Night Mist is a young detective who moves to Ponyville. He doesn't want friendship. Why is that? Is it because he's too shy? Is it because he's a jerk? Or is it because of his past that haunts him to this day?

His first case is to find three royal guards who mysteriously dissapeared overnight.

Now Night Mist is forced to work with Twilight and her friends to help find some missing royal guards.
