHH!" Glam gasped out, being forcibly bounced up and down feeling nothing but scourging fire in her loins.
With a skip in her step, Rarity ignored all of this, returning to Starla who stood there, frozen in terror watching the horrible scene. "Starla, my bag, please." She asked in an innocent tone.
With wide eyes, the younger mare continued to look off into the distance and Rarity pouted. "Ahem! Starla? Starla!" Tapping her hoof against the other mare's shoulder, Starla jumped in surprise and realized that Rarity was standing before her.
"Y-yes?"
Rarity sighed. "Don't be so jumpy, dear. All that stress will give you wrinkles and frown lines." She combed back a stray lock of mane from Starla's face as she said that, wondering how the girl would look with a hair clip or even with a braided style.
"Why...why are you doing all of this?" Starla asked, disbelief and fear obvious on her face.
"What do you mean, why? To teach her a lesson, of course. Karma can be quite the terrible teacher" Seeing the look of disbelief on Starla's face remain, Rarity's face turned softer. "Really now, it's just as I said before. You can't honestly expect me to just stand back and do nothing while my favorite student is in trouble."
Starla blushed, rationalizing it as her body's reaction and looked away, hoping not to let herself catch a glimpse of Glam's current fate as she did so.
"Oh, just like that." Rarity said approvingly. "You look so much better when you smile, darling!" To Starla's surprise, Rarity leaned in and pecked her on the cheek and she brought her hoof to touch the spot, looking back to her teacher in confusion. "Now, it's going to be a while until Spike is done and even though it isn't proper for a lady to be impatient, I'm absolutely famished." She lifted the saddlebags she had placed on Starla with her magic and placed it on the floor between them.
Opening the flap Rarity revealed a basket from which she took out a plate and accompanying triangle-shaped sandwich, floating the portion with the plate under it to catch any crumbs toward her mouth, with a napkin also taken from the basket floating at the ready. Just an inch away from her mouth though, she nearly dropped the sandwich when Glam screamed nearby.
"PLEASE!" She shrieked out in pain as snot and mucus mixed together with her tears and slobber. The hand around her throat was looser, adjusted to less of a tight grip in order to focus on pumping her body up and down. "SOMEPONY HELB ME! I'B SOWWY, WAWITY! I'B SAH-HA-HA-WWY! JUST PWEASE...LEMME G-OMMMMH !" Before she could finish, the clawed hand from around her horn clamped over the pony's mouth and only muffled pleas could be heard from then on.
"Ah." Rarity sighed in relief. "Well now, that's surprising. Didn't even have to ask. Hm." She shrugged. "Thank you, love~!" She said without looking over to her husband and focused once more on Starla. "I swear, I'm the luckiest mare in the world." Rarity fluttered her eyes and gave a gleeful smile after taking a bite. "Mmm!" She squealed with the utmost happiness as her taste buds enjoyed themselves and she made quick, small chews before swallowing her dear Spike's always delicious cuisine. After dabbing the napkin on either side of her mouth she presented the basket toward Starla using her blue-hued magic. "Sandwich?"

Chapter 3
The news of Glam's disappearance spread throughout Canterlot like wildfire. And soon enough, a sea of vicious, unsubstantiated rumors that ranged from the mare's sudden unannounced retirement to her untimely secret death became the topic du jour.
Over the course of the past two weeks since Glam's kidnapping, Starla was "invited" to stay at Rarity's home. In fact there hadn't been a moment that she left the mare's side, which surprisingly wasn't noticed by her classmates. In a sense she was hired as Rarity's only full time employee, working everyday at the boutique while still attending class. The pay made all of Starla's part-time jobs unnecessary and food had ceased to be a problem thanks to her hosts' cooking. She had been staying for free at her uncle's in the first place, leaving Starla with ample time at her teacher's home while Spike disappeared to the sound proofed cellar below for long periods of time everyday.
In all that time since that fateful confrontation, Starla hadn't seen Glam. Not since she was carried down into the dark abyss of the cellar. Starla had no idea what had become of the stuck up, blackmailing bitch of a mare who became a drooling, sobbing mess in the middle of her private office in the Glamorous Modeling Agency building. Every so often Starla, while tending to her final project in Rarity's workspace in her living room, spotted food being brought through the secret panel in the wall by one or the other of the husband-wife pair. There were no windows last Starla remembered (not like she would be willing to go downstairs and check) so she could only imagine what the sort of conditions were.
Then, in the darkness of one moonless night, Rarity took Glamorous out of her dungeon and out of the house, leaving Starla alone with the ever-stoic Spike. The next day when she came down to the main floor from the guest room Starla discovered that the secret wall panel was left open and unlike the enumerable other times the insulation of the sound-proofed space was broken to bring down food or for either Spike or Rarity to do whatever unspeakable task, Starla didn't hear any sort of noise coming from below.
Before there was always some sort of muffled plea or barely audible movement. While Spike sat on the red couch in the living room after making breakfast that morning, Starla unwillingly wondered about the meaning of such an event. That the cellar was now empty of its guest while she was still required to stay at the house under watchful eye.
It had been hours since hoofsteps woke her up and yet Starla still cautiously navigated the house and resigned herself to eating a simple bowl of oats and grain with freshly hand-squeezed orange juice. It was after the dragon quietly took and cleaned the dishes that the two of them had found themselves in the living room. All of this done before the sun had yet to be raised.
The time spent in Rarity and her husband's home hammered in the dragon's stoic nature for Starla. Seeing him mostly responding in a single word or a phrase like "yes dear," Starla had begun to view Spike with a sunken heart. The lifeless, stiff way he went about his chores and portions of the day watching over her while Rarity was downstairs in the cellar was eye-opening.
Any signs of the sheer ferocious beast who brought Glam to her knees and crying pitifully weeks ago was all but missing whenever Starla saw the large purple dragon wearing a frilly pink apron or carrying baking trays of cookies or nuzzling cutely with his unicorn wife. But Starla could never forget the predatory look of his eyes from that day, when he grasped Glam's horn like he did her own just a few nights prior; causing her knees to buckle and a feeling of fire that spread through her body and turned her thoughts to mush. Starla couldn't help but wonder if Glam had felt the same way she did that night, with a mind empty of everything but the need to rid of herself the growing tension of lust; the feeling of exploding when she finally did so.
Finding herself wandering close to Spike, who was sitting silently on the couch motionlessly with clawed hands folded on his lap while in wait for his wife to return. Close enough to look deep into his crystal-like green eyes, staring ahead and not taking any interest in the pony right in front of him, remained trained at some unknown object. Or more likely not even on a particular thing but in just that direction, out of the dragon's focus until it's brought to his attention by Rarity.

"What are all those lights in the sky?"
Starla frowned, choosing not to keep up her sweet act as she normally would back in town. The sole reason the filly started to go out to this spot was to calm herself in order to not snap at anypony from the stress of her grieving. No matter how sad she felt, there was nothing that could compare to whatever her dad was going through, and she thought it would be unfair to lash out when he could be so strong to keep moving forward whenever in public, or even when only she was present with him, despite the pain. But in the privacy of her spot on the hill, the then-filly wasn't as forgiving as she would have been to the colt sitting next to her if he'd asked her this with anypony else watching.
"What, you mean the stars? You should have learned that in school already, dummy. They were made by Princess Luna a long long time ago to let us ponies not feel as scared of the night, duh!"
Rather than freeze in shock from her harsh tone, the colt countered, "I know that, geez! I mean, what exactly are stars? Like, how does Princess Luna make 'em?"
"Hmmm..." Starla pursed her lips in thought, becoming enchanted by the sparkle of the candle-like lights that dotted the sky.
"Because my big brother told me that they're fillies and colts that were victims of Nightmare Moon for not giving her enough treats on Nightmare Night!"
"Well, Clydesdale, your brother is a dingbat for telling you such a mean lie. And you're gullible because you believe him." Starla huffed with a squeaky touch in her voice. "Besides, Princess Luna stopped being Nightmare Moon for a while, already. They're not the same pony."
"That's not what you said just last year, Starla! You were as scared as the rest of us when she came to visit on Nightmare Night!"
"Buh...!?" She sputtered, both surprised and irritated simultaneously for being called out on that embarrassing memory. "F-fine, that used to be true, but now I know better because my mom told me..." Starla had been in such a rush to explain herself, that she realized just then that she hadn't even spoken about her mother since she had died and the filly stopped mid-sentence, her voice trailing off until only an uncomfortable silence remained between the two little ponies.
Clydesdale looked at the older unicorn as she cast her gaze downward to the ground rather than at the starry night like she was supposed to. "Sorry."
"No...it's alright." She lied in her harsh, defensive tone.
Sensing the intent hidden within her reaction, Clydesdale looked upwards again. "Um...what do you think stars are made of?"
"I don't know..." He heard her say in a low voice, making him in turn begin to feel as depressed as she sounded, however she continued, "...my...mom told me that, when she told me that Princess Luna wasn't Nightmare Moon anymore, that the stars are just like the sun that Princess Celestia raises up every day."
"What? How's that possible? The stars are so tiny but the sun's way bigger!"
"They're all like tiny suns, but spread out across the sky. But my mom never exactly told me what the sun was made of...but if I had to guess, they gotta be the same because looking at them all at once makes you happy like how you feel while seeing the sun during the day, right? But in order to let us ponies sleep, they're spread out like a blanket so their light isn't as harsh and strong like the sun's. It makes me kinda sad to think that ponies didn't stop to enjoy looking at them all before going to sleep all those years ago..."
The small earth pony looked up as Starla did, inspecting what looked like a thick band of stars across a single strip of the sky. Each and every light twinkled at a different pace, some bigger in size than others. Some white, others blue and there were even a few that gave the slightest impression of red twinkling. Despite the chilly night air, he suddenly felt much warmer after looking at the starry blanket. He couldn't help but smile. "Yeah...what you said makes a lot of sense. Thanks for clearing that up, Starla!"
"Really?" Starla glanced over at the colt with wide eyes. Her dad had only laughed when she tried to explain what she thought about the stars. The colt next to her bobbed his head affirmatively, which was slightly bigger than the rest of his body.
"N-no problem!" Starla said, feeling more encouraged just as Clydesdale gave an involuntary yawn. Seeing this, she let out a happily squeaky chuckle which was soon joined by the colt's higher pitched laughter.

Chapter 4
Strange. It was all so strange.
After completing her affairs concerning Glamorous, Rarity returned to find her home recently tended to. Nothing broken. Not a stain of any kind to be found. The living room was especially clean, the pillow and fabric of her favorite red couch taken care of and the wooden legs and raised back varnished and lacquered. The large antique vase that was once set on the nearby rounded side table was replaced with a smaller flower pot that held a half dozen orange and red flowers; Gerbera plants that were obviously taken from the ones planted outside of the house.
Overpowering the fragrance of the flowers, the smells of grilled pumpkin and a sort of sauté--a woody, smoky scent--wild oats, perhaps? Rarity wasn't entirely sure. Quick footsteps arrived from the kitchen and Starla appeared before her. Frazzled and haggard, but not at all in the condition Rarity expected the young mare to be in when she returned that evening after a long day of "supervising."
"What's the meaning of this?" The unicorn hissed, touching the fire ruby hanging off of her neck to assure herself. "Explain!"
"I'm...I'm just making dinner..." Starla said with a quick glance to the floor to avoid eye contact with the other mare.
"Bullshit." Rarity scoffed, scowling at the sight of Starla wearing an apron with her mane tied back in a ponytail. Suddenly pushing her way through, Rarity nearly fainted when she saw her husband sitting at the dinner table, looking bored while moping his chin onto hand which was propped up. "S-spike?!"
Looking over to the two ponies, the unenthused dragon took a moment to yawn before replying, his tail lazily sliding back and forth on the floor behind him. "Spike was hungry..." he growled out, "...Rarity late from work..."
The thought that it was her husband that usually cooked did not even register in her mind. Rarity grew nervous and began to stammer with embarrassment flushing her face a deep red. "Is...is that so? I'm ever so sorry, dear. I-I lost track of time, you see."
Spike replied with a grunt and returned his attention back to the stove-top, staring with bored fixation at the pans and the food cooking atop them. "We eat when Starla done." Hearing this the unicorn in question rushed back to her job preparing dinner, telekinetically moving utensils and plates to stir and remove the food from the heat onto the proper serving dishes to let it rest and ready to serve on the counter top.
With wide eyes and a quivering smile Rarity was unconcerned with the whys or hows and felt only an excitement from deep within her that made her knees weak and her nethers moisten. Her tail flicked from side to side, unconsciously trying to fan the sign of her arousal into the air. "...of course, love. Whatever you say."

The young mare hurried downstairs to where Rarity was impatiently tapping her hoof against the wooden floor, waiting in the foyer. Adorned in the black and white frilled uniform plainly recognizable as to her status, Starla stood at perfect attention when she reached the bottom of the stairs and waited for Rarity to speak.
If she was going to play the role of domestic help Rarity was damn sure that the girl would look the part. Her plans for Starla were changed because of reasons beyond her control, and so as a pragmatic businessmare Rarity was able to make the best of the situation.
The semester was finished and grades had already been disbursed. The rest of Starla's peers had gone on to work full time in other boutiques or to start their own business, haven earned their licenses and gained not only experience but a notable reputation for being Rarity's students. Starla herself, because she had earned a license as well--a surprising turnaround from the earlier obstacles that stood in her way from earlier on in the year--was now helping at Cute Boutique in both sales and preparing for the next batch of students in the coming semester.
"I'll be busy until late this evening." Rarity spoke in a cold tone to her undesired help. "You'll do the shopping and tend to Spike's needs until I come home. I want you to close the boutique at five today so you can make it in time to the markets."
"Of course, mistress." Starla said without a hint of hesitation or embarrassment, bowing her head and making a curtsy with a bend of her legs. Rarity did her best to fight the swell of pride from hearing the girl acknowledge her place in her household and left without saying any further. Like clockwork the door took on Starla's shade of blue magic to open and Rarity strode away down the street toward Canterlot's fashion district.
A number of things had arisen over the past few weeks that prevented Rarity from dealing with the day-to-day responsibilities of her shop. And while she didn't feel it necessary to have Starla's help to run the business which lessened the stress of tending to so many responsibilities, if that was what Spike wanted, well...Rarity was the last pony in Equestria that wanted to get on his bad side. She shuddered with a thrill that caused goosebumps when she thought about what sort of trouble she'd get into.
She caught herself as she was let herself into an unmarked, two story building. After walking down the hallway that was kept alight by high windows that let the light in during the day, she arrived at a door that was flanked on both sides by heavily armored stallions. Both unicorns, one would be hard pressed to find anypony as well equipped as the two that began escorting her to the next set of doors down another hallway outside of the Royal Guard.
In another sense nopony was quite as well "equipped" as her husband was. Rarity chuckled to herself in a giddy but hushed fashion, unable to contain her excitement as the two guard ponies opened this next door with their magic, letting Rarity into a windowless room where two other ponies sat at a table.
The table was situated on a raised platform at the far end of the room to the left of a podium and a sea of twenty or so older ponies crammed together, mostly stallions but a few mares could be spotted, were keen to remain chatting amongst themselves on the lower floor until the doors alerted them to her arrival.
Ignoring their stares and hushed whispers Rarity continued down the red carpet laid in the center of the room that ended at the edge of the platform and she stopped just in time for a gavel to slam and echo against the podium which brought the room to silence.
Instantly smiling to the unicorn who had control of the gavel, Rarity felt her hidden anxiety dissipate by the return of her sentiment by her sole friend and ally in Canterlot (aside from her husband), Fancy Pants. The unicorn stallion sitting next to him received no such warm greeting from her. There was no love lost since he returned the meager acknowledgement of her existence with a dismissive look of his own as he approached the podium, earning the attention of the gallery who had approached the stage, filling up the empty space all around her on the floor.
The third and fourth seats at the table remained empty. While it was well known that Windfall was out of town on 'vacation', Rarity smiled privately at unexplained absence of the fourth member, especially since the overlapping murmurs of the ponies around her discussed the varying rumors about that very thing.
Before speaking, the doe-eyed, gray-maned unicorn stallion at the podium tapped at the microphone to check if it was on. He then cleared his throat, and despite the color of his mane said in a youthful voice, "Before we begin I'd like to first say how grateful I am for all of your words of support and well wishes. However, I feel that it is important to deal with the unfounded rumors that have been spreading around once and for all. You see, my wife Glamorous has been undergoing much undue stress as of late and so now that she's back in good hooves after her sudden disappearance, she can focus on recuperation and hopefully come back to working with us in fashion, where her presence is dearly missed."
The gallery politely clacked their hooves against the floor in applause while quietly talking amongst themselves of their doubts and less-than-kind things to say about the announcement of the model agency head's current state.
"Let us bring this meeting to order, shall we?" The gray-maned stallion announced in a stately manner as he gave way for Fancy Pants to take his place at the podium to slam the gavel twice more.
"Why I do believe so, Honeybuzz, my boy!" With a simple nod the mustached unicorn gave a hearty chuckle that immediately lightened the heavy atmosphere of the room with little effort. "That leads to our most immediately pressing issue, which is the current vacancy on this council as a result of our friend Glamorous' leave of absence."
To this the crowd's whispering grew loud and raucous, requiring Fancy Pants to hit the gavel in three light pats to regain everypony's attention and train their eyes away from his purple-maned friend within the crowd back to himself. "Well, I won't hide the fact of who my nominee is." He announced with a broad smile and glimmer in his eyes.
The stallions and mares laughed in their sycophantic way, making Rarity roll her eyes and sigh despite knowing full well Fancy Pants' intent with his joke...

With the meeting adjourned, the throngs of ponies had mostly left to attend to their respective responsibilities leaving only a small group of stallions and mares in the quasi-secret room. Which was all the same since the vast majority of the gallery never had any real participation in the certification board except to be seen by everypony else or voice their grievances on whatever issue they had. Such sorts of administration was so far below the purview of the royal court that it was one of the few chances the nobility had to feel truly empowered and influential outside of governing a city or town.
There was really only so much the elite of Equestria had to do to pass the time and make themselves useful in such a peaceful territory as theirs.
Beyond accepting recognition to temporarily chair alongside Fancy Pants and Honeybuzz on the board or having them as customers at her boutique, Rarity would rather have as little to do as possible with the lavishly bored and disconnected idle-hoofed that populated the capital city. There was a time when she would want nothing more than to join their ranks, but finding true meaning in her passion for both clothing and her husband had a way of enlightening and protecting her mindset when she and Spike eventually moved to Canterlot.
She of course appreciated all the support that she got from the few friends she had in the capital, most especially ponies like Fancy Pants and the princesses themselves that could understand beyond their privileged station that there was more to life than being extremely, extremely pretentious and worried about one's reputation.
'Speaking of which ,' Rarity thought to herself as a voice called out to her just before she managed to leave the windowless room.
"Congratulations on your appointment, Rarity!" Turning around as demurely as public etiquette dictated, she saw the yellow colored Honeybuzz flash his practiced Canterlotonian smile at her. "I'm sure a pony with such a breadth of interests such as yourself will serve us well with the coming fashion seasons to come."
"Yes, I do say that I will try to my utmost ability, Honeybuzz." Rarity replied in much the same forced courtesy despite her need to escape the slimy aura the stallion before her exuded. What's more, she had to look slightly lower than her normal line of sight toward a stallion given Honeybuzz's smaller-than-average stature to most adult males. Despite his gray mane his face was boyish and disarming, which greatly contrasted the sorts of schemes he cooked up with the bakeries he inherited that could be found in the major cities and towns throughout Equestria. One such scheme involved trying to shut down all of the potential competition in Ponyville, which Mr. and Mrs. Cake just barely managed to fight off.
As the last few ponies other than themselves now left, Honeybuzz's expression became more guarded. Rarity knew the attitude quite well. In fact she was so familiar that she decided now was the time to leave, rather than having to waste her time playing cat-and-mouse games of melodramatic intrigue and wordplay with the stallion. Just as she opened the door to leave, she heard him comment in a light manner, "You know, a little bird told me that you actually were one of the last ponies to see Glam before she disappeared."
"Really, now?" Rarity gave up feigning her interest in what he had to say and sighed, "I wonder how that little bird could have come up with such an idea." It did not even take a full turn of her head to see the blue-coated blond-maned earth pony stallion receptionist. Realizing she had spotted him, even though he and another pony were simply standing to the side in the hallway just outside of the door, the bespectacled pony had frozen in fear and with wide eyes did his best to avoid eye contact with her. Considering the overabundance of bandages wrapped around his jaw and the surprisingly fashionable-looking neck brace he was wearing, Rarity wondered to herself about her assumption of him being Glam's private plaything. Shrugging off the thought she looked ahead, haven ignored most if not all of what Honeybuzz had been saying to posture himself as intimidating or some silly thing she didn't really care about.
"...in any case, congratulations again. Take care, Rarity."
"Hmmm? Oh, right. Um, you too." She said in half-interest and left the stallion to head back home as the sun was raised up to the meridian to signal that it had just turned noon.

Sighing to herself as she walked down the empty street, Rarity marveled at how tired she was at this point of the day, from just sitting in place for a few hours and listening to others prattle on and on about nothing. There was the occasional absurd situation she found privately hilarious, such as the argument that rose up between two well known designers protesting the other's use of a very similar stitching pattern for a dress, not wanting to there to be confusion with the other despite their using the same color, length, material and making it for the same purpose: the Grand Galloping Gala.
And at the very least Fancy Pants was there with his ever-so subversive sense of humor flying too high or under most of the ponies' head to understand that he was making fun of them.
Rarity let out a chuckle, wondering how best to thank him for all that he had done for her and Spike since they had moved to Canterlot, when she heard a second set of hoofsteps following behind her.
In fact, the road that she had been trotting down for the past few minutes was indeed empty of anypony else. There was no reason or event she could immediately think of for no one at all to be here.
Stopping suddenly, Rarity quickly turned around but the street behind her was empty and there were no alleyways to hide within. Her eyes darted side to side then toward the high rooftops. She knew very well that she could trust her instincts.
That she was being followed.
It was not a question of who would most likely want to follow her, but more a matter of how many there were; what they planned to do. Turning back once more, she-

Hours had passed.
Not only while she was unconscious, but since waking up to find herself tied up and blindfolded in some unknown place. And soaking wet. Not in an enjoyable way either, like whenever she and Spike would play around, no. A bucket of cold water was thrown at her, jerking her to wakefulness and the fact that she was tied up nearly made her topple over in the chair she was placed upon.
"Wake up!" She remembered a gruff voice yell out. "Time to answer some of our questions. And if you don't, well...heheh...I'll just leave it at that for now." Then his voice became closer. "First question: who is Geyser Cozy?"
Rarity openly scoffed in-between sniffles from the chilly effect of the water that had soaked her from head to toe. To be perfectly honest that mystery pony's attempt at threatening her sounded quite adorable, since there really wasn't any way to back it up.
So she tried to be smart about it. "You know, usually I'm asked to have dinner before I I tell them I'm married. I guess this will be the first time I'll have to reject mid-date!"
Suddenly there was a crack. It had happened so suddenly that the pain had not even registered until seconds later and Rarity only then realized her cheek was sore and stinging, head thrown to the side from a heavy blow, probably from a hoof from the feel of it.
"Let's try number one again: Who is Geyser Cozy ?" The voice repeated his question, sounding much more insistent.
"Haaaa..." she breathed out and righted herself on the chair to look forward, to where her assaulter was probably standing. "...my...apologies..." Rarity said with a tremble, more from the chill of her soaked coat than any fear, "I didn't realize that...my suitor today was a lady , considering that weak punch just n-" She was hit again, on the same side as last time. It magnified the soreness and stinging, made her jaw feel like sand and her head jumble around from the heavy hit.
Despite that however, Rarity laughed. At first a wheezy, then increasingly louder laugh. "Are-are you serious?" Her laughter slowed somewhat as she tried to catch her breath. Realizing that she had yet to be hit again, Rarity figured that her captor was probably thinking she had something pertinent to say. At this point she only worried that she wouldn't be able to finish her next quip before being overwhelmed from laughter at the thought. "Wh-what's next? You're going to threaten to cut my ear off? Release information you found about me? Oh! How about cement shoes? I've heard that that usually gets ponies' knees really shaking!"
"Take care of her until she wants it to stop." The voice then grumbled. Several other hoofsteps came closer now and secretly she braced for it, which led to the state she was in now...
Rarity was bruised and scratched and beaten. Her bones ached; lungs burned with every inhale. Sticking to her coat was probably flour or some sort of powder, making her feel sticky thanks to the water from earlier on. The condition of her mane was anyone's guess.
Yet still the smile on her lips remained.
Whoever had taken her also made sure to seal up her magic. Around her horn Rarity could feel the same binding that was placed onto Glam's just a few weeks ago. Obviously her captors had high level connections just as she did.
Rarity's curiosity was tickled by that.
She heard the heavy breathing from the several ponies who had just finished 'taking care of her', guessing about three to four other ponies in addition to the one who had given the orders. With what scant amount of saliva was left in her mouth, Rarity swallowed to ease her dry throat, tasting iron. "I'm...starting to get bored of all this foreplay , darlings." She said in a low tone, "When is the torture going to begin ?"
"Cripes ..." she heard her 'friend' mutter farther away as a quick succession of thumps like that of hooves on stairs, became louder and louder until a loud creak to her far left drew her attention.
"What's taking so long? Haven't you broken her, yet?" A new voice yelled out in the echo-prone room they were in.
Several chairs scraped the floor as it sounded like the group of ponies came to attention at the guest's arrival. "N-no." Her 'friend' admitted, sounding disappointed. Rather than spoil the moment by interrupting, Rarity decided to keep silent and listen, trying to place where she heard the new pony's voice from.
"No ?" The guest suddenly shouted, "What are you talking about? Aren't you supposed to be a professional ?"
"Hey, I'm the best there is! But with all the restrictions you're putting on me I can't do anything to her. Which means I won't get anything out of her."
Ignoring her bruised and battered form, the guest sounded somewhat disturbed by what her 'friend' said. "Well...it's not like I want you to maul her, or anything! That's just...unbecoming!"
Rarity smirked, unable to hold back her tongue any longer from the instance she recognized the guest's haughty tone. "Oh, Honeybuzz. Ever the gentlepony."
The guest gasped and there was a tense silence before he responded. "What!? H-how did you know?"
"Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho, how could I not have known? I mean it all makes sense. The high-level magic seal, the smell of sugar all around me. The motivation for kidnapping me. That one's a sort of 'duh' moment, really. Well, even without any of that, I'd recognize the sound of your whining anywhere. And trust me, I know my whining!"
"Fine, then. Let's drop all of this pretense." He growled out then quickly ripped off the blindfold from Rarity's eyes.
The sudden light from the single light bulb dangling in the center of the room made her eyes hurt until they slowly adjusted to the dimness. Focusing entirely on the baby-faced stallion before her, Rarity easily counted the five other ponies in the room, including a very burly-looking earth pony stallion with a rounded shield for a cutie mark. Much more intimidating than the other ponies, she quickly figured that the blue-haired pony with a thick mustache was the identity of her 'friend'. Nearby, a group of three Diamond Dogs of the larger breeds stood in wait, two posted on either side of the only door in the room and one right behind the unicorn businesspony.
"You're going to pay for what you did to my wife!" Honeybuzz's attempt to sound tough was enough to make Rarity want to pat him on the head.
Dropping her smile Rarity raised an eyebrow to give the best incredulous look she could with a swollen right eye. "What? Why am I responsible for your marrying a slut?"
"Because you attacked her in her office then dragged her off to who knows where! And I did not marry some slut!"
"Well she is now ." She mumbled just loud enough for everypony to hear. Managing to earn a few snickers from the dogs and ponies Honeybuzz growled but did not hit her. Although it seemed that he really wanted to, but barely managed to restrain his hoof from striking her. Rarity mused about how cute it looked. "She attacked me first, alright? And besides, after a while she 'came' more than willingly."
"Shut up! Glamorous was no such thing until you...you broke her!"
Rarity sighed, becoming bored with the banter while she felt wave after wave of head-splitting migraine course through her. She would have to get checked for a concussion after all of this was over. "Sir, rather than arguing this over with a third party such as moi I would highly suggest that you bring up the issue with your dear friend Windfall before you start slinging accusations my way."
"Windfall?" He blinked, looking incredibly stunned as to what she had just suggested. "And why, pray tell should I do that, hmmm?"
Rarity's lips curled upward. "Because everypony knows that they were fucking ."

Caramel Glaze sighed, irritated somewhat for having to be at work overtime.
While some of that irritation was aimed at her boss, who had suddenly asked her near the end of her shift this afternoon if she was available to work that night, Caramel was mostly upset at herself for agreeing to do so.
Put into numbers the sources of her bad mood was maybe at 25% her boss - 35% herself. The remaining 40% was directed at her boy-no, ex-boyfriend for dumping her just the other day.
Probably for some easy-lay skank of a pony that spread her legs whenever he wanted.
Which was a plenty dumb reason, Caramel thought to herself. The red haired baker snorted and blew a huff of air through her nose, causing the hanging sign that was strung up from the ceiling near her head to wave to and fro until coming right back to a stop.
Just when she was about to masturbate to relieve her boredom, going so far as clearing a spot behind the counter with the tiniest hope that she'd be caught--hopefully by somepony cute--a sharp buzz filled the store. Then another.
Caramel raised an eyebrow and headed to the back of the store, to the stockroom where crates of food coloring, and bags of flour and sugar were kept. The buzzing continued every few seconds as she proceeded out of the sales area of the shop to the delivery door. It was an odd time for deliveries but Caramel shrugged off the hassle, appreciating it as a way to break up the tedium of this extra shift.
"Yeah, yeah, hold your horses." She muttered to herself and unlocked the door and opened it to see a gray-coated mailmare holding a package by the ribbon with her teeth.
"I ha-hagh or hack-igh." The pegasus mumbled out.
With a sigh Caramel asked, "What was that?"
"Whoops, my bad." The gray pony said after setting the package down and realizing her mistake. "Um, Ms. Glaze, correct?" The earth pony baker nodded. "Right, well Ms. Glaze I have your package!" She repeated what she said. Shuffling through her side bag the mailmare presented a clipboard for Caramel to sign which, after some hesitation she did and the clipboard returned to the bag.
Glancing at the package sitting on the floor between them, Caramel let curiosity get the best of her and asked, "Couldn't you have just left it at my house?"
"Well normally that'd be true for regular ol' packages, but there's a different procedure when dealing with overnight deliveries like yours." She began to explain, nudging the ribbon-wrapped cardboard box with her hoof to point out the words CAUTION: FRAGILE written onto the sides and top. "It's required by Equestrian law that after inspecting the contents for any hazardous materials that it is given to the receiver within twelve hours. And...I didn't want to just leave it at your house ma'am, considering...um..." The mailmare blushed
Caramel smiled when she saw the other pony's growing nervousness. "So you're saying that you...looked at its contents, yourself?" She asked teasingly.
"Um..." The mare tried to look away but her right eye remained staring ahead.
Although surprised by this at first, Caramel thought it to be increasingly cute when combined with the pegasus' obvious embarrassment. Caramel slinked ever closer to the pegasus, managing to brush her leg against the gray-pony's forearm.
The blonde-maned mailmare jumped back from the light touch, surprising even Caramel as her wings suddenly unfurled. "L-listen, you're pretty and all, and I guess I wouldn't mind...uh, no, wait! I-I mean...it's-it's very inappropriate to be having this discussion since I'm on duty! There are other ponies that need their mail delivered as well! So..."
"...you mean it's ok when you're not on the clock, then?"
"Wha?! I...uh...that is...ohhhh!" Still flustered, the gray pegasus leaped up and took to the sky, flying awkwardly with a slight leftward list, obviously having some difficulty flapping her wings.
"Darn..." Caramel sighed as the pegasus disappeared around a tall building. After a moment of admiring the section of night sky where the mysterious mailmare had left, Caramel brought the package she had ordered just yesterday as a self-gift that she planned to use and show her now ex-boyfriend.
She closed and locked the door then brought the package with her back to the sales area and behind the counter, where she could at least be happy in knowing that she'd be getting a dick (even if it was fake) rather than a rolling pin inside of her tonight. Using her teeth she removed the ribbon and tore open the box with her hooves to take a glance at her 'Fragile delivery'.
Its head was flared and wider than the shaft's diameter, long from tip to end and purple in color. From where she stood it definitely did not look 'fragile' to her. Securing her usual spot right in front of the mirrored cabinet so she could get a second perspective on the fun she was about to have, the delivery buzzer sounded off once more.
At once she bounded to the stock room as the buzzer rang again. "Heh. I knew you'd be back soon. They always do." Caramel said to herself smugly and opened the door to find herself standing in front of a drooling opened maw full of jagged teeth.

"SHUT UP !" Honeybuzz screamed and struck Rarity as hard as he could. "I've had enough of your lies, you witch ! Don't you dare spout your nonsense about my friend and...my wife...ARGH!" In a fit of rage he struck her again, so hard that she was tossed to the floor while still tied down to the chair.
"Heh, you look like you enjoyed that, boss." Nickel commented, hoping that now he'd be given greater leeway with what his current employer hired him to do.
"Like you wouldn't believe." The unicorn sighed happily.
Still on the floor, Rarity began to cough, haven inhaled the powdered sugar strewn about that was now seeping into her wet coat. Tasting the metallic flavor of blood, her eyes flickered toward the back of the room and she mumbled something, letting out a chuckle despite her coughs.
"Huh?" Honeybuzz seethed as he rubbed his sore hoof. "What did you say, you cunt?"
Rarity simply smiled, making the stocky earth pony gesture to two other stallions to set the chair she was sitting on right. As soon as the legs were placed back on the floor Nickel smacked her with the back of his hoof. "ANSWER THE BOSS WHEN HE ASKS YOU SOMETHING, BITCH!"
Red-tinted spittle escaped her mouth, staining her shoulder as she faced her left. "...I said...that you're not getting out of here alive." Slowly her eyes met with Honeybuzz's.
For a moment he felt intimidated by her low tone, stepping backwards even, but then he calmed himself by remembering she was tied up. Not to mention the charm wrapped around her horn prevented her from being able to use her magic. Honeybuzz smiled and regained his bravado after remembering those assurances. "Oh really? And what makes you so sure that you are, Madame Rarity?"
Rarity smiled. "Because my husband knows what just happened."
The icy confidence in her voice made him fully aware now of a presence looming over him. The stallion turned around to be confronted with a wicked maw, full of jagged teeth and cast under a furious glare. After flinching, Honeybuzz realized how there was nothing there. He blinked several times and his trembling made the thugs look at him with some concern. No one else had seemed to notice it, but to Honeybuzz a murderous intent was beginning to seep into the small room.
"Ch-check what's outside!"
"What?" One of the Diamond Dogs cocked his head in confusion, making Honeybuzz's breathing grow heavier and quicker.
"I said CHECK!"
Noticing his growing anxiety Nickel nodded to the confused Diamond Dog to go ahead. He looked to the shaken unicorn once more. "Boss, are you alright?"
"It's...it's probably just my-"
The door exploded inward, sending shards of broken wood and clouds of white sugar and flour everywhere.
"Y-you damn Dogs!" Honeybuzz shouted, "How did you not notice!? What the hell am I paying you for? Kill it! KILL IT!" As soon as he screamed out Nickel dragged the smaller stallion away from the door as the ponies and dogs turned to face the intruder. From within the thickest part of the cloud, the biggest of the three Diamond Dogs was tossed across the room to slam against a far wall and pained whine.
Several more screams and shouts, one after another were heard as one after another the thugs were thrown like rag dolls.
As the chaos ensued, Rarity thought she was hallucinating as a result of the growing fatigue and dizziness she felt when a white-coated unicorn maid galloped in through the crowd of thugs. "Mistress, are you...alright?" Starla said with a pant as she used her magic to begin to unravel the ropes. With her hooves and teeth she pulled off the metallic charm on Rarity's horn.
"Yes." Rarity said straightforwardly, instinctively irritated from seeing the other mare.
As she was helped off of the chair to stand on her legs for the first time in hours, leaning on Starla's shoulder to keep balance, a deafening boom like thunder, shook everyone and everything.
Starla trembled from the force of his roar and nearly fell to the room in fear, but remember she was carrying the other mare and took her away from the screams and yells going on at the entrance.
As though he saw straight through the thick clouds of settling sugar and flour, a beast rushed through and pushed aside the ponies and dogs that managed to stand back up and gathered to stop it, bowling them over to the floor and immediately picked Honeybuzz up by his neck. Seeing his employer accosted Nickel charged the scaled attacker but was knocked away like a ball to bounce along the wet and powder-covered floor into several heavy bags that toppled over him.

The dogs and ponies that remained rushed in to engage Spike, to which he tossed Honeybuzz away to thrust at the nearest Diamond Dog with his free hand, tearing through its cheek and ripping off the jaw from its socket in the follow-through.
Undeterred the others split up, some charging from the left, others the right. The only other unicorn lifted up several jagged pieces of the door and threw them at the growling dragon ahead of the others' attack.
Without looking Spike caught the first stake mid-air and ignored the rest as they crumbled and exploded harmlessly against his scaled form. His focus now was on the nearest pony and dog on his left and he swung the jagged wood held tightly in his clawed hands through the dog's temple, piercing through its head and shattering the side of the skull on the other side. As flesh and tiny pieces of bone flew off in all directions along with the broken splinters the sheer force of Spike's swing carried the impaled dog against the pony next to it, jamming the point that had been sticking out and imbedded itself into him, making the stallion's legs buckle and collapse under the weight of the dog carcass.
The remaining two ponies and dog charging on his right tackled him and did their best to pin Spike's arms to his sides. As they did so the unicorn had picked up three larger pieces of wood and lobbed them at the dragon's face. With a deep inhale Spike belched a torrent of green fire, overwhelming the pony in the blaze. The pony let out a horrible shriek and dying whinny as his coat, completely singed and caked in black where it was once a yellow color and his flesh peeled and dripped to the floor to reveal the pink sinews of muscle and the white portions of bone along his ribcage and his jaw line.
The three ducked under the dragon fire while continuing to restrain him, ignoring the unicorn's gurgled pleas for help.
"Spike, that's enough." Rarity said desperately but noticed that he didn't obey.
Instead, he lifted his arms despite the ponies and dog's efforts and wrapped his bulging biceps around them, hugging the three to their surprise. The pony in the middle screamed and coughed out blood, haven been lifted up to take the three wooden projectiles into his back. Linking his hands together he squeezed his arms tight, pressing the dog and pony closer and closer against their dead comrade on either side of him, ignoring their screams for mercy. Rather, Spike squeezed even tighter, making their eyes bulge out and their faces turn blue from the pressure.
"Spike."
Finally, sickening pops and cracks could be heard. Trails of red seeped out of the ponies and dog's eyes and noses, their wide frightened stares frozen in time as their heads flopped because rigor mortis had yet to sink in.
Without a care Spike unlinked his hands and loosened his hold, letting the three bodies hit the floor, where they lay in a crumpled pile. The three bodies remained there on the floor, unmoving.
Rarity whispered out, unsure what to make of what had just happened. "S-spike?"
Without pause he stomped back over to where Honeybuzz slowly writhed and grabbed the stallion's neck with his blood soaked claw once more, lifting him up from the floor to dangle his legs uselessly.

"Spike!" Rarity suddenly yelled out, surprising Starla from the volume she managed but it was to no avail as the dragon proceeded to choke the unicorn stallion in his grasp. Growing impatient Spike clenched his other hand into a tight fist and raised it for Honeybuzz to see, pulled it back and threw with full force a punch meant to kill.
"SPIKE, YOU LISTEN TO YOUR WIFE AND STOP THIS INSTANT!"
The stallion in Spike's hold squealed as the fist stopped less than an inch away from his face. The scales that brushed against his nose cut the skin from the slight upward movement of the aborted punch. Immediately the smell and sound of urine streaming to the floor filled the room.
"Drop him. Now."
Spike did so without hesitation this time and Honeybuzz found himself wet in a puddle of his own piss on the ground. The dragon stepped away from him and turned toward her, breath heavy and full of rage.
Shrugging off Starla's shoulder, Rarity slowly hobbled over to the hulking beast as the single light bulb in the room swayed and made the orange din of its light ebb and flow making the shadows move about. After a few agonized steps, the two of them were merely a foot from one another.
"Come here, Spike." He lowered his head as she asked and remained unflinching as she pressed a hoof on either side of his face.
Rarity stared into her husband's eyes, intense and green and deviating from left to right as he took in the sight of his wife's bruises and scratches.
She sensed his anxiety and quickly tut-tutted him, softly stroking her hoof along the scaly ridges of his brow. "Oh, don't be so upset. You've done worse than this in the past, love. Or have you forgotten? Hm. In any case, what they did today was easy enough to endure. Because I knew you'd come and save me." As his gaze softened, she smiled and leaned in to kiss him on the nose, both of them closing their eyes. "My handsome dragon in shining scales."

Dirty Sexy Pony: Anniversary
"Starla? What are you doing? Get away from that boy!" Pulling the unicorn filly toward him with his magic, the dark-blue stallion placed her behind him and stood imposingly with his hackles raised.
"What? Dad! This is the friend I was telling you about!" Starla sharply called out in surprise at her dad's reaction.
"You're friends with Penny Pincher's son?" He asked while looking over his shoulder in surprise to his daughter's words. Quickly he turned forward and eyed Clydesdale warily as though the colt had grown two extra heads just then.
Before he could react, Starla scampered under the stallion's legs to stand between him and Clydesdale to take a defensive stance.
"You said you'd be nice to him no matter what, remember? You promised!"
Snapshot bristled at that reminder and snorted loudly, realizing now why she had been so insistent in making him do such a thing last night when he said he wanted to meet her friend that she had been talking so excitedly about for the past week or so. He wasn't even too concerned when she refused to say what her friend's name was since he was so happy about his daughter getting her cutie mark. "That was before I knew you were friends with that no-good criminal scum's son!"
"He's not a criminal, dad!" Starla's raised voice cracked suddenly, "Clydesdale's my friend!"
Leaning out from behind the taller filly, Clydesdale cleared his throat and looked up to the intimidating stallion. "Sir, I understand what you must be angry about, but I'm not my father! A-at the very least, I can at least try to say sorry for the kinds of things he's allegedly done..."
Hearing this, Snapshot charged angrily at the colt but stopped as Starla continued to stand in his way. With a heavy nicker he growled out, "You've no right to excuse what that monster's done, boy!"
Starla trembled at the sight of her dad, easily leaning over her lanky frame to stare down at the colt behind her, feeling the stallion's hot breath cascade against her face like an incoming hurricane ready to throw her away. She felt powerless to stop him from simply doing what he wanted to Clydesdale, who had apparently wronged him by no fault of his own; for simply being born. She gulped and raised her head to poke Snapshot's chin with her stub of a horn, surprising him with the harmless nudging. Feeling his angry gaze bear full force onto her, Starla winced reflexively, clenching her eyes shut and ears pinning down, her tail tucked close between her legs.
Snapshot's glare immediately softened when he saw how terrified his daughter was and took a step back, blinking and stammering a series of nonsensical words to himself. Finally, he gulped and gritted his teeth, with a pained look on his face. Starla had just managed to see this when she peeked from under her bangs with a single eye and stood up with worry of her own as her dad looked like he did when he first heard the news of his wife's passing from the doctor.
"Dad...?" She whispered out and took a step forward.
Snapshot looked toward the ground, his face now unreadable to the two foals. "Go..." He mumbled out, as though defeated. "I don't want to see you again, boy..." Turning around, the stallion began to walk away. "We're going home, Starla..."
"Dad?" Starla managed out again but her dad continued to walk away. Feeling her own pained look take hold of her expressions, the filly glanced over to the confused-looking Clydesdale. "I'm sorry..." She said, then hurried over to her dad.

Chapter 5
"Miss Rarity! " The purple maned unicorn stirred somewhat to the sound of her name being called. "Miss Rarity? " Echoing through the house the voice called again. "Miss Rarity! "
As she did every morning, Rarity woke up in Spike's arms.
But something was off.
His hold around her was tighter than usual, and he was practically on top of her, curled around her body as though protecting his hoard.
She was confused, because this wasn't supposed to be a comfortable position, yet she never felt safer and at ease.
"Miss Rarity! " The voice called a fourth time much more clearly, and she now realized that it was coming from downstairs.
Finally with great reluctance Rarity pulled herself out of Spike's tight hold around her and uneasily stood up from the bed. Her muscles and ribs felt tender and bruised, but she struggled through the pain and discomfort nonetheless, walking out of her bedroom, after putting on the right amount of make up to hide her face's injuries and donning a loose orange ensemble to cover her body's bruises, into the second floor hallway of her home that was bathed in the light of day. As she groggily went downstairs and yawned again she opened her eyes just in time to see her maid standing at a dignified attention in the foyer and a purple mare waiting patiently beside her.
It took less than a moment for her mind to snap to attention and a bright smile appeared on her face. "Oh my gosh, Twilight!" She ecstatically greeted her friend, "What a surprise!"
As though she had just done it yesterday Rarity embraced one of the two friends from Ponyville she had been keeping frequent contact with, giggling and squealing mutual between them both. "Mwah !" She said with a playful kiss to the other pony's cheek. "How are you, dear? It's not like you to be so spontaneous. What's the occasion?" After taking a step back to look over her friend, she found with some comfort how relatively little Twilight had changed over the years. Although the small tweaks to her manestyle were just simply divine updates to her appearance.
"The occasion?" Twilight asked with some curiosity hinted in her voice, "Your and Spike's anniversary, of course."
Rarity was puzzled but was not too stunned enough to be stopped from talking. "Our anniversary? But Twilight, it's only the third one coming up. Nothing particularly special about that, last I checked. Or is there some ancient tradition nopony's ever heard of?"
"Funny as always, Rarity." Twilight lightly chuckled. "But, well...I was thinking we could hold a surprise bachelorette party the same weekend for Mayor Mare since her own wedding is coming up. Here, in Canterlot! And considering of course that since you and Spike eloped and all, I thought that this might be a way for you to belatedly experience having one. A bachelorette party, I mean."
Rarity expressed a heartfelt smile matching the warmth she felt from hearing Twilight's sincere consideration. "Oh, sweetie, I appreciate the sentiment, I really do, but I'm a married mare now. To be honest I have even less of an interest in being egged on by my friends to drunkenly suck a bunch of strangers' dicks now than I did while I was single. Not to mention that Spike is much bigger than your run-of-the-mill stallion, anyways."
"W-what?" Twilight said with a blush reddening her face for a number of reasons. "That's absurd! Not to mention TMI! Besides, there's nothing like, um...drunken dick sucking...written in any of the books that I've read." Twilight immediately took out a book from her saddlebag and glanced through the pages in confusion. "I think...?"
Feeling a sense of her sisterly instincts coming along to help out her friend's naivety, Rarity placed an assuring hoof on the librarian's shoulder. "Twilight, there's a lot of things about bachelorette parties that won't be written down in your books."
"So it's mostly an...oral tradition?"
"Mmmm, you took the words right out of my mouth." Rarity smiled and laughed with her friend while admiring Twilight's innocent blushing.
"The tea is ready now." The maid said in a polite manner, interrupting the girls' laughter. Without even noticing that she had left for a moment, Rarity was in too high of spirits to not appreciate the initiative of the younger pony.
"Thank you, Starla. Could you go upstairs and wake up Spike? I wouldn't want him to miss a chance to catch up with Twilight."
"Of course." She said with a slight curtsey and made her way up the stairs to the master bedroom on the second floor, disappearing from sight.
With her gone, Twilight felt a bit more at ease to ask, "Rarity, since when did you have a maid?"
Rarity hummed and smiled toward Twilight, who was obviously both awed and inquisitive as she normally was. "Starla's actually a student of mine. From the fashion school I run? Well, you know how nosy I can be, so long story short I ended up involving myself in a private matter of hers and as thanks she insists in helping me around the house. Who am I to deny her that?" Rarity casually lied with a smile on her face.
"That's so generous of you, Rarity."
"And modest, too!"
Twilight laughed at her friend's joke. "Of course."

Upstairs, Starla walked into the master bedroom. She approached the bed where the slumbering dragon snored with the lightest of footsteps, taking care not to do anything too abrupt.
"Spike? " She whispered, "Rarity would like you to wake up, now. Your friend Twilight is here. "
Taking care to breathe softly Starla cautiously stood at the tips of her hooves to see if he had woken up at all. "Spike?" To her dismay, he answered her with a loud growling snore. She let out a heavy sigh of relief, being somewhat afraid if he had been awake.
Despite her new-found convictions, what happened last night was discouraging. Since she had decided to save Spike from Rarity's clutches, Starla had begun researching as best she could the books at her new "home" or at the library while Rarity was out about dragons, to no avail.
In fact, when Starla returned to the house, she found Spike becoming increasingly restless and for lack of a better word, "hungry" to feed. And so, while she was giving him some of her energy, feeling lightheaded like those many times before, Spike suddenly broke contact and rushed out of the house...
Starla did her best to keep up, but even at her fastest gallop she couldn't match the long strides he made on all fours.
Nearing the end of the street, she heard a shrill terrified scream, pulling her to an alleyway close to Honeybuzz's bakery on her right just a few blocks down. Rushing down the unlit alley Starla emerged onto the street corner where the bakery was on and seeing ahead at the delivery entrance she came across an earth pony trembling in fear.
Pushing herself to hurry to the red-maned pony Starla was nearly unable to stop in time to pull the shivering pony to her hooves. "Were you hurt?" She asked and quickly looked over the cream-colored mare for any injuries. Before she knew it the earth pony grabbed onto her for dear life, burying her face against Starla's chest and shaking and bawling her eyes out. "Don't worry. You'll be alright." Starla cooed, unexpectedly finding herself lightly patting the other pony's back to assure her.
"Y-you promise?" The uniformed pony asked. Tenderly stroking her hoof along the length of the unicorn's foreleg she then asked, "Would you...keep me safe?"
"Uh, what? Y-yeah, sure. I promise." Starla quickly nodded and replied distractedly. Her attention focused more on searching the stockroom, she immediately dropped the mare in her grasp and hurried inside upon hearing a loud crash and the distinct crumbling of plaster and wood. Hoping not to lose him again, Starla rushed in and found a false wall that was torn through. Through the mix the sugar, flour and dust clouding her view, Starla noticed the wooden steps that led to below the store, with hanging light bulbs interspersed every few feet..
Starla hurried down the steps, hearing Spike's heavy footfalls just ahead. As she got closer, she began to feel the murderous intent radiating from his shadowed form as he stood before a closed, obviously reinforced steel door. The sheer oppressive feel of his intent was making her consider running away to stay safe.
When he raised his arm and thrashed at the reinforced door in a single thrust with his clawed hand, Starla Shine realized must how protective Spike was of Rarity. Violently so.
From behind that door which he tore away and threw off behind him were two imposing-looking Diamond Dogs that were utterly shredded before they could even react much less cry out in pain. The door they stood beside was a normal white door made of wood, probably part of the original construction of the store. Its splatters and dots of red decorated the white paint...
Remembering the single minded focus in taking down his opponents one at a time filled her with dread.
However, her thoughts soon burned away because of the distraction that emerged before her. Spike turned over in bed and unraveled the bedsheets while continuing to sleep.
Starla gulped, amazed by the sight of his unsheathed organ. "Wow... " She whispered to herself, realizing that she had never seen it up close until now. Clearing her throat the unicorn was reminded how the still-limp organ had always been buried deep within Rarity or Glam but she quickly shook her head of the growing heat that aimed to cloud her thoughts. But before she realized it, Starla found herself a breath's away from the sleeping dragon. Despite it all, she was amazed how the size managed to fit inside of Rarity.
Getting closer, with breath held, Starla tentatively touched her hoof against the fleshy shaft when a clawed hand grabbed her at the hock. She nearly screamed out but his other hand pressed against her mouth.
Starla's eyes were wide and darted toward the claw's owner to see his green reptilian eyes staring back at her with a drowsy but inquisitive look.
"You. What's your name?" He mumbled out while sitting up in bed.
"Wh...?" Starla was surprised by the dragon's question but refrained from responding when Spike bared his teeth making a loud yawn. Opening his eyes once more, Spike inspected the pony still in his grasp like he were inspecting something he intended to eat; roaming from bottom to top and staring unflinchingly right at her.
His eyes were inquisitive and calculating.
He suddenly brought his snout close and roughly brushed his face against her neck, sniffing once, then twice. Pulling away but holding onto her leg still he said, "Hmmmm...You smell familiar." He smiled as he noticed where her eyes were aimed toward. Without needed to follow her line of sight he asked, "Like what you see?"
Starla chose to remain quiet and unmoving, doing her best to look toward him but avoiding direct eye contact. Reflexively she gulped.
Then, without waiting for her reply Spike said in a whisper, "Here, I'll give you a taste. " He grabbed at her suddenly, grasping her horn with the clawed hand that was holding her leg and pulled her closer to him.
He chuckled at her desperate flailing. With his hand clasping over her mouth Spike pinched her nose. Just as Starla gasped for air he forcibly scooped his hardening cock into her mouth, using her horn as a handle to keep her in place as she struggled to pull away.
"Umf....UMFPH !" Starla mumbled and thrashed with her hooves hitting uselessly against his stomach. Her sight was blurred from her tears, her head held down against his crotch as she became more and more lightheaded. A salty taste then started to drip against her taste buds, filling her mouth with a sour taste. Feeling his dick begin to twitch more and more, "MMMMMPH!" was all she was able to mumble out as he came. "MMMMMMPH!"
"Ahh, that was good !" Finally he pulled out, letting her breathe fully after so many minutes had passed. His thick, pungent essence dripped out of her mouth and onto the floor. Starla coughed and hacked noisily and felt her snot dribble out from her nostrils while panting and wheezing as her body trembled for what was to happen next.
However, with a satisfied sigh Spike stood up and stretched his arms up toward the ceiling and left the room, leaving Starla where she lay on the floor.

"Twilight!" Spike said with a beaming smile as he approached the two mares sitting in the dining room, "It's so good to see you!"
"Hi there, Spike!" Twilight beamed happily to the imposing dragon approaching them without fear.
After fondly watching him give Rarity a quick peck on the cheek, Twilight was taken aback by his sudden energetic hug, managing to be picked up and swung like a pendulum before placed back to the ground.
Just as she got her bearings back Spike sat down next to his wife and casually draped an arm over the white-coated mare's shoulders. "How are things back in Ponyville?" He asked in a deep voice.
Twilight smiled once more and began to recount the sorts of things that had been going on. Rarity would chime in every once in a while with a related comment while Spike sat patiently and quietly, offering only an attentive look and the occasional nod of his head.
Without the librarian's knowledge however, Spike was doing more than simply listening to Twilight talk about some creature Fluttershy had picked up named "Dewey." With minimal effort the dragon manipulated his tail to touch and tease at Rarity nethers, causing her to look plainly flushed and feeling much warmer against his arm. Still, Twilight continued chattering on about the strange animal and Rarity did her best to pay attention, amusing Spike greatly.
The tip of his tail slowly moved up and down between her vulva, feeling it become slicker and looser in eager anticipation to let him in. Spike chuckled just in time with a "joke" Twilight tried to tell. Noticing that Rarity hadn't laughed along, the purple pony went into further detail to explain the comment, making Rarity feel embarrassed as her attention was completely split and unable to properly focus on her friend.
"...and so that's why it was supposed to be funny." Twilight naively pointed out in hopes that Rarity would understand now. "Do you get it, now?" She asked.
With a deviously thin smirk Spike drove his tail into his wife just as she was about to shakily respond to her bookish friend, causing her to twitch and yelp in mid-sentence.
"What's wrong, Rarity?" Twilight flinched in worry at Rarity's unexpected behavior. "Are you alright? You don't have a fever, do you?" Just as she was about to hurry around the table to tend to the other unicorn, Rarity raised a hoof to stop her.
"N-nothing's the matter, dear. It's just that...well, Spike's being extra frisky , today."
"O-oh..." The purple mare said, sitting back down and lowering her head to hide her embarrassed blush. She floated her cup to her lips and took a small sip of her tea.
As an awkward silence descended Spike continued to dip his tail further between his wife's now soaking lips, eliciting a soft moan from Rarity before she caught herself and brought a napkin up to hide her face in place of her usual fan to hide her blushing.
"What's gotten into you, darling ?" Rarity smiled and whispered just loud enough for Spike to hear.
"I just wanted to be mischievous." The dragon replied in a teasing manner for everypony to hear, then leaned toward her and nibbled at her ear.
"I...I see." Was all Rarity managed to gasp out, melting into his touches.
After clearing her throat, Twilight chuckled quite nervously. "Uh...Looks like you two have some things already planned for today. We-we can do this another time, um...how about somewhere public instea-" But then she thought against it, and began to blush even more furiously. "On second thought...we still have some time...you guys can stop by the palace after, um...later."
Standing up from the table, Twilight did her absolute best to look away from the couple and ushered herself out of the room. "N-no need to see me out!" She called out almost fearfully when Rarity tried to remove herself from Spike's grasp with some difficulty and in a short moment the door had opened and closed.
At that, Spike removed his deliciously-filling tail from her and the unicorn's thoughts slowly began to return once more. And the first thing that Rarity could think about was that she was plainly appalled. The most excited she could remember being in recent memory, but simply appalled at how embarrassing her actions were in front of Twilight.
Standing up with his hands placed on his hips, Spike grinned proudly. "Well...you heard what Twilight said. Why don't we invite that Starla girl while we're at it? In fact...the table here looks large enough for all three of us!"
"What's wrong with you, Spike?" Rarity asked with a slight pant, doing her best to contain herself. "You're acting strangely."
She pretended to be unaware. Feigning ignorance of the control she had over him steadily slipping away quite suddenly over the last few days. In just the scant few moments she was doing her utmost not to just break down and beg Spike to ravish her right then and there in front of Twilight.
Hearing this Spike frowned then walked with heavy footsteps into the hallway.
"Wh-where are you going, Spike?" Rarity stammered out, unsure whether to chase after him or stand her ground.
Without looking he said, "Out."
"What? Come back here." She quickly trotted up to him, her eyes flickering between worry, timidity and anger. In as stern a voice she could summon Rarity commanded, "I never said you could go outsi-" The door slammed closed before she could finish, cutting her off. It had been years since anyone had the gall to slam a door in her face. Not since she had been in Ponyville struggling to be discovered had that happened. Rarity had gotten into plenty of arguments even since moving to Canterlot but to not even have the satisfaction of winning an argument, Spike's sudden impetuousness was simply baffling. "Agh! Of all the nerve!" She found herself shouting out and slammed her hoof against the floor, cracking one of the tiles.
"Rari-uh, I mean, Mistress, is everything alright?" Starla called out while rushing down to the foyer after hearing the yelling from upstairs. Just before standing at attention in front of the other unicorn the maid took care to wipe her mouth with her forehoof.
"Of course not. I wouldn't be screaming my head off if everything was..." Rarity stopped mid-rant then sniffed. "What's that?" She asked, then sniffed again. "That smell?"
"Wh-what smell, Mistress?"
Rarity sniffed the air again then without warning turned around and lunged onto Starla, penetrating the girl's lips with her tongue and probed deeply with her wide muscle, scooping out the remains of his taste as she withdrew from the maid and broke the kiss.
Starla was too stunned to talk.
Rarity swallowed the heavy pungent mix of Spike's syrupy discharge and Starla's saliva and smacked her lips, narrowing her eyes at the other pony in simmering anger. "Hmph." Was all she said before trotting away to the kitchen for a glass of wine.
Starla stood there frozen for a moment, confused and unsure as to what was going on.

"...tell me...who wanted my wife kidnapped?" The dragon gave a low, menacing growl in his demand. With no hesitation he twisted his foot as he pressed harder onto the stallion pinned under him, feeling the bone of the pony's skull press inward just slightly.
The stallion gurgled out a reply, unable to properly scream out in agony as escaping streams of blood became frothy from his wheezing breaths. The masterful strokes of the dragon's claws had incised along the earth pony's neck to cause maximum agony without immediately killing him. However the ongoing delay in answering his question made the scaled beast sigh in irritation.
"Enun ciate." He snarled. "Make sure the back of the room can hear you, too."
Trembling from both fear and continuing blood loss, the bruised and battered earth pony stallion barely had the strength to focus on his surroundings, letting out a wheezy, "I...d-d-d-d-..."
"You what?" The dragon interrupted impatiently. "Dip balls into your mouth? ANSWER ME!" In a swift movement his tail whipped against the ground before the stallion's eyes, cracking the concrete floor and sending fragments and dust to smack against his face, which had a myriad lacerations that begun to sting.
"AHHHH! I DUNNO! " The pony cried out and clenched his eyes tight, blubbering loudly as tears ran down his cheeks.
Spike scowled. "Wrong answer." He sighed before pressing his foot with full force into the ground, stopping the pony's babbled pleading for mercy to the sound of a wet crunch. The blue earth pony's skull tore as bone fragments became jagged and ripped through his flesh and sinews of muscle, spraying a misty fountain of blood as air pushed into the fresh wounds and scooped out gray matter as a result of the vacuum effect.
For Spike, the mess was seen as no different than eggs dropped at the market.
The soupy omelet of brain tissue, flesh, bone and teeth that now drenched his foot was shaken of the excess blood that continued to flow like runny yolk out of the pony's skull. Spike looked over to the group of ponies huddling against the far wall, all of them trembling in fear and smelling of urine and feces. The single remaining bulb in the warehouse where a dozen or so mercenaries and assassins had gathered to take up a contract just hours ago before the massacre, continued to sway to and fro bringing the gore and remains of those lucky enough to be slaughtered into view for the hapless survivors. The walls and floor were splattered with the blood and guts and entrails of their comrades.
Spike scanned his eyes among the last four ponies in a discerning manner until he spotted a stallion with an expensive-looking necklace tucked under his raggedy clothes. "You." He said and pointed to the pony. "Over here." As he said this, the dragon picked the listless corpse under him with his foot and tossed it over to where others like it laid motionless in a pile of death. Every so often the mound was horrifyingly brought to light by the swinging bulb before being cast once more into darkness. Forever frozen in fear, those that had not had their faces torn off stared at their comrades whenever the bulb's light swayed into their direction with a permanent desperate pleading.
Unlike those lucky many dozen ponies, griffons and diamond dogs, only a slow, agonizing death awaited those left alive because they were not privileged to know their orders before they were sent to perform them.
Ignoring his desperate attempts to hide behind them, the others tossed the stallion over to their scaled tormentor. The purple stallion shrieked but was too terrified to scramble back to safety amongst those that had just threw him away. He gulped and stuttered out, "Pl-please...I...I'm just a thug..." Despite the blood that covered him from head to hoof, it was obvious to everyone even in the dim light that this pony was not in the least bit injured. The tell-tale signs that blood was actually applied to look like wounds made Spike smirk.
Hearing the stallion's excuse, the three injured (in one of their cases mortally so) stallions screamed out with indignant rage, "He's lying!"
"Yeah! He's the one who hired us!"
"He...knows..." The third one did his best to hurl his own condemning accusation but only coughed out blood and drool and snot.
The focus of everyone's ire became tense and shook his head in rapid fashion. The nervous smile that made his lips turn upward dropped into a frown and fear grew inside of him. "SHUT UP! SHUT UP, ALL OF YOU! I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU TRAITORS! I SWE-" Unable to finish he let out a breathless gasp from the sharp and excruciating pain in his side. The stallion grunted and quivered at first, then looked down in shock to see the dragon's clawed hand impaled into his barrel. Slowly he looked up and grew cold at the sight of the beast's cruel smile and calculating eyes greeting him.
"You must be wondering to yourself, 'Why am I still alive?', 'How is this even possible?'" Spike moved each of his fingers one at a time, tugging at the open flesh around each embedded finger and letting rivulets of blood escape and drop to the floor with a sickening pitter-patter . The stallion wanted to scream but held his tongue, and went so far as to bring his foreleg up to his mouth and bit down on the hock until he broke skin just to distract himself from the pain. "It is not luck. It is not providence. The only reasons you're not dead yet is because I missed all of your vital organs and my hand is plugging the wound." He explained with unrelenting malice in his voice. "Now. I'm going to ask you some questions. If there's a question you know the answer to, I want you to use your words and answer it. If you don't know the answer, I want you to say so and do not bullshit me with something you think I want to hear. Do you understand that?"
The stallion nodded his head in reply, earning a raised brow from his interrogator. Realizing his error, the stallion shakily removed his leg from his mouth and gulped, saying "Y...yes."
Without further comment Spike asked, "What is your name?"
"W-wind Whistler." He replied quietly and sniffled.
"Do you live in Canterlot?"
"...no."
"Where are you from?"
"...was...was born and raised...in Fillydelphia."
"Ah." Spike said with a smirk then continued. "Does the name 'Honeybuzz' sound familiar to you?"
"Y-yes..." Wind Whistler replied and after gulping he volunteered to say much to Spike's surprise, "...he's my brother."
Hearing this Spike offered a warm smile, baring his sharp teeth in the process. "Present tense, huh? So he's still alive...in any case, you're doing very good so far, Wind Whistler." The dragon stretched out his other hand and patted the stallion's head softly, making him whimper and tremble even more. "You see? This isn't so hard." Unable to look him in the eye, the stallion nodded as Spike continued his consoling pats. "Just a few more questions and this'll all be over." The pony grew fearful however, when Spike softly held his head and pulled him downward, making him lay on the ground on his uninjured side and soon he felt the dragon press his foot onto his neck. Wind Whistler audibly cried out from the movement of the other hand still jabbed into his side and the dragon's maneuvering, and trembled as though the room had grown freezing cold at the wet feel of a blood-soaked sole putting pressure onto him.
"Let's go with something a bit harder, now..." Spike asked with a soft and kind voice brought excruciatingly close to the pony's ear. "Wind Whistler...tell me...who wanted my wife kidnapped?"

"You didn't come home last night. I'd like to know where you've been, lately." The morning's awkward silence at the breakfast table was broken when Rarity stated her demand.
"Raping and pillaging, mostly." Spike replied, taking a sip from a cup of coffee then set it back down onto the table. "Some cave spelunking, too."
"Hmph." Rarity seethed at those words. "So you admit you're cheating on me?"
"Oh, all the time." He answered with a toothy smirk. Reaching his hand to his plate, Spike searched through the pile of gems and picked up an enticing-looking sapphire and bit into it. "Mostly guys."
"Jackass."
He took another bite and mumbled back with his mouth still full. "Love you too."
Rarity huffed in reply and the tense silence returned once more.
Standing at a loose attention Starla grimaced, unsure what to do in this situation.

For the first time in two nights, both husband and wife were in bed together.
The ruffle of bedsheets and soft groaning of the wooden bed frame broke the night's silence as the dragon pulled himself closer to the white coated pony, wrapping his arms around her barrel from behind her.
It was impossible to describe the level of rapture that Rarity found herself in at the moment. The warmth of his form pressing against her, the toughness of his muscled torso pressed against her back. She practically began to drool and her eyes unfocused as she took notice of the sound of his breathing; the sour scent of his perspiration. Without question she was elated to feel him upon her and excited that he did so of his own accord. However, his disobedience had to be addressed, as much as Rarity herself knew she would feel the collateral damage of what she had to do. Steeling her resolve, she said as indignantly as she could, "I'm not in the mood right now, Spike. My head hurts."
She heard him let out a small chuckle and she did her best to inhale the taste of his hot breath cascading over her from behind. "It's a good thing I'm not going to be fucking your head, then."
Outwardly she huffed in irritation at the comment and made to shrug his arm off of her. "Guh, how crude." Inwardly however, she shook and trembled at image after image passing through her mind the sorts of things he had planned as a result of her stubbornness.
As though seeing those crude and certainly increasingly perverse images that were coursing through her mind, Spike made a satisfied groan as he wrapped his right arm over her shoulder once more. "Mmmm, your body seems to agree with me, dear." With expert fingers he tugged and rubbed her exposed flesh with his other hand from under the covers, causing her to shudder involuntarily.
Using her magic, and with great reluctance, Rarity pulled his hand away from her, barely managing to retain her discipline. "I have to wake up early tomorrow to open and run the store. This house and your gems aren't free, you know."

Somewhat understanding the hint, the white unicorn rubbed the nape of her neck with her hoof. "I don't really know that much about you." Starla freely admitted . "I only met you after I started going to Rarity's school."
"Heh. Yeah, I still can't get over that." Spike suddenly chuckled and leaned back while sitting, causing the mattress frame to squeak under his weight.
His reaction prompted a quick reply from the pony. "Huh?"
Crossing his arms over his chest, Spike glanced upward in thought while bouncing slightly before explaining. "What I can remember, from when I was still in Ponyville...is how hard Rarity had to work to make her dresses and manage her store. And I'd be so eager to help her, to make her notice me." He paused for a moment and nodded his head.
With a sheepish look on her face Starla mewled barely loud enough for Spike to hear but he thankfully didn't cause her to sound off right away. Hopping up slightly, the dragon's heavy form was a few inches in the air for a quick second before landing with a loud thud of his feet against the floor and a shriek of the bed frame from the full force of his body.
Without even needed to wait a beat spike continued. "She called me nicknames, patted me affectionately. However I didn't want her to simply patronize me and treat me as someone with something more than a kid crush...the purple unicorn you met, Twilight Sparkle? She raised me since I was just a hatchling and I went to Ponyville because of her in the first place."

With a slight blush Starla began to explain, "Part of it was to try to free you, when I thought that Rarity was some awful, maniacal, evil mastermind that brainwashed you but then...all of this started happening...she was kidnapped...and rumors about all of the violence are even starting to spread to the normal citizens...now I don't know what I'm supposed to do." There was just so much to think about. So many more questions than answers now. However, one thing became certain.
"I want to help you save her." Starla declared in a steady voice. "From all of this. What she's become, living in Canterlot...I may have only seen a glimpse of Equestria's dark side when my mom died, but...I couldn't bear to think of the loneliness Rarity must have felt since she didn't have this you with her..." Somberly, Starla said with a sigh, "she tried to say to me before that this was the only way for you two to have gotten together."
"Maybe she's right." She heard him say lackadaisically.
"What?" Starla gasped. "But...that's so awful. There could have been a million other ways for you two to be together. Why do you have to be so cynical over your chances with the pony you love?"
"That's life." Spike sighed and shrugged his shoulders.
Before she knew it Starla had jumped onto the mattress and hopped over so that she was straddling the dragon with her face close to his. With a stern look aimed at the actually surprised dragon she jabbed her hoof at his chest. "No. I refuse to believe that, Spike. Sure, there are things in life that you have to cope with or even times to compromise your expectations and what you want, but without hope what's the point in a thing called love? Or the idea of finding your one, true, very special somepony? When you really love someone you want them to be the very best they can be and when they get sick you want to take care of them and nurture them until they get better, right?"

The others would laugh every so often, then Twilight would remark on a feature of the garden that she thought would look to be something to highlight for the upcoming festivities. There would be a statue, or an interestingly designed hedge, or a bed of brightly colored flowers along the well maintained path of colored dirt that snaked its way through the gardens.
In all of her time in Canterlot, Starla never would have imagined being able to go into the palace, much less take a tour of the gardens as they were doing right now. She had heard from a few of her former classmates from Rarity's fashion school that grew up in Ponyville, of how they often took a class trip to see the labyrinth and the number of statues that adorned the outer palace gardens, which she now had the privilege to see with her own eyes. In particular was the absurdly jovial display of Discord, the amalgam of creatures and avatar of chaos and disharmony that the Elements of Harmony had defeated once upon a time. Twilight Sparkle had proven to be an inspirational pony, given that she was not only the Element of Magic but Princess Celestia's protégé. To think that Rarity was also an Element was a bit more of a stretch, not to mention a bit difficult to stomach.
"Oh, and over here is where we can place the table for gifts. Both the serious and joking variety. Though I figure they'll have to be segregated so they don't get mixed up. So, what do you think?" Twilight stopped the tour for a moment and turned to the married couple with a wide smile on her face.
"It's really beautiful, Twilight." Spike said with a thoughtful head nod. His green eyes took in the scenery around them and the corners of his mouth turned upward in an appreciative grin. "What do you say, dear?"
Unlike Spike, Rarity was having a difficult time being attentive, especially for the last few minutes of the tour. The unicorn jerked in surprise from feeling the dragon's elbow nudge her withers and she nearly tripped over herself to look back at her patiently quiet friend. "Hmmm? Wha?" "Not a science fair, Rarity." Twilight chuckled. "A science colloquy .

Expertly taking his digits out of her while keeping the pony pinned to the ground, the dragon figured that the complete drenching of his hands was a mixed blessing and immediately penetrated her puckered ass with just his clawed index finger, this time.
"YES! " She hollered with her mouth still covered, "Mmmmmm, Spike! Put it in my ass! Pump me HARDER! " To his consternation, Rarity squirmed and buckled in pleasure from his renewed prodding, and coiled her purple tail around his arm to pull him deeper than he was ready to. Although in terms of pure strength Spike was easily able to resist, but in terms of retaining a delicate touch with his clawed finger being knuckle deep within her bowels, he was at a disadvantage as a result of her frantic movement. Knowing her, Rarity would have gone out of her way to use a thinly (thus fragile) walled pill in order to feel the maximum effects of the Bee Fly's buzzing as it sensed the Gerbera's pollen. His thoughts took a dark turn for a moment as he wondered how in the wide wide world of Equestria could the inspect smell the pollen from within such confines, but he quickly shook his head and reasserted his focus. He wasn't that monster anymore.
He was Spike.
Adjusting the angle of his wrist, the dragon dared to reach deeper within, ignoring the constant milking spasms of her muscles to evict the intruders within its confines. That was when he felt it. The point of his claw just barely brushed against some foreign object within the otherwise juicy warm walls of her rectum. Just before he was able to grasp the capsule, however,Twilight's voice echoed, "Spike? Rarity? Where are you?" It sounded very close.
"Tsk..." Spike clicked his tongue a second time. Much to Rarity's disappointment he pulled his finger out and stood up, then causing her to gasp he picked up the pony and held her in a princess carry while keeping his hand tight over her mouth as she continued to mumble out exceedingly lewd things and he just started to run. Bounding quickly with the help of his powerful legs he made it back into the winding grassy hedge walls in a couple of steps and rushed by Twilight without so much as to stop to hear in yelp in surprise. With ease he retraced his steps and emerged from the maze and hurried into the castle proper by pulling open the door with his foot grasping the handle and disappearing inside.
With not a pony in sight, Spike zoomed down the hallway and to the first large door that caught his attention. While not a solid memory, his instincts played in large part to help him remember that this was one of many guest bedrooms in the castle. One that was far away enough from the more populated portions of the castle, in any case. Charging ahead, Spike juggled the pony in his arms to open the door and slip into the room and look the door behind him.
With one fell swoop, Spike placed the pony in his arms onto a soft oval rug placed upon the hard marble floor then dipped his finger into Rarity's ass a second time, quickly finding the now-dormant capsule and dug it out. While Rarity spasmed in delight from the swift movements, the dragon crushed the capsule between his index finger and thumb and flicked the remains away, before moving his hand to support the pony's underside once more. Her heavy panting soon became measured and calmer, and upon realizing what had happened, Rarity let out a long a disappointed whine. "Why were you in such a hurry my lo-" Her thoughts halted when she realized the change in scenery. Looking around, she recognized the marble castle interiors and jumped to her hooves, almost hopping about in giddy excitement. "Oh, Spike! Don't tell me...are you going to ravish me right here? In the palace?"
His voice was low. "Rarity."
"You'll...you'll fuck me hard and rough until I'm screaming..."
Spike pinched the bridge of his nose. "Rarity."
"...and the echoes of my slutty moans will let everyone know just how much in love we are!"
"Rarity. "
She was taken aback by his reaction. The softness of his chastising voice was deafening in her ears. The pain in his tone clenched at Rarity's chest and her first impulse was to await a heavy backhand against her cheek. She could feel a trail of wetness stream down her hind leg at the thought.
With steadily eroding patience she waited for that delicious sting to knock her to the ground and she smiled, waiting...waiting...waiting...
"I remember. " He breathed out, finally.
Rarity blinked, hardly expecting her husband to say this of all things. She made her best attempt to smile while showing a puzzled look to his serious one. "...remember what, dear?"
Spike gulped, wanting no more than to shout at the pony before him to "Cut the crap!" but he restrained himself. Visibly so, by gritting his teeth and giving her a more intense stare than he intended. She flinched against her wanting to, finding the look on the dragon's face disconcerting rather than simmering. The sort of fierceness that didn't look at all playful.
"I remember everything that I've done to you." He said. Feeling his throat dry within moments of saying this he gulped again. Spike did not immediately follow this up with something else. Rather, he brought his hand up to caress Rarity's cheek in a comforting manner then allowed his grasp to weaken so his clawed fingers brushed against the Fire Ruby the unicorn always wore. "...and all the things you've done to me..."
She involuntarily shrieked and jumped back immediately, wide-eyed and raised her forehooves in a defensive manner to protect the necklace. "What are you doing?!"
Almost a minute passed and the tense silence had risen as though it were a thick fog that obstructed each other's view. Ever subtly Rarity's eyes flickered between her Fire Ruby and Spike, trying to discern if it were marked or scratched while ever paranoid that the dragon would suddenly attack her. Her feelings had never been more mixed about that prospect. She pawed at the Fire Ruby with the inner soft groove of her hoof to find any imperfections in the gem's cuts.
As Rarity grew more and more preoccupied with the Fire Ruby Spike sighed tiredly. "You're shaking."
Her eyes shot back up to keep him in focus. A frizzled strand of her mane fell loose to dangle in front of her eyes, as well. "Y-you're acting strangely!" Rarity's voice quivered back. She watched as her husband's face changed from its fierce stare to that of concern then to a stern glare. So many emotions...so unlike how he used to be. "It's...it's not right......" Rarity said nervously, "What happened, Spike? What corrupted you, so?"
He nearly jumped at her, nearly let his dark thoughts return to take control of his actions. "You're the one that's not... " He reeled back when he realized...and slowly shook his head at the sight of the fearful look in her eyes and her demeanor and took a steady step forward. "...supposed to be like this... " Falling to her haunches, Rarity protectively clasped the gem necklace tighter and scrambled back until she bumped against the bed. Spike let out a trembling exhale from seeing the panic-stricken mare, covering his mouth with his hand. With a single breath he steeled himself, lowered his hands to his sides and moved forward again, taking to one knee so they were eye to eye with one another and so he could bring his hand to cup Rarity's face again. "I know you're in there..."
"She's...she's finally turned you against me, hasn't she?" Rarity quivered and gulped. Rarity knew how fruitless it would be to try anything against him. Had experience in how powerful a being he was when there was something he wanted. And now she had lost that...usurped by a pretending harlot who somehow brainwashed her love. "I knew I should have done to her what I did to Glam when I had the chance!"
Her horn came aglow but Spike did not act against it. Instead he continued caressing Rarity's trembling form, looking straight into her eyes without ever turning away. "I know the pony I love ...is somewhere in there..." It sounded familiar. Why did those words sound so familiar? "You just need to wake up, Rarity." He repeated some long forgotten mantra, letting his worried concern and iron declaration intermingle freely, strangely comforting her from hearing his voice.
With his other hand, Spike combed back her locks of purple mane once, then twice before brushing his thumb along the ridge of her brow in a gentle, repeating caress. Her tense expression softened at his touch. Her limbs slackened, and her head nuzzled more into his hands. The magic that was being focused in her horn dimmed, slowly fading away in brightness, dimming until at last the spell at its tip dissipated like glitter in the wind.
There was a tenderness in his touches. A sincere caring that was making her lips tremble at the thought that, the gentle ministrations she had taught him to do after all these years simply didn't compare. He was being so gentle, not at all consistent or regimented. Each touch was unique. Her heart was aflutter at the feel of his palm, the grooves of his digits, the points of his claws, simply being in contact with her. No need to firmly press against her muscles a set number of times, or to massage in any particular manner. It felt so good, to see the warmth in his eyes as opposed to a stoic stare. But then why did it also hurt? Like needles striking her chest whenever her glance happened upon the saddened curvature of his lips.
A tear, blackened by her mascara, ran down her pure white cheek. With his thumb Spike caught it and wiped it away. Leaning close he kissed that cheek, making her softly coo in delight. She felt warm all throughout her body. But why, even as he pulled away from that sentimental gesture, did he remain somber? She pouted, seeing the look on his face.
"I...I don't understand, darling...why are you sad ?" Rarity's voice cracked suddenly and more tears began to stream down, black beads of her makeup crawling down along the soft white hairs of her face. "You're...you're acting strange...Spike...is it something I did...?"
Was this it? Not even kept as his mistress, was he going to completely leave her for her of all ponies?
Remaining quiet, the towering dragon was now on both knees, bowing down with his back hunched so his forehead touched against hers, resting alongside her horn.
It hurt.
She thought thought she would be maddened by this prospect...the idea of her Spike leaving her. But instead...she was overcome with melancholy.
Why did her chest pains grow the more he touched her, the more he treated her like a delicate glass figurine? And then she heard it. Felt it.
A sob. A hushed gasp for breath. Droplets of warm wetness falling onto her from above. Was he...?
"Spike?" Rarity asked, glancing up to see his eyes clenched tight. "Oh no...there is something wrong..." She shook, unable to comprehend why Spike would cry. Her Spike, who had killed a countless number of villains who dared lay their paws on her.
Spike, terrified and unable to escape...
...unable to scream for help...
...unable to speak out of turn...
...who lost all that made him him, for the sake of being turned into the perfect lover and the partner suited for her darkened tastes; a mindless drone.
What had she done? When had she...?
Feeling his tears continue to fall upon her, Rarity began to shake even more, dropping her forehooves fully to her sides. Looking downwards she saw her Fire Ruby, covered in the black drops of her tears. The symbol of their love darkened and no longer the bright shimmering red that had first kindled her feelings for Spike. In the same way her own mind and soul and heart were devoured by the darkness that she so wanted to say she reveled in; survived and adapted to. But that was a lie. She had never felt so alone. Desperate for that cold blanket wrapped around her, suffocating her, to be ripped asunder. For warm light to reflect on that wonderful gem that she had received from Spike on his birthday once again.
"...there's something wrong..." A single clear teardrop fell onto the middle of that blackened heart, revealing the ruby itself. A single red dot amidst a muddy black canvass. Then another. And another. Slowly, she watched with watery eyes as her necklace regained its beautiful luster as her mascara-stained tears were washed away by his clear ones. "...with me..." Realizing this, Rarity clenched her eyes shut and leaned entirely onto him, confused and conflicted as to why this felt so right. This sort of closeness. As well as the feeling of release from a weight that had been on her chest for years. "I'm...sorry... " She whispered, and closed her eyes. "I'm so, so...sor-... " Before she could continue, Spike wrapped his arms around her, holding her tighter against him.
Rarity sniffled. And smiled. They were both crying now, but she never felt so warm in such a long time.
Starla grinned as she took her ear away from the door and stepped away.
"How are they?" Twilight asked from behind her.
Without looking back Starla replied, "They're fine."
Although she wouldn't see it, Twilight nodded then sighed. "I never knew that things were so tough between them. I mean, sure, I could tell there was a lot of stress going on, but they looked so happy together." Starla managed to refrain from frowning when she heard that, unable to believe that one of Rarity's supposed close friends wasn't able to tell. In any case, she stepped away from the door and looked toward the purple unicorn. "You remember where your room is, right?"
"Yes. Thank you, Ms. Sparkle." Starla said with a curtsy, acting ever like a dutiful maid.
"I can take care of everything else from this point, so could you tell Rarity not to worry anymore?" Seeing Starla's nod, Twilight headed down the hallway. "See you tomorrow, Starla."
After Twilight disappeared around the corner, Starla walked the other direction and outside onto one of the several smaller balconies that dotted the exterior of the Canterlot palace.
She looked up at the amazing tapestry of lights that Princess Luna had made. Almost instantly her eyes found the placement of the North Star. Her mother's star; the star of her mother's namesake.
It had been a while since they last chatted, what with all of the craziness going on. But Starla knew her mother was ok with the wait, figuring that their one-sided conversation tonight will probably be the longest they had in years.
Starla stepped forward, leaning on the banister with her forelegs crossed and sighed, wondering where to even begin when something below caught her eye. No guards seemed to be present for her to call to, and hoping that her eyes were simply playing with her imagination, she decided that it was safer to be sure than not. She leaned farther out, remembering what Twilight her taught her earlier in the day about teleportation magic and focused on a spot on the ground far from the object that raised concern with her. In a blink of light, Starla felt the ground dissolve under her just to reform a few inches below where she was standing, causing her to stumble slightly upon landing. "W-wow..." the unicorn shivered from the tingles running up and down her legs and spine and the strange sensation of feeling every hair follicle on her body, just like how Twilight described she would. Her smile disappeared somewhat as she spun on her hooves to hurry over to the still form lying on the ground just short of the servant's side entrance to the castle.
There it was, still and bloody. An injured earth pony stallion.
