"You what!?"
Suri's face was frozen into an expression of shock. Jaw hung loose, eyes bugged out, left eyelid twitching every so slightly. If Coco had the opportunity to take a photo of it and frame it, she would have.
"You heard me," said Coco. Her hands were held behind her back, strategically hiding the object she grasped in her palms. "I quit."
"But... but... no!" Suri stammered back. Her arms quivered with rage as her hands balled tightly into fists. "You can't quit! You're the one keeping my schedule, and the contest results are coming in today! You have to make sure that I'm at Prim Hemline's office in time to receive my trophy!"
Coco's lips turned upward, into a thin smirk. "Actually, that won't be an issue. I've already spoken with Prim and received the trophy." She pulled the trophy out from behind her back, and held it foward, just in front of Suri's face. "See?"
Suri's eyes lit up at the sight of the trophy. "Ah, wonderful! Great job, Coco, I— wait." Her eyes narrowed, and almost instantly her initial elation vanished. "What!? Rarity!? Is this some sort of sick joke!? How could she possibly have beaten me!? Coco, you march right back to Prim's office and tell her to hand over the trophy for the rightful winner!"
Coco shook her head. "You really don't get it, do you? This trophy does belong to the rightful winner. A pony who's ten times the designer and a hundred times the mare you'll ever be. That's why I'm done working for you."
Without another word, Coco turned around and began walking down the hallway, already off to deliver the trophy to Rarity. The last thing she saw of Suri before she turned away was another priceless expression, like her former boss had just been slapped directly across the face. Her stride as she walked was filled with a confidence in herself that she'd never felt before, her tail swishing behind her in mocking swagger. She could practically hear Suri's blood boiling as she walked.
"You can't quit." Suri's words came forcefully from behind. There was an odd timbre to them, and Coco could tell right away that they were spoken through gritted teeth. As she turned around to face her now-former boss, she could see that Suri was trembling from head to toe in rage.
"I told you, I already have."
"No, you incompetent nitwit!" Suri bellowed. "You literally can't quit! It's in the freaking contract that you signed!"
Coco froze. Her hands slipped briefly, and she had to force herself to catch the trophy again as it fell from her grasp. "What?"
"It's right here, you moron!" Suri shouted back. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a scroll, which unfurled into a short document written in ink, with Coco's signature in large cursive print at the bottom. Her finger pointed to the center of the document, toward a line just beneath one of the many sub-headings. "Right here, in the agreement you signed! Plain as day! Not even in the fine print! You have to give two weeks' notice before leaving my employment!"
Coco felt her heart drop. "I..."
"Go ahead and deliver your stupid trophy! I don't care!" Suri yelled. "But I expect to see your worthless ass at my office tomorrow, as well as every day for the next two weeks! Or else I'll sue you into oblivion for breach of contract!"
A cold, icy crawled its way up Coco's spine. Two weeks. Ten more days of enduring Suri's constant verbal lashings. Maybe even fourteen, if Suri could find a way to force her to work weekends. Knowing her, it's likely that she would somehow. It took everything she had to force herself to suppress a shudder.
No, she couldn't do it. She couldn't put up with it. There had to be another way out. Something she could do to get Suri out of her mane forever...
"Fine," Coco curtly replied. "I will."
As she sauntered off, her mind was already filled with thoughts of revenge. Tasty, tasty revenge.
The next day, Coco had returned to Suri's office, as promised. She had already delivered the trophy to Rarity the previous day, and seen her off as she left for Ponyville. She had even accepted Rarity's offer to work for her friend, the Bridleway costume designer.
But soon, she found herself returning to Suri's office. For four hours straight, she endured all manner of abuse, even worse than before now that Suri had no reason to pretend to be nice to her. But it would all be worth it, in the end. Oh, so worth it.
Coco had been forced to work through her own lunch break, all while Suri took a break of her own to relax... or so she had thought. She'd sent Coco on a coffee run, in exactly the abrasive way she'd come to expect.
"...and it had better be the best damn coffee I've ever tasted, or else you'll be licking it off of the thrice-damned floor!"
Recalling the words sent a shudder down her spine. There was no doubt in Coco's mind that Suri had meant it. None of her threats that day had been hyperbole or exaggeration in the slightest. But still she endured, confident that Suri would get her rightful comeuppance. Oh yes, she would.
Coco returned shortly with the fruits of her errand. In one hand was a cup of coffee, a dark roast sans cream or sugar, taken freshly from a nearby street vendor. It was no different from any other coffee vendor in Manehattan, but that didn't matter. In her other hand was a simple paper bag, containing a cheese-and-tomato sandwich that she had bought from another vendor. As she stepped into the office, she paused momentarily at a nearby desk, setting both her lunch and the coffee lid down. Carefully, she pried the lid off of the plastic cup, being sure not to spill any of its scalding contents. Then, reaching into her pocket, she pulled out something else, holding it up before her eye.
It was a tiny cloth bag, filled with a soft material with the consistency of sand. She had obtained it months ago from a black-market dealer of contraband goods, on Suri's orders. She never got the chance to find out what Suri had wanted it for, as Suri herself had promptly forgotten about it when a new series of dress orders came in, but that hardly mattered now. Now, she had everything she needed.
She carefully untied the string with her fingers, and watched as the white, faintly-glowing powder poured out. The coffee bubbled and hissed as it accepted the powder, before finally settling back into the inky black consistency. She placed the lid back on, feeling satisfaction tug at the corners of her lips.
Perfect.
Coco grabbed the coffee in her left hand and her lunch in her right, and headed towards Suri's office. The door was closed, and behind it she could see her soon to be ex-boss sitting at her desk. Carefully, she gripped the doorknob with her right hand, holding in just the right way to turn it while still gripping her lunch bag by fold of its opening. As she walked in, Suri took a look upward from a piece of paperwork and sneered.
"It's about damn time. Give me that."
Coco held out the coffee cup, and it was summarily snatched away by Suri's greedy hand. She leaned her head backward and tilted the cup to her mouth, guzzling the entire cup's contents within seconds. Coco couldn't help but grin at the sight. Suri had always been a glutton for anything caffeinated. When she finished, she slammed the now-empty cup against the desk, and let out a satisfied sigh.
"Hmmph. Not bad, I guess. Interesting flavor, too. What did you... you..."
Suri's words trailed off. The moment she saw Coco's expression, her face had gone dark. Coco smiled back, not a cheerful smile, but a smile like a predator that had just cornered its prey.
Immediately, Suri began breaking into an intense coughing fit. She slumped over against her desk, gasping and wheezing as she struggled for air. "C-c... Coco! What... what is this!? What have you done!?"
Coco licked her lips hungrily. "Simple. I went out to get lunch."
Then, Suri's entire body began to glow. Cloaked in harsh, sickly light, she began to diminish.
When Suri finally came to, she found herself pinned to the ground. A great weight was pressing down on her back from above, suffocating her as she lay flat on her stomach, against something wet and rubbery. Though the weight above was crushing, at the same time it had a decidedly soft feeling to it, its spongy texture rubbing against her hair. There was little light for her to see her surroundings by, save for a tiny leakage of light coming from a thin horizontal opening in the space in front of her. It looked as though she had been pressed between two enormous, flattened objects.
Panic surged through her chest, and Suri desperately began to wriggle towards the opening. As she moved, she could feel the wet objects jostling beneath her, staining her clothes with its juices. There were gaps in them, alongside several hard, stone-like objects seemingly lodged in its structure, and based on what she felt it seemed like they were roughly disc-shaped. Beneath them she could feel a thin, rubbery sheet of something else with a waxy texture, and as her hands flailed she could feel something big and leafy as well. She gave the sensations no mind as she slowly yet surely crawled towards the opening. The light intensified as she approached, and at last she managed to squeeze her upper torso out of the opening. At last, she was free.
What she saw almost immediately made her shriek. There, right in front of her eyes was Coco Pommel, but it was not the mare she knew. She was enormous, her gargantuan face more than four times taller than Suri herself, every detail of her visage magnified by her vast size. She was grasping the two massive objects pinning Suri in her hands, and as she glanced back to look at them, her entire body involuntarily seized in terror.
Suri was being held between two slices of bread. She an ingredient in a massive sandwich, alongside several slices of tomato, slab of cheese, and several pieces of iceberg lettuce. And as she looked forward again, Coco's behemoth maw opened up, until it eclipsed the entirety of her field of vision.
"No, wait! STOP!"
But by then, it was too late. The maw moved forward in a swift, singular motion, and before she could even react to it Suri felt its hot, sticky breath wafting across her entire body. Her torso was rapidly brought forward, over the immense tongue, which was slick with glistening saliva. Above and below, the giant teeth clamped down, and for a split second Suri believed that it would be the end of her.
What happened next was almost worse. Instead of cutting through her body, the sharp incisors chopped through the entire sandwich, just behind her feet. Suri was sent tumbling into the mouth alongside a giant clump of bread, vegetables and cheese. Her entire world became a blur as the teeth gnashed up and down, chewing and chewing, sending her tumbling across the moist cavern.
Yet even still, none of the rapidly clamping teeth seemed to come close to injuring her body. The tongue was always wrestling with her, wrapping itself around her, ensnaring her with its thick, slimy muscle in a way that prevented her from being touched by any of the teeth. It ran up and down the length of her body, probing her curves, prodding at her breasts, tummy, and buttocks, drenching her clothes in hot, sticky saliva. An echoing moan came from the back of the cavern, sending another blast of warm air across Suri's body.
Suri's heart skipped a beat at the realization. Coco wasn't just eating her. Coco was savoring her.
Then, the mouth went still. No more gnashing teeth, no more writhing tongue, no motion except for the soft undulation of the moist surface beneath her and the gentle drips from the roof of the mouth. All around her were slick globs of chewed-up food, each coated in a thin layer of saliva.
"Coco!" Suri screamed. "This isn't funny! Let me out!"
Another moan came from the back of the cavern, followed by another blast of hot air. For a moment, it almost sounded like Coco was trying to reply, but the lingering echoes across her palate made it impossible to distinguish what she had said. Suri shivered slightly, and a quiet sob escaped her throat. It was impossible to tell if she was crying, as her body was so drenched that she couldn't tell her own tears from the saliva.
Then, the surface beneath her suddenly jolted backward. Coco's tongue launched her like a catapult, sending her tumbling further and further back. When Suri finally landed, she found herself sliding down alongside a glob of food, down a steep, slick incline. As she looked back, she could see nothing but the awaiting depths of Coco's throat. Already, her feet were lingering right at the edge.
The tongue jolted again, and Suri felt herself slide ever-so-slightly. Her feet were immediately constricted by a tight, slick tunnel. She could feel it pulling at her, dragging her further and further downward, like all-devouring quicksand vortex, only a hundred times strong.
"No! Coco, please! Coco— Mmmph!"
The tongue jostled again, and Suri's face was immediately buried in a mass of chewed food. She choked and gagged as bit of it entered her own mouth, and she was forced to spit it out. She felt sick to her stomach, more nauseous than she'd ever felt in her life, yet her body couldn't bring itself to react how it normally would to nausea. The mere thought of anything related to stomachs was too much to even think about.
Yet that did not stop Coco's awaiting gullet. The tongue jostled again, and in a single inexorable motion, Suri was thrown into the awaiting abyss below. Her legs were enveloped in their entirety by the constricting tunnel, and before long her entire body was pulled with them as well. The last she saw before being engulfed was Coco's uvula, dangling from the throat above.
For what felt like an eternity, Suri's entire world was engulfed by darkness. She could feel the mass of slick, lumpy foodstuffs all around her, squeezed against her body. She could hear Coco's heart beating all around her, its rhythmic pulse vibrating against her with dull yet cacophonous thumps. She could feel herself being squeezed on all sides, the thick muscle constricting against her, molding to and squeezing against her body. But most of all, she could feel herself moving inexorably downward.
Then, at last, something beneath her opened up. For a split second, Suri could feel herself falling. She landed buttocks first in a thin pool of something liquid, no deeper than her ankles, followed by the lumpy foodstuffs falling alongside her. Her head was still spinning from the sudden drop, and as she slowly stood to her feet, her vision adjusted to the darkness. What she saw almost made her scream once more. In the back of her mind she had always known, but she had been hoping it wasn't true. Yet there was no denying it now.
Suri had landed directly in Coco's stomach. A gigantic, fleshy chamber made of slick, wrinkled, gently undulating walls. The puddle she stood in was no mere pool of water, but a pool of Coco's own gastric juices. Already her feet were beginning to itch and irritate from the exposure to the liquid. Suri's heart pounded in her chest, and her breathing intensified. She scrambled out of the puddled, towards apparently solid ground, but it was made difficult by the rubbery texture and subtle motion of the gastric floor. Eventually, she made it to the far wall, and began desperately pounding on it with her fists.
"Help! Help!" Suri screamed. "Let me out! Please!"
Suri's cries were seemingly answered, when another gargantuan mass dropped from above, landing behind her with a splash! Flecks of gastric juices were sprayed across her body, stinging her skin and causing her clothes to become thinner away at their points of impact. Suri tried to cry out again, but was interrupted when a second glob of food landed behind her with a glump! She looked up, and saw the sphincter above her opening up to allow another glob of food into the gastric organ.
The rain of food continued, as more and more of the eaten sandwich descended into Coco's stomach, taking up more and more of its inner space. When the entire bottom surface of the stomach was carpeted in food, the rain continued, bringing even more of the chewed-up foodstuffs down. Soon it became like a downpour of mashed sandwich, forcing Suri to feebly cover her body with her arms. But it was no use, as soon it fell down in such great volume that she could do nothing but flinch as it rained upon her, crashing down on her body with immense weight. Suri was immediately forced to lie prone as a colossal mass of food, even bigger than her body, landed directly on top of her. The air was already forced out of her lungs by the impact, but any chance she had to take a breath was taken away as several more masses landed on top of her, further crushing her.
Yet even still, Suri did not black out. Perhaps it wasn't her time yet, perhaps she simply understood that blacking out would be the end of her. When the rain of food stopped, she felt as though she had been smothered by several feet of disgusting soil. The acrid stench of vomit lingered all around her, filling every corner of her lungs. With a new determination, she began clawing through the layers of food, digging upward and upward. When at last she breached the surface, she found standing atop a sea of semi-solid food, so thoroughly mashed and soaked in bodily fluids that it had become unrecognizable.
Suddenly, the walls shifted. A rush of stenchful air blew upwards, and the sphincter above opened to allow it to pass. Suri coughed, expelling the stench from her nostrils long enough to collect herself.
And then Suri let out a yelp as a sharp sting struck her in the shoulder. As she looked at herself, she found that the layer on top of the cloth where her shoulder had been had dissolved, leaving a single spot where her pink body hair was laid bare. Another sting came, this time on her arm. Suri's eyes trailed upward, and she let out an audible gulp.
At the very top of the stomach, the walls were beginning to grow moister, slicker. The liquid itself seemed to be oozing out from walls, and as it accumulated it began to drip downwards. Drip, drip, drip. A mere trickle at first, but the drops soon started falling with increasing intensity, showing Suri's body with stinging gastric acids. She tried to cry out, but it was no use. The shower ate away at her clothes, dissolving them into mush beneath her feet, followed by her undergarments. Her perky, supple breasts were already slick with acid, and her bare nipples felt like they were being jabbed by hundreds of sharp pinpricks at once.
Suddenly, the stomach walls clenched. They seized inward, contracting with enormous force, sending the food tumbling from out beneath Suri's feet. Deafening, wet gurgles filled Suri's eardrums from the force of the motion, and she found herself being tossed about. When the motion stopped, she found herself buried once again under a thick layer of food, only this time it was coated in a layer of stinging, biting acid.
Then, the stomach walls clenched inward again. Then again, and again, and again. They pulsed, undulated, contracted, and squeezed, like the stomach itself was a wad of dough being thoroughly kneaded by a baker. Suri was tossed and thrown about like a rag in a washing machine, and every moment the acid around her ate away at her, dissolving her hair and peeling away at her skin.
Suri let out one final scream, but it was immediately muffled by a glob of half-melted food thrown into her mouth by the motion. She closed her eyes, the suffocating stench choking her entire body, while the pain wracked and ate away at her skin. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and at last she blacked out.
A gentle burp forced its way out of Coco's esophagus. Even if her sandwich had not been the most delicious, it was easily the best one she'd ever had. She giggled softly, feeling the taught sensation just below her breasts at the satisfaction of a filling meal.
Her stomach growled in happy approval, already beginning the work of breaking down its latest contents. Humming happily to herself, Coco made her way to the nearest sewing machine, and began work on the next costume for her new boss at Bridleway.
