Wonderbolt Warm-down
[CH2] - The Reprimand
Previous ChapterThe Reprimand
“Good work, Soarin,” A feminine voice rasped from behind us, it was distinct, and I realised immediately that I’d heard this pony before. “Giving the rookie a good warm down before heading off, I see?”
Spitfire!?
My body froze, I was mortified that we had been discovered as shockwaves ran through my body tearing my nerves to shreds. I knew she could see everything, from my flagged tail, exposed flanks to my vagina on full display with Soarin’s cock buried deep within it! In those moments of horror I felt like I could have cried, my mind kicking into overdrive as it tried to come up with some fandangled excuse as to why me and my Wonderbolt senior were conjoined at the hip.
‘This is it,’ My mind cried. ‘My career is over!’
I’d go down in history for the fastest expulsion from the Wonderbolts’ first squad, how could I have been so arrogant to think we wouldn’t get caught? Underneath the turmoil of my mind, I was partly glad that my face was out of view of Spitfire’s view.
“I want an explanation – STAT!” The same raspy voice echoed around the damp shower stall walls.
I felt Soarin’s body tense up beneath me, I could feel him making small movements to uncouple our hips, I suppose I should give some credit to the shock that had turned Soarin’s pride into something not even a mother could be proud of. I tensed at the question to, a hot flush that attempted to soothe my nerves that now ached with anxiety.
I cringed at the feeling in my loins, shuddering violently as I felt Soarin’s limp dick finally escape my exposed vagina, followed by Soarin easing the weight that he had placed upon my back. Just knowing that this entire situation could have been avoided made me want to tear the stallion’s throat out, I state now that if he had listened to me we wouldn’t have been caught.
“W-we were inspecting the flying equipment, but we j-just wanted-“ ~~The waste of space~~ Soarin stammered, desperately trying to find some way to appeal to Spitfire and convince her that her eyes were playing tricks on her mind. He knew as well as I that sex between flyers was a strict no-no, and he was now feeling the looming threat of expulsion descend on him.
Of course, I was in the same boat, but for me it was clear that we weren’t going to be able to explain our way out of this situation. We had been caught, and by Wonderbolt rules, Spitfire had to inform the higher ups of the organisation of our blatant failure to follow said rules. I didn’t even try to turn and face Spitfire, I just couldn’t. I felt like scuttling away into the darkest, dampest corner to never return.
“Are you practising for the Innuendo Squad, Soarin?” Spitfire injected with an authoritative tone and in mere moments an air of silence descended within the shower stall. “Do you not realise how many Wonderbolt regulations you two are currently breaching?”
I could hear her voice rise in pitch and volume as the brunt of the situation dawned upon her, she would inevitably have to be the one to report that two of her best flyers would be suspended due to sexual relations.
“I-er…” Soarin tried again to present his case to the merciless jury that was Spitfire. “This isn’t what it looks li-“
“Shut it!” Spitfire lashed at the stallion, clearly having none of Soarin’s bullshit, the same attitude I should have had with the stallion. “One more word out of you, before I ask for it, and I’ll march you both up to the Disciplinary Office before you can even say the word ‘Suspended pending Inquiry!”
‘Suspended pending In-‘
“Rainbow Dash!” My body tensed up as my soon-to-be-former-captain’s verbal assault finally latched onto me, ready to rip me to shreds. “You will turn and face me this instant!”
My wish to crawl into a dark corner tripled as I felt the Pegasus’s wrathful gaze hit the back of my neck. How was I meant to face her in this situation?
I’m pretty sure that’s it’s obvious that the entire ordeal scared me, but it was my body’s reaction to the fear that showed the true extent. My body was more than willing to show my fear to the world and I can only imagine the spectacle that Spitfire was being shown. In my near-prone form, there was nothing I could do to stop my tail from flagging like a ship’s mast and with my body literally folding up into the foetal position I didn’t feel able to cover myself.
“I’m waiting, Dash.” The voice of Spitfire sounded off again, spitting my name out like an insult showing that she was rapidly losing patience with me.
I knew that I was on my last warning with Spitfire and continued refusal to cooperate would only ensure that I received the maximum form of punishment that the Wonderbolts could issue – termination of my current contract. I just wanted this situation to end!
However, I knew in my heart that I had to turn around and face her, to act with at least some form of dignity. But, just because my mind was willing, it didn’t mean that my body was going to follow instructions immediately as my muscles and joints continued to be frozen in place for another couple of moments. With that said, slowly, but surely, my body listened to me and relaxed enough for my limbs to pry away from each other.
My breathing was still very shaky as I uncoupled my limbs, occasionally letting a heavy breath escape from my throat signalling to all about how nervous I was. It didn’t help that it was near impossible to gain control of my tail and stop it from flagging, I can’t deny that my loins still required a release which now was not going to come. Moving my front hooves in front of me, I pushed against the cold tiles below and raised myself upon weary legs, moving slowly to make sure I didn’t fall on my aching backside.
Shaky hooves are very difficult to maneuver, so I was careful not to take any overly-large steps as I turned my body around to face the sound of my captain, slowly bringing her into view. And there she was, the yellow pegasus that was the cause of my fear and anxiety and the sole reason it was flaring past the point of normal rational thought. Whilst I was letting the initial sight of my Captain sink in, I quickly picked up that there was something different about Spitfire. She was wet, very
wet. And soapy?
‘Well, duh…’ A voice from the back of my mind shouted at me.
I was slow to pick up on it back then, but now I can see that it made sense. She was the equine we heard taking a shower, my guess is that she had heard enough of us to warrant leaving her shower stall before having actually washed the soap off. Let me tell you that I don’t get to see this very often.
This situation was intense, but in any other encounter with Spitfire I think I might have laughed right in her face there and then. I mean, it was amusing to me how goofy the mare looked as she stood in the dim light trying to maintain her powerful persona and stormy-looking face that had fine orange hair clinging tightly against her stern face.
I couldn’t read Spitfire, not many Wonderbolts could, she never spent enough time around any of us outside of practice and shows to pick up on her mannerisms or sense of humour. And yet, she could read a pony like a book – it’s very likely that it’s one of the qualities that landed her the Wonderbolt captaincy in the first place.
“I-er…” I stumbled incoherently, furiously racking my frazzled brain for something, anything, to say.
While I was mumbling away to myself, I was subconsciously resigned to my fate and knew what faced me and Soarin for being caught. To be honest, there was even a part of me that was surprised that Spitfire hadn’t already dragged us down to the Disciplinary Office – although you wouldn’t find me complaining about it.
Bumbling away, it begrudgingly dawned upon me what needed to be done, it was a fact that both me and Soarin were culpable for engaging in a sexual relationship, but it’s also true that I was the one who instigated the whole encounter.
‘I know what needs to be said!’ I valiantly exclaimed – in my head – my eyes possessing more of a glint of determination than of sadness and defeat. My plan was simple, but yet affective – I would take the blame for the situation and just maybe I would get Soarin off the hook.
‘It’s foolproof!’ I thought to myself, reinforcing my crumbling backbone and allowing a bit of confidence to flow from my body language which helped me to speak up. “Please, Sp-pitife… I instigated this, not him…”
I paused for a second, formulating what my next few words would be, a quick glance at Spitfire told me that she was not going to calm down any time soon as she pursed her lips together in some form of half-snarl.
“Dash, don-” Soarin took my pause as an opportunity for him to take control of the conversation in order to write his own series of events. Thankfully however, he needn’t have opened his jaw as his interruption prompted a swift glare from the angry Spitfire and her soapy mane that was starting to let the suds drip down onto her yellow coat.
With Soarin now quiet and looking somewhat sheepish, I managed to continue. “Spitfire, I’m the one to blame for this, Soarin shouldn’t be punished.”
As I finished I let go a baited breath that I had not realised I had been holding in, inhaling shakily trying my best to replenish the oxygen in my lungs before I passed out. I could only watch Spitfire during the next few seconds, waiting with a resigned belief that I would not be a Wonderbolt by this time the next day.
Within those moments that I waited, I watched Spitfire shift her hooves uncharacteristically, obviously torn about the situation. The yellow-furred mare was clearly uncomfortable with the idea of losing her top-flyer and Soarin, I don’t think I would be able to do it – especially with important shows to perform in over the coming weeks.
“For what you’ve done…” Spitfire finally spoke with a stern voice, breaking the silence that had clung to the blue stall walls, trailing off as she thought out her words. “You both deserve to be kicked out of the Wonderbolts.”
With the fear of suspension hanging over my head, my head swirled with so many different emotions – too many to properly reign in. Spitfire’s words were in danger of breaking my heart and caused me stutter and mumble as I tried to press the mare further for a clear answer.
“Does…” I paused, a pitcrevice forming in my stomach, filling my being with dread from the next decision Spitfire would have to make. “this mean w-we’re going to be reported?”
“Speak up, Dash!” Spitfire was obviously losing her patience and I’ll hold my hooves I the air and admit that my response to the situation was shocking. Shocking enough for the Captain to lose her rag with me. “Do you think this some form of joke?”
‘No!’ I felt like shouting out of protest at the crude remark – this really was humiliating – and as much as I wanted to be anywhere else in the known universe, I had to stay and listen to it all. “Will we be suspended?”
Our Wonderbolt captain stood there for a second, clearly pondering what she was going to do with us. She exchanged quick glances with both me and Soarin, her eyelids narrowing into a hard glare as her head snapped from me to the stallion. She did this for nearly half a minute before she lightly shook her from left to right, spraying droplets of water against the blue tiles to the shower stall walls, letting out a frustrated sigh.
“No.” Spitfire finally broke the silence of the shower stall like a knife through hot butter, completely shattering my expectations.
My head spun with confusion, we had been caught - fair and square - having sex with one another and she wasn’t going to report us for breaking a rule that’s punishable with suspension from the organisation? Sounds like poor leadership if you ask me.
‘Oh, shut up’, A voice at the back of my mind lambasted at me harshly. I suppose it was right, I was at the yellow pegasus’s mercy and she was going to let me off? I needed to keep my mouth shut or I was going to be in real trouble.
Although, I couldn’t help but feel a hopeful smile warm my maw due to the relief, but before I could speak or thank Spitfire for her generosity the mare opened her mouth to speak again.
“You think I’m losing two of my best flyers weeks before our flagship event?” Spitfire asked, incredulity hanging thick in her words. “I’ll be damned if I have to turn up to Canterlot flanked by rookies while your suspensions hang over us like a bad smell.”
In hindsight, I suppose ponies could label Spitfire as being “selfish” for letting rulebreakers off just to cover her own flank. However, I can sort of respect her decision, if she did turn up to Canterlot with rookies and have a bad performance she would take the blame. She could even lose her captaincy for not having her underlings properly drilled for a flagship show in the capital.
To be continued…
