Poison Apples
Applejack is sure a part of the Apple family lives in Hollow Shades, but it's a ruin. She needs to investigate this further, with some help from Twilight, and may come to the conclusion that some branches are better pruned.
There are Apples living in Hollow Shades. Applejack is sure of it. She knows their names, she has letters from them, and Granny has lots of memories of them.
But Applejack has been to Hollow Shades, and she's equally sure that it's an empty ruin, a ghost town.
It doesn't take a genius like Twilight to figure out that one of those statements has to be false. But it might take somepony like Twilight to help Applejack get to the bottom of this mystery.
