Behind the Bleeding Veil

Twilight had her final epiphany in September of 2017 and as stated previous, Rarity died on February 18, 2018. In the intervening months the group continued to move and change. Rarity and Fluttershy had quartan themselves off into their own little group. They completely abandoned the others. Apple Jack, likewise, pulled away from Twilight and Sunset but remained friends with Pinkie and Sonata, (who after Apple Jack's micro relationship with Rarity; they incessantly tried to hook up with single ladies from their LGBT support group). Twilight and Sunset remained extremely close, bonded forever by their powers and responsibilities, as well as their significant others. They, as well, also remained friends with Pinkie and Sonata.

Sunset started working with Twilight to develop her powers a little bit more. She never felt the need to try and change the world since she knew she wasn't allowed to (also, considering how power hungry she had been in her earlier years, she decided it was best not to focus on what she was or could do now); but after learning their were still other secret societies groups, and threats out there, it might be a good idea to at least get some practice in. One of the best things was when she and Twilight went exploring other planets together. It was a vast universe, teaming with all sorts of life. Some of it was basic, unintelligent life, some was highly advanced with many different and rich cultures. Coming back after one of those trips always made college life seem a bit boring and pointless (that all disappeared though, as soon as they were back in the arms of their beloveds).

Twilight and Flash's relationship was like a typical young adult relationship. There was some parties, some double and triple dates, going out to amusement parks and such when time and cash allowed; but Twilight being in her early thirties mellowed that out so most times it was just them watching TV, listening to music, or just talking at home. Sunset and Adagio's was far more subdued. Sunset being in her mid thirties and Adagio being over fourteen hundred years old, were fully adult in their thoughts and actions and lived the quiet life of two adults in love. They hardly went out but would occasionally have friends over. Pinkie and Sonata were still the party girls and social butterflies. They also were becoming more outspoken and political in their demands for LGBTQIA+ rights.

Apple Jack continued on her farm, raising her son. At first she rejected the idea of dating anyone, especially another woman. She was convinced that Rarity had been the only woman she ever could have loved. But after growing increasingly annoyed by Pinkie and Sonata's constant nagging and attempts at match making, she decided to give it a try. If she had found love in one woman, she might as well see if she could another.

The first one was a disaster. She was a militant lesbian with a shaved head who turned around and walked off as soon as she found out Apple had a son. She hated anything which either has or had had a penis. The next day Apple called up Pinkie and Sonata and asked what they had been thinking. They apologized but date number two wasn't much better. She was a high class snob. All the character defaults of Rarity but none of the charm. Date three was a quiet girl who put Apple in mind of Fluttershy (or at least who Fluttershy had been). The date had been going well until the girl asked if she liked to be beat or preferred to do the beating. Turns out little miss shy pants was an S&M freak and that killed that. Date four was a hippy and militant vegan. Finally, at the point when Apple was about to tell Pinkie and Sonata to give up, they introduced her Sandra.

Sandra was nineteen year old, African-American girl from Georgia. She had grown up on a farm like Apple Jack. She hadn't minded it but wanted more out of life. Also the fact she was lesbian and transgender was another big reason she wanted to leave the farm. As soon as she had been accepted to college, she moved out, changed her name to Sandra and started transitioning. To look at her, you never would have guesses she used to be male bodied. Apple found that she and Sandra hit it off extremely well and eventually started dating with Sandra moving in with Apple in late January.

Rarity, upon returning to London became a bit of a slut; fucking any man who was willing to stuff his dick inside her. It was like she was trying to purge her lesbian experience from her by a cock-ercism. After a couple months she finally decided that her current behavior was ultimately self destructive and she calmed down. By Christmas she was in a steady relationship with a male model she had met at a fashion show.

Fluttershy had no interest in dating. She wanted to figure herself out more, find out who she really was. No matter what, she always felt uncomfortable in her own skin. She hated who she had been but still missed it a little. Who she was (or at least who she pretended to be), felt wrong but also right at the same time. She was lost and confused and had decided she needed to find herself before she found anyone else.

Scootaloo changed dramatically after Rainbow disappeared. She grew her hair out, let the dye wash out, started dressing more conservatively, and eventually ended up dating a clean cut, conservative, Christian boy named Ryan. Losing Rainbow caused her to lose her wild and adventurous side. Now she just wanted stability and safety. She would check in on Sweetie Belle, but she never really changed. She would just stare while she was being talked to. Every so often Scoot thought she would see a smile almost form on Sweetie's face but then it would go. It was progress she supposed and she vowed never to give up on her friend.

And that's how things were. The group had separated into sub factions, each living their life as they saw best, each finding their groove in life until an ordinary, everyday, car crash destroyed everything and unleashed a nightmare upon all of them.
