"Spike! Help! Look for a cure!" Screamed the changeling, now in place of Twilight. "SPIKE! SPIKE!"
"Twilight. What do you wa- AH!" The baby dragon was stiff, in shock, and speechless "Twi-Twi-Twilight?"
"Yes Spike, it was this transformation spell." Said Twilight, showing him the spell "I need a cure, FAST!"
The baby dragon nodded, looking through book after book after book! Twilight tried changing, successfully changing back to Twilight. She stood there, levatating books by books and more books. 'This is a tradgedy!' She thought 'What will I do? The princesses will hate me! Escpecially Cadance! Horeapples! Not being successful, Twilight now stood, trembelling, shaking, and crying. "WHY!?" She said "Why me?!" Spike looked over happily, slightly frowning at Twilight. "Twilight, I found it!" He said "Cheer up!"
Twilight grabbed it, making Spike tumble. "Oh Spike thank yo-" she stopped "This is a ritual? Let's see..." The purple unicorn started reading the list aloud to Spike. We need a stalk of Wishing Beans? Those are only in... the Everfree Forest! Twilight was thinking.
"Spike, I, uh, have to go get an ingrediant right now! I'll be back as soon as possible!" Said the determined purple changeling unicorn.
"Whaddaya have to get Twi?" Said the curious dragon. "Don't you have it all in your lab?"
"Not the Wishing Beans. I need to go asap if I want to reverse this really soon!"
"Alright, but I'll sleep."
Twilight smiled at Spike. "Oh Spike! A baby dragon does need his rest!" Spike went upstairs, yawning. Now, its Twilight's turn to go alone! She packed up, still as Twilight, and she started off. Now, she doesn't know what lies ahead of her. Will she stay a changeling, or will she return to normal, reversing this curse? She will only know when she takes off.
The purple unicorn stopped, seeing Fluttershy out. "Fluttershy! I forgot!" She whispered. "She'll ask why I'm giong into the Everfree!"
Twilight is now face to face with a small, roundish creature: a parasprite. This time, it was... bigger?
She couldn't put her hoof on it, it was very hungry looking too. It was getting bigger too. Twilight backed up a bit. The parasprite steadily grew. What is going on? Twilight asked herself. The parasprite opened its mouth, remultiplying. Even worse.
Twilight, you must use the changelings' abilities at your whim! A voice whispered in her head, it sounded like... Princess Cadance? Twilight changed into an alicorn, using her might to try to shrink the parasprites, no luck. She tried changing into Fluttershy, to reason with them. Nope! She even tried changing into herself, using a spell that told them to not eat so much. Still nothing. Wait... Pinkie Pie knows! She thought to herself. So she tried making some instruments and started playing. Twilight was now successfully shrinking-slowly-but shrinking the parasprites.
They bobbed up and down. They waggled. They danced! Twilight kept playiing until they were normal size. She was shocked at her progress. The changeling looked back, seeing no exit open. She went on, the parasprites following. "Gah! Go away!" Twilight snapped "You aren't needed!" They frowned and then started to go away.
"Good!" She said again.
Twilight went o her way, to meet other dangers ahead still. This time, she got lucky.
"But Twiiliiight!" Moaned Spike "Why do you have to study THIS early?"
"Well Spike'" started Twilight "I found a new place to order spell books. So I need to cram all day!"
"Well I think its stupid!"
"SPIKE! Do you know how important this is? I could learn SO much from them!"
Spike huffed and went up the stairs. "I'm going to bed! Its too early!"
Twilight found some new books, for they were already delivered yesterday, then, chose the oldest one entilted: 'Simple spells that are just simple. She began to levatate it. I piece of paper fell out of it. "Huh? What's this?" Twilight said, levatating that now too. "Oh! A simple spell! Hmm.. let's see... 'Transformation Spell' ? That sounds... simple!" Now, she was preparing the spell.
Twilight concentrated with all her might, thinking of an alicorn. Instead, she quickly thought of the recent changeling attack too. What happened next was... simple. She was engulfed in magenta magic, as her body shifted. She felt a strange sensation. 'This is so simple!' She said to herself. 'Maybe I'll tell the others too!' Then, it was all done. She took a mirror, but what she found, was not so regal as well as being a changeling now. "GAAAAH!" Her voice barely made that sound it was so high, but Twilight didn't care. "I'm a ch-ch-ch-changeling!"
The Start of The Adventure
Twilight trotted out, quietly, sneaking past Fluttershy. "Phew" she said, now in the Everfree. "That was close."
Now, the changeling trotted through the Everfree, her disguise wearing off. Twilight stopped, hearing a strange sound. What was that you ask? It was a cockatrice. She didn't know that though. "He-Hello?, who's there? Show yourself!" Paniced the dark changeling, baring her fangs. Then, out jumped a cockatrice, it tried to freeze Twilight. "Gah! Cockatrice!" She screamed. "Go away!" Her waist was now stone. I know what to do! Calm down, and the stone will break! the changeling told herself.
The cockatrice was getting up to her neck in stone. Then, Twilight calmed down, thinking of peaceful times. The stone almost instantly broke, reversing it on the cockatrice. She slipped away, escaping one of many deadly creatures. A little while away, a manticore was ahead. The one from their battle with Nightmare Moon. She approached with caution. The manticore notced her and imidiatly. Twilight now was panicking. The manticore charged at her, roaring loudly and earpiercing. Twilight teleported, but failed at it. Then, she relized: Pull a Fluutershy!, help it! "Stop! Why are you attacking?" She tried to reson with it. The manticore actually stopped, then he held out his back leg, it had a scratch on it.
She changed to Fluttershy this time, healing the wound. It licked her then sent her on her way. Her disguise wore off again. "Hm hm hm hm hmmm, hm hm hm hm hmmm, hm hm hm hm hmmm!" Twilight hummed.
