Diapered Day: Crystal Empire
“Yes Flurry, I’m Wearing a Diaper Too”
Celestia’s sun gently rose over the horizon, shining its light on the Crystal Empire. Sunlight traveled down the Crystal Palace, passing through the semi-transparent rock lighting up each room with a soft blue glow. The royal apartment, just above the palace throne room, lit up with its own blue glow revealing the rooms owner's still lying in bed.
Shining Armor, awake before the sun had risen, snuck out from under the covers to not wake his poor wife up just yet. Looking over to her side of the bed he saw the covers tossed to the side, only her pillow covering her face as she slept. “You won’t have to worry about a thing today Cady,” he thought pulling the bottom drawer of their dresser open, gathering the supplies he would need.
The previous day had been hard on the Crystal Princess, bickering nobles, preparations for the hippogriff delegation in three days, and final preparations for the Crystal Fair the following week had taken their toll on the alicorn. Adding in that Flurry Heart always wanted either her or Shining’s attention, she was at her limit and was determined to sleep until somepony dragged her out of bed.
Instead of being dragged she instead felt her flank being lifted up in the air before being placed back down on a soft, crinkly, padding. Pulling her pillow off her face, Cadance squinted through her eyes trying to see what was going on. Before she could make out what was happening, she was pushed back down, her butt settling into the open diaper while Shining chuckled from the end of the bed.
“I know you're tired sweetie, but you got to let me get this on you first,” Shining said sprinkling foal powder between her legs. “After this we’ll grab Flurry, get you both fed and then you can relax for the whole day.”
Still hugging her pillow Cadance was trying to think exactly what day it was today, “is it already the second Tuesday this month? Yes! But Shining knows how busy we are!” she thought to herself. “Shining I don’t have time for this tod-“ Cadance began before a pacifier was popped into her mouth.
“Nope,” Shining said pulling the front of the diaper up between her legs, “The only thing you need to do as a princess is watch the rehearsal for the hippogriff parade tonight and you can do that from the balcony.”
Pulling the pacifier out of her mouth Cadance continued her protest, “but a lot of the nobles still need-“
Shining pushed the pacifier back into her mouth holding it with his magic, “The guards and maids know it’s your day off, they won’t let any mean nobles find you” he said fastening the tapes of the diaper.
Laying back on the bed Cadance let out a disgruntled groan as Shining checked how snug the diaper was on her. Even if everything was taken care she shouldn’t be walking around the castle in a diaper so close to so many important events. Before she could voice her disagreement, Shining’s magic rolled her onto her tummy.
“Sorry sweetie, one last tape and then were done.” Shining said making sure her tail was properly fitted before fastening the tape. “Okay, all done honey,” he said pulling her off the bed to rest her hooves on the ground.
Fresh out of bed and with padding between her legs Cadance had to take moment to get her balance, lest she fall onto her cushy bottom. Standing straight, Cadance pulled her pacifier from her mouth to ask, “Shining, is it okay to do this today? I mean, we can do this next week after the Fair can’t we?”
“If I said ‘yes’ would you crawl back into bed until a maid or guard pulled you out?” Shining asked, gathering changing supplies into a diaper bag.
Cadance cast her eyes to the ground, that was what she wanted to do. She was also sure it would take several maids, guards, and Shining to pull her out if she was allowed to.
After stuffing two of her diapers into the bag, Shining walked back over to his wife, “That’s what I thought,” he said pulling the pacifier from Cadance’s magic, putting it in the diaper bag for later. “You need this Cadance, one day off with Flurry isn’t going to be the end of the Empire,” Shining said pulling her close for a hug. “Besides Flurry loves these days, are you going to tell her you wanted to sleep instead of play with her?”
That was true, Flurry loved having another alicorn playmate to play with. Closing her eyes and letting out a sigh, she hugged Shining back. “Okay, but I’m not wearing this during the rehearsal,” she said gesturing to the diaper around her waist.
Breaking the hug Shining smiled, “We’ll see how you do keeping it dry,” he said giving her a kiss on the cheek at the pouty face she gave him. Pulling away Shining headed towards the door calling out, “Go wake up Flurry, I’ll get breakfast ready for us.”
Alone by herself for the moment, Cadance let out a along sigh, “Playing with Flurry will make this day better,” she thought to herself. At the doorway she turned to look at their unmade bed, “Much better then lying in bed all day.” Closing the door behind her, she waddled her way down the hall.
Flurry’s room was right down the hall from their own, the perfect distance if they needed to get to her or if she wanted to sleep in bed with them once she was old enough. The two had also joked that they would be able to hear Flurry sneak out when she was a teenager. For now though, the room was a simple, if not large, nursery with a crib, changing table, and spare bed incase Flurry wanted somepony in the room with her at night.
Waddling into the room Cadance marveled at how the crystal ponies had helped redo the crystals in the wall, adding little trees, clouds and the beautiful heart shaped window. Walking up to the crib in the center of the room she could hear Flurry beginning to wake up. Leaning against the cribs rails Cadance looked down at her little foal, “How are you doing this morning Flurry?”
Flurry spread out her long wings, kicking her legs out at the sight of her mother, “Magbu!” she cried out stretching her little hooves upwards.
“It’s good to see you too sweetie,” Cadance said bringing her daughter up to eye level. Noticing that the little suns on her daughter’s diaper had turned into little clouds overnight she let out a low hum, “Let’s get you changed then we can have breakfast with daddy, okay?” she asked starting to head over to the changing table.
With little effort, Cadance was able to clean and change her daughter in little time with no trouble. With Twilights help and spending time with Flurry, Cadance had figured out how to get her daughter to cooperate. For the most part. Animated rocking horses was still a touchy subject with the Crystal Guard.
Placing Flurry on her back and tossing the old diaper in the trash, Cadance walked out the nursery for the kitchen. Along the way Flurry began to poke at Cadance’s diaper shrieking in joy at how it compressed and crinkled with each prod of her hoof.
“Yes sweetie, I’m wearing a diaper too,” Cadance said blushing that she had said it aloud. She and Shining had started this little relaxation method after they found out she was pregnant as a way to help her deal with stress. After her birth they kept once a month to give Flurry a playmate and keep her stress levels down. Walking into the kitchen the two padded ponies saw Shining set the kitchen table.
Setting down two bowls of oatmeal, Shining watched as Cadance trotted into the room.” I was starting to think you were sleeping with Flurry in her crib” he joked, pulling out a seat next to Flurry’s high chair.
“No, she needed a diaper change is all,” Cadance said setting Flurry in her chair. With her daughter secured she turned to take her own seat. Scanning the table for her spoon to begin eating she realized that there were no utensils for her or Flurry.Looking up to Shining who was taking his own seat across from the two of them she asked, “Shining, where’s my spoon?” half way through the question the two bibs floating toward her and Flurry answered why she wouldn’t be getting a spoon.
Tying a pink bib around Flurry and a larger blue around Cadance, Shining smiled at the defeated look on his wife’s face. “Sorry, I can’t trust two little fillies to feed themselves,” he said pulling out two spoons for them. Pulling a spoonful out of Flurry’s bowl, making sure it was nice and cool, he held it up to his daughter. “Here comes the airship!” he said moving it close to her mouth.
Flurry was quick to eat the oatmeal, giving a little squeal as the spoon was pulled up and out of her mouth.
Laying the spoon besides Flurry’s bowl, Shining turned to Cadance who had been growing progressively redder in the face with all the blushing she was doing. Gathering a spoonful of oatmeal Shining floated it up to Cadance, “here comes a little cloud,” he sang offering it up to her.
Leaning forward Cadance closed the spoon around her lips, letting Shining pull the spoon out her mouth leaving her with the food in her mouth. “Fresh crystal berries,” Cadance though before swallowing. Beside her Flurry let out a cheer for her mother, while Shining smiled bring a second spoonful up to Flurry.
Breakfast continued in this fashion, Flurry excited with each spoonful while Cadance continued to quietly accept her food. With a smaller bowl, Flurry finished her breakfast first, “Sorry Flurry, you have to wait for Mommy to finish, she’s been a little sleepy this morning,” Shining said looking at how much was left in his wife’s bowl, enough for three spoonful’s. Scooping one up he held it up for her, “Here comes a dragon.”
Cadance wasn’t even looking at the spoon as it was brought up to her, too distracted by embarrassment she didn’t see Shining divert the spoons path at the last moment, making it bump against her chin. Glancing down she looked for where the food had landed, the bottom of her bib had a small piece stuck to it but the rest was splattered against her exposed diaper.
Shining was already moving around the table with a washcloth, “See Flurry, your gonna have to really play with her to keep her awake,” Shining said wiping the oatmeal off her diaper. Tossing the cloth onto the table Shining picked the spoon back up, “Two more than were done sweetie,” he said holding another spoonful for her.
“This is happening today,” Cadance thought to herself, “everything will be fine, might as well have some fun,” She though opening her mouth for the spoon. However, as Shining tried to pull it out, she bit down so he couldn’t pull it out.
“Oh, now you’re playful,” he said teleporting the spoon out of her mouth.
Pouting that he had ruined her fun Cadance looked away as the last spoonful was brought up to her, when the spoon was brought up again she turned the other way, avoiding the spoon altogether. She was going to be difficult, like any naughty foal would be.
Pulling the spoon away to avoid her mane hitting it Shining sighed, “Keep this up and you won’t be getting dessert for a week,” he threatened holding the spoon at its original position.
“That’s cheating,” Cadance thought as she turned to let the spoon into her mouth, he would take away her dessert, even at a state dinner if it was within the week. While the spoon was dropped into the now empty bowl she began to get out of the chair, however, before she could stand up Shining’s hoof began probing the front of her diaper. Frozen still, she could only wait for him to finish checking her diaper.
“Still dry? I though you would have gone by now,” Shining said to turning to pull Flurry out of her high chair. Laying Flurry on Cadance’s back he leaned forward to give her a peck on the cheek, “you two go play now, Daddy’s got work to do,” He said grabbing his bag of guard reports and parade route maps. At the door that led to the stairs of their apartment he turned back, “I’ll be back around eleven to get lunch ready, I don’t want to hear about a teddy bear army or the staff falling in love with each other,” he said smiling at the giggle his joke elicited from Cadance.
Turning out of the kitchen Cadance waddled out blushing that Shining hadn’t been wrong in checking her diaper, she did have to pee. “Well that’s what happens when you get diapered before waking up,” she thought entering the Living room. The living room of their home had three couches large enough for all four adult alicorns to comfortably sit on one. In the center of the couches was a crystal coffee table with a miniture crystal heart floating in the center. All the couches faced the large fireplace that would be used on cold winter nights. Besides the fire place was what Shining and Cadance had dubbed “Flurry’s corner” most of her toys, books, and other foalish things were kept there for when she got to play.
Flurry was quick to jump off her mother’s back, without landing she spread her wings and flew off to find something to play with.
Smiling at her daughter's antics Cadance laid herself on one of the couches facing towards Flurry’s corner. After a moment a blue ball covered in a yellow magic glow flew over the opposite couch from the far side of the room. Catching the ball in her own magic, Cadance called out, “Do you want to play catch Flurry? Mommy has to be able to see you.” Shining and Cadance had both agreed that baby talking with Flurry, even on these special days, would not help her development, that was the main reason Cadance didn’t talk like a foal.
The plan seemed to work as Flurry appeared from behind the couch landing on the soft cushion shaking her hooves in the air for the ball. “Woll,” she cried out at Cadance.
“Here you go sweetie,” Cadance sang out as she lobbed the ball in an arc to her daughter.
While Flurry’s hooves were waving up to try and catch the ball, her magic caught it before it came close to her. Suspended above her until the magic ended she caught it in her lap holding it with her wings and hooves.
“Good job Flurry, toss it back now,” Cadance called readying her horn incase the ball came sailing at her. Instead it came back in much the same way as the first toss, a gentle arc to land in front of her.
This pattern continued for almost half an hour, Cadance gently tossing the ball to let Flurry catch it and flurry tossing it back in a variety of ways. Arcing tosses, fast balls, and teleportation were all ways she learned to ‘throw’ the ball but Cadance had to be ready in case the ball suddenly became spider to crawl back over to her.
After catching the ball again above her Flurry let the ball hang there, looking around the room for something else to play with. “She’s bored,” Cadance thought to herself, watching her daughter jump off the couch and trot back off to her play corner. As she left the yellow glow around the ball faded away, however, instead of falling onto the couch the ball floated up to the ceiling.
Watching the ball ascend Cadance called after her daughter, “Was that a gravity spell or did you fill it with helium Flurry?” with the only response being a line of foolish gibberish she made a mental note to have Shining look into the ball.
Looking back over to watch her daughter sort through boxes and baskets of toys Cadance felt a twinge in her bladder informing her that it was time to pee. Glancing over towards the living room entrance she reassured herself that the only other pony in the apartment was Flurry. Glancing down at her white diaper she took a deep breath, “The first time each day is the hardest,” she thought to herself. Lifting her left hind leg up and closing her eyes she relaxed her body and waited for nature to take its course. A moment later her efforts were rewarded as a hot stream sprayed into the diaper, a low hiss could be heard under the sound of Flurry digging through her toy box, for Cadance it sounded like a waterfall. The diapers warmth spread as the urine was forced to spread out before being absorbed by dry pulp.
After what felt like an hour the last few dribbles dropped into the diaper, letting go of the breath she had holding and opening her eyes Cadance inspected the damage. The once white diaper now had a growing yellow stain as it continued to absorb her accident. Her embarrassment at the accident was nothing compared how good it felt to relax while peeing.
“Magbu waluga,” snapped out her daze, Cadance turned to watch Flurry drop a pile of coloring books and crayons onto the ground.
Turning over to lay on her belly, Cadance looked at the gathering of books, “You want to color pictures Flurry?” she asked fanning her wings out to stretch them.
“Waluga,” Flurry said again pushing several books and crayons over to her mother, while also opening a book full of different creature’s book in front of her.
“Ah, you want me to color with you,” Cadance said, pulling herself off the couch to flip through one of the books. Finding a picture of herself, Twilight, and Flurry she held the picture up to Flurry, gesturing to the three ponies she asked, “Flurry, can you tell Mommy who’s in this picture?”
Looking up from her page full of reformed changelings Flurry squealed, “Wiga rry Magbu” she said swatting at the book with each word.
“Good job sweetie,” Cadance said taking the book back, she smiled looking at the three ponies in it, “I’m going to add something before I start coloring,” She said picking up a black crayon.
Over an hour later Cadance had finished her master piece, Crayon Flurry had not changed at all, Crayon Twilight and Cadance however both now sported thick diapers around their waists, fitting for Twilight if stories were true. Looking over to Flurry’s work the pages of mono colored changelings, Thorax was the correct color green but his brother, pharynx, was now a hot pink.
Giggling into her hoof, Cadance looked up to the clock above the fireplace, 10:12 it showed. “Come on sweetie, let’s get you a snack,” she resting her daughter on her back before getting up. After standing and adjusting to her diaper again she let out a small smile, “I forgot I peed myself, didn’t I?” Before she could think more on how good these days were for her, Flurry jumped off her back flying out the living room toward the kitchen.
“Flurry wait for mommy,” she called trying to waddle as fast as she could after her daughter. If these weren’t good days for her health then they were at least interesting for her.

There have been a lot of padded Cadance lately so I decided to write a story similar to them. If there are any mistakes you see let me know, I'd like to improve my writing.
