Disclaimer to readers of this story: I have not seen the rest of Gotham season 4 I've only seen clips, this story shows Ed Nygma Aka the Riddler in Equestria as his adventures through this world, enjoy the story.
The Riddler wakes up in a field checking his surroundings the place he was in look cartoonish the grass, the trees, the bushes, almost everything around him look like it was in a cartoon. He could see Infront of him a long walk away he saw a castle, Ed remembers being stabbed by Lee and he stabbing Lee and them both kissing and both dying, before going black.
Earlier
Twilights Castle
Twilight inside is doing chores inside the castle, Cleaning, Dusting and Sorting for a few minutes then goes the library to read The History of the Pillars Vol.1 by Starswril that Twilight got an early copy of the day before. Reading through it Twilight learns new things about the pillar she never knew. Like adventures never heard before and beasts that she had never heard of.
There's a knock at the door, Twilights opens it to find Starlight there at the door. She lets Starlight in the room
Starlight sees the book on the table "Whatcha reading" Starlight said.
"I'm reading Starswrils new book volume one a day early, inside there's adventures that were never told in history books," Twilight said.
"Let me guess it was a gift for helping them bring back Stygian," She said,
Twilight nodded "each one of the pillars wrote a section of the novel" Twilight said. She shows Starlight the pages when they both see falling out of the sky a green light they see it hit the ground.
"Did you see that?" she said.
"We need to get the others," Starlight said.
"I agree with you starlight it could be dangerous we'll need to be cautious," The lavender Alicorn said.
Twilight and both get Spike then head to the front door, they open the door to find Rainbow Dash alrighty at the door "did you see that" she asked.
"Yes we did, we need to get the others," Starlight said.
"I'm on it," Rainbow said. Rainbow speeds away a few minutes later others trotted toward them while Pinkie being Pinkie hopped her away there.
"Oh did anypony see the green light in the sky?" Pinkie asked.
Rainbow facepalms "Pinkie that's why we're here," she said.
"I thought we were doing a top-secret meeting," Pinkie said.
"Girls were going see what that green light was that fell from the sky, but I recommend we stay cautious after all we don't know what it is," Twilight said.
"Let's go, girls," she said. They go down the path down to the nearest field to find out what mysterious light that feels from the sky.
Present
Ed was looking around trying to make sense of where he was. He few meters away from him was his hat he picked it up and put it on top of his head, not before long Ed starts to hear voices coming closer to his position.
"The location of where the green light fell is to the right over here," Twilight said.
Ed looks over a hill in the field to see ponies that are supposed myths "how is this possible, what is this place?" Ed said. Ed moves back a little bit down the hill but judging by the voices the ponies were female. The ponies were coming toward him as they reach the top of the hill, they look down to see Ed looking back at them.
Ed notices something, the cyan rainbow maned pony wasn't there, where did she go? That answer was soon solved by a bonk on his head knocking him out, his unconscious body falling to the ground with Rainbow Dash hovering in mid-air holding a baseball bat in her hooves.
"Rainbow Dash," Rarity said.
"What, you said to be cautious," Rainbow said.
Twilight facepalms herself "Ahhh, but this does give us a chance to inspect it," she said. Twilight and her friends walked toward the unconscious body of the riddler.
"Well, it is well dressed," Rarity said.
"I've never seen anything like this in Equestria," Twi said.
"Where did it come from?" AppleJack asked.
"we need to take it back to castle, maybe when it wakes up it will give answers of how came falling from the sky?" Twilight said.
"Twilight, I don't think that's a good idea, I mean it could harm us do you really want to take that chance?" Rainbow said.
"I get your worried Rainbow but we need to find answers and won't do that unless we take the creature back to the castle," Twi said.
After being persuaded Rainbow finally gives in and takes Ed back to the castle. They carry the unconscious body of Ed toward the castle, Twilight opens the door to the castle as the others bring Nygma inside.
They place Ed in a room on the main floor, all of them gather in the room looking at Ed on the bed " what do we do now? Starlight asked.
"Now we wait" Twilight said.
"Wait we'll need someone to keep watch" Rainbow said.
"I could," Spike said. They all looked at him,"Are you sure about this Spike" Rarity said.
"I'm sure I'll be fine," he said.
"Ok then it's settled Spike will keep watch," Twilight said.
"What do we do till then?" Pinkie asked.
"We need to discuss what we do when the creature gets up," Twi said.
They all nodded and start to leave room Spike stops in front of the door, Twilight turns around and pats spike on the head "Stay safe Spike" she said. Twilight leaves Spike and goes to the map room to discuss with the others.
One Hour Later
Spike has fallen asleep on the Job while Ed regains consciousness and wakes up in the bed. Ed tries to remember what happened until he feels a pain in the back of his head, then it hit him, he had been knocked unconscious while he was looking at the ponies.
Ed gets out of bed to find his hat on the dresser, he puts it on and continues to the door and looks out to see a sleeping baby dragon, Nygma couldn't believe his eyes a real baby dragon "well he is in a world where there are unicorns and horses with wings" he thought.
He gets passed the sleeping baby dragon and tries to find the exit to the place he was in. He here's voices in the room next to him, he looks into the ponies he saw before discussing something. Ed heard a little bit "again what do we do when the creature wakes up" the rainbow-maned pony asked.
"We ask him questions about how it got here and how it fell from the sky," the Alicorn said.
"Again we must be cautious we don't know what it can do," the lavender Alicorn said.
Ed stops listening and continues to find the door, he finds himself in the entrance hallway and he looks around at the crystal walls of the castle while walking toward the exit. He leaves the castle gets outside, outside Ed sees a town not far from where the place he once was in, he starts going walking toward the town.
Inside the castle, Twilight and her friends are just finishing the discussion "ok is everybody clear?" Twilight asked.
"Yep," Applejack said. "Clear" Rarity said. "Got it," Rainbow said. "Got it," Pinkie said. Fluttershy just nodded, "let's check on Spike" Twilight said.
They get up and start walking toward the creature's room to find a sleeping Spike, they check inside to find that the creature is gone. Twilight goes to Spike and wakes him up "What is it, oh, hey Twilight" Spike said.
"Spike, the creature is gone," she said.
Spike looks inside the room and backs out "it must have left when I was sleeping" he said.
"How long ago could you say," Rainbow asked.
"I don't know by the looks it of it could 5 to 10 minutes ago," Applejack said.
"It couldn't have gotten far," Starlight said.
"We need to go into town and find it," Fluttershy said.
"I agree with Fluttershy, I need to throw a party for it," Pinkie said.
"Not now Pinkie," Rainbow said.
"Let's go," Twilight said.
They trot out of the room and to the entrance of the castle, Twilight and her friends go outside "the creature might be in town" Starlight said.
"let's go check," Rainbow said.
Rainbow flys toward Ponyville with the others following behind her.
Ed has reached the town but not be seen he goes into an alleyway, he looks out of the alleyway to see ponies of all different species Pegasuses, Unicorns and Horses. He turns around to a scared pony behind him, "what are you" the pony said.
"I'm the Riddler," Ed said. Ed starts walking toward the and the thinks of a riddle. "I light up a room but when my light dim's I need to be refilled, what am I," Ed said.
"Um, wax," the pony said.
"No! That's your first try, two more" Riddler said.
Now the strange creature is scaring him "uh, a candle" he said.
"Wrong," Ed said. he facepalms himself then regains his composure "one more" he said.
"Um, um, I don't know," The pony said. In rage, Ed takes his knife out and jabs it in the ponies chest and takes it out. The pony falls to the ground blood stained on the ground, "the answer was a lantern" Riddler said. Ed walks away into another alleyway.
One minute later
Rainbow lands in front of Ponyville, she hears a sound, a sound of coughing. She turns her head to see a pony on the ground bleeding, she goes to the pony, "Who did this to you?" she asked.
The pony taking his last breath said "The Riddler" before dying in his own blood.
