Hot tears streamed down from the cyan mare's face as she tried to comprehend what had just happened. Scootaloo was...gone? Where did she go? She could be anywhere! Rainbow's mind was turning gears trying to come up with more and more problems. What if she got kidnapped? What if she became a beggar, those poor children who barely have anything to eat? What if she...

Rainbow Dash shook that thought out of her mind. Scootaloo would never do that. She wasn't like that, she wouldn't let such a small thing get her down. Or would she?

The door burst open as Soarin trotted in, beaming, "All went well I'm assuming?"

Seeing Rainbow Dash's face, he stopped smiling, and sat by her, "Hey...what's wrong?"

Rainbow Dash hastily wiped her tears, "Nothing"

"Really?" Soarin raised an eyebrow. Rainbow Dash sighed, and silently passed Soarin the letter. As his eyes skimmed over the letter, his expression turned to sadness, and then shock.

"Wait, WHAT?!" Soarin shrieked, chucking the paper aside, "What did you do this time?"

Glaring at her coltfriend's look of frustration, Rainbow defended herself, "I- I didn't do anything wrong!"

"Yeah right" Soarin rolled his eyes, as Rainbow stared at him in disbelief. He turned around, ready to leave.

"Could you believe in me for once?" Soarin swiveled around.

"Really? Since the first day I met you, I blindly trusted you in every. Little. Minuscule. Thing" Soarin spat. Rainbow didn't respond, turning away.

She opened her mouth to say something, but stopped midway, stomping her hoof, "Argh! WHY DID I EVER CHOOSE YOU!?"

Soarin flinched, but kept his glare steady, "You know what? I am- done, with you Rainbow Dash. Its all about you! What about Scootaloo? Rumble? ME?"

"I've always-" started Rainbow.

"If you can't handle one filly, I'll hate to see the damage you'd do to your own foal" growled Soarin, slamming the door shut behind him, leaving Rainbow cold, alone, and in the dark.

Scootaloo fiddled with her fork uneasily, spinning spaghetti around the tines. Too many thoughts were on her mind, it was hard to concentrate. Aunt Lofty nudged Holiday softly.

"Scootaloo, dear, eat up, we're gonna have ice-cream later!" Aunt Holiday encouraged.

Scootaloo nodded, and slowly nibbled at the food.

"It's going to be June soon, the year is flying by, I can't wait for full summer!" said Aunt Lofty, trying to engage in a conversation with Scootaloo.

Scootaloo shrugged, "I guess"

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"I dunno"

Lofty and Holiday shared a look, "Is thjs about Miss Dash?"

"Maybe. I'm not sure anymore. Do you think she's worried?" asked Scootaloo, gazing up at her Aunts.

"Not at all. I hate to say this, but that mare has too much of a temper, she can't control a delicate little filly like you who's been through so much" explained Aunt Holiday.

"Yes, and I really am happy with you two. Now...how about some ice-cream?" Scootaloo said, faking cheeriness, and plastering on a fake smile.

The Aunts nodded, as the trotted out underneath the starry night Luna made. The trio bought ice-cream, chatted, and returned home. Tucking Scootaloo in for bead, Aunt Lofty left, switching the lights off. Eyelids feeling heavy, Scootaloo tried to concentrate on positive things. She'd heard Manehattan was a really nice place to go, and she could meet up with Babs Seed. But the thought of leaving Ponyville and the CMC made her sick to her stomach. Mind wandering, Scootaloo felt herself drift off to sleep, leaving her worries behind.

Flying, falling, tumbling, eventually Scootaloo found herself in Cloudsdale? But she couldn't fly! How could she- Unfurling her wings, she gently flapped her wings, and felt herself flying! Grinning from ear to ear, Scootloo lifted herself off the ground, defying gravity, and buzzing through the skies. The moon above seemed closer, as it grew larger and exploded, as an alicorn bursted out, Princess Luna.

"Princess Luna?" Scootaloo smiled, but then sighed, "This is a dream isn't it?"

"Indeed" replied Luna, flapping beside the filly, "Tell me what's wrong?"

"I miss her..." Scootaloo felt tears well up in her eyes.

"Rainbow Dash does too" assured Luna, as Scootaloo raised an eyebrow.

"How could you know that? I know you're a princess, but you're not a mind reader"

Luna smiled, "I'll show you"

She raised her head, creating a silver orb from her horn. The orb expanded, and engulfed the Princess and the filly, as they landed Rainbow's home.

"What are we doing here?" asked Scootaloo.

Luna raised a hoof to her mouth, and pointed towards the scence unplaying in front of them. The door burst open as Soarin trotted in, beaming, "All went well I'm assuming?"

Seeing Rainbow Dash's face, he stopped smiling, and sat by her, "Hey...what's wrong?"

"When is this from?" asked Scootaloo.

Rainbow Dash hastily wiped her tears, "Nothing"

"Really?" Soarin raised an eyebrow. Rainbow Dash sighed, and silently passed Soarin the letter. As his eyes skimmed over the letter, his expression turned to sadness, and then shock.

"This must have been earlier today" concluded Scootaloo, as Luna nodded knowingly.

Scootaloo's eyes widened, "Are they fighting because of- me?"

Luna didn't respond as they continued to stare.

"This is getting out of hoof!" Scootaloo tried to step between the fighting couple, but felt her hooves glued to the floor, "STOP!"

Soarin flinched, but kept his glare steady, "You know what? I am- done, with you Rainbow Dash. Its all about you! What about Scootaloo? Rumble? ME?"

"I've always-" started Rainbow.

"If you can't handle one filly, I'll hate to see the damage you'd do to your own foal" growled Soarin, slamming the door behind him.

"Scootaloo, please, I need you" sobbed Rainbow Dash, falling to the floor, crying into her hooves. The walls crumbled in front of Scootaloo's eyes, as the scene slowly melted away.

Scootaloo's eyes burst open, as she felt the soft bed and warm blanket around her. Looking outside the window, she saw the moon still shining, stars scattered across. There was still time.

Author's Note

This week has been REALLY stressful for me, I had to write a short story at school, and we were supposed to write 1000 words, and I wrote 2000, and now I have to redo the whole thing. I have exams coming up soon, and I'm going insane studing. And my laptop is under repairs, they keyboard went INSANE, and its gone to HP for repairs, so I'm doing this all on my phone or desktop. And I lost my Ipad charger, and I broke my earphones, and I practically LIVE on listening to music from my earphones. So yeah, things aren't going well. But I hope you enjoy, and I think its summers in June for most countires? Its winter in June for me, but I wanted to go for most people's average month-season thing. Anyways, enjoy, like, comment!!
