The Tale of Vinyl's Triumph.
It’s the early 1940s, things are getting rough in Europe for the Allies against the Nazi war machine, but they have an ace up their sleeve. Come 1942, they are ready to turn their little secret loose, their little pony. Her name is Vinyl, Vinyl Scratch, and why she may seem innocent enough, with her bass cannon she is a force to be reckoned with. Strong enough to blast Discord clear through the Everfree forest, it was just what they needed to turn the war around and drive back the Nazi regime.
Having already pushed the Nazis out of Stalingrad in 1943 and the vast forests, now war ravaged wastelands, the Soviets were ready to begin their assault on Germany. The pony DJ was sent first to Poland to clean up what scraps of Wehrmacht was left, foolishly opposing the onslaught of vengeful Russians and pure bass. With a few modifications to the cannon to make it easier to navigate the icy terrain, Vinyl was sitting in what was the ultimate weapon. The Nazis had tried to replicate it, but failed terribly. With the Axis losing ground every day, and with it soldiers and the motivation to fight, the war was nearly over. At this point, the Wehrmacht knew Vinyl well, and laid down their arms just at the sight of her and her wub-producing cannon, painted to match her now legendary mane. As the Red Army pushed towards Germany, the resistance became far fiercer, but still nothing a good shock wave of pure bass couldn’t handle. That is until 1944 when they hit the heart of Germany, in Berlin.
With her unmistakable blue mane and trademark glasses, Vinyl was ready to kick some serious flank. Her first assignment: Normandy, France. She was first in, softening up Juno beach with her bass cannon, the shock waves blasting away anyone and anything not bolted down or in a bunker. Combined with relentless shelling from Allied ships, the beach was eventually taken and the Nazis forced to retreat. Pushing through the French countryside, with Vinyl as the spearhead, the US, French, and British troops had morale boosted like their commanders had never seen. Literally shattering Panzers and shaking Stukas out of the sky, it seemed that there was nothing the Nazis could throw at the troops that wasn’t deflected by the shockwave of the cannon, or completely obliterated. Once they were confident in their ability to hold France, the Allies transferred Vinyl to the Russian front, where huge strides had already been taken towards victory.
Things got a little rocky in Berlin, the lines became thicker and the Germans were more determined than ever before to defend their land. Vinyl would blast them with her cannon, and it would seem as though there’d be two men to take the places of the ones who were lost. But she was determined to liberate the German people from their oppressive rulers, and was relentless in her efforts to do so. The deeper into the city she got, the more confident she became. Not only that, but she finally decided to use the full ear-shattering power of her cannon. The blasts were shattering windows all the way across the city, along with crumbling a few building weakened by bombings. With the very foundation of the Reichstag shaking and ready to crumble, along with its army, Germany was ready to surrender.
No one knows for sure how the war would’ve turned out had Vinyl Scratch never joined the cause, but there’s no doubt it would have been drastically different.
