Self sacrifice, something heros are known for and often thought as a means to an end. But one such hero who sacrifices himself will not pay the ultimate price. Instead, he shall receive a glorious gift and second chance along with a close friend. Our hero and his trusted friend and guardian shall fight again against new threats that will threaten everything they hold dear in their new life. With nothing but some key items from their past life and the memories on how to properly use them, two creatures both strange yet familiar will always be watchful and vigilant. They will be the new sword to pierce the heart of darkness and the shield to protect the peace.

This story was another one of my many ideas that wanted to be stubborn and create writers block for me when it came to my other stories. So since I couldn't focus on my other stories till I did some work on this story, I figured why the heck not. I'm not sure how far or big I'll go with this story but It'll definitely be a good few chapters at least. For those that are awaiting the next update to any of my other stories don't worry! Once I get a few chapters out for this one I'll have a clear enough mind to focus on them and get a few chapters out for each hopefully.

And with all that said I hope everyone enjoys where this story ends up going, and as always let me know of any missed spelling and/or grammatical errors as they always seem to slip past me when I edit my own work.
