Continuing from Volume 1, Dawn Spark finally learns how her parents Sunset Shimmer and Vincent van Colt became a couple. Afterwards, she learns about the death of Sunset's birth mother Icy Heart, Starlight Glimmer's downfall at Canterlot High, the relationship of Comet Tail and Song Cue being put to the test, Rarity and Math Equation becoming a couple, and a series of events during Abacus Cinch's reign as mayor that changed the lives of many living in Rainbow Falls forever. And to cap it all off, Vincent reveals some events that nearly resulted in him and Sunset losing each other forever.

The majority of the story is Sunset/OC with doses of TwiSentry, Somblestia, Rarity/OC, Comet Tail/OC, and many other shippings. Soundtrack based upon the solo Beatles recordings. Story is rated T, but that is subject to change.
