Character Outline: Derpy Hooves
I'll be adding these character outlines first, to give people a little background into the 'verse of this story and the characters in it, as well as getting feedback on possible minor character changes. I started off with Derpy because she was the first one I thought of a complete story for. The Mane 6 will probably be next, with one exception that is a major plot point for the rest of them. Just gotta find some motivation to get them done... Anywho, time for Derpy!

NAME: Derpy Hooves
CURRENT AGE: Approx. 30 years old
BRANCH: Army
RANK: Sergeant
HISTORY: While, like many members of the rebel forces, Derpy's past is relatively unknown beyond what she has given herself, she did give a short account of what had happened prior to her initial enlistment: It had been a regular day for the local mail-mare in Ponyville, delivering the little mail that was sent now, while enduring small snips at her clumsiness and eyes given out by several ponies. What she came home to, on the other hand, was a very different story; her house was in complete disarray, and after a frantic search, she found her only daughter, Dinky Hooves, bleeding out in her bed, struggling to breathe due to a bullet wound that penetrated her lungs. Immediately calling for medical attention, Derpy did her best to comfort herself and her daughter. Giving up when it became clear that help wouldn't arrive in time, Derpy flew for all she was worth to the nearest hospital. Sadly, the packed and understaffed facility could do little for the young unicorn, and she died that night. Stricken with grief, sadness and anger, the mailmare flew home again, to be greeted with a note telling her to give up her job or face future consequences, with the insignia of Celestia upon it. With her anger finding a target, she joined the rebellion the next day.
RECENT ACTIONS: While Derpy's basic training was unremarkable compared to other ponies, she surprised many by opting for the army, as opposed to the air force, saying that she wouldn't do well there. However, that choice proved to be a good one, as her incredible accuracy with a rifle during target shooting became apparent. This led her into sniper training, a place usually reserved for unicorns due to their ability to magically enhance their accuracy. Her place was well earned, rising to be within the top five percent of her class. Her exceptional performance as a pegasi sniper made her a legend throughout the rebel force, which was soon made known while fighting the Imperial Military for the first time. Her actions during the 'Battle of ', though eventually made useless due to the rebel retreat from that area, helped cement her reputation within both sides of the war. While the rebel forces regard her as a saviour and badass, both Imperial soldiers and fliers alike fear the sight of her scope, knowing that a bullet for their head is always close behind.
PERSONALITY: While she is known to be clumsy at times due to lack of depth perception, out of battle she always manages to keep a smiling face. However, while the pegasus is friendly to those she knows can trust, Derpy soon becomes cold as ice when going into combat, able to kill Imperial soldiers with deadly accuracy and efficiency. Some speculate that her eye condition somehow helps her accuracy, though this is unconfirmed. Driven by hatred for the Empire and the wanting for vengeance, Derpy is willing to kill as many ponies as necessary to bring down Celestia's rule, not wanting anypony to go through what she did that day.
