New Legends and Old Myths

"So this place isn't just a myth, and the idea of a destroyed world below us is also real." Silver Spoon said,also trying to avoid stepping in mud.

"Yes, now the safest place for us is Canterlot Castle, easily defensible and with the magic that Flurry Heart, Blueblood and I have we can easily take Chrysalis on." Sunset said, not knowing that the aforementioned changeling was already there.

"Sorry to disappoint you Councilor, but you will not be getting past my armada, and before you ask, I already restored their memories so they are loyal to me." Chrysalis said as she revealed the presence of her army.

"Not today Chrysalis, for the great and powerful Trixie along with faithful friend, Starlight Glimmer will beat you." Trixie said with a powerful glare.

"Don't forget about me girls." A lone changeling said triumphantly.

"Thorax, get back in rank or be obliterated!" Chrysalis said with shock and anger in her voice.

"No, you need to learn that your idea of and feeding off of love is wrong and that giving and sharing love and friendship will forever stave off our hunger."

"Never mind that, we need to run and I know just the place." Flurry Heart said with panic, she teleported the new arrivals and her group to the now decrepit and crumbling Canterlot Castle.

Everypony just looked at their surroundings in awe, the fact that they were standing inside an actual hoof made structure.

"Report Chrysalis,!" Sombra said in a commanding tone.

"They escaped, and there are more who joined them, that self absorbed commander, and Sunset Shimmers personal aid along with somepony among the ranks of my armada." Sombra was not pleased with this, first his opponent on the council and now those within his makeshift triumvirate, he was about ready to lose his temper had there not been a knock on his door.

"Enter." He commanded.

"Your guest has arrived chancellor." came the reply of his aid.

"Let him in." Sombra ordered without looking away from his desk.

"Well Sombra I must admit that if you called me here then you must be up to something, and I am more than happy to help if it gets rid of Flurry Heart." The guest said from inside of a hood.

"Well then you are just who I need for this job, I assume that I can count on you, Discord." Sombra said as they both stared at each other.

Meanwhile at Canterlot Castle, Blueblood, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Thorax and Flurry Heart had gathered in the throne room to discuss something that they told the others was something that shouldn't have been discussed around them.

"If I am remembering clearly then Twilight told you how to release herself and the others from the elements, Starlight." Sunset said, a slight hint of worry in her voice.

"Yes but we need all of the elements gathered in one place, and we need to find the mirror that was used to go to that other world so that we can locate the princesses." After Starlight had finished talking, everypony was simply looking at her in wonder.

"The princesses and Shining armor located a world where they could bide their time in a sort of stasis, this way they could wake when the time was right, but it seems that we need to wake them now." Once the message sank in that they would find three of the alicorn princesses, the were filled with a high level of determination.

"Just how do you propose we find this mirror, especially since I Trixie, could not, and yes Trixie looked in all possible locations as per instructions." Trixie asked and stated at the same time.

"Well first we find the last two elements, but before we do anything, I know that Chrysalis is not Sombra's only friend in this quest for power, Discord is also involved, the only problem is that he still hasn't got his memory back, and it is unlikely that he will." Blueblood said with worry.

"Well then you're in luck because I know where to find it, the one place that Trixie didn't look, the mirror is in Twilights castle in Old Ponyville." Sunset Shimmer said.

"Well then what are we waiting for, especially since that is close enough to several places where the last two elements may be hidden." Thorax said with determination.

The next morning everypony had gathered in the throne room, those who were not present for the discussion were updated on where they would be going and what they were looking for, but not why.

It had taken several hours by hoof to get to Ponyville, the reason the group went by hoof was so that nopony could track any magic, the group found the castle and that was when Blueblood made everypony stop.

"Alright everypony, here is how we go about this, Thorax and Starlight, the two of you will take those who already have their elements, as for the rest of us, we will find the mirror while they find the remaining elements." Blueblood said as everypony divided into their groups.

It wasn't long before Sunset recommended checking the library for the mirror, and sure enough it was there, and still set to how it was when the plan was put into motion so long ago.

As for the others, the first place they all thought to check for the element of kindness was Fluttershy's shack, though it took a while, they found it, and they made sure that it was kept from sight by putting it into a chest like box.

After about 3 hours, everypony had regrouped at the castle, and discussed which of the two remaining ponies would get the element of kindness, after about half an hour, Apple Bloom jumped into the conversation.

"Look just give it ta Silver Spoon, and be done with it." Apple Bloom said with a commanding tone.

"I don't think it is a good idea." Blueblood said.

"Look I don't care anymore, Silver Spoon come over here please." Flurry Heart said.

"Yes." was all Silver Spoon was able to say given the fact that she was nervous.

"Put this on." Flurry Heart Requested.

"Where am I?"

"You're seeing what my home was once like, and that the forest wasn't always this bad." Fluttershy explained.

"I see, well I don't know if I can ever live up to what you were, but thank you Fluttershy." With that, the conversation ended and Silver Spoon woke from her sleep, only to find that everypony had relocated to the Crystal Empire.

"Sorry for the relocation, but the moment you put the necklace on,the changeling armada descended on Ponyville." Flurry Heart explained.

"Is the mirror still safe?" Silver Spoon asked.

"Yes it and the contraption it was hooked up to have been teleported here with us." After hearing that, Silver Spoon relaxed a little, but still had one other concern. "What about the element of laughter?" Flurry Heart actually didn't seem to worried when she heard that question.

"Well, before leaving I quickly found it, I have yet to give it to it's rightful wearer." This caused Silver Spoon to relax completely.

But one thing was certain, it would take some time to execute the final phase of the plan to revive Old Equus and defeat the evils that threaten her.
