The two ponies got up and walked around for a bit looking around at their now unfamiliar surroundings. In the distance, the two ponies heard chatter and music. Looking up, the two ponies saw a nearby tree. They listened carefully and noticed the music they heard was in fact coming from the tree. “I wonder what’s making that music?” Twilight asked Pinkie Pie. “I don’t know.” Pinkie replied. “But I’d like to find out. Wanna come with.” “Sure, why not.” Twilight said. The two ponies headed towards the source of the music. Peering in the tree, the two ponies saw colorful creatures. The creatures appeared to be the ones who were singing. It also looked like they were dancing and hadn’t quite noticed them yet. Twilight cleared her throat, causing the creatures to stop singing and turn towards the ponies in confusion. “Hello.” Twilight spoke. This confused the creatures even more. “My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle and this is Pinkie Pie. I have a question. What exactly are all of you supposed to be?” “We’re trolls.” A voice spoke. The sound of the voice caused the trolls to step aside to let a troll through. Twilight and Pinkie guessed that this troll was the Ruler. Twilight bent down. “Hi, you must be the ruler, I’m Twilight and this is Pinkie. What’s your name?” “Poppy.” The Pink troll replied. “Queen Poppy.” “What’s going on.” Another voice spoke. “Who are they?” Queen Poppy turned to face the source of the voice. “Branch, you don’t need to worry anymore. You’re happy now, remember.” The male Blue Troll laughed. “Oh right. Sorry Poppy.” “What did you say your names were again?” Branch asked looking up. “I’m Twilight and this is Pinkie.” Twilight said smiling down at him. “We were sent here for some sort of mission.” “Yeah.” Pinkie said. “Have there been any problems here lately.” Poppy nodded. “Yeah, a few weeks ago, a troll I used to have a crush on decided to betray us. I just don’t know what I’m going to do with him if he ever comes back.” “Have you considered forgiving him for his actions.” Twilight suggested. Poppy thought about it then frowned. “Yeah, no. I’m probably not going to do that.” Twilight facehoofed and grumbled. “Oh come on.” Author's Note This is the second chapter of the story. Hope you enjoy.

Pinkie and Branch on the other hand, did notice him. “Hey.” Pinkie spoke up, causing Twilight and Poppy to stop arguing and look down. “Aren’t you the Queen’s former crush.” The troll nodded. Twilight and Pinkie looked at the tiny blue Troll in confusion. "What is it, Branch?" Twilight asked, bending down to look at him. "Are your tattoos supposed to be glowing like that?" Branch motioned towards Twilight and Pinkie's Cutie Marks. Smiling, the two ponies looked at their now glowing flanks. Twilight turned to Pinkie. "I guess that means our mission is complete." Twilight said. Pinkie nodded and the two ponies turned to face the trolls. "I'm sorry we can't stay for long." Twilight said. "But Pinkie and I must must really be headed back to our world." "It's okay. We'll miss you two." Poppy replied, smiling up at them. "Bye." Twilight and Pinkie said in unison. Twilight fired up her magic and created a portal, jumping through it. She looked everywhere on the map but she still couldn’t find it. “Ugh.” The Alicorn grumbled to herself, scratching her head. “Where is my Cutie Mark.” She began to pace a little faster, her hoofsteps becoming a bit louder. “It should be on the map. Where is it.” She continued looking at the map. “I wonder which of my friends is being called to go on this mission with me.” Twilight said to herself. “Perhaps I should wait for them to arrive and we can figure out what’s going on with the map.” The Alicorn smiled to herself and continued pacing. She turned around when she heard the door open. She spotted one of her best friends, Pinkie Pie, standing in the doorway. With a smile, the Alicorn turned and trotted over to greet her. “Hi, Pinkie.” Twilight Sparkle said with a smile. “Hi, Twilight.” Pinkie greeted back. “I came as quick as I could. My Cutie Mark is glowing like yours is, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on the map.” “I can’t find mine either, Pinkie.” Twilight replied. A few moments later, both ponies were shocked when they noticed their Cutie Marks were not floating somewhere on the now expanded map. Their Cutie Marks were floating off the map. “Uh, I didn’t know our Cutie Marks could do that.” Twilight said in confusion as she pointed at the map. She turned to Pinkie Pie. “It looks like our Cutie Marks want us to follow them. Should we.” Pinkie nodded and the two ponies headed out of the castle and galloped through the town towards the Everfree Forest. They stopped to greet Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Starlight Glimmer on their way. “What’s gotten into them?” Applejack asked as she watched Twilight and Pinkie gallop down the road. “I don’t know.” Rainbow Dash replied. “But it looked like their Cutie Marks were glowing, so it must have been important.” The Pegasus moved to hover in midair. “Agreed.” Rarity said. “But if it was important wouldn’t they be heading towards the train station instead of towards the Everfree Forest.” “Yeah.” Starlight Glimmer said. “Let’s just let them do what they need to do. After all, you guys did say that it could be important. They’ll probably be back soon.” “I sure hope so.” Rarity replied. “Anypony up for the Spa.” The rest of the group nodded and the five ponies headed towards the Spa. Twilight and Pinkie walked through the Everfree Forest, their Cutie Marks floating not too far from them. The moment they reached the end of the forest, their Cutie Marks stopped floating and disappeared. This left the two ponies confused and they turned to look at one another. “Uh, What just happened?” Twilight Sparkle asked Pinkie Pie, who stood frozen in fear. “Uh, Pinkie? Is there something wrong?” Pinkie nodded and pointed, directing Twilight’s attention towards a portal. “Uh. Where did that portal come from.” Twilight said in shock. “I didn’t know portals could appear out of nowhere.” Those were the last words Twilight spoke before she and Pinkie were sucked into the portal. The Purple Troll replied, looking up at Poppy with pleading eyes. "I came back for forgiveness. For us to start over. To be friends again." Creek looked up at Poppy, hoping she'd forgive him. But what happened next wasn't forgiveness. It was the start of a fight. The Purple Troll went into panic mode as Poppy lunged at him. He tried to run but Poppy used her hair to keep him still. She was about to tackle him and punch him but Twilight's magic prevented her from doing so. Upset, Poppy turned and glared at her. "What did I say about forgiveness?" Twilight asked, looking down at Poppy with sad eyes. "You didn't actually say anything." Poppy replied, looking up at Twilight in confusion. "Can you please let me go so I can finish him." "No." Twilight said. "Not until you decide to forgive him. He looks like he really wants to be forgiven." Poppy thought for a minute. "Ugh fine. I guess I'll forgive him." "Great." Twilight released Poppy, watching as she walked towards Creek. "Creek." Poppy began. The Purple Troll turned and looked at her, a smile on his face. The Troll Queen continued. "I'm sorry I tried to fight you. I shouldn't have reacted the way I did. I forgive you. Friends." "Friends." Creek ran over to Poppy, giving her a big hug. Poppy smiled and returned the hug. "Don't try betraying us again." Poppy lightly punched Creek in the shoulder. "I won't." Creek smiled.
