I sigh and shut the book I had been reading, not like i'd read it 100 times or anything.. I pick it up in my magic and open it. Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, You have asked the same question of me for many years now. And I give you an answer at last. And immortal princess cannot be killed... Immortality is a gift to save a pony from death. It is not easily perished. To you, this may not be the answer you were looking for. But it is the answer. I'm sorry I couldn't help you more, Celestia Wait.... save a pony from death... If immortality could save a pony. How come Celestia didn't make my friends immortals!? They could have lived with me and we could have still been able to use the Elements of Harmony! She knew this answer for thousands of years and is just telling me now? 30 years to late if you ask me. I pick up my quill and start to write again. Dear Princess Celestia, If immortality can save a pony from their death, how come you never said anything before my friends all died? I didn't even bother to sign my name. She knew who the hell I was, and she had a question to answer. And not even a few seconds later, her reply zips in. I eagerly open in with my magic. Princess Twilight, It is true. I could have saved them. But it was there time to-- I tear the paper in two before even finishing in a fit of rage. All this time I've been mourning, all this time I've been blaming myself for not finding a way to save them!!! ALL THIS TIME!! I slam my hooves to the ground, the impact echoing through out the halls. Huffing hard I storm up the stairs and into my large room. Throwing books and things into my bag blindly I feel tears of anger and sadness running down my face. How could she do this to me?! After all I've done for her! How could she let me suffer like this!! Throwing my bag over my shoulders I storm back out of the room. It's time I made her suffer. It's time I made her pay!! And i'm not going to let her lie her way out of this. A Tough Thruth to Face~Celestia's Point Of View~ "Sister? Art thou alright?" Luna asks as she walks up to me after her night work in the dream world. I shake my head. She sits beside me. "Would thou like to speakith about this problem you face dear sister?" she asks. I look to her and sigh with a small nod. "It's about Twilight," I say. Luna taps her chin. "Twilight Sparkle? Ah yes, her dreams are...never good," Luna says as she nods her head. "What about her dear sister?" I sigh and try to stay calm. "She's going insane Luna! I-I left her alone for far to long...," I say. Luna raises an eyebrow. "Thy told you to take thy's advice and go talk to her sooner, but, when does thou ever listen to thee anymore?" Luna replied. I look to her in shame. "Y-You think this is my fault too then?" I ask. She nods. "Oh yes. Your's for not listening, not your's for the cause of death," Luna says nodding her head. "Thou told you that you should have gone and visited her right after the passing of her dear friends, but you argued and told me it wasn't right for you to do so." I look away. "I-I see your point...," I say in a hushed tone. Luna frowns. "Thou should have seen it sooner and this would have never happened!" Luna huffs coldly. I look back to her, I see why she's so harsh on this subject...Luna had been where Twilight is now.....Alone and on the brink of insanity...and once again, it had been my fault. Luna inhales sharply. "I've brought in Twilight Sparkle's remaining friend, Sir Spike, He and I will speak with her," Luna says. "And you dear sister, stay far away. Thou thinks you've done quiet enough already." She then gets up and leaves. I do nothing but look after her, her words were harsh...but...they were all true in every way... ~Spikes Point Of View~ I hadn't see Twilight for years... Being Dragon Lord along side Ember has been so much work that I never have time for anything else anymore. And the fact that I wasn't a small little baby dragon anymore didn't help the chance of visiting her. I wanted to, but after everything.... it's hard. Thorax has the same problems, he's a ruler, he doesn't get chances like that... Though Celestia.... she had Luna and Luna can run the kingdom for a day. But, when was Celestia ever to smart to figure out what her greatest pupil Twilight wants? Never. "Princess Luna, are you sure they really put her--holy shit what is that!!" I curse and lift my claw to see a dead guard. He had no external injuries from what I can see and the sent of magic was strong, no doubt alicorn magic. "You don't really think Twilight would kill a pony do you??" I ask and walk past the body. Luna keeps walking and doesn't look back to me as she answers. "Twilight Sparkle is highly unstable at the moment, there is no doubt she's doing this while blinded by her emotions," she replies. I frown. "But this is Twilight we're talking about Princess! She would never harm a pony!" I say stubbornly. Luna shakes her head. "Like thou said Sir Spike, she is highly unstable," Luna repeats. I sigh. "It's just Spike and...I hope she's okay now," I say, defeated. Luna nods. "You and I both," she replies with a soft sigh. "Alright Spike, be careful, and watch your step." She says as she steps in front of the door. "Twilight Sparkle, Tis I Princess Luna and Sir Spike, we are hear to speak with you," Luna says. I scratch the back of my neck waiting to hear her voice again. "D-Did she send you?," Twilight asks softly. Luna shakes her head. "No, I sent myself," Luna replies. "V-Very well," Twilight says. Luna opens the door , lighting her horn with light, and walks in with me following after. Twilight was seated in the center of the cold, dark, damp room. Her front hooves were chained heavily but I had no doubt that she could have broken them easy as butter. Twilight then looks to me. "S-Spike? Is that you?" she asks, peering through the darkness. I step as best as I can into the light of Luna's horn. "Yes Twilight, it's me," I say and smile softly. Tears build up in her eyes. "Oh look how much you've grown!" she says, smiling the smallest of smiles. I chuckle. "1,000 years can do a lot to a dragon," I say. She nods. "Ponies too," she adds. I nod with a sigh. "Ponies too," I agree. Luna steps closer. "Twilight Sparkle, I need to ask you a few things," she says. Twilight looks to her. "Go on an ask then, i'm not going anywhere," Twilight responds. Luna nods. "What is it you wanted from thy's sister?" Luna asks. Twilight frowns. "I wanted my friends to join me or for me to join my friends. I want nothing more but to be with them," Twilight answers. I stay silent so they can speak with one another. Luna nods. "And Celestia never told you how to do either of those things?" Luna asks. Twilight nods. "She never told me anything, she only said that an alicorn cannot be killed," Twilight replies. Luna blinks. "Well that's not true, thy alicorn can die from many things!" Luna says. Twilight looks to Luna. "So she lied to me once more? Typical," Twilight spats. "It's why she needs to die! She tells nothing but lies!" Luna shakes her head. "She does not need death Twilight Sparkle, but I agree she needs to be punished for all the lies she has told you over a span of 1,000 years," Luna says. I blink in surprise. Was Luna really going to go against Celestia like that??? "I couldn't agree more,Princess Luna, i'm glad you see my point!" Twilight says. Luna looks to me. "Sir Spike, please go back upstairs. There is much me and Twilight must disscus," Luna says. I wanted to argue, but there was no way I was going to go against and alicorn. Celestia didn't know what was going on, but me and Luna had devised a plan. The plan was, Luna would drawl Celestia out to me, telling her I was going to apologize for my behavior. What Celestia doesn't know is that Luna is actually drawling her out to me so I can do as I please. I wasn't going to kill Celestia, just curse her. It wasn't a bad curse, it was only a curse that would never allow her to lie ever again. Luna was fed up with her sister's lies, it's the only reason she's helping me. She wouldn't have helped me if I were to put harm upon Celestia, but I didn't plan to. Looking up, I see Luna in the tower window. She lit her horn, that was the signal that Celestia was on her way. Excellent. I rush to position and await my former mentor. ~Celestia's Point Of View~ Luna had told me that Twilight had come to apologize to me. I didn't want Twilight to do so, for it was my fault that she had done it. I planned to apologize instead. I sigh and follow after Luna. My sister didn't speak as we walked. She only would nod her head to the guards and staff that we would pass. I was okay with this however, I liked the silence at this point. Luna stopped in front of a door and looks back to me. "She's in here. Thou will wait out in the hallway," she says. I nod. "Okay. Thank you sister," I say and walk in. Luna nods and shuts the door. "Twilight?" I ask and turn on the light. Twilight sat on the bed with a small smile. "Hello Princess," she says. I blink. "Twilight ,I just want to apologize for never telling you anything," I begin. She gets up from the bed and walks to me. Twilight was only a little shorter than me now.... she'd grown so much. "Oh don't worry my dear Princess," Twilight says. "I'm going to make sure you can't lie to anypony anymore!" she says. I take a step back. "W-What do you mean by that? I don't lie to anypony," I say. She growls. "You lied just now," she says. Lighting her horn, she makes her way closer. I take another step back and press myself against the wall. Lighting my horn I frown. "Stay back Twilight I don't want either of us to get hurt," I warn. She grins and laughs darkly. "Try it!! Try and hurt me!!," she yells. I try to use my magic, but my horn wouldn't work. I couldn't use my magic... She must have done something! "You can't, can you!?" she asks and ask again. "What have you done?!" I ask. Her horn glows brighter. "Used a spell of course, and also I have one more up my sleeve just for you!" she says. I close my eyes as she blasts her magic at me. Once I open my eyes, I find her standing in front of me with a defiant smirk. "You'll never lie to anypony ever again Celestia." she whispers. "Why didn't you save my friends?" she asks. "I didn't believe they were pure enough to be immortals" I respond. What?! No! I didn't want to tell her that!! Twilight frowns heavily and her eyes spark in rage. "Not pure enough?????" she asks. "The bearers of The Elements of Harmony aren't PURE ENOUGH?!" "Yes," I say. Why was I saying these things? The things I only kept to myself? My own person opinions?? All I know is, if this doesn't stop....It could end terribly. ~Luna's Point Of Veiw~ Twilight and my sister have been in that room for a while now. I'm beginning to worry that things went different than what Sparkle and I had planned.... I didn't want harm to come upon my dearest sister, I just felt that it was right to have her tell the truth. And the spell Twilight was going to use would do just that. It wouldn't allow my sister to say anything but the truth... I believe that Twilight Sparkle deserves nothing but the truth. I know to well what it's like to be alone. My sister did nothing about it... I sigh. I shall not worry anymore about the past... It's time I moved on from it. Nightmare Moon is in the past... Celestia is the present. She was the one I was going to help even if she did not help me. Telling the truth is a good thing. This is good for my sister.... I hope.... ~Twilight's Point Of View~ "You don't think they were pure enough?! Why?!?" I yell. She flinches and opens her mouth to respond. She didn't have a choice but to respond, it was a part of the curse. "From the way they were so easily corrupted and became mean and cruel," Celestia responds. I knew she didn't know why the only things she could say was how she really felt but, I also didn't plan on telling her either. "That was because Discord!!! It wasn't their fault!" I yell stubbornly. She frowns. "They deserved to be immortals. Your just cruel and selfish." "Like you are not doing the same now?" Celestia snaps and closes her mouth quickly. I light my horn and growl in her face. "My friends saved Equestria over and over again, the deserved to be alicorns, you do not" I growl darkly and grip her wings with my magic. Her magic was blocked so she couldn't stop me from doing what I was about to do. Luna had asked me not to harm Celestia...but I didn't care anymore. "Your not pure, pure ponies don't lie" I say and rip her wings from her body. She screeches in pain. "How does karma feel oh sweet Princess?" I purr darkly. She was breathing heavy and her eyes clouded with tears of pain. I grin and chuckle at her, tossing her detached wings aside. "I know how to kill immortal princess now," I purr teasingly. "Rip them of their magic and tear off their limbs" I say and grab her horn. She looks to me in fear and I hear Luna pounding on the door, she must have heard her sister scream. I laugh darkly and look to her. "How ironic mm? You thought I was innocent. You thought if you gave me power that I would use it well," I whisper in her ear. "What a shame....Well, this is goodbye Celestia," I say. "P-Please Twilight h-have mercy," she whimpers. I chuckle. "To late for mercy, now...DIE!!" I yell and crack her horn in two with a minimal laugh. This was her end, and damn I was happy it was me to be the one to do it. But I wasn't going to stop now. Hell no, Equestria was mine for the taking now. Just a few last things to deal with. Cadence and Luna. Cleaning the Filth in Equestria~Luna's Point of View~ Pounding at the door for Twilight to let me in, I realized that one of them was hurt. I wasn't sure which one, but it was most likely T-- I perk up to see the door open and Twilight standing inside with a twisted grin on her face. Tia was the one on the floor drenched in blood. I gasp. "You swore not to harm her!" I say with a stomp of my hoof. Twilight chuckles darkly. "I altered the contract a tad. I do hop you don't mind," she says sweetly. I growl. "I do mind!! I was fine with making her tell the truth, not with placing harm upon her!!" I say. Twilight hums. "Truth kills, doesn't it Luna?" she asks. I frown before gasping. "Y-You killed her?!" I ask. Twilight's grin grows. "I did~" she replies. I light my horn and huff in anger. She couldn't get away with this!!! Trying to fire at her, I realize my magic wasn't working and Twilight's did. Her magic gripped upon my wings and I feel my heart thumping in her chest. "Shhh, don't worry. You'll be joining her!" she laughs. I stare wide-eyed. I couldn't move, what was happening?! Why is she doing this to me!? "I'm going to make the world like Celestia wanted dear Luna..." Twilight says softly. "If my friends weren't pure enough to be alicorns, nopony is." I start to feel her tugging at my wings with her magic. "T-Twilight don't do this," I plead. She chuckles darkly and shakes her head. "Not even I'm pure enough after this, I'll be joining you after I take care of you, Cadence, and little Flurry Heart" Twilight says. "I'll see you on the other side, Luna" she says before ripping at my wings with such a force that I hear myself scream in pain. After that, she went for my horn and I scream again. My heart thundered in my chest before....it stopped...and the world..went black.... ~Twilight's Point of View~ After dealing with the guards, I head for the Crystal Empire. Flurry Heart and Cadence were the next ones to go. Then I would take my own life and join them. Celestia had told me that my friends had not been pure enough to become immortals.. But my friends had been just as pure as the alicorns that had been made, including myself. So if they had to die, I felt that all of us had to die. Of course, Equestria was use to being told what to do by the alicorns, meaning they would need a new leader. I hadn't forgotten this. I have a certain pony in mind to take that role. A very pure and modest pony, purest of all... But that was for later. This was now. The Arctic North's snow stung my wings as I flew. It was much to big of a distance to teleport from Canterlot to the Crystal Empire so I decided to fly. I could have taken the train, but that would have taken to long. I must finish my task as soon as I can. So this is why I decided to fly. Now I knew that even my brother wouldn't let me take the lives of his family so easily. But I had a plan for that. The plan was, if I could distract him for just a few moments, then it would be easy to kill of Flurry and Cadence in a matter of seconds. I must admit, I only took my time with Celestia and Luna so that it would be more...dramatic...but Flurry and Cadence's lives will end quickly. Coming into the view of the barrier, I decide to teleport myself to the castle. ~Shinning Armor's Point of View~ "Hello Shinning~!" Twilight calls out to me. I hadn't been expecting a visit from her today... "Hia Twily," I say and mess up her mane. She laughs softly and playfully smacks my hoof away. "What brings ya to the Crystal Empire sis?" I ask. She smiles. "A simple visit. I won't be staying to long, it's just been such a long time since I've seen you all!" she replies. I nod. "About 30 years in counting," I say and chuckle. "I'm getting grey hairs!!" Twilight chuckles. "How about you go clean up and I'll meet you all upstairs?" she asks. I nod and smile. "Sounds great Twily, see you up there," I say and then trot away with a final wave. ~Twilight's Point of View~ With my brother out of the way, it was time I did what I came to do. He wouldn't take long so I had to be swift about this. Walking into the room Cadence turns to me with a smile. I smile and swiftly light my horn, casting a spell to make the guards fall to their knees choking. Cadence's smile fades. "T-Twilight?" she asks. I grab her with my magic by her wings. "Hia~" I say and rip them from her body. She screeches with pain and shock. Next I take her horn from her head and let her fall to the ground. "You were always a pain in my ass anyway," I mutter and make my way to a terrified Flurry Heart. She looks to her mother with wide eyes. I roll my own eyes and take no time to rip her over sized wings and horn from her body, letting her fall to the ground along with her mother. Stepping over their bodies I make my way to the window. Opening it I hear the door open from behind me. "Twi--" Shinning starts before stopping as he spots Cadence and Flurry. Looking to my bloody hooves, there was nopony else to blame. "W-What did you do to them!?" he yells. I chuckle darkly. "I'm simply filling a request of my former mentor," I reply with ease. "A pure world is a world with no immortals." I say. "Y-Your a monster!!" He yells. I sigh. "Oh Shinning, don't waste your breath. I said all alicorns, I'll be doing this to myself as well," I say. "As you know, Equestria is run by alicorns... Celestia wanted purity, this is why I'm leaving the purest of ponies to take our places. That pony is you Shinning Armor....take care of these ponies..." I say. "That is all I wish." I hug him, feeling him tense and I sigh. "Goodbye..." I say and step away. Taking my own wings into my magic, I do the same that I had done to the rest. I don't scream as I loose my wings... I liked the pain...it made me realize how close I was to being with my friends... Next I knew I couldn't take my horn from my head as I had done for the others. I walk to the wall and smash it against the wall, the last thing I hear is it clink against the crystal floor and the thump as my own body hit the floor. This was the end....This...is it...all my pain...all my suffering....gone at last. I close my eyes and fall into the darkness know as death. THE END Or so you thought.... "She's awake!" A pony shouts. Was that...Pinkie Pie?? Impossible.... I open my eyes completely to see Pinkie Pie standing over me as many others turned in surprise to look to me. Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack, Fluttershy...Celestia, Luna, Cadence....all of them were here. "Am I dead?" I ask again, aloud this time. Pinkie Pie shakes her head. "No silly!! You've just been asleep for a very very very long time!!" Pinkie giggles. I look over her. "Pinkie...are you....an alicorn??" I ask. She nods and smiles. "Yea! All of us are now!!" Pinkie squeaks. Luna then pushes through and whispers to me. "I've seen your dream from when you were in deep sleep Twilight Sparkle, I fear that it may have made you feel as though you have died. But I assure you, you and your friends are very much alive," she says. "I wished to end your nightmare, but I could not....You had ripped me from the dream completely." I look to her as I feel tears well in my eyes. "You saw all the terrible things I did?" I ask. She nods. "It was only but a dream, you did not do anything of the sort and I know in my heart you never will," she replies softly. I take a shaky breath. "Can we see her yet!?" An annoyed Rainbow Dash calls from behind Luna. Luna nods. "I'll make sure you never have that dream again, now, your friends missed you to much for me to keep you talking with me, I'll be here if you ever need me," Luna whispers. I nod. "T-Thank you Princess.." I say as she steps away. My friends then crowd around the bed. Each of them, all had horns and wings to prove their alicornism. I feel myself start to cry as they hug me tightly. "I missed all of you...so so much" I whisper. "No where as much as we missed you darling," Rarity whispers, tears running down her elegant face. Apple Jack wipes a tear from her eye. "Ya had us so gosh darn worried for ya Twi," she says with a chuckle. "I wasn't worried at all!! I knew she'd pull through!!" Rainbow says confidently. I smile and wipe my own tears away. "H-How long has it been? Why was I sleeping for so long?" I ask. "A little over 10 years now," Pinkie says as she looks at her watch that she didn't have five seconds ago. "O-One of your spells had b-backfired when we w-where fighting against C-Chrysalis..," Fluttershy whispers. I sigh. "I can't believe I've been gone for so long, what did I miss?" I ask. They look to one another. "S-Shinning Armor passed away a year or two back....," Apple Jack says softly. The tears of joy in my eyes became tears of heart-break. I-I wasn't here for even the passing of my own brother... "B-But other than that, Starlight and Trixie are...also gone..." Fluttershy whispers. I sigh and feel myself drowning in my own tears. Rarity wipes them away with a tissue. "They only tell you the bad things darling!! There are so many good things too!!" Rarity huffs. "Like how Rainbow got married to Soarin!" I wasn't here for Rainbow's wedding either.... "And so did I-I...to Discord" Fluttershy whispers. Another thing I missed...I can feel myself start to cry more. "And I and Apple Jack have married each other," Rarity says. "But do you want to know the best part Twilight?" she asks. I sniffle. "Is there a good part to this? I-I missed everything!" I sob. "Why that's not true darling! All of us had agreed five years back that none of us would have our wedding ceremonies or even have foals until you could be there for it" Rarity says. I blink, they had waited...just for me? I could feel my heart, melting in my chest. "Y-You all put your lives on hold...for m-me?" I ask. They all nod. "Of course we did!" Rainbow says. "We didn't want to do anything without you Twilight." They all nod in agreement. "All of us but Spike of course, but he didn't have a choice, Ember needed him. But he'll come as soon as he can once he knows your awake again," Rarity says. I smile happily. Though I didn't have my brother, Starlight, or Trixie anymore..I still had my amazing friends. And right now....that's all I could ever ask for... So Many Years, And Now I See You Again~Celestia's point of View~ I hear a knock on the door, a heavy knock. I concluded it was only one of the guards and I walk to it and open it. I blink in surprise, Twilight Sparkle... "Twilight! Do come in, the rain is much to heavy for you to stand out there," I say, smiling softly. She huffs hard and narrows her eyes instead of walking in, she stands and lets the hard rain wash over her. "Why didn't you save them!?" She asks. Anger in her voice... I hadn't know Twilight to even be an angry pony... "Whom Twilight my dear?" I ask. She huffs. "You let them die!!!," she screams over the sound of the heavy rain. I blink as realization floods through me....her friends.. "I had to Twilight, I didn't have a choice," I reply. She growls sharply and steps inside, water dripping from her wet mane and body as she narrows her eyes more. "You did have a choice! You wanted me to suffer! You punished me for nothing!," she yells. I flinch. "No my Twilight I would never cause--" I begin, she cuts me off. "You let them die Celestia," she growls. "I'm nothing without them! Equestria is nothing without them!" I shake my head. "That's not true," I say, trying to reason with her. "I cannot cure old age Twilight" She shakes her head stubbornly. "They never had to even get old! You could have let them be like us! But you didn't!!," she yells. Her screaming had caught the attention of the guards. My ears fall. "I'll make you suffer just like you did to me!!!" she screams and lunges at me. I flinch and squeeze my eyes shut, awaiting for the pain she was hoping to bring to me. But it never came. I open my eyes to see her struggling against the guards as they take her away. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS CELESTIA!!! I'LL KILL YOU IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!!" she howls in rage. I watch them take her. She wasn't Twilight Sparkle anymore....I didn't recognize this pony...she was....different now. And it was all my fault.... Twilight Sparkle, Princess of MourningSitting in front of the large window of my castle I sigh. I'd sit here often, watch the little ponies play with their friends... I use to have friends like that.... but.... I lost them to old age... Fluttershy, Apple Jack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, then Pinkie Pie... Spike of course was still alive, yet he was much to large to be in Ponyville anymore... He lived with Ember in the Dragon Lands. He was a ruler now, he didn't have time for me.... Starlight....died as well. She was the first to go... After her death....Trixie took her own life to be with her best friend. I've tried to do the same... it's why I had a number of scars nowadays. Attempt after attempt, spell after spell...I just healed after a few hours of deep pain. The pain didn't bother me anymore though, I was use to it. Nothing hurt more than my aching heart. Loneliness was hard to deal with. I just want to die already!! But alas, when do I get what I want... Well I best get to work on that letter.. Dear Princess Celestia, By now you have reluctantly realized after all these years, I have the same thing to say. I have made no friends and have learned nothing about friendship today. My letters have been short, but they say all I need to say... I know you may still not answer my question. Yet I ask it again for the thousandth time. Is there anyway to kill an immortal princess? Your Faithful Equal, Twilight Sparkle I watch as the letter wisps away. I had asked her the same question every year around my birth date as an alicorn. I don't know why it was always around this time... But... I do ask...every year. This would be my thousandth year as an alicorn, I still never got my answer.
The Answer That Had Been Long AwaitedA few hours later, my reply from Princess Celestia zips onto my desk. I sigh and shut the book I had been reading, not like i'd read it 100 times or anything.. I pick it up in my magic and open it. Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, You have asked the same question of me for many years now. And I give you an answer at last. And immortal princess cannot be killed... Immortality is a gift to save a pony from death. It is not easily perished. To you, this may not be the answer you were looking for. But it is the answer. I'm sorry I couldn't help you more, Celestia Wait.... save a pony from death... If immortality could save a pony. How come Celestia didn't make my friends immortals!? They could have lived with me and we could have still been able to use the Elements of Harmony! She knew this answer for thousands of years and is just telling me now? 30 years to late if you ask me. I pick up my quill and start to write again. Dear Princess Celestia, If immortality can save a pony from their death, how come you never said anything before my friends all died? I didn't even bother to sign my name. She knew who the hell I was, and she had a question to answer. And not even a few seconds later, her reply zips in. I eagerly open in with my magic. Princess Twilight, It is true. I could have saved them. But it was there time to-- I tear the paper in two before even finishing in a fit of rage. All this time I've been mourning, all this time I've been blaming myself for not finding a way to save them!!! ALL THIS TIME!! I slam my hooves to the ground, the impact echoing through out the halls. Huffing hard I storm up the stairs and into my large room. Throwing books and things into my bag blindly I feel tears of anger and sadness running down my face. How could she do this to me?! After all I've done for her! How could she let me suffer like this!! Throwing my bag over my shoulders I storm back out of the room. It's time I made her suffer. It's time I made her pay!! And i'm not going to let her lie her way out of this.
A Tough Thruth to Face~Celestia's Point Of View~ "Sister? Art thou alright?" Luna asks as she walks up to me after her night work in the dream world. I shake my head. She sits beside me. "Would thou like to speakith about this problem you face dear sister?" she asks. I look to her and sigh with a small nod. "It's about Twilight," I say. Luna taps her chin. "Twilight Sparkle? Ah yes, her dreams are...never good," Luna says as she nods her head. "What about her dear sister?" I sigh and try to stay calm. "She's going insane Luna! I-I left her alone for far to long...," I say. Luna raises an eyebrow. "Thy told you to take thy's advice and go talk to her sooner, but, when does thou ever listen to thee anymore?" Luna replied. I look to her in shame. "Y-You think this is my fault too then?" I ask. She nods. "Oh yes. Your's for not listening, not your's for the cause of death," Luna says nodding her head. "Thou told you that you should have gone and visited her right after the passing of her dear friends, but you argued and told me it wasn't right for you to do so." I look away. "I-I see your point...," I say in a hushed tone. Luna frowns. "Thou should have seen it sooner and this would have never happened!" Luna huffs coldly. I look back to her, I see why she's so harsh on this subject...Luna had been where Twilight is now.....Alone and on the brink of insanity...and once again, it had been my fault. Luna inhales sharply. "I've brought in Twilight Sparkle's remaining friend, Sir Spike, He and I will speak with her," Luna says. "And you dear sister, stay far away. Thou thinks you've done quiet enough already." She then gets up and leaves. I do nothing but look after her, her words were harsh...but...they were all true in every way... ~Spikes Point Of View~ I hadn't see Twilight for years... Being Dragon Lord along side Ember has been so much work that I never have time for anything else anymore. And the fact that I wasn't a small little baby dragon anymore didn't help the chance of visiting her. I wanted to, but after everything.... it's hard. Thorax has the same problems, he's a ruler, he doesn't get chances like that... Though Celestia.... she had Luna and Luna can run the kingdom for a day. But, when was Celestia ever to smart to figure out what her greatest pupil Twilight wants? Never. "Princess Luna, are you sure they really put her--holy shit what is that!!" I curse and lift my claw to see a dead guard. He had no external injuries from what I can see and the sent of magic was strong, no doubt alicorn magic. "You don't really think Twilight would kill a pony do you??" I ask and walk past the body. Luna keeps walking and doesn't look back to me as she answers. "Twilight Sparkle is highly unstable at the moment, there is no doubt she's doing this while blinded by her emotions," she replies. I frown. "But this is Twilight we're talking about Princess! She would never harm a pony!" I say stubbornly. Luna shakes her head. "Like thou said Sir Spike, she is highly unstable," Luna repeats. I sigh. "It's just Spike and...I hope she's okay now," I say, defeated. Luna nods. "You and I both," she replies with a soft sigh. "Alright Spike, be careful, and watch your step." She says as she steps in front of the door. "Twilight Sparkle, Tis I Princess Luna and Sir Spike, we are hear to speak with you," Luna says. I scratch the back of my neck waiting to hear her voice again. "D-Did she send you?," Twilight asks softly. Luna shakes her head. "No, I sent myself," Luna replies. "V-Very well," Twilight says. Luna opens the door , lighting her horn with light, and walks in with me following after. Twilight was seated in the center of the cold, dark, damp room. Her front hooves were chained heavily but I had no doubt that she could have broken them easy as butter. Twilight then looks to me. "S-Spike? Is that you?" she asks, peering through the darkness. I step as best as I can into the light of Luna's horn. "Yes Twilight, it's me," I say and smile softly. Tears build up in her eyes. "Oh look how much you've grown!" she says, smiling the smallest of smiles. I chuckle. "1,000 years can do a lot to a dragon," I say. She nods. "Ponies too," she adds. I nod with a sigh. "Ponies too," I agree. Luna steps closer. "Twilight Sparkle, I need to ask you a few things," she says. Twilight looks to her. "Go on an ask then, i'm not going anywhere," Twilight responds. Luna nods. "What is it you wanted from thy's sister?" Luna asks. Twilight frowns. "I wanted my friends to join me or for me to join my friends. I want nothing more but to be with them," Twilight answers. I stay silent so they can speak with one another. Luna nods. "And Celestia never told you how to do either of those things?" Luna asks. Twilight nods. "She never told me anything, she only said that an alicorn cannot be killed," Twilight replies. Luna blinks. "Well that's not true, thy alicorn can die from many things!" Luna says. Twilight looks to Luna. "So she lied to me once more? Typical," Twilight spats. "It's why she needs to die! She tells nothing but lies!" Luna shakes her head. "She does not need death Twilight Sparkle, but I agree she needs to be punished for all the lies she has told you over a span of 1,000 years," Luna says. I blink in surprise. Was Luna really going to go against Celestia like that??? "I couldn't agree more,Princess Luna, i'm glad you see my point!" Twilight says. Luna looks to me. "Sir Spike, please go back upstairs. There is much me and Twilight must disscus," Luna says. I wanted to argue, but there was no way I was going to go against and alicorn. So I give a small nod, and I leave them and head back up the stairs. Author's Note Taking the advice from the great ponies of the comment section. Sweet RevengeAuthor's Note WARNING: HEAVY GORE (LIMB DISPLACEMENT) AHEAD. READ WITH CAUTION Just making sure to warn you all. Sweet Revenge ~Twilight's Point Of View~ I had Luna on my side. It was great to have such a powerful ally. Celestia didn't know what was going on, but me and Luna had devised a plan. The plan was, Luna would drawl Celestia out to me, telling her I was going to apologize for my behavior. What Celestia doesn't know is that Luna is actually drawling her out to me so I can do as I please. I wasn't going to kill Celestia, just curse her. It wasn't a bad curse, it was only a curse that would never allow her to lie ever again. Luna was fed up with her sister's lies, it's the only reason she's helping me. She wouldn't have helped me if I were to put harm upon Celestia, but I didn't plan to. Looking up, I see Luna in the tower window. She lit her horn, that was the signal that Celestia was on her way. Excellent. I rush to position and await my former mentor. ~Celestia's Point Of View~ Luna had told me that Twilight had come to apologize to me. I didn't want Twilight to do so, for it was my fault that she had done it. I planned to apologize instead. I sigh and follow after Luna. My sister didn't speak as we walked. She only would nod her head to the guards and staff that we would pass. I was okay with this however, I liked the silence at this point. Luna stopped in front of a door and looks back to me. "She's in here. Thou will wait out in the hallway," she says. I nod. "Okay. Thank you sister," I say and walk in. Luna nods and shuts the door. "Twilight?" I ask and turn on the light. Twilight sat on the bed with a small smile. "Hello Princess," she says. I blink. "Twilight ,I just want to apologize for never telling you anything," I begin. She gets up from the bed and walks to me. Twilight was only a little shorter than me now.... she'd grown so much. "Oh don't worry my dear Princess," Twilight says. "I'm going to make sure you can't lie to anypony anymore!" she says. I take a step back. "W-What do you mean by that? I don't lie to anypony," I say. She growls. "You lied just now," she says. Lighting her horn, she makes her way closer. I take another step back and press myself against the wall. Lighting my horn I frown. "Stay back Twilight I don't want either of us to get hurt," I warn. She grins and laughs darkly. "Try it!! Try and hurt me!!," she yells. I try to use my magic, but my horn wouldn't work. I couldn't use my magic... She must have done something! "You can't, can you!?" she asks and ask again. "What have you done?!" I ask. Her horn glows brighter. "Used a spell of course, and also I have one more up my sleeve just for you!" she says. I close my eyes as she blasts her magic at me. Once I open my eyes, I find her standing in front of me with a defiant smirk. "You'll never lie to anypony ever again Celestia." she whispers. "Why didn't you save my friends?" she asks. "I didn't believe they were pure enough to be immortals" I respond. What?! No! I didn't want to tell her that!! Twilight frowns heavily and her eyes spark in rage. "Not pure enough?????" she asks. "The bearers of The Elements of Harmony aren't PURE ENOUGH?!" "Yes," I say. Why was I saying these things? The things I only kept to myself? My own person opinions?? All I know is, if this doesn't stop....It could end terribly. ~Luna's Point Of Veiw~ Twilight and my sister have been in that room for a while now. I'm beginning to worry that things went different than what Sparkle and I had planned.... I didn't want harm to come upon my dearest sister, I just felt that it was right to have her tell the truth. And the spell Twilight was going to use would do just that. It wouldn't allow my sister to say anything but the truth... I believe that Twilight Sparkle deserves nothing but the truth. I know to well what it's like to be alone. My sister did nothing about it... I sigh. I shall not worry anymore about the past... It's time I moved on from it. Nightmare Moon is in the past... Celestia is the present. She was the one I was going to help even if she did not help me. Telling the truth is a good thing. This is good for my sister.... I hope.... ~Twilight's Point Of View~ "You don't think they were pure enough?! Why?!?" I yell. She flinches and opens her mouth to respond. She didn't have a choice but to respond, it was a part of the curse. "From the way they were so easily corrupted and became mean and cruel," Celestia responds. I knew she didn't know why the only things she could say was how she really felt but, I also didn't plan on telling her either. "That was because Discord!!! It wasn't their fault!" I yell stubbornly. She frowns. "They deserved to be immortals. Your just cruel and selfish." "Like you are not doing the same now?" Celestia snaps and closes her mouth quickly. I light my horn and growl in her face. "My friends saved Equestria over and over again, the deserved to be alicorns, you do not" I growl darkly and grip her wings with my magic. Her magic was blocked so she couldn't stop me from doing what I was about to do. Luna had asked me not to harm Celestia...but I didn't care anymore. "Your not pure, pure ponies don't lie" I say and rip her wings from her body. She screeches in pain. "How does karma feel oh sweet Princess?" I purr darkly. She was breathing heavy and her eyes clouded with tears of pain. I grin and chuckle at her, tossing her detached wings aside. "I know how to kill immortal princess now," I purr teasingly. "Rip them of their magic and tear off their limbs" I say and grab her horn. She looks to me in fear and I hear Luna pounding on the door, she must have heard her sister scream. I laugh darkly and look to her. "How ironic mm? You thought I was innocent. You thought if you gave me power that I would use it well," I whisper in her ear. "What a shame....Well, this is goodbye Celestia," I say. "P-Please Twilight h-have mercy," she whimpers. I chuckle. "To late for mercy, now...DIE!!" I yell and crack her horn in two with a minimal laugh. This was her end, and damn I was happy it was me to be the one to do it. But I wasn't going to stop now. Hell no, Equestria was mine for the taking now. Just a few last things to deal with. Cadence and Luna.
Cleaning the Filth in Equestria~Luna's Point of View~ Pounding at the door for Twilight to let me in, I realized that one of them was hurt. I wasn't sure which one, but it was most likely T-- I perk up to see the door open and Twilight standing inside with a twisted grin on her face. Tia was the one on the floor drenched in blood. I gasp. "You swore not to harm her!" I say with a stomp of my hoof. Twilight chuckles darkly. "I altered the contract a tad. I do hop you don't mind," she says sweetly. I growl. "I do mind!! I was fine with making her tell the truth, not with placing harm upon her!!" I say. Twilight hums. "Truth kills, doesn't it Luna?" she asks. I frown before gasping. "Y-You killed her?!" I ask. Twilight's grin grows. "I did~" she replies. I light my horn and huff in anger. She couldn't get away with this!!! Trying to fire at her, I realize my magic wasn't working and Twilight's did. Her magic gripped upon my wings and I feel my heart thumping in her chest. "Shhh, don't worry. You'll be joining her!" she laughs. I stare wide-eyed. I couldn't move, what was happening?! Why is she doing this to me!? "I'm going to make the world like Celestia wanted dear Luna..." Twilight says softly. "If my friends weren't pure enough to be alicorns, nopony is." I start to feel her tugging at my wings with her magic. "T-Twilight don't do this," I plead. She chuckles darkly and shakes her head. "Not even I'm pure enough after this, I'll be joining you after I take care of you, Cadence, and little Flurry Heart" Twilight says. "I'll see you on the other side, Luna" she says before ripping at my wings with such a force that I hear myself scream in pain. After that, she went for my horn and I scream again. My heart thundered in my chest before....it stopped...and the world..went black.... ~Twilight's Point of View~ After dealing with the guards, I head for the Crystal Empire. Flurry Heart and Cadence were the next ones to go. Then I would take my own life and join them. Celestia had told me that my friends had not been pure enough to become immortals.. But my friends had been just as pure as the alicorns that had been made, including myself. So if they had to die, I felt that all of us had to die. Of course, Equestria was use to being told what to do by the alicorns, meaning they would need a new leader. I hadn't forgotten this. I have a certain pony in mind to take that role. A very pure and modest pony, purest of all... But that was for later. This was now. The Arctic North's snow stung my wings as I flew. It was much to big of a distance to teleport from Canterlot to the Crystal Empire so I decided to fly. I could have taken the train, but that would have taken to long. I must finish my task as soon as I can. So this is why I decided to fly. Now I knew that even my brother wouldn't let me take the lives of his family so easily. But I had a plan for that. The plan was, if I could distract him for just a few moments, then it would be easy to kill of Flurry and Cadence in a matter of seconds. I must admit, I only took my time with Celestia and Luna so that it would be more...dramatic...but Flurry and Cadence's lives will end quickly. Coming into the view of the barrier, I decide to teleport myself to the castle. ~Shinning Armor's Point of View~ "Hello Shinning~!" Twilight calls out to me. I hadn't been expecting a visit from her today... "Hia Twily," I say and mess up her mane. She laughs softly and playfully smacks my hoof away. "What brings ya to the Crystal Empire sis?" I ask. She smiles. "A simple visit. I won't be staying to long, it's just been such a long time since I've seen you all!" she replies. I nod. "About 30 years in counting," I say and chuckle. "I'm getting grey hairs!!" Twilight chuckles. "How about you go clean up and I'll meet you all upstairs?" she asks. I nod and smile. "Sounds great Twily, see you up there," I say and then trot away with a final wave. ~Twilight's Point of View~ With my brother out of the way, it was time I did what I came to do. He wouldn't take long so I had to be swift about this. Walking into the room Cadence turns to me with a smile. I smile and swiftly light my horn, casting a spell to make the guards fall to their knees choking. Cadence's smile fades. "T-Twilight?" she asks. I grab her with my magic by her wings. "Hia~" I say and rip them from her body. She screeches with pain and shock. Next I take her horn from her head and let her fall to the ground. "You were always a pain in my ass anyway," I mutter and make my way to a terrified Flurry Heart. She looks to her mother with wide eyes. I roll my own eyes and take no time to rip her over sized wings and horn from her body, letting her fall to the ground along with her mother. Stepping over their bodies I make my way to the window. Opening it I hear the door open from behind me. "Twi--" Shinning starts before stopping as he spots Cadence and Flurry. Looking to my bloody hooves, there was nopony else to blame. "W-What did you do to them!?" he yells. I chuckle darkly. "I'm simply filling a request of my former mentor," I reply with ease. "A pure world is a world with no immortals." I say. "Y-Your a monster!!" He yells. I sigh. "Oh Shinning, don't waste your breath. I said all alicorns, I'll be doing this to myself as well," I say. "As you know, Equestria is run by alicorns... Celestia wanted purity, this is why I'm leaving the purest of ponies to take our places. That pony is you Shinning Armor....take care of these ponies..." I say. "That is all I wish." I hug him, feeling him tense and I sigh. "Goodbye..." I say and step away. Taking my own wings into my magic, I do the same that I had done to the rest. I don't scream as I loose my wings... I liked the pain...it made me realize how close I was to being with my friends... Next I knew I couldn't take my horn from my head as I had done for the others. I walk to the wall and smash it against the wall, the last thing I hear is it clink against the crystal floor and the thump as my own body hit the floor. This was the end....This...is it...all my pain...all my suffering....gone at last. I close my eyes and fall into the darkness know as death. THE END Or so you thought.... Waking Up~Twilight's Point of View~ "A-Am I..dead?" I ask myself. I open my eyes to see a hospital room crowded with ponies. "She's awake!" A pony shouts. Was that...Pinkie Pie?? Impossible.... I open my eyes completely to see Pinkie Pie standing over me as many others turned in surprise to look to me. Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack, Fluttershy...Celestia, Luna, Cadence....all of them were here. "Am I dead?" I ask again, aloud this time. Pinkie Pie shakes her head. "No silly!! You've just been asleep for a very very very long time!!" Pinkie giggles. I look over her. "Pinkie...are you....an alicorn??" I ask. She nods and smiles. "Yea! All of us are now!!" Pinkie squeaks. Luna then pushes through and whispers to me. "I've seen your dream from when you were in deep sleep Twilight Sparkle, I fear that it may have made you feel as though you have died. But I assure you, you and your friends are very much alive," she says. "I wished to end your nightmare, but I could not....You had ripped me from the dream completely." I look to her as I feel tears well in my eyes. "You saw all the terrible things I did?" I ask. She nods. "It was only but a dream, you did not do anything of the sort and I know in my heart you never will," she replies softly. I take a shaky breath. "Can we see her yet!?" An annoyed Rainbow Dash calls from behind Luna. Luna nods. "I'll make sure you never have that dream again, now, your friends missed you to much for me to keep you talking with me, I'll be here if you ever need me," Luna whispers. I nod. "T-Thank you Princess.." I say as she steps away. My friends then crowd around the bed. Each of them, all had horns and wings to prove their alicornism. I feel myself start to cry as they hug me tightly. "I missed all of you...so so much" I whisper. "No where as much as we missed you darling," Rarity whispers, tears running down her elegant face. Apple Jack wipes a tear from her eye. "Ya had us so gosh darn worried for ya Twi," she says with a chuckle. "I wasn't worried at all!! I knew she'd pull through!!" Rainbow says confidently. I smile and wipe my own tears away. "H-How long has it been? Why was I sleeping for so long?" I ask. "A little over 10 years now," Pinkie says as she looks at her watch that she didn't have five seconds ago. "O-One of your spells had b-backfired when we w-where fighting against C-Chrysalis..," Fluttershy whispers. I sigh. "I can't believe I've been gone for so long, what did I miss?" I ask. They look to one another. "S-Shinning Armor passed away a year or two back....," Apple Jack says softly. The tears of joy in my eyes became tears of heart-break. I-I wasn't here for even the passing of my own brother... "B-But other than that, Starlight and Trixie are...also gone..." Fluttershy whispers. I sigh and feel myself drowning in my own tears. Rarity wipes them away with a tissue. "They only tell you the bad things darling!! There are so many good things too!!" Rarity huffs. "Like how Rainbow got married to Soarin!" I wasn't here for Rainbow's wedding either.... "And so did I-I...to Discord" Fluttershy whispers. Another thing I missed...I can feel myself start to cry more. "And I and Apple Jack have married each other," Rarity says. "But do you want to know the best part Twilight?" she asks. I sniffle. "Is there a good part to this? I-I missed everything!" I sob. "Why that's not true darling! All of us had agreed five years back that none of us would have our wedding ceremonies or even have foals until you could be there for it" Rarity says. I blink, they had waited...just for me? I could feel my heart, melting in my chest. "Y-You all put your lives on hold...for m-me?" I ask. They all nod. "Of course we did!" Rainbow says. "We didn't want to do anything without you Twilight." They all nod in agreement. "All of us but Spike of course, but he didn't have a choice, Ember needed him. But he'll come as soon as he can once he knows your awake again," Rarity says. I smile happily. Though I didn't have my brother, Starlight, or Trixie anymore..I still had my amazing friends. And right now....that's all I could ever ask for...
So Many Years, And Now I See You Again~Celestia's point of View~ I hear a knock on the door, a heavy knock. I concluded it was only one of the guards and I walk to it and open it. I blink in surprise, Twilight Sparkle... "Twilight! Do come in, the rain is much to heavy for you to stand out there," I say, smiling softly. She huffs hard and narrows her eyes instead of walking in, she stands and lets the hard rain wash over her. "Why didn't you save them!?" She asks. Anger in her voice... I hadn't know Twilight to even be an angry pony... "Whom Twilight my dear?" I ask. She huffs. "You let them die!!!," she screams over the sound of the heavy rain. I blink as realization floods through me....her friends.. "I had to Twilight, I didn't have a choice," I reply. She growls sharply and steps inside, water dripping from her wet mane and body as she narrows her eyes more. "You did have a choice! You wanted me to suffer! You punished me for nothing!," she yells. I flinch. "No my Twilight I would never cause--" I begin, she cuts me off. "You let them die Celestia," she growls. "I'm nothing without them! Equestria is nothing without them!" I shake my head. "That's not true," I say, trying to reason with her. "I cannot cure old age Twilight" She shakes her head stubbornly. "They never had to even get old! You could have let them be like us! But you didn't!!," she yells. Her screaming had caught the attention of the guards. My ears fall. "I'll make you suffer just like you did to me!!!" she screams and lunges at me. I flinch and squeeze my eyes shut, awaiting for the pain she was hoping to bring to me. But it never came. I open my eyes to see her struggling against the guards as they take her away. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS CELESTIA!!! I'LL KILL YOU IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!!" she howls in rage. I watch them take her. She wasn't Twilight Sparkle anymore....I didn't recognize this pony...she was....different now. And it was all my fault....
Twilight Sparkle, Princess of MourningSitting in front of the large window of my castle I sigh. I'd sit here often, watch the little ponies play with their friends... I use to have friends like that.... but.... I lost them to old age... Fluttershy, Apple Jack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, then Pinkie Pie... Spike of course was still alive, yet he was much to large to be in Ponyville anymore... He lived with Ember in the Dragon Lands. He was a ruler now, he didn't have time for me.... Starlight....died as well. She was the first to go... After her death....Trixie took her own life to be with her best friend. I've tried to do the same... it's why I had a number of scars nowadays. Attempt after attempt, spell after spell...I just healed after a few hours of deep pain. The pain didn't bother me anymore though, I was use to it. Nothing hurt more than my aching heart. Loneliness was hard to deal with. I just want to die already!! But alas, when do I get what I want... Well I best get to work on that letter.. Dear Princess Celestia, By now you have reluctantly realized after all these years, I have the same thing to say. I have made no friends and have learned nothing about friendship today. My letters have been short, but they say all I need to say... I know you may still not answer my question. Yet I ask it again for the thousandth time. Is there anyway to kill an immortal princess? Your Faithful Equal, Twilight Sparkle I watch as the letter wisps away. I had asked her the same question every year around my birth date as an alicorn. I don't know why it was always around this time... But... I do ask...every year. This would be my thousandth year as an alicorn, I still never got my answer.
