The sun is bearing down on the five of us and we still have two more hours until we reach Appaloosa. The desert is a lot like California's desert with the same plants that somehow grow in the middle of a desert. Near mountains I can understand but its just flat land and I'd be happy looking at it more if it wasn't so damn hot. Speaking of the heat, Braeburn and the sheriff seem fine with it, in fact Braeburn seems to enjoy it. He keeps trying to show off the sweat of his muscles to impress me since he caught me checking him out. I'm flattered and all but hes not my type. Yeah I didn't think like that before but since coming here I learned I was bisexual and have no problem with the different species thing which is another personality change that is happening. It's getting real hard trying to remember some real things about my life before this. I'm broken out of my thinking when Braeburn finishes talking.

"Then Applebloom!" Braeburn looks back to me "Wolf did you listen to any of that?" He tilts his head like a dog would.

Shaking my head at him, "Sorry but no. You just talked about your family for two hours non stop and kept interrupting anyone who tried to say something." He blushes and looks down shamefully. Looking back at Thread Needle he seems to be just staring at me. "What is it doc?"

Looking shocked he stumbles a bit and looks up to me. "Sorry it's just that you are an anomaly." Shacking his head he continues. "I don't mean that in a bad way its just that you a total random creature risks his life to save us and gets hurt in the process...just...just why?" All of them stare at me now even poor Fizz who looks like she's about to die.

Walking over to Fizz Bottle I pick her up she eeps and blushes as I pick her up bridle style . She is really light despite coming up to my lower belly and she's drenched in sweat great. Pulling my coat up over my head so she gets relief from the sun she looks up at me. "You looked like you weren't doing so well. Thought you needed a lift and some water." I pulled out a purified water and gave it to her. 3 Purified Waters left.

"Thank you. You don't have to do this." she stammers out drinking the water like a baby would do. These ponies are just to cute. My heart breaks every time they do something adorable like Fizz Bottle bottle. The way her wet pink hair slowly covers part of her face, her soft coat. Blushing she breaks me out of my daze as I stare at her face which is all scrunched up. "Are you okay?" she asked.

"Just looking at a cutie." She blushes and looks away.

"That's nice and all but are you going to answer my question?" The doc says impatiently.

Sighing we continue to walk as I pet Fizz's hair she also sighs a sigh of happiness. Just so cute. "To answer your question Thread. I'm a ranger for the Republic.. an elite soldier that can handle their own in the toughest of the tough situations." I'm really not but I cant seem to correct myself. "The place I come from is filled with horrors beyond the eye to see. Before We joined the NCR The desert rangers where volunteers out in Mojave protecting the communities that live there. Citizen soldiers you could say." Yet again another lie I say but cant stop it.

"So law bringers than?" Asked Sheriff Star.

"In a sense. We would sometimes act as law men and women but we mostly went out to deal with the threats." Looking at them they all seem to be curious. "How about this we take turns asking question?" They all nod there head. Info time yay. "My turn since the doc asked. where exactly am I?"

"Equestria." Fizz says. Yeah so not earth any more.

"So where is the New California Republic than?" Sheriff star asks. I can't help but sigh.

"Truthfully and I am not lieing, not on this planet. Just woke up here and walked into that Buffalo camp." They all gasp and Fizz squirms a bit. "Relax I'm not here to do horrible stuff to you I just want a way home. If I was do you think I would've done all this for you and I don't know just kidnap ya?" They all laugh and relax. Worry much?

"He is right for an alien that is suppose to foal nap us and prob us he would've beamed us up to his ship already." We all stare at Needle. "Well I've read all of those comics and story's to ya know."

Chuckling at him I say "Calm down doc. It seems our cultures are the same to an extent since we have story's of all that stuff to, besides how can I be certain you all wont do those things to me? Your aliens to me to." Thread goes to speak but Fizz beats him to it.

"Well because you saved us and I wont let anything happen to my knight in shinning armor!" She says a little to excited. She instantly blushes and tries to curl up in my arms to hide.

Leaning my head down to hers I say "Well I got the cute one on my side and my armor isn't shiny." She squeaks an adorable sound and we all laugh. "Back to the questions tho. Is there any one who can help me find a way back home?"

Needle shakes his head. "Sorry but you'll have to try with a pony who specializes in magic or science I'm just a doctor. Maybe some pony can help you out in Canterlot." Well I knew it wasn't going to be easy but hey I tried.

"Don't worry ranger the folks at Appaloosa will gladly help you out for saving us back there." Braeburn smiles at me.

"Don't forget the reward you deserve I'll have to send a letter to the princesses tho so don't go taking off so quick like I know your planning to do." Star said How did he know that I planned to leave as soon as I could. I just now came up with that idea only minutes ago. "You want to know how I know you most likely will? Its easy we get folks like you who roam around places never staying in the same spot for awhile." Well I guess what they say is true elders are always smarter than you make them out to be. But who are these princesses?

Wait is Fizz trying to say something...yes...yes she is. "Are you okay? You just are staring at me again."

I shake my head. "Sorry I just zoned out for a bit there. You wanted to ask something?"

"Yes. I asked if you had a special some pony back at home waiting for you." My mind is instantly filled with an awful vision of the first battle of Hoover Dam, bodies every where, me trying to pull an injured Ellie to safety, her telling me to leave her in the city as we retreated and finally, the town blowing up with her in it. Deep down I know none of that is real but it feels real at the same time.

Tears fall from my eyes as I darkly say "No lost her at the first battle of Hoover Dam. She got shot and if I tried to save her I would've died to." I pulled a photo out of a pocket to show them. It was of me in my armor next to a Burnett first recon sniper girl with ours backs together with rifles raised.

Fizz looks at it with a tear in her eye while the others sadly looks down. "She's beautiful. I Know it means nothing but sorry for your lost." She hugs me as we all stop so we can share in that tender moment.

"Thank you." I say as she smiles at me. But our moment has to get ruined because life hates me.

"So your single?" Asked Braeburn.

We all yell at him.
