Fireteam Storm

So I made a similar post to The Ones From Beyond today and will do the same here, I know this story wasn’t as popular but I see no reason to not give it the same treatment, but before I go into further detail on that I’ll say the same thing I said there once more.

Thank you to everyone who found joy from my story, everyone who dropped a like, left a comment, voiced their excitement with each new chapter and followed this story through the years giving it their time and support. I really do appreciate all of you and the feedback and engagement you gave me and this story, you all made it something I’ll look back on fondly. It and your all’s support gave me the confidence I needed to take a serious tackle into my creative endeavors and that’s something I will always be grateful for. So I will say it again, thank you to each and every one of you. Now onto the hard part.

I’m making this to offer some closure when it comes to this story and my presence here on the site as an author. I know I probably didn’t give this story as much love as my first one which even that I’ve severely neglected for over a year. As much as I would have liked to complete both this story and my other one, my time has been focused in other places I’ll divulge later in this post and it came down to needing to choose where my focus needed to lie and sadly, a fan fiction story just wasn’t it. To put it simply, I myself will no longer be working on Fireteam Storm going forward, but just like The Ones From Beyond I’m not straight out cancelling it, I’m marking it as complete and starting this day anyone who wishes to pick this story up and continue it has my full blessing to do so. I am basically making this story public domain and it will be freely available to anyone who wants to use its name, setting, and characters to create a continuation. Maybe one of you can make this tale greater than I ever could.

Like I said I didn’t give this story and my other the time I wanted to give it, but life throws it’s share curveballs and blessings. I’m now in a relationship with someone I love dearly and I enjoy spending a lot of time doing things with her and it’s now reached the point where we’re saving to live together. And as much as I loved creating this story based on a show I thoroughly enjoyed, I desired to use my talents at writing and drawing and started creating something of my own that was a 100% original, something I could truly create and to call my own, and I desired to pursue that just a little more. Between those two major ongoing developments in my life and my day job that keeps me fed and my bills paid, there just wasn’t a lot of time to sit down and hammer out some chapters, even if they were short. I’m sorry to those who were looking forward to continued work from me on this story, but I’m afraid this chapter in my life is now closed. But as I said, this post is a passing of the torch and this story is now officially open to anyone who wants to see it through. Feel free to reach out if you have questions pertaining to that I’ll be online these next couple of weeks to try and answer them and I can even lead people to where I was wanting to go with it in terms of its characters and their storylines.

I once again thank you for the support these last 8 and a half years, I’m sorry to be the bearer of disappointing news but I hope this story can live on and get the attention and love it needs, and I hope it gives many of you the chance to flex your creative abilities.
