Part Two
Not mandatory to read the first part, but I strongly suggest so this makes sense.

The school bell rang, and everypony burst out of the schoolhouse. Scootaloo was buzzing with excitement, since today was her (hopefully successful, unlike last time) date with Rumble! Rainbow Dash approved, so what could possibly go wrong? Scootaloo waved to the grey pegasus talking to Button.

"I'll leave you two lovebirds to it" smirked Button, trotting off. Scootaloo blushed, and went closer to Rumble.

"So Rumble, ready for our date?" asked Scootaloo, trying to keep excitement out of her voice. Rumble's eyes darted around nervously.

"Well, I-" Rumble started, but grew a look of anger on his face, "I can't!"

Scootaloo stepped back, hurt, "Why?"

Rumble shook his head, sweating nervously, "Oh! I mean, uh, we can't go without grabbing some food while we walk"

"Phew, you had me worried for nothing Rumble" laughed Scootaloo.

"Yep. That's me" said Rumble quickly, "I'll see you later"

Scootaloo stared at the nervous colt and pondered in confusion, "What's going on? Why is Rumble acting strangely?" She shook the thought out of her mind, and continued home. She forgot one thing as she went home. Her scooter! A baby pink earth pony and blue pegasus trotted towards the abandoned scooter.

"Did you just see that Lofty?" asked the pink Earth pony. Aunt Lofty nodded.

"Seems like Scootaloo got herself a coltfriend" said Aunt Lofty.

"First she ran off to that irresponsible Rainbow Dash, and now this!" winced Aunt Holiday, "And now the whole town thinks we were bad to Scootaloo, which is why she moved in with Rainbow"

"The truth is, Rainbow Dash took our Scootaloo away from us" sneered Aunt Lofty, "We've got to do something"

"I've got it" exclaimed Aunt Holiday, "Rainbow Dash is the problem, right? So let's get rid of the problem"

Lofty and Holiday shared a grin, and walked off, talking to themselves, and hiding off into an alley.

Scootaloo raced into the living room once again, only to be met by the scowling face of a cyan pegasus.

"Okay, we need to have a serious conversation" said Rainbow Dash, glancing at the tire marks on beloved wooden floors.

She looked up to see Scootaloo had already gone, "Can that wait Dash? Help me pick something out for tonight"

Rainbow rolled her eyes, and went over to help the filly. Scootaloo was deep beneath piles of hats, dresses, shoes, jewelry, digging through the stack.

"Come on Dash, help me choose what to wear" yelled Scootloo, from somewhere inside the pile of clothes. Rainbow Dash threw the clothes around the room, trying to find Scootaloo, who she found in a hot pink hit, clashing green pants, blue sunglasses and a purple hat. Looking at the silly outfit Scootaloo was wearing, Rainbow Dash burst out laughing, rolling around in chokes.

"You look fabulous Scoots" laughed Rainbow Dash, as Scootaloo shook the mismatched clothes of herself.

"Okay, okay, no need to rub it in" grumbled Scootaloo, as the mare was still in a fit of laughter, "Now can you help me?"

Rainbow Dash wiped her tears, "Yes, yes I can"

Scootaloo admired herself one last time in the mirror. She was wearing a lovely royal purple dress, with pink ruffles, interacting stitching done at the base in golden thread. Scootaloo was looking wonderful, but one thing was still bothering her.

"My hair is just-" Scootaloo groaned, trying to pull it back neatly, it springing forward in response, "So annoying! I want to make it longer!"

"But short hair looks cool on you" reasoned Rainbow, a comb flying towards her.

"Whatever. Can I get it at least a little bit longer?" begged Scootaloo, finally giving up.

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, "Fine. Now go, you're gonna be late"

Scootaloo nodded, as Rainbow hugged her, and she left. Scootaloo found herself in a bustling restaurant, but with fillies and colts. Button Mash, being the romantic of the class, and Sweetie Belle, got enough signatures on their petition to open up a restaurant just for colts and fillies of the Ponyville Schoolhouse to go to. It was filled with young couples and groups of friends, and Scootaloo spotted Rumble sitting on a table for two.

"Hi Scootaloo" said Rumble glumly, as Scootaloo excitedly took a seat.

"Hey Rumble, you seem down?" asked Scootaloo, worried, "Do you wanna talk about it?"

Rumble looked down, "Well-"

"I know what it is!" interupted Scootaloo, "Its that there are no hay fries, and you love those?"

"But that's not-"

"I know you miss Button, but its still fun" Scootaloo piped in, as Rumble rolled his eyes.

"Listen-"

"I miss the crusaders all the time" blabbered Scootaloo, as Rumble growled, firece anger on his face.

"Just here me out!" yelled Rumble, as Scootaloo's ears lowered, "I don't wanna be your coltfriend or whatever you're expecting!"

Scootaloo's eyes glistened with tears, "Why? What did I do?"

"You didn't! Its just that, we're to young" lied Rumble.

Scootaloo glared at him, "We're sixteen, that's old enough. I know its something else that's bothering you, please tell me"

Rumble closed his eyes, gritting his teeth, "I-I-I"

"Well?"

"THIS WHOLE THING HAS JUST TURNED OUT BADLY!" Rumble screamed.

Scootaloo's heart was racing, "What?"

He took a deep breath, "Look, I do want to be with you. But this whole 'relationship' of ours had just turned out really horribly"

"No it hasn't" said Scootaloo, as Rumble stopped her.

"It has. I was unsure about dating someone with a strong personality like you. And I've been let dolwn in the past as well" sighed Rumble, "And what happened with Dash just made me even more unsure, and I just-can't"

Hot tears were streaming down Scootaloo's face by now, "Fine. I get it, you don't want to be seen with someone like me"

She ran out, in tears, as Rumble felt his heart drop, his own eyes tearing up.

Rainbow Dash hummed to herself, sweeping the house, when a sobbing Scootaloo burst in, her heels messing up the floors once again, but this time, Rainbow was too concerned to care.

"Scootaloo, what's wrong?" she asked, hugginng her, as the filly sobbed uncontrollably.

"Rumble-" started Scootaloo. Rainbow became livid, growling.

"What did he do!"

"He said he didn't want to date, because he couldn't deal with stress, and he was nervous, and after everything the happened with you, he's even more nervous" sobbed Scootaloo, "But I know its me! He doesn't like me!"

Rainbow's mind fired up with anger. That Rumble made her Scoots cry? Oh he'd pay for it.

"It's my fault. I shouldn't have" Rainbow coughed, "Overreacted. But don't worry, he's not worth it"

Scootaloo didn't look up from hugging Rainbow, as Rainbow's gears turned on how to make sure Rumble learnt his lesson
