Location Canterlot

Time 12:17 P.M

As we approach Canterlot I can't help but to feel worried that this huge city is dangling off a cliff. Looking at the ponies it seems that they're fine with the city that is dangling off a cliff. I've seen a lot in the short time since I've been here and to my conclusion ponies are insane. As we get closer I can see the palace. It is very pinkish with two towers at the opposite sides. The main building is a couple stories high, but it was big. Like huge. At least two times bigger than the pentagon and makes the NCR capital house look like a shack, granted the capital house is mostly a glorified scrap shelter but still. The cart lands in a garden in the middle of the palace. The landing was a bit ruff and since I was in the middle with nothing to grab onto I hit my head on the front of the cart. Laughter followed with a grumbling me hopping out of the cart.

"See Wolf the flight wasn't that bad at all." Celestia sweetly says stepping out of the cart while Luna is on her back laughing.

*Snort* "Hahaha the sound his helmet made when he hit the side." Luna laughs out as I just grumble profanities at her.

Celestia rolls her eyes. "Don't mind her. If you would please follow me to where you'll be staying." She says as she walks inside. I glare at Luna and while I was passing by the Pegasuses they both wink at me. I blankly stare at them and do the I'm watching you motion. One of them is confused and the other gulps and turns her head. When I catch up to Celestia she talks again. "I hope you don't mind sharing the room with Misty. It felt wrong putting her alone in a room with what happened."

"It's fine ma'am. Did they find any of her family?" I ask her.

Celestia sighs and shake her head. "Sadly no. Her relatives have gone missing except a foal that is her cousin and he's still a baby. So we hit a dead end." We walked in silence for a while. My eyes wander the palace. Maids rush by to go about there duties and we pass an occasional guard standing watch. The inside is beautiful so far with nice clean white halls and mosaic windows. The guards still stay stoic but the maids would look at me with awe and whisper among each other. I didn't pay attention to them since they didn't say anything bad. Celestia stops at a door and turns to me. "Hear is where you'll be staying. Misty is already inside with Swift Duster who'll be your maid for your time here."

I look at Celestia. "Why are you doing all this for me. Why not just leave me alone to wander like I was doing?" I ask her.

Celestia looks at me. "Straight to the point type of pony?" She asks. I nod my head in return.

"Where I come from if you don't say anything straight there's usually a deadly catch." I say to her.

She nods her head in return. "For a couple of reasons why. One you saved my little ponies, two your a wild card that worries me, Three like it or not your technically a representative for you country now, Finally an ally."

"Thanks for being honest ma'am. If innocent people are at risk then I'll help. It's always been a rangers job to protect people even if where part of the NCR now. What about Misty though? I know your doing a lot of stuff that you don't normally do. " I ask her as I go to open the door.

Celestia sighs. "It's true. I don't get involved in cases like this since we have ponies who can handle it but a filly's entire family just gone with no trace, that's a call for concern and since she trusts you. It'll be good to keep you close to her."

"I understand." I say to her.

She just Smiles her motherly smile and says. "Dinner is at six and be ready to meet more ponies. Just ask Swift Duster to take you there when it's time."

I salute her and say "Ma'am."

Celestia nods her head at me. "See you at dinner Wolf." She turns and walks away as I open the door.

Inside I see Misty's tan coat and teal hair. She's playing with a light brown earth pony maid with a brown mane and a small feather duster for a cutie mark. "And around you go!" Swift says as she lightly spins with Misty. I just watch since Misty is having a good time. Swift stops spinning when she sees me. "O. How long where you there for?"

"Just walked in ma'am. Ranger Wolf." I say to her as she puts Misty down.

"WOLF!" Misty yells as she jumps up at me. I quickly catch her.

"Hey Misty how have you been?" I ask her as I hug her.

"I've been okay so far." She quietly says as she hugs back. "I missed you." She sniffles out.

I continue to hug her as Swift smiles at us. "She wouldn't stop talking about you since I asked about you. I'm Swift Duster by the way. Your maid for your time here." Swift said.

I walk over with Misty to the bed and sit down with her. "Nice to meet you ma'am." I say to her as Misty cuddles up with me more.

Swift gives me a courtesy bow. "Pleasure to meet you. I'll let you to have some alone time. Bye Misty." Swift says as she nuzzles Misty.

Misty Nuzzles back and says. "Bye miss Swift." Swift smiles and leaves us alone.

"So do you like Swift? I ask her.

Misty nods her head. "Yes. I was scared at first since it was only the guards but miss Swift showed up and was super nice to me."

"Well we'll have to do something nice for her than." I say. I set Misty down on the bed. "Hey I'm going to take a shower are you okay by yourself for awhile?"

Misty nods her head. "I'll be okay. Swift left me some books to read."

I walk into the bathroom. "Well I'll try to be fast." Misty nods at me as she picks up a book.

I smile as I close the door. If I get more time with Misty in the future than I think I'm okay with my new life.
