//-------------------------------------------------------// The High Life -by Polaris Solarmoon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 [Chapter 1] Rara Belle-Pie was currently sitting outside her home watching the clouds roll by, she had even brought along her best friend Tom who was this small rock that she found on the rock farm that she lives and works at, she sighs nothing else could be better, until she heard a dull sounding monotone call her name. ("It seems that my break is over, I better go see what Pinkamina wants.") she thought to herself as she walked over to Pinkamina. "P-Pinkamina. I'm here, do you need me to do anything?" Rara Belle-Pie said. "Your favorite show is on." was the dull mare's monotone response. "Oh my Celestia! You mean "Surviving the harsh world of Modeling !?" " Rara said. "Exactly." Pinkamina said. "Oh goodness, I best get to watching then!" Rara says as she quickly trots inside her home and goes into her room. Pinkamina follows slowly behind her and then shuts the door. *Rara Belle-Pie's room* Rara eagerly waited as her favourite show came out of commercial, she hoping to see her idol,Monarch Masquerade. *t.v. turns on...* Good morning everypony, my name Sum Guy and welcome back to Surviving the harsh world of Modeling! *Audience applause* Thank you, Thank you and now I would like to introduce our special guest for today. It is the one, the only Monarch Masquerade! *Audience applauses as Monarch Masquerade trots in from the left side of the stage, she happily waves to the crowd and then takes her seat next to the host* So Monarch Masquerade, how have you been? "Just fine darling, I've just finished a tour around Equestra and I'm rather happy to be back home." Monarch Masquerade says, her serene voice nearly made a few of the stallions in the room faint. Rara Belle-Pie sqeed when she heard her idols voice. That's good, so I have a few questions for you, will you care to listen? "Of course." Monarch Masquerade answered. Okay so first of all, do you have any advice for the younger ponies wishing to be like you? "Well for starters, I didn't start out like this. I was once a shy little filly, I didn't have much self esteem either. And then there was the bullying which made things even worse, the bullying got so bad that my parents had to move to Canterlot, it was there that I met Photo Finish and where I started my career as a model, I rose to stardom rather quickly and I've been a model ever since, but I would like to say this, becoming a model like myself isn't so easy and I don't recommend going that path but if you really want to then it is your choice." Monarch Masquerade said. Rara Belle-Pie was touched by her story,she held her friend Tom close as the show countinued. I... Wow that's deep, so how do you deal with the paparazzi? "Ugh, those bloodhounds? I usually ignore them." Monarch Masquerade answered. Alright then, how do you deal with the fans? "I love my fans, I really do, I just wish they would be more respective of my personal space." Monarch Masquerade said. Cool so I want to ask you one more question before we go into commercial? "Sure, what is it?" Monarch Masquerade said. What was your name previously? We all want to know. "You mean my real name correct? It was Fluttergem before I changed it." Monarch Masquerade said. Awesome well we have to go into commercial but when we come back we'll have even more Monarch Masquerade so stay tuned. Rara Belle-Pie watched as the commercial came on the screen. "Wow that was really nice, I can't wait until this commercial is over." Rara Belle-Pie said. "Tom? Do you need anything?" she says to her rock friend who said nothing in response. "No? Okay then, let's continue watching." Rara Belle-Pie says as the show finally gets out of commercial. And we're back! Now then Monarch Masquerade what are you doing now? "Moi, well I'm planning on opening up my own boutique but I'm not sure where I should put it." Monarch Masquerade said. Wow that's pretty cool anything else you like to say? "Well yes actually..., Rainbow Dash if your hearing this, I want to say that I forgive you and I hope we meet face to face once more." Monarch Masquerade said. Alright then do you have anything else to say? "No not really, but I would like to say thank you for having me on this show, I also have an announcement to make, I'm going to be visiting Ponyville for the week to sign autographs and do a little meet and greet, I'll be there from March 11st through March 7th so come along, you won't be dissapointed." Monarch Masquerade says before winking. Well that's all the time we have, I like to thank our special guest Monarch Masquerade for coming over and sharing her wisdom with the world. This has been Sum Guy thank you for watching Surviving the harsh world of Modeling! *t.v. turns off* Rara Belle-Pie was amazed by Monarch Masquerade's words and took them to heart, she's always wanted to be a fashionista but she was too shy to ever leave her home. "Tom,Do you think we should go to Ponyville?" Rara Belle-Pie says to her rock friend who said nothing in response once more. "I think you're right Tom, we should ask Pinkamina." Rara Belle-Pie said. Rara Belle-Pie then heads over to Pinkamina's room, as she does Limestone Pie comes over and says, "Oi Rara, what cha up to?" "Oh um hi Limestone, I'm going to ask Pinkamina if me and Tom could go to Ponyville." Rara Belle-Pie said. "Alright then, just git home soon ya here?" Limestone said. "Of course Limestone, I will." Rara Belle-Pie says before she continues on her way to Pinkamina's room. "Huh, that mare's somethin' else ain't she..." Limestone mutters to herself as Rara Belle-Pie left. Rara Belle-Pie eventually made it to Pinkamina's room and knocked on the door. "Come in" was the monotone reply. [to be continued...] Author's Note Rara Belle-Pie's personality is a mix between Fluttershy and Rarity. Ps: she is a big fan of Monarch Masquerade after seeing her on the t.v. This is one of my favorite stories and will have two chapters. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 [chapter 2] (Where we last left off Rara Belle-Pie just finished watching her favourite show and from it she heard that Monarch Masquerade was visiting Ponyville for a few days, so she decides to ask her "sister" if she and Tom could go and see her.) Rara Belle-Pie eventually made it to Pinkamina's room and knocked on the door. "Come in" was the monotone reply. "Um Pinkamena? I-i um just want to say um..." Rara never got to finish as Pinkamena had finished for her by saying," You want to go to Ponyville don't you?" in her usual monotone. "Y-yes I do, I heard from the t.v that she was going to visit, can I go? Please?" Rara said. "alright then, just try to return home by nightfall,understood?" Pinkamina said. "R-really!? Oh thank you so much Pinkamina!" Rara says happily before hugging her sister and then leaving the house. Rara and Tom made there way to Ponyville as quickly as they could, they've been there before so finding their way wasn't difficult, however the journey there was long and it took Rara a long time to get to Ponyville,thankfully she made it there in time for her idol's visit. "we made it... " Rara Belle-Pie says to Tom who said nothing in response. "oh Tom, don't be scared, let's go find Monarch Masquerade" Rara Belle-Pie says as she heads further into Ponyville. All of a sudden a Rara hears a voice say,"Pardon me Dearie but Who are you talking to? " The voice came from right behind Rara, so she had to turn around to see who it was was. When she did she couldn't believe it. It was Monarch Masquerade herself. "Y-your M-monarch Masquerade! " Rara Belle says. "Indeed I am, I was just taking a little walk and I just happened to be passing by and I heard your conversation to well.., your rock there and I figured you needed to talk with somepony. " Monarch Masquerade said. Rara Belle-Pie giggled then said"oh that's my friend Tom, he is my only friend really... " "Oh my..., I think I can see why, do you wish to have another friend? " Monarch Masquerade said. "W-who? " Rara said. Monarch chuckles then says," well why not we start with me? " "W-what!? You? But you're famous.. " Rara says. "I may be famous but I'm still just a normal mare. I think you and I can be good friends despite your shyness and besides, I feel like we've already been friends for years although we only met today." Monarch said. "I guess so... " Rara said. "Dearie? Can I tell you something? " Monarch said. "hmm? " Rara says. "I was just like you a long time ago, shy with no friends and bullied by those who don't care what my feelings are but guess what? I never let that bother me. I can tell from looking at you that you've never experienced a good friendship so today I'll be your first friend." Monarch Masquerade explained. "T-thank you miss Monarch, I-I'm Rara by the way." Rara said. "Rara, what a nice name you have. " Monarch said. "Thank you " Rara said. "your welcome, Rara I must go, but before I do here have this. " Monarch Masquerade says right as she gives Rara Belle-Pie an autograph. Rara happily takes the autograph, thanks Monarch and then says her goodbyes then heads home happy that not only did she meet her idol she had made her first true friend...
