Lifeguard on Duty
"OK, Anon. It's time for your first day as an official part-time lifeguard.", you say with confidence.
It was only three days ago you applied to be a lifeguard. You went to the head of human resources to ask about the position. "Alright. Time to start my shift."

You took a closer look and it was the same girl you've seen at Canterlot High.
"Hey girls, let's play Marco Polo.", the pink girl says. "One, two, three. Not it."

They all head out to the water and start playing. After watching their little discussion, you go back to searching for danger.
"Nope. Nothing yet.", you say. "You know, this seems to be a great day. Not a cloud in the sky. So what could happen?"
After two hours of nothing happening, you're about to break for lunch when all of a sudden, you hear screams for help.
"Huh? What's going on?"
You grab your binoculars and find the source of the screaming. It was the girl from your school and she was drowning.

You grab your life preserver and leave the tower. You run towards the water and dive in head first. You swim and grab the girl just as she loses consciousness.

You take her to the surface and lay her in the sand. After that you place your ear on her chest and hear no heartbeat.
"Back up, everyone. I need space.", you call out.

You take one breath in her mouth and then take another breath. You switch back and forth between compressions and breaths as her friends and other bystanders watch anxiously.
"Oh, I hope he saves her.", the pink one says.
"I'm pretty sure that lifeguard knows what he's doing.", the lavender one says.
After the next breaths, she throws water on your face and coughs. The people then sigh in relief. The girls friends approach you and group hug you.
"Thank you for saving our friend.", the blue girl says.
"We thought she was a goner.", the lavender one says.
After the hugs the girl you saved composes herself and looks towards you.
"You just saved my life.", she says. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it.", you say. "Although, maybe I should've gotten out of the way before you threw water in my face."
The girls then group hug the girl you saved.
"Darling, it's such a relief that your safe.", the white girl says.
"I'm not sure if even my beach jokes and puns would be able to cheer us up if you didn't make it.", the pink girl says.
It was sunset, and all of the other people have left. You then see the group of girls go in their vehicles and take off. Now it was time to clock out. You punch yourself out and walk out of the tower.
"Alright. It's time for me to hit the hay."
Just before you were about to change out of your uniform, you hear a voice.
"Hey, you."
"Huh? Who's there?"
You turn to the voice and see it's the girl you saved.
"Oh, my. It's you.", you say.
She then notices something about you.
"Wait a minute. You look familiar.", she says. "Have I seen you before?"
"Yeah. I go to Canterlot High just like you do. You're Sunset Shimmer, right?"
"Yeah. And you are?"
"My name's Anon. It's nice to properly meet you."
You both shake hands.
"I just wanted to thank you again for saving my life."

She then gets suspicious and she's about to put her hand on your shoulder.
"Um, what are you doing?", you asks cautiously.

Before you finish, she puts her hand on your shoulder. Her eyes glow and sees your inner thoughts. She sees that you only applied for the job just to look at beach girls. After that, her eyes stop glowing and she takes her hand off.
