Can you read me Mane 6? Please respond! Whats wrong? What happened? Please respond!" "Shit. They're not picking up." Officer Sunblane said, switching channels to Princess Celestia's radio. "Have you gotten to them yet?" She said as soon as the line opened. "Well.. Not yet, and I kinda losing hope.." He said, looking down. He glanced at the transmitter. "Don't you dare loose hope now! Keep trying, if they don't answer in an hour, then I'll make sure that a search team goes out. Now if you don't mind, I have a war to handle." She shut the line. Sunblane sighed, he stared at the communication relay. His eyes wondered around the room. He saw the posters he had put up of the Wonderbolts. The mech figurine that he had on his desk. It was hard to build that, especially because it was made for unicorns and he was a pegasus. It was hard to believe in the Wonderbolts ever since they turned into a bombing squad. To bad Rainbow Dash didn't get to join that either. She was in Mane 6. The sounds of gunfire and explosions rang out. He looked over at the window to see the soldiers training. We all have been going hungry since most of the ground is covered by tenzes. The Tenzes are machines that gather materials that make robots and mechs. They only grab those materials, nothing else. We have farms, but they were bombed and nopony is willing to fix them. Sunblane then turned toward the console, grabbed the transmitter paper, and tuned in onto the Mane 6 line. After a good 30 minutes, he decided to give up. He leaned back in his chair. Just before he turned it off, static came in, from the Mane 6 line. He sat straight up and turned the tuner. "Need........Help.....Plea.......ther.....no...time.....Atta.....mos.......dead......s.e....righ.....awa......plea......no......sol..tion...." It tuned out. Shit! He tried and tried to find the signal again, but it was useless. He changed channels back to Celestia's. "Have you found something!?" She said. "Yes! It was filled with static but some words were able to come out." "Finally! I'm sorting a search team right now, you'll be part of it." "Wait me? But-" "There are no buts to be made. It has been decided by me and my sister." He remembered how Princess Luna was still out fighting. "Yes ma'm." He closed the channel and went to his quarters. His first mission outside of the base! He grabbed his backpack and handgun. He flew towards the loading bay. "ALL PONIES ON THE LIST FOR THE SEARCH AND RESCUE MUST REPORT. SUNBLANE, NIMBLE TAIL, CLOUD SWEEPER, MIDNIGHT, AND STAR FACADE." He arrived at the loading bay, getting into the transport vehicle. It was full with weapons. He sat down, staring at all of the guns on the walls. The ponies assigned the mission started to come in. They all sat down, one by one. The engine started. ... Nopony said anything. It was silent. Sunblane started to breath heavily. What is they can't find them? What if- "You okay?" Nimble Tail asked him. He hadn't realized that everpony was staring at him. "Y-yea, I guess." They all looked down at the floor. "ALMOST TO THE LAST PLACE WHERE THE MANE 6 WAS REPORTEDLY SEEN, PREPARE TO GET THE HELL OUT IN 10 MINUTES!" Twilight Sparkle walked over to her mech. It was completely functional, except the communication relay was damaged and it was covered in sand. She stared at it. It looked defeated, broken, dead. She climbed into the cockpit, turning on the main systems. It was at least 15 minutes since her last transmission. She hoped that Princess Celestia got it. There was no time to waste. Her entire team was wiped out by one big Crystal army group. Or, thats what she thought. She couldn't find any of her friends nor teammates. She had lost all hope. The cockpit door shut, all the monitors turning on. She grabbed the pushed the handles with her hooves. The mech started to stand, the sand falling off of it. The main camera turned on, making it easier to see. It stood up. She looked around. Just a vast desert with a forest back to the South. She started to head there. The only reason her and her friends split up was because of the Crystal Army team that shot down their flying transport carrier, causing them to have to jump. They all got separated. The mach made a motoring noise as it walked, creaking. It had been under the sand for a few days. She hid it from sight so that the Crystal army wouldn't find her. The mech entered the forest, causing trees to fall around it. The sight of sunlight shimmering through the trees' leaves made her smile. She stopped her mech, enjoying the sight for one brief moment. Wait. What was that? The sound of a tree falling in a distance made Twilight freeze. The mech crouched down near a gigantic tree. Twilight pulled the binocular like scope near her face. Her hoof hovered over the trigger. The mech's gun-planted arm rose. Another tree fell down. She heard that one. She pointed the gun-mounted arm towards that direction. ........ A shot went straight past her mech and hit a nearby tree. The mech jumped up, using thrusters to propel itself left. Twilight spotted the mech in an area full of trees. She pulled the trigger. The gun started to fire, hitting trees close to the other mech. It started to run sideways, still aiming at her. She followed it. The gun stopped firing. She removed the scope from her face and checked the status of the mech. The gun had jammed. She started to run forward. The other robot had started to charge her, pointing it's gun straight at her mech. Her mech pulled out a heat ax, warming it up and swinging at the enemy. It struck the right shoulder, making it stumble backwards. She pulled it back out, swinging for the torso. It hit the stomach of it, causing hydraulic fluids to pour out. The enemy mech struggled to compensate what was going on. It started to stepped backwards. Twilight took the barrel of the gun and shoved it straight into the cockpit. The mech stiffened, then went boneless. She pulled out the gun, the enemy falling on the ground. She had killed one, but how many were really out there? Author's Note Hello! If you have seen my Gundam fic, you know that I like mechs and that kind of stuff. Well I'll be focusing on this story, putting Gundam on a hiatus for a while. Well anyway, I hope you all enjoyed! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two The Find //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two The Find Twilight was still looking for her friends. She walked through the forest, looking through the trees. She put the scope back up to her eyes, looking around. Then she saw something. Zooming in, she saw a mech, covered in vines and moss. She put the scope away and walked toward it. The mech was propped up on a large tree, cock pit opened and it looked abandoned. She kneeled down and walked out of her mech and towards the dead robot. She grabbed her machete out of the sheath and started to cut away the vines. She cut way some moss to reveal a cloud and rainbow thunder. it was Rainbow Dash's mech! Twilight gasped and immediately trotted towards the hatch. She peered inside to reveal an empty chair. The monitors were broken and there was dry blood stains on the chair. She stepped out and looked at the robot again. She saw bullet holes that she hadn't noticed before. Twilight climbed back into her mech and started to walk off. KA-POW. A bullet hit her mech, causing her to duck for cover. The shot had come up from the trees. She pulled her scope again and looked around she saw a blue blur go by. Sunblane had picked up an assault rifle and her the sounds of mortar shells going off near them. "What the hell is going on?!" Cloud Sweeper yelled, the transport shaking like crazy. The transport took a sharp right and avoided the enemy fire. "YA'LL BETTER GET READY!" The driver yelled. All of them grabbed the weapons on the wall. Midnight's horn glowed, grabbing two LMGs off the wall. "Shit, THEY'VE DUG TRENCHES! WERE HEADING FOR THE FOREST!" The transport swerved again. All the ponies inside were knocked against a wall. The rumbling of the bombs continued. "WE ARE ALMOST TO THE FOREST! HANG O-" BOOM. ........ Sunblane woke up to see the front of the transport stuck in the ground. He got up, examining the area. The back of the transport was opened as well. He grabbed his rifle off the floor with his wing and walked out. "*Cough* *cough* Sun..blane." Sunblane turned to see Star Facade under the rubble, clinging to life. He walked toward him. "W-what should I do?" Not having any experience outside his office, he was panicking. "Move aside." Midnight walked up to Star Facade, her horn glowing. She started to lift up the wreckage of the transport, grunting. "Hurry! get him!" Sunblane dove down and pulled out Star Facade. Midnight let go of the metal and gasped for air. Cloud Sweeper came out of the wreckage, hearing the calamity outside. He saw Star and ran straight back in. He came out with the medical supplies. He crouched down, focusing on Star Facade. Sunblane looked up into the sky. He spread his wings to fly but his wing hurt. He looked back to see that a part of his wing was burnt. Now that he noticed, it hurt like hell. He grimaced in pain while Midnight looked around. "With the communication relay destroyed, we can't contact HQ. We'll have to continue without the princess knowing our whereabouts." Sunblane looked around. "Wait, where s Nimble Tail?" The pegasus had disappeared after the crash. They seemed to have been flung by the explosion into a deep part of the forest. The sound of large steps and gunfire were in the distance. Sunblane went back into the wreck to find the survival kit. He looked for a while until he saw the flare gun. He took it in his mouth and walked out. Midnight walked into the forest, leaving behind the wreckage. "We better leave here soon, they could be coming any minute." She said, looking back at the group of ponies. She saw Sunblane come out of the transport and point his head into the sky, the flare gun in his mouth. She trotted over to him and knocked it out of his mouth. The gun fired into the ground. "What the hell do you think your doing?!" She yelled in his face. "Why did you do that?" Sunblane replied. "Its almost sundown and we are in enemy territory. What do you think I was doing?" "Well-" "I was stopping you from firing that flare! You know what that would have done?" "Umm-" "That would have given away our position! Do you think that those bastards back at base would have seen the flare?!" She was fuming. Sunblane backed down, stepping back. Midnight sighed. "Look, I know this is your first mission out, but you need to think from time to time. Analyze the situation." She walked off. "Well, Star Facade's condition is stable, but we wont get far without some kind of way of fast transport." Cloud Sweeper stood up, putting the contents of the med-kit away. Sunblane gazed into the forest. They may die out here. Twilight tried to chase the blue blur with her eyes. She opened her hatch, stepping out. "Kill me if you must! If you are a friendly, come down!" Twilight yelled, closing her eyes. Silence. She waited and waited. "Twilight?" She opened her eyes to a familiar sight, yet pleasing to the eyes. Rainbow Dash was hovering right in front of her. She started to tear up. "Twilight! Dammit your making me cry.." Rainbow hugged her. A stray tear rolled down Twilight's face. They let go of each other. Twilight got back into her mech. Rainbow got on top of it. They both walked through the forest. "Twilight wait..." Rainbow pulled out her binoculars."There's smoke to the east!" Twilight turned, looking that direction. There was indeed a plume of smoke rising. She started to head towards it. Rainbow flew off into the trees. The mech crashed through the trees, closing in on the smoke. Sunblane looked around. Birds flew up from the trees. He could hear the crashing of trees and the thumping of feet. "EVERYPONY, GET DOWN!" They all dove into the the wreck, Cloud Sweeper dragging Star Facade into it. The crashing stopped. It was silent. A blue pegasus appeared. "Celestia friendlies?" She pointed a 9mm at them, sniper rifle on her back. Midnight nodded. "Twilight, they're friendlies!" "Wait, Twilight Sparkle?" "Yeah." Sunblane's eyes lit up. They finally found them! "We were the search party looking for you guys!" He said, walking out. They had finally found them. But what lay in front of them? Well anyway I hope you guys enjoyed! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 - Sudden Realization //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 - Sudden Realization The group of ponies continued their venture into the enemy lines. "Shouldn't we be going back to base?" Sunblane said, feeling extremely paranoid. "We never leave any one behind. That includes the rest of Mane 6 and Nimble Tail." Midnight replied. They walked through the forest. "Wait, what is that?" Rainbow pulled out her binoculars. "What the fuck?" There were jumping figures heading toward them. "ENEMY SPOTTED!" "ATTACK!" The figures started to shoot at them. Everyone ducked for cover but Twilight pointed her gun at them. She shot off a few rounds, one hitting one and it exploded. Sunblane crouched down behind a tree. He started to hyperventilate. He had never been in a combat situation before. "What the hell are you doing?" Midnight was right beside him, shooting. "Its like training!" "But you can die this time!" "You have to be willing to sacrifice for comrades! Now shoot!" Sunblane turned, holding his gun. He aimed at one of the figures that was on Twilight's mech. He fired of a few shots. The figure fell off, exploding. They fended off the figures until they ran. "RETREAT!" The all jumped away. Now that they were gone, the ponies could examine the figures better. Rainbow stared at one. "They're making cyborgs?" Everypony looked at her. "No, that's impossible, right?" Cloud Sweeper was unsure about Rainbow's statement. "Why else would they just explode once we shot them?" Rainbow looked up to face Cloud Sweeper. They started to advance deeper into enemy territory. The sun was completely down now and they had Night vision [NV] goggles on. "Wait, what is that in the distance?" Twilight pulled up her scope and looked through it. She saw an enemy outpost. "Enemy outpost straight ahead!" She yelled. An enemy mech was patrolling the outskirts of the outpost. "Guess those cyborgs spread the word." Rainbow said, a grin slowly growing on her face. They started to advance slowly, watching the towers. "You guys will have to go in, I can't leave the mech out here." All of the ponies except for Twilight approached the base, staying near the walls. They all gathered near a large gate. Rainbow made some hoof signals and Midnight moved forward. All the others stayed behind as Midnight scaled the walls. She climbed into a tower, knocking out the soldier in it. Rainbow took out her sniper rifle and shot the other soldiers in the towers. Sunblane turned around. "The mech is coming back!" He whispered, waiting his inevitable doom. He saw a few flashes of light and large sounds. He saw Twilight fighting it, pulling out her heat ax and hitting the enemy mech. The rest invaded the camp, shooting at any soldier they could find. Sunblane arrived at the radio transmitter, killing the pony manning it. He did the smart thing and shot the radio. He moved on. "Hey look what I found!" Cloud Sweeper exclaimed pointing at an armory. Rainbow and Midnight ran into there as soon as possible. They looked around. "P-F139 Body Plated Armor! Made for tanking bullets." "X-574 3 hoof cannon!" They both said the names of everything in the armory, spreading their knowledge. "Wait a minute..." Midnight looked at a rack of grenades. "This can't be right." Rainbow turned around to see what she was looking at. She gasped. "FR-3674/001 Type Rainbow Gas!?" She yelled. "Seems so." Midnight looked at her. "That stuff was outlawed when Discord used it in the Second war of Calamity!" "There hasn't been any reports of what it does since they had everypony retreat when they used it. No pony survived." "Why is it here?" Rainbow was almost on the ground. Sunblane walked away, trying to get his mind off the thought. "Grab all the things you can, no smoke grenades though, they could be filled with the gas." Sunblane was already in another area. He looked into a room and saw something. "GUYS COME QUICK!" All of them rushed there. "What is it?" They saw in the middle of the room was Nimble Tail. He had disappeared after the crash and captured. "Nimble are you okay?" He looked like hell. "Y-yeah, just beaten the shit out of, but nothing serious." He said, barely being able to stand up. "Its been a long time!" Cloud Sweeper said, hugging him. Meanwhile, Twilight was still fighting the enemy mech. She swung the ax into it's side. "Just go down already!" She yelled, severing it's gun mounted arm. It pulled out a heat sword and hit the mech's shoulder, making it crouch down. "I'm not done yet!" She yelled, smashing into the enemy's generator, it blowing up. Her mech was flung backwards, airbags deploying. She smashed down onto the ground. Twilight got out of her mech, examining it. There was no way this thing would survive the rest of their mission. She walked back over to her teammates. "Hey! The mech got busted, don't worry! Star Facade is fine... I think." She trotted back over to her mech, opening a secret compartment that held Star Facade It was on the same shoulder that was damaged. She looked in. "Oh no." "What?" " I think he died from the intense heat." They buried him, not having time to give a proper goodbye. "Also, Twilight we found another mech for you." Rainbow said, leading her towards it. Twilight looked up, her eyes lighting up in awe at the majestic humanoid mech. She took the elevator up, climbing into the cockpit. "Wow! This one handles a lot better than the one I had." She disconnected the pipes on it forcefully, Walking forward. "ATTACK!" A scream rang out. More cyborgs came over a hill, jumping down. They shut the gates, stopping them from going any further. Nimble Tail grabbed some grenades. "Go! Run! I'm to injured to make the journey into enemy territory!" "But Nimble Tail!" Sunblane yelled. "GO!" He yelled, pulling the pins off of all the grenades with his mouth. He limped toward the gate. "Even though I didn't get to know you guys well enough, I thank you. I didn't want to die alone. I Wanted to die an honorable way. A way that would be saving my friends." He thought in his mind, the last seconds of the grenades ticking off. "I'll be with you soon Star Facade!" The grenades going off, killing him and many of the cyborgs. The group ran the opposite way, trekking deeper into enemy territory. Suddenly, another humanoid mech came out of the sky, charging at Twilight. She grabbed for a hilt on the backpack, a beam blade revealing itself. "Beam tech?" She said, swinging at the enemy. The enemy mech had them too, swinging and slashing, They hit each other, emitting a large amount of energy and light. They separated, releasing the ball of energy, pushing them back. They fought until the enemy came really close to Twilight's mech's body, the beams almost touching it. " Are there any ranged weapons on this thing?" She said, pressing the trigger button. A small minigun on the chest fired, forcing the enemy to back away. They jumped back into the walls of the base, Twilight seeing a gun in the corner of her eye. She grabbed it, firing at the other mech. It flew away, retreating along with the cyborgs. Twilight's mech fell onto it's knees, Twilight sweating. The sun started to rise as the gang left the area. Luna's front at Ponyville had just broke through Cadence's forces, only to be greeted by her cyborg creations. Celestia had heard that the transport was found, she lost hope of ever finding the Mane 6 again. She still pushed her forces into the Everfree Forest, making a flank onto Cadence's forces at Ponyville. The Crystal Empire's resources were running dry, experimenting and making cyporgs and mechs. Our friends have just entered the vast winter area that will lead to the Crystal Empire. The gang had gotten rid of another look out base, grabbing a mech transport. Twilight was finally able to get out of a mech. She sat down, relaxing and falling asleep. Most of them needed sleep. Sunblane laid back into his chair. He thought deeply about past events. 2 teammates dead, a lot of enemies dead. He closed his eyes and fell asleep. Midnight put the transport on auto drive and dozed off. ***** Sunblane woke up, still thinking about their past ventures. The sight of Nimble Tail sacrificing himself to let them go on. They had only just found him. Star Facade's grave, covering him in dirt... All these things still haunted him. He shuddered. Sunblane looked out the windshield. He could see moving things in the snow, kicking it up as they traversed through it. He tried to see through the blizzard. He sat in the passenger seat and looked through his binoculars. "H-hey! Midnight!" He shook her awake. "What?" She said, grabbing the controls. She looked up ahead. "There are mechs sliding through the snow!" "Wait what!?" She looked closer. "What th- Everyone wake up!" She yelled, everyone stirring. Twilight looked through the windshield and stepped back to her mech. "Twilight don't go yet. They may not see us." They all froze, Midnight stopping the transport. The mechs glided towards them, kicking up snow. Midnight put the transport in a position where the mechs were on higher ground. They flew right over them, covering them in snow. The gang waited until they couldn't hear the mechs. "We must be getting close." Cloud Sweeper said. Sunblane got out of the passenger seat and let Rainbow sit down in it. She checked the radar. "They're gone, lets go." The transport moved forward, the snow coming off. Suddenly, the two gliding mechs turned around, aiming at the transport. "You really think you're getting away?!" "We'd like to see you try!" The pilots yelled, shooting at the transport. Twilight ran into her mech, activating it and tearing off the cloth that covered it. The two enemies stared in disbelief. Twilight grabbed the beam blade from the back and turned it on. Just as one passed by, she kneeled down, slicing right through it's waist. the top fell over, the legs still gliding. They exploded. Twilight turned to see the other mech tossing it's gun away, pulling out a heat sword and positioning it above the transport. "DIE DAMN CELESTIAN SOLDIERS!" Twiliht jumped over to the mech, cutting it's arms off and pushed it down. She turned off the beam and held the hilt up to the cockpit. "Step out of the vehicle NOW!" Twilight yelled, hovering the mech's hand over the activation of the sword. The cockpit of the enemy's mech opened, the pilot stepping out. The group ran out of the transport, guns up. The pilot took off his helmet, placing it on the ground. They held up their guns, Midnight putting her's down and stepping forward. She walked around the pilot, putting her gun to his back. "Go forward into the transport. Do not try anything. We will kill you immediately." She shot a glance at Sunblane. They all went into the transport. They sat the pilot down, interrogating him. "Who are you!?" Midnight yelled. "Lieutenant Steel 'The Mace' Moon! 145th Team, 7th Squadron!" Steel yelled. "Why are you called 'The Mace'?" "I have gotten 327 melee kills!" "Why are you in this region and not out fighting?" "General Cadence said that melee work isn't need in this part of the war!" "Where is the main base!?" "Its 500 meters north from here. Wait.. you don't plan to attack them right now do you?" "That is none of your business, now what is the conditions of your main base?" "Most of our soldiers are out fighting in Ponyville but there are still about 500 soldiers left at the base!" "We can take them. For now, you can stay with us, if you try and kill us, you are out numbered. Don't try it." She glared at him. He swallowed, a bead of sweat going down his face. "Alright Lets get moving." The transport drove deeper into enemy territory, the storms getting more harder. They traveled for hours, finally finding the Crystal Empire. They went near one of the walls, climbing up and looking into the city. Twilight looked through her binoculars, staring through the city. "It's not really an 'empire' anymore..." She said, looking in despair. "I know that their our enemy but you can't help to be sorry for them." She said, seeing the ponies in pain and clearly malnourished. Some could barely walk. Something caught her eye. She looked to her right, seeing Princess Cadence walk out onto her balcony. She looked bad. Very bad. She looked like she hadn't slept or ate in forever. She started to cough. "Twilight get down here! We have a plan!" Twilight climbed down. "Alright, here's the deal. First Steel will walk into the town, saying he completed his mission. If anything seems suspicious, Rainbow shoot him from up there. After he goes into the base, he will grab a mech, attacking the rest of the base. Twilight will come in, taking the rest of the attack. Then Sunblane, Cloud Sweeper, Rainbow Dash, and I will rush the castle, confronting Cadence. Is that clear?" Midnight explained. "Yes ma'am!" They said in unison. Steel started to enter the empire, disappearing into the army base. Steel walked into the base, getting many greetings. "Hey Mace!" "Whats up Mace?" "Its The Mace!" Ponies said as he went to the hanger. He contemplated if he should actually betray his team, his allies, and his leader. He went to the elevator and went up. He walked towards a huminoid mech, standing in front of the cockpit. He stared at it for a while. Should he? He stepped in, closing the hatch. He activated the mech, walking forward and cutting the cords connecting to the mech. He could heard yells down below. "The mech's moving!" "What the hell?!" "Mobilize, now!" Steel grabbed an automatic beam weapon off the wall. He stepped out of the hanger, turning around and shooting the mechs inside. He saw them explode in front of him, the roof collapsing. All of the ponies in the town were running into their houses. A mech flew out of the hanger, it's arm missing. He shot it down, a ball of flame falling onto the ground. He dropped tossed Twilight the weapon as she flew into the town. He reached into the rubble and pulled out a machine gun. He shot at the soldiers running around. Have a great day! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 A Turn //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 A Turn Just before our heroes had raided the Crystal Empire, Cadence had ordered the use of the type FR-3674/001 Rainbow Gas in Ponyville since their front was weakening. Many of the ponies there died, especially Cadence's troops. This allowed Celestia's and Luna's troops to go through the war zone, only in air tight vehicles due to the Rainbow Gas. As the war goes on, the situation at the Crystal Empire worsens. News of Shining Armor's army squadron is that they have started to give up, bases surrendering. Twilight shot up a communications tower, cutting off any wish for help. Steel Moon secured the perimeter, shooting at anything coming close. Twilight checked her mech's status, fixing some problems. Suddenly, her monitor had an arrow pointing up. She took control of her mech, looking up. The mech she fought earlier landed in front of her, pulling out a beam blade. She stepped back, throwing away her gun. She pulled out her beam blade and went into a jumping stance. The mech charged at her, their beam blades colliding. They stared at each other, getting really close. The mech kicked Twilight's leg, pushing her forward. The other mech stepped to the side, Twilight's mech falling onto the ground. She turned around to look at the enemy mech. She stood back up, turning her blade back on. The enemy shot it's machine guns at her. She stumbled backwards, jumping into the air. The mech jumped too. Going seriously close to her mech. The mech punched her back to the ground. Steel looked back, seeing them fight. He turned and aimed at the enemy mech. He shot at it, missing by inches. The mech looked at him, flying at him. He stepped back, dropping the gun. He unsheathed his heat sword, preparing to stab it. Twilight fell onto the ground, looking as the mech jumped over her. Steel held his position. The enemy mech held his beam sword with both of it's hands. He pushed up his sword, aiming for the cockpit. The mech moved, the sword stabbing into it's shoulder. The enemy stabbed Steel's body, hitting the part beside the mech's head. Steel pulled out the sword out of the mech's shoulder, swinging at it's head. "YOUR NOT GETTING AWAY!" Twilight yelled, swinging her beam at the enemy. It took out another beam, blocking her attack. The mech kicked back Twilight again, Steel's swing missing. The mech turned at Steel, putting both blades toward his chest. Steel tried to jump backwards, still getting caught. Both of the blades hit the torso, tearing at the armor. Steel grabbed the right arm of the mech, trying to pull it off. He crushed the elbow joint as the beams tore into the body. He tore off the arm, tossing it away and running to the left. "Twilight, I need your help!" He said, Twilight outside of her vehicle. "I'm sorry! The circuits are fried and I can't move the legs!" She said, trying to fix it. "Can't you use some kind of magic to move the legs?" "I know I may have lifted an Ursa Minor out of Ponyville, but controlling the mech, stressing about dying, and holding the mech up with magic? No way." She replied, focusing on the control panel. "Can you use the arms still?" "Yeah." "Grab the gun on the ground there! Hurry!" Twilight looked at the gun near the ground. She crawled into her mech. She reached for the gun, grabbing it and looking at the enemy. The mech turned around, seeing Twilight aim at it. It turned back at Steel, throwing it's sword at him. He tried to jump out of the way, the mech struggling to move. "Dammit, MOVE!" He yelled, pushing the controls around. The mech stiffened, the sword hitting right above the cockpit. "TWILIGHT!" Steel yelled. Twilight was still trying to repair the circuit, leaving the gun to auto aim. She heard the noise that it had locked onto something and shot. She hit Steel's head, his mech falling onto a wall. "What are you doing?!" He yelled. "I had it on auto aim as I was fixing th- Its done!" She replied. Her mech stood up, dropping the gun. The mech turned at Steel, shooting up the cockpit with it's body gun. She looked at the mech in rage. She let out a war cry, charging at the mech. It swung at her, missing. She punched it in the face. Twilight then pinned it to the ground, punching the head. She had destroyed the main camera. She crushed the other arm, making the mech immobile. She stood back up. Twilight headed towards Steel's mech. "Steel? Steel?" The comms had cut out. She held her mechs hand up to her and Steel's cockpit. She opened the cockpit manually. "Steel!" She yelled, looking at him. His eyes were closed, blood all over the seat. She carried him out of the cockpit, putting him in her's. "I hope that the rest of the group are doing better." She mumbled. Rainbow, Midnight, Sunblane, and Cloud Sweeper ran through the halls of the castle, clearing every room as they went on. The ran up the staircase leading to Princess Cadence's room. They went up only to find the hallway that went to Cadence's room was covered in guards. "Alright here's the deal." Rainbow said, whispering."We need to take out these guards silently. Get you silencers on" All of them screwed on their silencers. Rainbow pulled out her pistol, shooting them in the head. The proceeded, still checking the rooms. Cloud opened one of the doors, shots suddenly coming out. "Holy shit!" He grunted, shutting the door immediately. "Stay down." Rainbow said, crouching down and looking at Cloud. "Anything serious?" She whispered. "Doesn't look like it. A small gash on the arm though.." He said, lifting his hoof off his fore leg. "Stay back, we'll take care of this." Cloud limped over to a corner, pulling out his medical supplies. Rainbow made a signal with her hoof, Midnight planting C4 on the door. They all stepped back, the explosive going off. "Flash, now!" A flash grenade flew into the room, voices yelling. The three ran into the room, shooting every pony they saw, some soldiers shot randomly, others didn't look at the flash. They fought, shots ricocheting everywhere. A few bullets hit Midnight. She staggered, finding her balance. They killed the rest, the room growing quiet. Midnight fell onto the floor, coughing up blood. "Oh my Celestia!" Cloud yelled, crouching down to help her. "Alright, that's the last room." Rainbow said, staring at the door. "Will she make it?!" Sunblane whispered, sitting down beside Cloud. "I think so, though her recovery will be slow..." "Sunblane, escort Cloud and Midnight out of here." "What about you?" "I'll be fine on my own." "N-no....." Midnight said, her voice rough. "I want to.." She got up, standing beside Rainbow. "I want to see the end.. of this." She said, leaning on Rainbow for support. "But you haven't gotten the right medical treatment! You need to come outsi-" "I'm not going nowhere, until I see that son of a bitch behind that door, DEAD." "Alright. At least let me give you bandages." Cloud said. Midnight turned towards him, limping to him. Rainbow took out her rifle, ripping the scope off. "Why'd you do that?" Sunblane asked. "When I kill her, I want to see her head go all over the wall." She replied. She glared at the door with anger. "All done!" Cloud said, Midnight standing up. "Then lets get a move on." They all walked towards the door, seeking revenge for their lost comrades. Sunblane put his hooves on the door. Finally, an end to all wars.... POW A loud shot rang out. Sunblane felt his body start to move backwards. He could feel a large amount of force on him. He fell to the ground, hitting hard. Midnight shot the two soldiers in the room, pointing her gun at the chair ahead, a bullet hole in it. "SHOW YOURSELF!" She yelled, huffing in rage. "My my, what a lovely get-together we have here!" A voice said. The chair turned, revealing someone that Twilight and Rainbow thought they'd never see again. "WHERE'S CADENCE!??!" Midnight yelled. "She had some other business to attend to.. Now, who are these new faces?" She said, grinning. Cloud ran into the room, seeing Sunblane and quickly grabbing him without asking anything. Rainbow and Midnight stayed at the door, waiting for anything to happen. "Since nothing interesting happening, I'll take my leave.." She stepped out of the chair, walking towards the door. "Excuse me.." She said, walking out. The two at the door stood silently. They turned around to check on Cloud and Sunblane. Rainbow looked at Sunblane. "Is he dead?" "No... He's unconscious, but he wont be up in a while. He's lost a lot of blood." Rainbow and Midnight walked out to check on Twilight. They opened the door to the outside, looking at the destruction. Twilight's mech was laying on the ground. Cloud carried Sunblane outside, going towards Twilight's mech. He opened her cockpit. "Are you okay?" He asked, looking at her. "No, but you need to check on Steel." He grabbed Steel out and laid him down next to Sunblane. Midnight went to go get the transport while Rainbow sat on Twilight's mech. "So, how did it go...?" Twilight asked, working on the mech's controls. "Well... Cadence wasn't there." Twilight stopped working on the mech and looked at her. "What do you mean?" "Well..." Rainbow paused. "Pinkie was there.." Twilight froze. "Pinkie?" Rainbow let out a sigh. "Yeah..." Twilight continued to work on the mech. "I always knew she would pull something like this..." Rainbow said, looking up at the sky. The transport drove up, Midnight sticking her head out. "Get in! I turned on the radio and Celestia said she was going to conquer this area." Rainbow flew down, heading into the transport. "Let me transmit a message." She said, grabbing the radio. "Mane 6 to Celestia, Mane 6 to Celestia, come in!" The radio crackled, the static slowly decreasing. "This is Celestia, Rainbow Dash is that you!?" "Yes, we have raided the Crystal Empire.." "By yourselves!?" "Yes, and it was successful but we didn't find Cadence." "Why?" "She somehow got away, but we found Pinkie.." "Pinkie Pie?" "Yeah, she had turned." "She's with Cadence?" "Turns out.." "No matter, you need to get here. Over and out." "10-4." Rainbow put the radio put the radio back. She went back outside. "Rainbow! Help Cloud carry Steel and Sunblane!" "Alright!" She picked up Steel and flew back to the transport. They all got on, Twilight putting her mech on the back. They drove back to Canterlot, dropping by outposts on the way. They made it to Canterlot, stopping and entering the castle. "We will provide medical aid for the two in the transport... You all can rest for now." She sighed. "The end of this war is near." "Thank you Celestia." Twilight said, guards leading them to the barracks. "Well, I guess that's it." Rainbow said, laying down. "Yeah, the end of the war." Twilight added on. "It was about time." Midnight said. "Well, after this, what are you guys going to do?" Rainbow asked. "I'll stay in the army." Midnight replied. "So will I." Twilight said. "Me too." Rainbow said. "I'll probably retire from the army and work in medical areas." Cloud said, closing his eyes. All of them relaxed, falling asleep. As Celestia's forces broke through the forces in the blizzard, Luna's forces had already arrived in the Crystal Empire. They had seen Twilight's team's work and searched through the carnage. They found some blueprints for humanoid mechs and kept them. Celestia's forces had rounded up the last of Cadence's forces and forced them to surrender. With Cadence still missing, there wasn't any treaty to sign. It would take Equestria a long time to cope with the large amounts of mineral loss and constant mining. The planet has almost ran out of materials, causing the slow down of any proper development in technology. Most of the population of Equis has either disappeared, slaughtered, or have been turned into refugees. The clean up has been estimated to take at least 25 years. Rainbow and Twilight continued the search for their lost friends. Sunblane and Steel have made a fast recovery but Sunblane dropped out of the army. Pinkie has disappeared and will live in mystery.
