The OutcastView OnlineSweet, sweet mareThe Outcast"...In the deepest and darkest parts of the everfree forest, lies a monster like no other..." Ace read,"No pony has ever gone face to face with the being and came out alive. Out of all the creatures that lurk in the forest, it is the most deadly... Beware the beast with no mouth ...If, by any chance you meet it, run as fast as you can..." Marble Ace shut the book on Mythical Monsters and turned to his friend, Clear River." Are you buying any of this?" " Seriously? Of course not... That book is just a way of keeping ponies out of the forest. Besides, a mare made of candy? They have to be making up half of the things in this book," River responded, "Well, isn't that why it's called Mythical Monsters?" "Exactly, the guy who wrote the book could've at least made it about something more believable, like an Ursa Major." "But still, some of the stuff in the book seemed pretty... Concerning..." "Why? Are you scared?" River said, with a wide grin on his face. "What? No! Of course not! Why would I have any reason to be afraid?" "Hey, you said it, not me," "Whatever... Anyway I need to go home. I'll see you tomorrow, I guess," "Yeah, see ya tomorrow. Don't let the monsters eat you!" He shouted as Ace trotted away. "Just shut up..." 10 Years Later Marble Ace had just gotten of the the train and had arrived in ponyville. He spent a few years in Canterlot, so he could study and improve his education further. And during his time there, he felt homesick, but he couldn't lose a day of school, even if it was for family. So, after he (barley) graduated from his university, he decided to go back to and visit in ponyville once more. The moment he stepped off the train, he was greeted by a familiar face. "Ace! Over here!" his mother was waving frantically trying to get his attention. "Hey mom. How are--" before he could even finish his sentence, Ace was tackle and squeezed by his mothers embrace. "I cannot even BEGIN to say how much I missed you!" "Mom... Need... Air..." Ace wheezed. Quickly, she released him, but kept her cheerful smile. "Sorry about that! But anyway, tell me, how was university?" "Yeah, it was great, mom. Difficult, but OK." "That's good to hear. Now let's go home, I can make you some tea while you tell me about your experiences." "Don't forget to put two sugars, all right?" "Don't worry, I know..." The two kept talking, and talking, and talking. Completely unaware of the figure in the forest... A few hours later Ace and his mother were at sugarcube corner, enjoying some cupcakes. "I can't believe it... Marble Ace, my own son, finally graduated. I'm so proud of you! Still... I'm sorry I couldn't make it to Canterlot to see it happen." "It's alright, mom. I understand that Ponyville is far away from Canterlot." "You really are the best son a mare could ask for, ya know!" "Stop it, you're making me blush!" "Good! Because I mean every single word." She stood up from the table. "Well, we'd better get going..." "Actually, can I stay here for a bit longer?" "I'm not sure about that. The sun is starting to set, it'll be dark soon." "Just a little bit longer, please. I just want to walk around town for a bit longer, I haven't seen this place in years." She thought about it for a while, then shrugged. "Oh, OK then. But promise me you won't be late!" "I promise..." "Well, I'll see you at home, bye!" She said walking off. For a while, Ace took a tour of ponyville. Memories of his childhood came back to him, whether it would be the fountain or a particular tree. During his trip down memory lane, he couldn't help but feel like he wasn't alone. He was on the outskirts of town when he realised the sun had almost set. He turned in the direction of ponyville, when he heard a loud snap behind him. He turned around to find nopony. All he could see was the Everfree forest. 'I must be going crazy...' he thought to himself. He was going to turn around again, until something caught his eye. A shadowy figure... "Ummm... Hello?" He didn't know what else to say or do. The figure remained started to back away, at a moderate pace. "Hey, wait! It's dangerous in there!" He began to run towards the pony, but stopped himself. "No... I promised i would be home... But I can just let that pony wander in the forest! Still, I could get lost in there..." The figure was almost out sight. "Ugh... No, I'm not going." 'Why? Are you scared?' A familiar voice chimed. He gave the forest one last gaze. Finally, he gave in and rushed into the forest, cursing his old friend as he did. ... "Hello? Helloooo! Where are you?!" Ace was starting to get extremely anxious, he was sweating bullets at this point. But after searching for a while, he decided to give up and call it a day. Besides, the moon was out. There was just one problem, though. He was lost. In the Everfree forest. This was the moment he really started to panic. He was spinning in circles wondering what way he had came, or how he was going to get back home. Alive. Then, out of nowhere the figure appeared. Ace breathed a huge sigh of relief. "Thank Celestia I found you! What are you even doing in this forest anyway?" The pony didn't respond, but it did walk towards Ace. Upon closer inspection, he could see it was mare with a pink coat and a black and crimson mane. But, their was something... Off about her. Her mouth wasn't visible. But that's when the realisation hit him... 'Beware the beast with no mouth...' He ran... Ace ran like never before. He didn't know where he even running to, but as long as it was away from the mare, he was OK with it. Ace managed to reach a clearing in the forest, but he hadn't escaped yet. The mare walked into the clearing with him, her eyes remained blank. Ace tried to run again, but ended up bumping into what seemed to be a large, sleeping animal. But to his horror, he discovered that he had ran into a manticore, and he had woken it up. The manticore stood up and looked down upon him. Ace backed away and turned around only to find the mare was in a defensive stance. Then, out of nowhere, she started growing in size, until she about the same size as Princess Celestia herself. On top of that, he features became a lot more fierce. Her mouth was visible now, her teeth were razor sharp and her eyes had gained red rings around her iris. Lastly, four tentacle like arms sprouted from her back. Then, she galloped at full speed towards Ace. At nearly the same time, the manticore leaped into the air, then dived towards him, claws first. Ace just closed his eyes... He wanted this to be over... But, something amazing happened. Right when the manticore was going to slash away, the mare jumped over Ace and rammed into the manticore, knocking it out of the air and onto the ground. While the beast was still dizzy, the mare swiftly turned around and and pointed her hoof in a certain direction. "Run!" she yelled, her voice was distorted, but Ace knew was she was saying. And so, he began running where she told him to go. Author's Note Hey! It's me, The Silver Dodge. Just so you know, this is my very first fanfic! There will be more to come, soon. But anyway, I hope you've enjoyed this fimfic! Till next time... Cya!
More than meets the eyeView OnlineSweet, sweet mareMore than meets the eyeAce continued his journey for escape from the forest, but it was of no avail. Each turn he made seemed to amount to nothing; every step, a waste of time and effort. He had no idea what parts of the forest he was in or how long he was running for. All he knew was that he was desperately wanted to go home, and he wasn't getting any calmer. He was coming up to a clearing in the forest, which recovered a bit of hope. But it turned out the clearing was just a patch of land with a small river. At this point, Ace was at his breaking point. Thoughts of fear and sadness were rushing through his head. "Please... Somebody help! Anypony, please!" He shouted, water streaming from his eyes. "Just help... Please..." He'd been trying to find the exit for hours now, and it's hard enough without all the nasty creatures that lurk in the darkness of the forest. Just then, he felt a hoof on his shoulder. Ace flinched, then turned around to see who was standing behind him. It was the mare with no mouth. She was much bigger and more scary while fighting the manticore, but now she had shrunken to the size of an average mare. Ether way, Ace jolted backwards in fear of her. The fear instantly vanished, though. He could see that her eyes were not threatening, but were sorrowful, like she knew his pain. This mare was nothing like the book told, maybe other than the fact she was made of candy. The pony, in the book, was described to be a insane, cannibalistic abomination. However, the 'monster' in front of him seemed kind and caring. "Who... What are you?" He asked, with nothing better to say. She didn't respond. She just put her hoof out, asking him to take her hand. Reluctantly, Ace took her hoof, and she began leading him. A while later... During the time they were walking, Ace had asked the mare many questions, to which he got no response. Then again, she had no visible mouth. Ace felt incredible dumb realising that fact. All of a sudden, the mare stopped dead in her tracks. "What is it?" He asked. Once again, no reply. She just pointed in front of her. Ace looked in the direction of her hoof, and, at long last, could see Ponyville. A huge wave of relief and joy rushed over him. He believed that he'd be stuck in the forest forever. In no time, he was sprinting at full speed towards the town. When he got out of the forest, he was surprised to see that the sun was was starting to rise. "Geez, how long was I gone for?" He then shrugged his shoulders and was running home. But he stopped himself, and turned around. The mare, who didn't move from her spot, was just staring back at him. He quickly rushed over and gave her a hug. "Thank you..." He said still embracing her. At first she was shocked by what he did, but then she decided just to hug him as well. Ace released her from his grip, smiled and then continued running. One thing was for certain. Despite the fact she didn't have a mouth, you would still tell she was smiling back at him. ... Ace, at last, finally arrived back home, and safely to say the least! But right now, he had bigger problems. One of them being how, in Celestias name, was he going to to explain where he was and what he was doing all night. He took a deep breath before hesitantly opening the door. To his luck, he poked his head through the door to find that there was no pony. Stealthily, he walked in, closed the door and when for the stairs. If his mum was still asleep, he would be able to get to his room and make it look like he was there the entire night. Slowly, he took the first step upwards. "Ahem," Ace flinched, and then turned right to see his mother waiting for him in the living room. And judging her facial expressions, she was clearly not happy. They gazed at each other for a while. "I swear can explain." "I don't think you can..." she said coldly. "But please, tell me. What did you do to make yourself come home so late?" "Well... To put it shortly, I kind of... Err..." She raised an eyebrow, "You what?" "I... Got lost in the everfree forest..." He finished his sentence, looking down in shame. "Do you know how much you made me worry?" She started trotting towards Ace. "I kept telling myself 'he'll be here soon' and to 'not worry too much'. Well! You kept me waiting all NIGHT! And you were in the Everfree forest, of all places!" Upon closer examination, Ace could see bags under her eyes, proving her point. "I'm sorry mom... But I really meant to come hom-" "I don't want to hear excuses right now. But seriously, you're not a child anymore, you're are grown stallion. You should be more responsible than this!" She placed a hoof on her head and sighed. "Just please don't be mad me," he begged. "I'm not mad..." She started to walk up the stairs. "... I'm just disappointed." She said right when she reached the top of the stairs. Ace was left staring at the floor. Even though he was up all night, he didn't feel like sleeping right now. He just needed to get out of the house and clear his mind. Well, not before having breakfast. *-------------------------------------------------* Sitting down on a bench, Ace reflected on the insane night he had just experienced. He was just glad it was all over, and hopefully never go through that night again. Finally, the day officially began, and the ponies of the town started to get to work. Ace got off the bench and started to wander through, with nothing much to do. All of that was interrupted, when a random stranger almost tackled him to the ground hugging him. Looking down at the pony, Ace could see that it was a pink mare. With black and red hair... And no mouth.... Author's Note Hello again! So, yeah. Here's the second part to my story! I really hope you like it! If you do, be sure to hit that thumbs up and comment what you think of the story so far (I'm also open to criticism). So untill next time... Have a good day!
The One in a millionView OnlineSweet, sweet mareThe One in a millionThe Mare had yet to release Ace from her embrace. She was comfortable just the way she was and was showing no signs of letting go. She buried the side of her face into his neck, in an affectionate way, one that caused Ace to uncontrollably blush. "W-what are you doing?" he asked, red as a tomato. The Mare finally released Ace only to look at him, with her head leaned to one side. "Oh... Right, no mouth..." he said, face hoofing himself. "But you need to get out of here! If the towns ponies learn who-- what you really are, you never know how they'll react!" The Mare, however, only gave an innocent stare. Nothing more, nothing less. "Do you even understand what I'm saying?" Ace asked, giving her a questioning look. But still, she said nothing. Looking around, he could see more ponies exiting their homes and began to panic. "Ok, listen to me..." He pointed in the direction of the Everfree forest, " You need to head back to the forest, where you came from. Are we clear?" The Mare turned in the direction of the Ace's hoof, but turned back with sadness across her features, invoking feelings of guilt within him. "I'm sorry, alright? But I just don't want you to get in any trouble or potentially hurt." he apologised. She sat down, emitting the same expression. "Soooooo, I guess I'll leave... It was nice meeting you, to say the least!" Ace stated, plastering a fake grin on his face. She saw through his mask, though... And kept the same face locked with his eyes. Slowly, Ace began to walk away and turn his back to the Mare. 'Just don't look, Ace... Don't even think about her' he kept telling himself. As for the Mare, she started walking too, her head hung. She could feel her heart ache a little, like she just lost a friend. But that all changed when a hoof grabbed her shoulder, causing her to jump in shock and surprise. It was Ace. He sighed deeply as he looked to the floor in sorrow "I'm sorry, I really am. I understand, you were just trying to be friendly. And I didn't exactly repay your kindness correctly," he mumbled, grinning weakly, "I've been a really crummy pony, I'll admit that. So, I was hoping I could make it up to you by showing you around town. Is that OK?" This time, the Mare could see that his smile was not only 100% genuine, but was from the very bottom of his heart. This made her beam brighter and brighter until she bounced around in pure joy and excitement. As far as she could tell, Ace was going against everything he said just to make her happy. "I'll take that as a 'yes' " Ace whispered inwardly. "So are you coming?" He didn't have to tell her twice. She stopped jumping and tried to drag Ace to wherever she was running to. They were just about to start trotting, until a huge explosion of confetti and streamers blasted their way, causing them to effortlessly fall onto their flanks! "Welcome!" An extremely high pitched chirped, "To Ponyville! You seem to be be new? I mean, I haven't seen you around here! So what's your name?" "Pinkie?" Ace questioned, still recovering from his heavy daze, "when did you get there? And did you really have to blow up my ear drums like that?" "Well of course my favourite food is cherry changas! I've told you this before." Pinkie pie emerged from behind the party cannon and gave Ace a confused look. "What? That had nothing to do with what I asked. Are you sure you're not going deaf firing that cannon all the time?" He responded, somewhat sarcastically. "I'm sorry, but what did you say?! I think I might be going deaf firing this cannon all the time!" She screamed, unnecessarily. Ace just playfully rolled his eyes. The Mare, however, was struggling to even stand up properly after the party cannon blast. But after some time, she managed to regain her balance. As for Pinkie, she was busy pulling cotton buds from her ears. "Oh, right. I forgot I had these on! Anyway, what's your name?" She said looking at the Mare. And as usual, she merely blinked with nothing else to say or do. Making the entire space around them go quiet and awkward, something Pinkie wasn't very used to. "Well?" She said, breaking the silence. She started to walk in front of her enough to make the Mare extremely uncomfortable, making her take a few steps back. It was only then, that Pinkie started to notice that something was off about the Mare "Heeey, wait a second. Am I seeing things or is ther--" "Sorry!" Ace swiftly interrupted, jumping in between them, "she's just not that open when it comes to talking with strangers." Pinkie narrowed her eyes in judgment and interrogation. "Errm... So Yeah! I hope you can understand my point and respect her personality..." The expression on her face only became more tense, as she edged closer to his nervous, almost fear-ridden, smile. With all of the strong silence, Ace was beginning to sweat an entire river. " Okie doki loki!" she chirped, returning to her energetic and happy-go-lucky attitude, "I get how she feels! I mean, you can't just make somepony talk with you if they don't want to. Otherwise they'll be less likely to want to be your friend! You just gotta give em' time to open up! Am I right, or am I right?" "R-right! Yeah, of course!" Ace stuttered. "Oh! I forgot! I have to get back to Sugarcube corner! Sorry about this, maybe we should talk later when I'm free!" Pinkie ran away faster than a flash of lightning, leaving him in the dust. Ace breathed in the biggest sigh of relief in his life. "Whew, that was close... Now continuing with our tour--" he looked behind him to find that the Mare had disappeared completely. He frantically searched the area to find her, but calmed down once he saw she was by the fountain. Not only that; she also climbed in and was playing in the water! Without hesitation, he ran towards her, "you need to get out there. This is a public fountain, not your bathroom!" However, she didn't seem to hear... Or listen... Or even care, for that matter. Ace just stood there facehoofing, feeling a bit embarrassed for her. He had a feeling that today would be a very long day... Author's Note Hey... Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I hope you like this new chapter! As usual, I am open to any criticism. I'm still new to this! But anyway, have a good one!
Unbreakable LinksView OnlineSweet, sweet mareUnbreakable Links"... I swear, I have NO idea what he was thinking!" Ace ranted, completely lost in his words. He'd been talking for quite literally hours on end, sharing old stories with his new friend. The Mare was listening to every word; never breaking her attention from him. And she didn't really care what else happened around them. She was perfectly happy, just being able to spend time with him. But while Ace was still talking, she found herself wandering into space a bit. She was thinking about the events that took place today. All the fun she had, all the things she saw... Every second was bliss for her, definitely a good change from roaming around in the forest. However, she knew very well that she couldn't stay forever. She would eventually have to return to the Everfree forest. All of the joy she had a minute ago vanished faster than a heart beat, and it left her slightly depressed. "Errm, hello? Earth to pony?" The Mare quickly snapped back to reality and darted her head around trying to find out what was going on. Finally, she turned here head to find, none other than, the forest. Dread was showing in her eyes. "We're here," he stated, with a crooked smile on his face, "well, I hope you enjoyed your time here. It was great getting to talk with you!" She looked towards the forest then gave a glance towards Ponyville. Ace noticed she obviously didn't look happy leaving. "Don't worry," he reassured her, "you can always come and visit anytime you like, nopony is gonna stop you. So there's no need to look so down, alright?" Hearing this, admittedly, did make her feel a bit better. So to say thank you and goodbye, she gave him a hug. After releasing him from her grip, she began to trot back into the forest. Ace waved, sighed; then walked home, as well. As he was walking, he noticed the sun was starting to set above the houses. " I should better get home quickly so mom doesn't worry again..." *** After a long walk, Ace had finally arrived home. He opened the door, entered and then creeped through the hallway and up the stairs. There was another hall with three doors: on the left was the door to his mother's room, to the right was the storage room door and at the end was his room. He was heading towards his room, until he stopped. He could hear a light snore coming from his mother's room. Shrugging his shoulders, he continued down the hall and gazed upon his room. As he entered, he could see nothing had really changed after he left. There where posters of famous sports stallions, his favourite one being a poster of the hoofball player Crystal Ronaldo. His old bed near the top left corner of his room with a desk and lamp next to it. And lastly, in the very right of his room was a box of toys he'd stopped playing with, it was placed right under the window. The only thing that was different with his room was that it was much more cleaner than it used to be. Before there used to be a few clothes scattered on the floor. "Well, I guess it couldn't have stayed a mess forever..." He walked over to his bed, the one he had years back, and threw himself onto it. Staring blankly at the ceiling, he found yet another poster, only this one was a cat dangling on a tree. 'I should probably take that down, ' he thought, just before dozing off into a deep sleep. *** Out of nowhere, Ace snapped awake. He was not sure why he did though, but there was a important matter at hand: his current location. He was no longer in the comfort of his own bed, but now in a dark and excruciatingly cold void. He tried to look beyond what his own vision was telling him, but came to no avail. That was until he turned around to find a familiar forest had appeared right behind him, only difference was it was shaded in black and white, like an old TV colour... Reluctantly, he chose to wonder the woods to see what it held for him. As he got deeper in, he could oddly enough hear what sounded like the famous piano song Clair de lune playing from a wind-up music box, only adding to the onto the chilling vibe. After about a minute of walking, Ace came across a clearing in the forest, to which he found the one and only... Candy Mare. She didn't seem like herself, however. For starters, the way she was looking down slightly covered her eyes with her hair, only leaving her mouth exposed. And secondly... Yeah... She has a mouth. In any normal circumstances Ace would definitely point out that feature, but being stuck in a dream meant he was in no state of mind to distinguish fantasy from reality. The Mare was now starting to move closer, taking her time with each step. Ace attempted to move backwards and away from her, but for some weird reason, every step he took back made him move forward and closer to the Mare. This carried on until both of their cheasts were less than a centimetre away. It was then, and only then, where the music playing in the background came to a halt, leaving the atmosphere around them dead quite. Slowly, the Mare looked up to Ace, unveiling her eyes and giving him an unreadable gaze. This caused every one of his nerves to stand on end to the point where he couldn't even move the smallest bit. The Mare then took the chance to place her hoofs on his shoulders and lift herself up to his eye level, placing her face so close to Aces', their noses where gently rubbing. During this moment, her expression was giving off just a hint of suduction... Like she was about to pull him in for a kiss... However, she broke the moment by smoothly guiding her head towards his left fore leg and then his left shoulder. Ace was left in the same place he was before, still paralysed. He had no idea what she was doing or where this was going... But just then, the Mare opened her mouth, drawing out her her sharp and pointed teeth, and very lightly began to drive her front tooth through his shoulder. This caused him to wince in pain whilst staying completely still. Despite being hurt, Ace forced his head to move and see what she was doing. But, to his horror, found her mouth wide open; ready to take a massive bite!! He drilled his eyelids shut, bracing himself. But right when she was about to chomp, Ace broke free from the dream, letting out a terrified scream as he did. Just like that, Ace was back on his bed in a cold sweat, panting heavily. After a while, he finally managed to calm down and relax. He had no clue to how or why his mind would ever make such a vivid nightmare like that. Looking out of his open window, he could see that the sun was starting to rise. "Morning already?" he whispered to himself as he rubbed his eyes. After stretching his hoofs, he decided to just lay down and get continue sleeping... But when started getting comfortable, he could feel something on his back... Like somepony was hugging him. Ace's eyes widened in both shock and realisation, he had never opened the window last night. So when he slowly turned his body around to see what was holding him, he saw who else than the Mare herself. This made Ace not only scream, but also pushed himself off of the bed. "Wh-what are you doing here?!" he shouted, getting back up from falling. As if on cue, his mother practically kicked the door down. "Ace?! Are you OK?! What's going on here? And why are you-" She cut her sentence off when she saw the Mare in Aces' bed. Her jaw dropped as she began to process what was going on. Ace spared a glance at the Mare and then his mother, knowing exactly what she was thinking. " Wait! Mom, this isn't what it--" But before he could finish, she put a hoof to her head and fainted. Letting out a big ragged sigh, he started to grab his unconscious parent by the hoof and pull her back to her bed. "What a lovely way to start the morning..." he said sarcastically. The Mare, who had no idea what just happened, just nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders and went back under the covers... Author's Note Whew! I finally completed this chapter! Sorry if it took a while to get here, but if you really liked this, then please show your support by giving this fimfic a thumbs-up. It means a lot to me! But, for now, have a good one!
The Perfect DisasterView OnlineSweet, sweet mareThe Perfect DisasterThere she laid, on the cold steely floor just starving away... The pain and agony was becoming to much; Death was at her doorstep and she knew it... Every fiber of her being was screaming to just end it all, to close her eyes... To die... Despite the the lack of energy, she got back up. Her legs shook so much, her knees were almost banging against each other... Ahead of her, was a set of iron bars trapping her in the cell and teasing the thought of a seemingly impossible escape. As she inched closer to the bars, a weight was being dragged with her and they were heavy too... Turning back she could see what looked like vines attached to her spine, four disfigured and thick vines all of which lengthened to the same size as the room she was in... "I see you've noticed some changes..." on the other side of the bars was a unicorn dressed in a lab coat with a cold smile on his face. "Rise and shine...~" She jolted awake, left in a cold sweat from her terrible nightmare... Putting one hoof on her head as she attempted to recollect her thoughts and just kept telling herself that it wasn't real, blatantly lying. Because, deep down, she knew it wasn't just any normal dream, it was a reminder... A reminder that, because of that 'doctors' actions, she lost her family, her home but most importantly... She lost herself. Doctor... The mere mention of that psychopathic and poor excuse of a stallion was like venom to her tongue. Wanting to take her mind off of her current situation, she got out of the bed she was in and roamed Ace's house a bit. She examined his room and pondered at why he had so many posters of the sports pony. She had pretty much seen enough as strolled towards the door to exit... That was, until she opened the door only to find Ace's mom standing right in front of her, shooting daggers... "Answers..." she whispered coldly as she stomped towards her, only making the Mare step backwards in uncertainty and fear," I want answers... Who are you...? Why are you here? Why are you with my son?! Howlonghaveyoutwobeen together!? Whatwereyoudoinglast night, INTHESAMEBEDASHIM!!? HOWLONGHASTHISBEEN GOINGON?!" Her aggressive shouting did not give her the answers she wanted, but only caused the Mare to be pinned against the wall and even fearing for her life. "Well...?" Still... No response. Though it should've been very obvious already, she pointed at her jaw, showing her the distinct lack of a mouth. Ace's mother just sighed and placed a hoof on her temple. "Well... I guess I should've known..." Straight after, she made a perplexed gaze at the Mare. "By the way, what is going on with the whole... Y'know..." She circled her jaw. "... But still.. You must have one... Right?" The Mare nodded as she opened up, showing her razor sharp fangs. Due to her bubble gum-like properties, bits of her skin stretched across the opening, partially covered her mouth. " Dear sweet Celestia!" she exclaimed, taken back by her sights. "Just...! What... are you?" The moment that comment reached her, the Mare gave a look of disgust and high offence. 'What am I?' she thought. 'I'll tell you who I am! A pony, for buck sakes! Why should my looks get in the way of who I am?! Besides! I never even chose to be this way! Yet you have the audacity to say what are you!!--' Tiers began to form in her eyes, clouding her vision, as her anger grew... And it showed! Ace's mother, upon seeing this, took a second and her eyes widened as realised what she had done. "Oh... My... Hon, I'm so, so, so sorry about that! Listen, I didn't mean to say it like that, it's just--!" Before she could finish her sentence, the Mare abruptly barged her out the way, exiting the room before then running out the house, water flowing freely from her eyes... She didn't stop running either. In fact, she was sprinting so fast that her tiers were streaking along the side of her face. Some nearby ponies gave her confused looks as she went by, but she only cared about one thing at that moment in time... Finding Ace! *-------------------------------------------------* After some time, the Mare started to slow down and stopped in front of the fountain to catch her breath. 'Just! What... Are you?' Those words echoed in her head... Finally, she began to let out a few sobs she held in... As the Mare weeped, her reflection stared at her as she questioned: 'Why do I have to suffer because of this...?!' "How pathetic..." a familiar voice whispered in her ear. The Mare flinched in shock, turning around to find no pony around her. "Down here, you dolt!" Taking a look back in the fountains reflection, lied the stallion that created the Candy Mare... None other, than the Doctor himself! In an instant, her features went sour and extreme amounts of hate filled her. "Yeeew...!" She said, her voice contorted to the point where she was barely understandable. The Doctor gave a psychopathic smile in return. "Ah! So you do remember me! Then again... Who could forget the genius the is me...!" He said smugly. This only caused the Mare to go more red with rage. "Yew... Did... thissss... To ME! Yew... CURSSSED me!" The Doctor only shook his head. "'Cursed'? My, my! You've got it all wrong!" "Exssplain...!" He made a grimacing of his own. "Oh, come on! Can't you see!? I blessed you with power... And plenty of it! Think about it, all the destruction... All the chaos... No pony could challenge you! I built you as an experimental prototype... Yet I've created potentially the most powerful Mare in all of equestria! All of this...! Because I fused you with candy..." He chuckled to himself. "Who knew something so sweet could be so deadly...!" She frantically shook her head in dismay. "No... Don't want thiss!" "Too bad! I'd say I've given you the trade of a lifetime... Total power... In exchange for your looks..." In that sudden moment, something in the Mare snapped. A sharp vine violently sprouted out of her spine, she aimed it at the Doctor. "DIE!!!" "What in the blazes is going on?!" Her vine halted right before it could even come into contact with the water. She turned around to find an orange pony with a stretson hat starting directly at her in absolute shock and stun. "Are you feelin' alright, ma'am?" Author's Note Whew!
