The Hero Is Born Part 1

To understand what this all is you need to believe in the impossible, can you do that?.
Sunset Shimmer was once a unicorn pony who lived in a world full of magic named Equestria. Equestria was a place where the impossible happened every day.
When she escaped through a magic portal mirror which leads her to the human world.
When the portal reopened 30 moons later, she went back and stole Princess Twilight Sparkle's crown and brought it back to the human world. She used it to become a demon who led her to turn the entire school to a mindless army in a chance to conquer Equestria, but she was defeated by Twilight Sparkle and the mane 5 of the human world.

After the Fall Formal incident, she became a better person, but it took a while for others to see that. After helping to stop the Sirens from taking over the human world, she has regained more respect.

But this story is not about her, it's about the fastest man alive and how he came to be.

Sunset walked down the hallway and reached Principle Celestia's office. She knocked on the door three times and heard Celestia's voice saying "come in". Sunset opened the door and locked it behind her as she walked into Celestia's office.

"You wanted to see me?" Sunset asked.

"Yes miss Shimmer," Celestia said, "there is a new student that will be going to Canterlot high and I wanted you to maybe show him around".

"Why me?" Sunset asked Celestia.

"Because I think you would have a chance to redo after the last incidence at the battle of the band," Celestia told Sunset "also that you could have a chance to bond with him".

"Okay then," Sunset said

"Great, he is waiting for you in the main foyer," Celestia said.

Sunset walked out of the door and was heading for the main foyer to meet this person.

Sunset Shimmer arrived at the main foyer, at the door she saw the new student looking at the trope case and had a coffee in a takeaway cup. He had dark brown hair, blue eyes, black jeans, grey t-shirt and had a jean jacket with a hood on.
Sunset tough he looked kinda handsome, Sunset began to introduce her self. "Hello there," she said as she approached him, "My name is Sunset Shimmer". He turned around when he heard Sunset.

"Hello," he said and smiled.

"What's your name?" Sunset asked him.

"My name is Jay, Jay Allen" Jay replied and reached out his hand to give Sunset a handshake. Sunset reached out her hand and shook his hand.

"It's nice to meet you Jay" Sunset said.

"Nice meeting you too, by the way, I like your jacket," Jay said and pointed his finger at Sunset's jacket.

"Thank's I like your jacket too," Sunset said "but that is beside the point. I'm here to show you around the school the school".

They begun walking down the hallway were Sunset would show Jay was all the classrooms are.

"Do you know where the science lab is?" Jay asked.

"Yeah it's down the hallway to the right" Sunset Replied

"Thank you, I am a big admirer of science by the way," Jay told Sunset in an awkward way.

"That's awesome," Sunset told Jay

"Thank you, I am a big admirer of Dr. Harrison Wells of STAR labs," Jay told Sunset.

"Cool I've heard that they're planning to activate a particle accelerator here in Canterlot City," Sunset Shimmer said.

"Yeah, his work in quantum theory is light year ahead of anything they're doing at Cern," Jay said, "with this particle accelerator will help us to learn everything imagined, a cure for cancer, space travel, and clean energy, it's a whole new way looking at physics".

"So you're gonna become a scientist when you grow up?" Sunset said Jay smiled at her question. It was an interesting one, but he doesn't know what type of scientist he wants to become.

"Well I haven't decided what type of scientist I wanted to be but I really want to work at CCPD," Jay told Sunset.

"Canterlot City Police Department?" Sunset asked, "why?".

"Cause I want to help people, help the one who was convicted of a crime they didn't do and bring guilty murderers to justice," Jay told Sunset, cause that's a good thing you can do for people.

"That's amazing Jay," Sunset said. "Would you like to hang out with me and my friends until after lunch?" Sunset asks Jay, because since this was his first day here at Canterlot high and that it would be nice if he got to meet Sunset's friends.

"That's nice, but I am not sure that they want me around. I am mostly the one person that no one would have around" Jay said. "They are the best group of friends, they will sure let you hang out with us," Sunset told Jay and grabbed his arm. Sunset was dragging him down the hallway, Jay had already drunken up his coffee so when they passed a trashcan the trough in into the trash.

Sunset dragged Jay to they came to the music room, Rainbow Dash and Applejack were working on the band equipment.
Rainbow Dash saw Sunset Shimmer and noticed Jay behind her, "hey Sunset Shimmer," said Rainbow Dash, "Who's the new guy?". "This is Jay Allen, the new student principle Celestia wanted me to who around" Sunset told Rainbow Dash. Jay walked into the room as he got a little bit conformable.

"Hi, Jay Allen nice to meet you guys"

"Nice meeting you to Jay" Applejack said

"So if you don't mind me asking, what is your interests?" Applejack asked, "then I mean, do you have any hobbies or something".

"Well, I can speak other languages, like Spanish, French, Latin and German" Jay replied, "I also do web design and gorilla sign language and I have an interest in advanced science".

"That's awesome, do you do any sport?" Rainbow Dash asked, "well I tried out for the soccer team and the football team at my former school but I quit cause I was a slow runner," Jay said.

"So you do soccer huh, well the Wonderbolts could use someone like you," Rainbow said

"It's okay like I said I am a slow runner," Jay told Dashie "my whole I have been running, usually from bullies. Sometimes I escaped and sometimes I did not"

"Wow sounds pretty harsh," Applejack said.

"Yeah, I got beat up because I tried to stand up to them when they picked on other kids because I knew what they did was wrong," Jay said, "but my mom told me it's better to have a good hearth then fast legs".

"Ah," Applejack said, "that's sound like good advice from her".

"Yeah it's my favorite one by her" Jay said, "so you guys are in band huh?"

"Yep," said Dash "The band is called The Rainboom's, we still have unaccounted members though, where are they?"

"Fluttershy and Pinkie needed to do something personal," Applejack said, "I don't know"

Rarity walked into the room with a rack with clothes on.

"Hey Rarity," said Rainbow "what's with the racks Rarity?"

"Oh," said Rarity, "I've brought some new outfits we could try for our band."

"I think this one would be perfect for you Applejack," said Rarity taking one of the bags containing the outfit, walking over and handing it to Applejack. Rarity Noticed Jay Allen in the room looking at Rarity, but not in a creepy way. When she saw Jay, Jay smiled back at her.

"Why Sunset Shimmer," Rarity said, "Who's your friend?"

"This is Jay, Jay Allen" Sunset replied "he's the new student Celestia wants me to show around the school"
"Well, Jay," said Rarity holding out her hand, Jay took Rarity in for a shake.

"Nice to meet you Rarity," Jay said, "nice to meet you too Jay" Rarity replied. "Huh, have I seen you somewhere before you look kinda familiar," Rarity asked because she thinks she has seen Jay somewhere before.

"No, why do you ask?" Jay asked, "because every time when I walk past a crime scene I can see a forensic scientist working at the scene with the CCPD".
"Yeah, I work as a forensic assistant for the Canterlot city police department" Jay replied to Rarity, "it's not much, I check out the recent crime scenes with my partners and study the scenes for any evidence".

"Yo that's awesome Jay," Rainbow says to Jay, "yeah I am just an assistant, I wish I could do better at the station," Jay said while turning around to look at Rainbow Dash.

"Are you kidding me, you walk around the city helping fighting crime?" Sunset said, "you like a hero".
"Yeah but the victim is already dead," Jay said, "so I feel like I could have done better for the one who got killed". "Don't be harsh on your self Jay?" Applejack said and patted him on his shoulder.

"Thank you Applejack," Jay said.

"No problem Partner," Applejack said, "but how did you know my name was Applejack?".

"Well since I know Rainbow Dash name because of her rainbow colored hair and so the evidence are there," said Jay. "Also that your belt buckle is an apple and your boots have apple marks gives away that your name is Applejack," Jay said, "also by your country accent and clothing says that you're a farm girl".

"You're gonna make a great forensic scientist one day," Rainbow tells Jay.
"Thank you," Jay says.

Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy walk into the room, Pinkie Pie notice Jay in the room and asks "ooh who's the new guy?" and Jay replies "hi I am Jay Allen" and stretches his hand to give Pinkie a handshake.
Pinkie shakes Jay's hand really fast, it kinda hurts so he gently asks "could you please stop shaking too hard, it kinda hurts my arm".

"oops sorry" Pinkie said and releases his arm, "hi I am Fluttershy," said a low voice behind him. He turns around to give Fluttershy a handshake, "nice to meet you Fluttershy" Jay said.

The school bell rang and it was already lunchtime, students walked out of the classrooms. Few of them heading to the cafeteria, "that's our exit cue," said Applejack, "Lunchtime".

"Actually," said Sunset, "I was wondering if Jay could join us today".

"Why sure," said Applejack.

"Fine by me" added Rainbow Dash.

"Why of course," said Rarity, "It would be nice to have a new member joining us today".

"That's okay with me too," said Fluttershy.

"That would be great!" Pinkie said.

"Well I am not a fan of school lunch from the cafeteria, but I like to join you guys," Jay says. "Then it's settled," Sunset said, and everyone began to walk to the cafeteria.

The girls had already got their lunch, and Jay was waiting at the table for them to sit down. They sat down and begun to eat, while Jay was a little silent and just read a science book with earplugs on and listened to music.

"He seems a little too silent," Rainbow Dash said.

"Oh hush now," said Applejack, "he's probably getting used to this new school."

"I agree," added Rarity, "he just begun here at the school so maybe he just likes to be silent until he makes friends".

Pinkie Pie looked at the book Jay was reading, "what are you reading?" Pinkie Pie asks. "It's just a science book, it teaches me about any scientific theory, like this one," Jay said, "the theory is that the newfound solar system trapis 1 has planets perfectly positioned, so it might be possible that it can host alien life".

Pinkie Pie smiled, cause she had no idea of what Jay was talking about, "you have no idea what I am talking about, don't you?" Jay said, "nope," Pinkie Pie told Jay.

Jay closed the book to join in on the conversation, but before he could talk there was a blue girl with white hair and blue and light purple skirt.

"hello rain-goons," Trixie said.

Everyone at the table turned their head to look at Trixie

"Go away Trixie" Rainbow Dash said.

"Oh no, I am not here for you six," Trixie said and looked at Jay "I am here for the new kid".

"Who me?" Jay said.

"Yeah, a little word of advice, I wouldn't hang out with these girls," Trixie told Jay "you won't be so much safe with them".

Jay looked at the girls and looked back at Trixie.

"They look fine to me," Jay said.

"Not really, there is a lot that you don't know about these girls," Trixie said.

"There Is a lot that I don't know that I would love to know," Jay told Trixie.

Trixie turned her head to look at Jay's science book and looked back at him.

"Well by the science book you have, then I wouldn't be hanging out with these girls," Trixie said, "they don't understand science, only magic".

"So, I love a little bit magic," Jay said, "by the way, the scientist at STAR labs has found a cure for you".

"A cure for what?" Trixie asked

"Something that will cure you of being a total moron!" Jay said

"Oh Snap, he got you, Trixie," Rainbow said.

"Oh yeah well..." Trixie couldn't come up with something else to say.

"Just take the time you need, I am right open," Jay said, "oh wait you don't have any comeback".

Trixie couldn't come up with a better comeback, "goddammit, you're better than me" she yelled and walked straight away from their table in anger.

"Dude that was awesome!" Rainbow said and padded Jay on his shoulder. "Thank you, I always get these things so I am mostly prepared with comebacks" Jay replied.

"By the way, I thought we could go to the city and get Big Belly Burger after school" Jay recommended while he rose up from his chair

"Sure," Sunset said.

"Of course" Rarity replied.

"Yes," Pinkie Pie said

"Why not," Applejack said

"After that comeback, you used at Trixie, I sure will come," Rainbow said.

"Of course," Fluttershy said in a low pitch voice.

They all made an agreement to meet Jay after school to go to Canterlot City to get a Big Belly Burger, and that the girls could better know Jay.

The school was already over and the main 6 were waiting at the statue for Jay, "when is Jay coming?" Rainbow Dash asked, "he properly needed to do something first," Applejack said.
Rarity was sitting on the ground policing her nails, "I gotta say, Jay looks a kinda cute don't you think?".

Rainbow Dash began to blush a little bit because she began to have a crush on him. Jay walked out of the doors of the school and meet up with the girls at the statue. "Are you guys ready?" he asks, "I sure am, partner" Applejack replied. Everyone began to walk to together to the city.

They walked down the streets at the city, they were close to Big Belly Burger until Jay got a text on his phone.

It says:
Meet me at Canterlot City Bank downtown, we need some forensic assistance 🙂.

Jay looked at the girls telling them ‘’ I need to go, the CCPD needs forensic assistance at Canterlot bank downtown’’.

Jay ran down the street to meet up with the CCPD at Canterlot City Bank. He was in a hurry, and since he was a slow runner he knew that he would be late.

Canterlot City Bank
The city bank was full of police cars and an ambulance outside, people surrounding
"Second robbery this week," a detective said

"The teller ID, Clyde Mardon is the shooter" Said Joe West

"What, ah gee the Mardon brothers are back," detective Robbins says.

"What do we got?" Captain Singh asks.

"Perps took the bank shot out the cameras and as a chaser killed the security guard over there," Joe West said, "I got you and he's kicking in doors of known Mardon brothers associates".

Forensic scientist Greg Sanders walks to Singh telling him, "captain, I called in my assistant over here to look at the scene and maybe find some evidence and you know Jay, he's a smart kid"

Jay arrived at the scene, we walked to the detectives and asking Greg. "Is it something I can do Sanders?".

"Yes, seems like it's your lucky day," Greg tells Jay "this is your first crime scene, so I let you be the honor to investigate". "Thank you, Sanders," Jay tells Sanders. Jay begun to walk over to the road was a tire mark was on the ground, he lied down on his stomach on the ground to get a better look at the wheels.

After he investigates it he began to stand on his knees telling the detectives "the getaway car is a Shelby Mustang gt500, Shelby's has rear super wide tiers specific to that model" "12 inches with an asymmetrical treat".

Jay began to stand up with both legs, "and there's something else" Jay said and took a pen from detective Robbins pocket. He walked to the ground and picked something with the pen, it was mud at the tire mark. Jay smelled it at was a little disgusted by it. "Tickle excrement, an animal I guess," Jay said.

"My dad gave me that pen," detective Robbins told Jay "before he died".

jay felt really sorry that he used Robbin's pen, Jay puts the pen in a bag and said "sorry".

Canterlot City Police station
Jay Allen was at the forensic lab at the station, he was studying the mud on the forensic computer to the main 6 walks inside the lab.
"So it's here where you work?" Applejack said, "yeah, since Greg Sanders retires, I will have the whole lab for my self," Jay said.

"ooh, then you will be like a crime-fighting teenager," Pinkie Pie said.

"Well it's not like the TV show CSI but yeah I am kind of a crime fighter," Jay said.

"By the way, when you left for the crime scene at the bank" Rainbow said, "we brought you some Big Belly Burgers for you".

"Thank you," Jay said and grabbed the bag with the food.

A sound came from the computer, the testing was already done and detective Joe West walked into the lab. He saw the girls and wondered why they were doing in the lab.

"Who are you guys?"

"Joe, these are friends of mine from Canterlot High," Jay said.

"I know that you would make friends at Canterlot High, but I didn't know you made friends on one day," Joe said.

"Yeah well, these girls were very welcome when I arrived," Jay said

"Oh well, so do you have data on the Mardon brothers?" Joe asked.

"Yeah, I think the Mardon brothers are hiding on a farm," Jay said, "the fecal matter I found on the street, it was cow manure which contained traces of oxytetracycline, it's an antibiotic and there are only four farms in the area that use it in their feed".

Jay printed out a list of the farms and gave it to Joe, "maybe one of them has a parked Shelby".

"Thank you, Jay," Joe said cheerfully and walked out of the door.

"Seem like you're helping a lot of people at the department," Sunset said. Jay replied, "yeah when you do the job well you make it look like it's easy".

"Is it?" Fluttershy asked.

"Not really," Jay said. "But anyway, since the particle accelerator activates today, tough that we could hang out here at the Lab and watch it activate," Jay said, "this lab has a couch and a flat screen TV so if you will".

The girls looked at each other and agreed that they could stay in the lab since this is Jay worked they could better know Jay.

Rainbow Dash replied "sure we can stay here and watch the accelerator activate", those words made Jay smile.

Later that night, the whole gang were at the lab. The main 6 sat on the couch and looked at the TV, Jay was sitting at his desk still doing some research.

At the same time, a tall blonde man walked into the lab to meet Jay Allen.

"Jay Allen nice to meet you," he said and reached out his hand to give him a handshake. Jay held out his hand and both of them shook hands, "nice to meet you too" Jay said.

"it will be an honor to work with you Jay," He said, "yeah, you too," Jay told him. The man walked out of the lab.

"My, my who is that?" Rarity asked because he caught Rarity's eyes and thought he was really handsome.

"He's a transfer from Keystone, he started a few days ago" Jay replied, "his name is Edward Thawne".

"Well that's detective pretty boy," Rarity said.

"Yeah I think Rarity Thawne would have worked out," Jay said.

"Oh snap, Jay you're a freaking savage," Rainbow Dash said.

"Thank you Dashie," Jay said, "by the way how is it with the particle accelerator?".

"Well, it's already activated" Rainbow replied.

"Okay," Jay said. As the girls didn't look behind them to see what Jay was doing, he went to the whiteboard and rolled up the map which revealed a whole map over the past five years since Jay was eleven years old. He rolled down the map to cover the whiteboard.

"Jay you gotta look at this" one of the girls said.

Jay walked to look at the TV, the reporter reports that something is wrong with the particle accelerator and that everything needs to be shut down. That something to the cooling system has failed, Jay walked to the window and saw the particle accelerator explode and released strange energy and the lights went out

Jay walked away from the window, he walked and grabbed a chain which was under the roof window. Lighting began to strike, a bolt of lighting begun to strike through the window hitting Jay and throwing him to a shelf with chemicals.

Jay was totally knocked out and covered in chemicals, the girls ran to his unconscious body standing on their knees and holding Jay in their arms.

At Canterlot city hospital the doctors had Jay in a medical bed storming down the corridors and to a room where they could try to revive him. The girls were pretty scared,

"What if Jay dies?" Fluttershy asked in a low pitch voice

"He will not die, he will be okay, I hope so," Rainbow says.

9 WEEKS LATER
Jay begins to wake up, he couldn't see really much because everything was a little blurry. He could hear music in the background, which was one of his favorites. He could hear voices in the background talking, when It began to get a clear image Jay could see a man and a woman somewhere in their 20s or something

"What are you doing," said one of them

"He likes this song"

"How can you possibly know that?"

"I checked his Facebook page, I mean he can hear anything right?"

"Auditory functions are the last sensory faculties to generate"

Both of them walked away from the bed I was lying in. I woke up really hard when Jay saw around the room he questing himself "where am I?". Jay had no idea where he was, the woman walked over to Jay and shined a light over his eyes saying that Jay's eyes react equally reacting to light. Jay rose up from the bed and rose up with both of his legs.

"Wow man relax, you're at STAR labs," said the young man

"STAR lab's who are you," Jay asked the young man

"I am Cisco Ramon, she's Caitlin Snow," Cisco said.

Caitlin Snow gave Jay a cup saying "I need you to urinate in this".

Cisco grabbed the cup "not know, wait a second".

Jay was confused, he walked away from them saying "what is happening right?"

"You got struck by lighting dude" Cisco replied.

"What Jay said, he turned around and saw himself in the mirror. "Lighting gave me abs?".

"Your muscles should be atrophied but instead they're in a chronic and unexplained state of regeneration," Caitlin said.

Jay sat on a seat, Cisco told him "Jay was in a coma".

"For how long," Jay asked.

"Nine weeks," said a voice behind them, Jay turned around to see a man in a wheelchair. It was Harrison Wells, "welcome back Mr. Allen," he said, "we have a lot to discuss".

Jay got on him a sweatshirt, which had the STAR labs logo on. "I can't believe I am, I've always wanted to meet you face to face," Jay said
"Yeah, so we went to great length to do this" Harrison Wells said "STAR labs has not been operational since the FEMA catheterized us as a class four hazardous" Harrison said when the passed a cage which had a sign standing Grodd.

"17 people died that night, many more were injured," Harrison said "myself among them" They came to the destroyed pipeline and saw brings surrounding everywhere and burned marks on the walls.

"Gees, what happened?" Jay asked.

"A month ago, the particle accelerator went online exactly as I planned for 45 minutes," Harrison Wells said, "I have achieved my life dream and then, there was an anomaly, the electron volts became unmeasurable". "The ring under us popped energy from that detonation was thrown into the sky seeded a storm cloud...".

"That created a lightning bolt, that struck me," Jay said as he finishes Harrison Wells sentence.

"That's right," Dr. Wells said, "I was recovering myself when I heard about you". Harrison continued talking "the hospital went to unexplained power outages every time you went into cardiac arrest which was actually misdiagnosed because you see weren't flatlining Jay, your heartbeat was moving to fast for the EKG to register it".

They walked back to the cortex, "now I am not the most popular person in town these days but detective West and your friends from Canterlot High gave me permission to bring you here where we were able to stabilize you" Dr. Wells said.

"Wait my friends from Canterlot was here?" Jay asked.

"That's right, they were here to see you quite often," Dr. Harrison Wells said.

"The pink one talked a lot and asked many questions," Caitlin said while she was handing Dr. Wells a drink.

"By the way I really like her," Cisco said.

"I need to to go," Jay said and walked to the door.

"Wait you can't," Caitlin said.

"No, no Caitlin is right," Harrison Wells said "now that you're awake we need to do more test, you're still going through changes there's so much that we don't know"

"I am fine really I feel normal," Jay said, "thank you for saving my life". Jay walked out of the door but returned to ask "can I keep the sweatshirt?".

"Yeah you can keep the sweatshirt," Wells said.

"Okay," Jay said and walked out of the door.

Canterlot High School
Jay went back to the school to see the main 6, Jay walked into the school. Students stared at him, surprised that he survived that lightning bolt. Jay ignored them and tried to find the main 6, as Jay walked down the corridors he bumped into Trixie.

"Well, isn't it Jay Allen," Trixie said.

"Your prayers didn't work Trixie, that lighting bolt gave me what I wished for," Jay said, "a whole month without you to bother me".

Jay walked past Trixie and tried to find the music room so he could reunite with his friends, he walked down the corridors to find Rainbow Dash at her locker. Jay walked over to her and Rainbow Dash noticed him, she was surprised to see Jay already awake. It filled her with joy, she ran to him and begun to hug him really hard. Both of them smiled, Rainbow Dash stops hugging.

"You're awake," Rainbow Dash said, "why didn't STAR labs call?".

"I just woke up" Jay replied

"How are you standing?" Rainbow asked

"Dash I am fine, I am okay," Jay said

"I watched you die many times at the hospital,"you kept dying, your heart just stopped".

Jay took Rainbow's hand and placed it on his chest where she felt the beats of Jay's heart. "Still beating," Jay said, "it feels really fast," Rainbow said.

Both of them walked down the corridors to the cafeteria since it was already lunch, and maybe Jay could reunite with his new friends he meets over a month ago. They sat down at a table, Rainbow Dash brought with her lunch to the table. But Jay didn't have any lunch since he wasn't a fan of lunch they served in the cafeteria. They sat down and begun to have a little talk.

"So how was STAR labs?" Rainbow asks

"It was a little destroyed but the main cortex and the laboratories were okay" Jay replied "I even got to meet Harrison Wells"

"Really," Rainbow said

"Yeah, I even kept a STAR labs sweatshirt," Jay said.

"Cool, well don't wear it around the school," Dashie said, "students are angry about what happened a month ago when the particle accelerator exploded".

"Why," Jay asked since we were in a come for one month he needed to know what has been going on.

"Well, many people got injured when the accelerator exploded and blamed Harrison Wells for the explosion," Rainbow told Jay.

"Gees, what happened to the other girls?" Jay asked, "you guys were with me when I got struck by lightning?"

"They're fine Jay" Rainbow replied

"Good," Jay said.

Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy walked into the cafeteria and noticed Rainbow Dash with Jay Allen. They were happy to see him alive and moving, they walked to the table to greet him a proper welcome back.

"Jay you're awake," Sunset said.

"Yep I am alive and kicking," Jay said

"Why didn't STAR labs call us?" Applejack said and sat on the seat next to Jay, the other girls began to sit

"I just woke up," Jay replied.

"I got stuck by lighting Jay, you're heart kept stopping and stopping," Pinkie Pie said.

"Yeah but, I am awake my heart is now beating," Jay said.

Applejack held her fingers on Jay's neck to feel his pulse, but the problem is that it's beating really fast then a normal heart would. She removed her fingers from his neck telling him.

"Jay you're heart beats faster than normal" Applejack said

Everything around Jay begun to move slowly, Jay turns his head to see a student falling to the ground and lost her food plate on the ground. Things began to move at normal speed again.

Sunset asked her "are you okay".

"Yeah, I am fine" the girl replied.

Jay was really confused about what happened, everything was moving slowly and now it was moving fast.

"That was weird," Jay said.

"What's weird?" Sunset asked Jay

"Everything was moving slowly," Jay said, "and now it's moving in normal speed". Jay rose up from the table and told the girls "meet me outside after lunch", and he walked out of the cafeteria.

It Canterlot High bank, a man with a cap on his head walks up to the disk, "what can I help you with?" the woman who worked at the desk asked.
The man handed her a note standing "this is a robbery, is this suppose to be a joke?" she asked. The man said "you tell me" and stepped away and clouds begun to come out of his hands creating a storm inside the bank

Back at Canterlot high, Jay stood in the parking lot waiting for the girls to come out. Jay began to feel nervous. The girls walked out and meet up with Jay.

"Jay, what's the problem?" Rainbow Dash asks.

"I don't know," Jay said "I feel something changing"

Fluttershy looked down and saw something weird with Jay's hand.

"Um, Jay, your hand," Fluttershy said in a low pitched voice.

Jay looked at his hand, it was moving really fast, it was like it was vibrating. Jay had no idea, he moved a little bit and was on the other side of the parking lot. The girls were confused about what happened, Jay moved and was on the other side of the parking lot.

Jay begun to run and was moving faster than ever, he took a running circle around the school. Jay ran back to parking lot and crashed and broke the car to Flash Sentry. The girls walked to Jay to see that he was okay, the first thing Sunset Shimmer though was the fact that he crashed and destroyed Flash Sentry's car which made her happy cause she really wanted to get back at her ex-boyfriend after what he said at the battle of the bands.

At an empty airfield, Harrison Wells and his team from STAR labs Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow are at the airfield to test Jay's powers. His friends also came along with him only to see the testing of his powers, Caitlin asks Harrison Wells "you don't believe that he can run that fast do you?"

"I believe anything is possible and in a few minutes, I will too," Wells said.

Jay walked off the truck with a tight suit with a helmet and glasses.

"How does is it fit?" Cisco asked

"It's a little bit snug" Jay replied

"Properly you run so fast no one can see it," Rarity said

"Thank you Rarity," Jay said, "by the way, did you and Thawne work out?".

"Damn Rarity, Jay he got you again," Rainbow said.

Jay and Cisco walked together.

"See you thought the world was slowing down," Cisco said "well it wasn't, you were moving so fast it only looked like everyone was standing still" "doctor Wells will be monitoring your energy output and Caitlin you vitals.

"What do you do?" Jay asked.

"I make the toys man," Cisco said holding up a piece that had a lightning bolt on it "check it, this is a two-way headset with a camera I modified typically designed to combat battlefield impulse noise or in your case potential sonic booms which would be awesome"

Cisco took the helmet off Jay's, Caitlin walked to Jay checking his vital monitors. Jay looked at Caitlin and she asked.

"What?"

"Nothing, just that you don't smile as much," Jay said.

"My one promising career in bioengineering is over," Caitlin said "my boss is in a wheelchair for life, the explosion that sends you into a coma also killed my fiance, so this blank expression kind of feels like joy"

Caitlin walked away from Jay.

"Mr. Allen, while I am extremely eager to determine your fill range abilities I do caution restraint," Dr. Wells said

Jay took on the helmet and was ready to run. Harrison Wells took on his sunglasses, lighting began to stream through Jay's eyes, Jay began to run faster than ever blowing away papers and pushing Cisco back.

They looked at Jay running in superspeed, breaking the sound wall.

As Jay ran he begun to remember something when he was little, he was 11 years old and screamed mom. In a room there was a bolt of lightning, a woman was sitting on the floor screaming his name. Jay remembers that he saw a man in yellow.

He didn't get distracted for long and crashes into water cans breaking his arm

STAR Labs
It's been hours since the testing, Jay was sitting down the medical bed. Caitlin showed Jay an image of his broken arm.

"It looks like you had a distal radius fracture," Caitlin said

"Had?" Jay said confused.

Caitlin swiped the image showing his hand has healed "It's healed, in three hours"

"How is that even possible?" Jay asked

"He doesn't know," Caitlin said "yet".

The 6 girls in the room padded Jay on the shoulder calling him a quick healer.

"What happened out there today," Harrison asked approaching Jay on his wheelchair "you moved pretty and something caused you to lose focus".

"I started remembering something," Jay said

Harrison Wells began to give him a stare that asked him what it was, Jay began to talk about what he remembered.

"When I was 11 my mother was murdered," this caught the attention of everyone in the room "it was late, a sound woke me up and when I came downstairs and I saw what looked like a bolt of lightning".

Wells took off his classes and continues listening.

"Inside the lightning, there was a man," Jay said "he killed my mom, they arrested my dad, he's still sitting in iron heights for her murder". "Everyone, the cops, the shrinks they all told me what I saw wasn't possible. But what if the man who killed my mom was like me".

"I think I can say unequivocally you are one of a kind," Wells said.

Jay was walking down the street alone, his friends were still at STAR Labs. As Jay walked down the street, Rainbow followed Jay so she could talk to him.

"Jay wait," Rainbow said, and Jay stopped to talk with her.

"What is it?" Jay asked.

"I just wanted to say sorry," Rainbow said, "what about your mother, I am sorry".

"It's okay," Jay said, "it's just that my father still sits in iron heights for a crime he didn't commit, I just want to bring justice for him and get him out".

"I would have done the same Jay" Rainbow said.

"Well, Joe and Iris was the one who helped me heal all those years," Jay said.

"Who's Iris?" Rainbow asked.

"She was a friend of mine," Jay said, "mostly the only friend I had, she's still alive and writes for the Canterlot papers".

Rainbow smiles, but the smiles disappear when they see police cars chasing another car down the road. The police car crashes but no one gets hurt, Jay sees the driver and runs after him. Jay gets closer to the car and burst inside the car, he realized it was Clyde Mardon. Jay looked down seeing that he is taking a gun out of his pocket before Mardon gets to shoot Jay, Jay crabs the staring wheel and makes the car flip landing with the roof down.

Jay gets out of the car and sees Mardon walk away like it was nothing.

"HEY, MARDON?" Jay yelled. Mardon looked behind him seeing Jay.

They stood face to face distance from each other, Mardon took out his hands and a fog begun surrounding him and the street. Mardon disappeared from in the fog. A car crashed into the crashed car causing an explosion, Jay ran away from the road and lands on the grass.

The police, the firemen and the ambulance arrived at the scene, taking the man that died in the crash to the ambulance car.

"Jay are you alright?" Joe asked Jay when he approached him.

"Joe I know who did this" Jay tells Joe.

"What is it?" Joe asked.

"It's Clyde Mardon, I know everyone thinks he died in the plane crash the night of the STAR labs explosion but he's alive," Jay said, Joe looked concerned at Jay not believing what he is saying. "Something happened to him that night i... I think he can control the weather, the recent robberies they happened during freak meteorological events and when I just confronted Mardon the street were instantly enveloped in a fog" Jay said.

Joe looked concerned at Jay.

"Of course you don't believe me, you never believed me," Jay said.

"Okay you wanna do this now out here fine, Mardon is dead," Joe said, "there is no controlling the weather Jay like there was no lightning storm in your house, it was your brain helping a scared little boy accept what he saw".

"My dad did not murder her..." Jay got interrupted by Joe.

"Yes he did your dad killed your mother Jay, i am sorry son" Joe yelled to Jay "I knew it the jury knew it, now he's paying for what he did, I've been doing my best to take care since that night and I never asked for anything in return, not even a thank you but what I do ask is now is that you for once in your life you see things for what they are".

Jay walked away with nothing to reply to Joe only that he's mad, and Jay walked away from the crime scene.
Edward approached Joe with new information about the recent robberies.

"You're not gonna believe this, we got the eyewitness sketch of the robber from the bank job," Edward Thawne said handing Joe the sketch drawing "but no better I'd say Clyde Mardon" Edward took out a mug shot picture of Mardon.

"But that's impossible, he's dead right," Edward said.

Jay walked into back to STAR labs and into the cortex, Jay was really mad questions in his mind.

"I wasn't the only one effect by the particle accelerator explosion was?!" Jay yelled.

"We don't know" Harrison replied a second later.

"You said that the city was safe that there was no residual danger," Jay said, "but that's not true so what really happened that night?".

"Well, the accelerator went active" Harrison replied "we felt like heroes and then it all went wrong," Wells said showing a 3D video on the screen. "the dimensional barrier ruptured unleashed unimaginable energy into our world, anti-matter, dark energy, x-elements...".

"Those are theoretical," Jay said finishing the sentence.

"And how theoretical are you," Harrison said, "it left dispersion all around Canterlot City and we have no idea excellently what or who was exposed, I've been searching for other meta-humans like your self".

"Meta-humans?" Jay said.

"That's what we're calling them," Caitlin said.

"I saw one today, he's a bank robber," Jay said.

"This is just getting cooler," Cisco said cracking a smile.

"This is not cool okay," Jay said, "alright a man died".

The smiles of everyone disappeared into the room.

"Mardon must have gotten his powers the same way I did," Jay said, "from the storm cloud, he's still out there, we have to stop him before he hurts anyone else".

Jay walked to the door but before he could leave Harrison stops him.

"Jay, that's a job for the police," Harrison said

"I work for the police," Jay said.

"As a forensic assistance," Wells said.

"You're responsible for this, for him," Jay said.

"What's important is you!" Wells said, "not me, I lost everything, I lost my company I lost my reputation I lost my freedom and then you broke your arm and it healed in three hours".

"Inside your body could be a map to a whole new world of genetic therapy, vaccines, medicines and treasures buried deep inside your cells and we can not risk losing anything because you want to go out and play hero!" Wells said, "you're not a hero, you're just a high schooler that got struck by lightning and was lucky to survive".

Jay walked out of the lab, the other 5 girls walked in front of him standing up to Wells.

"What the blazes were that all about?" Applejack asked.

"Yeah, I mean he is totally a hero," Pinkie Pie said.

"Look I lost everything in that explosion," Wells said, "Caitlin lost her fiance, I lost my company, something I have worked my whole life to build".

"And you just want to use Jay to get everything back?" Rarity asked.

"What would you do if you lost everything you have to build?" Harrison asked "if I was all of you I would have done the same thing," Wells said.

Rainbow Dash walked into really mad.

"What did you tell Jay!" Rainbow asked.

"Look Rainbow, I am doing what is best for the future of STAR labs," Wells said.

"You're doing what's best for you," Applejack said.

"If you knew what's best for your future then you take that opportunity and don't waste it," Wells said, "that's all".

Jay was running in superspeed out of the city and begun to think about that night.

An eleven-year-old Jay Allen ran back to his house, police cars and ambulances were outside the house. Jay walked up to the door seeing the cops having Jay's dad Henry Allen in handcuffs. Jay walked into the house and saw a blue blanket covering a body, the young Jay approached the body and took the blanket off to show the dead body of Nora Allen.

Jay stopped outside another city, his jacked begun to take fire so he takes it off, Jay looks up at the sign standing knowing that he was five miles from starling city

Jay was standing on the top of a building one place in starling city to a friend in a hood and with a bow and arrow.

"I've spent my whole life searching for the impossible, never imagined that I would become the impossible" Jay said.

"So why come to me?" Oliver asked, "something tells me you didn't run six hundred miles only to say hi to a friend".

"All my life I wanted to... do more, be more and now I am" Jay said "and the first chance I get to help someone I screw up, what if Wells was right, what if I was a just a high schooler that got struck by lightning and was lucky to survive".

"I don't think that bolt of lightning struck you Jay" Oliver replied, "I think it chose you"

I am just not sure I am like you Oliver" Jay said, "I am not sure I am like you Oliver, I am not sure that I could become some vigilante".

"You could be better" Oliver replied, "cause you can inspire people, in a way that I never could, watching over your city like a guardian angel and make a difference and saving people, in a flash".

Oliver walked away from Jay and put on him a mask telling Jay his last word "make your own advice" Oliver said, "and wear a mask". Oliver jumped out of the building and shoot an arrow to the air swinging and attached himself to the building.

"Cool," Jay said to himself.

Oliver looks down at the streets seeing a streak running in a Flash.

"Cool," Oliver said to himself.

Back at STAR labs, everyone was surrounding a table that had a map over Canterlot city, Jay had with him boxes of files from the CCPD.

"I've been going over on solved cases for the last 9 weeks and there has been a sharp increase in unexplained deaths and missing people," Jay said.

"Seems like the Meta-humans has been busy," Sunset said

Jay told Cisco and Caitlin "not that we blame you, I know that you lost something but I need to stop Mardon and people like him and I can't do it without you guys".

"Jay if you're gonna do this, then you all would need our help," Applejack said.

"Yeah, we have faced evil before and we can help you guys," Rainbow said.

There was a moment of silence in the room, Cisco turned his head to look at Jay.

"If we're gonna do this, then I have something that might help," Cisco said.

Cisco showed them a dark red suit with a breathing mask on its head.

"I gotta say I love the dark red color on that suit," Rarity said, "fits Jay pretty well".

"Thank you" Cisco replied, Cisco turned his head to Barry telling him what it's made out of "this was made to replace the transnational firefighter suits, I thought that if STAR labs could do something for the community then everyone would have stopped being so angry and doctor Wells anymore".

"How is it gonna help me?" Jay asked.

"This is made reinforced metropolitan, it's heated and its resistance should stand you moving in top velocity speed" Cisco replied, "also it has built-in sensors so we can track your vitals and communicate with you from here".

"Thank's so how do we found Mardon?" Jay asked.

At a farm outside the city, Edward and Joe had arrived in their police car.

"If you're saying that Mardon is alive then this is the last place where he and his brother hid," Joe said.

They walked into the barn with guns in their hands loaded, they walked and saw Mardon sitting on a chair.

"Mardon on your feet and your hands on your head," Joe told Mardon

"You got me," Mardon said "the night of the storm, when STAR labs blew after our plane went down and I woke up on the ground alive, and when I saw what I could do I realized. I am god"

"Shut the hell up," Joe said.

Mardon rose up from his seat and a fog began to appear, he pushed Edward and Joe back knocking out Edward.

"You think you can stop god!" Mardon yelled.

Mardon began to create a tornado that busted through the roof of the barn, Joe grabbed Edward and dragged him out of the barn. When I piece of the roof was about to hit them something pushed that roof piece. Jay was in his suit, but the mask got annoying so he took it off.
Jay could hear Cisco and his friends on the other side. Jay looked at the tornado, it was heading to the city.

"The tornado is heading to the city what do I do?" Jay asked "what if I unravel it"

"How the hell are you gonna do that?" Caitlin asks.

"I run around it in the opposite direction which will make it turn in another direction," Jay said.

"Your body can't handle those speeds you will die," Caitlin said.

"I have to try," Jay said.

Jay began to run straight to the tornado, Joe was shocked by what he saw. As when Jay ran around the tornado he got pushed to the side.

Harrison Wells went to the control panel and talked to Jay.

"You can do this Jay, you were right i am responsible for all this" Wells said "many people got hurt because of me and when I looked at you all I saw was another potential victim of my youth, yes I created this madness but you Jay can stop this, you can do this so run Jay RUN!".

Jay begun to run around the tornado, his streak became lightning and he became faster than ever.

Jay finally stopped the tornado, Jay took his mask off. Jay was standing on his knees.

"Hey," said a voice, Mardon wasn't defeated, he held up a gun and said, "I didn't believe there were any more people like me".

"I am not like you," Jay said, "you're a murderer".

Before Mardon could shoot at Jay, Mardon got shot by Joe.

Joe walked to him to his knees believing what he just saw.

The next morning, ambulances were at the scene.

"I am sorry Jay," Joe said, "I am sorry that I didn't believe you and I called you crazy for chasing the impossible but you really did see something when your mother died, and your dad is innocent".

Iron Heights Prison
Jay was at iron heights in prison to meet his father, Henry Allen was happy to see his son after a long time.

"Hey slugger," Henry said

"You've been calling me that since I was eleven," Jay said, both chuckled. "Seemed like today I got into a fight today," Jay said.

"You just got out of a coma, I don't think you should be picking fights," Henry said, "but did you win?".

"Yeah, I did," Jay said, "you didn't kill mom, you know I know that right?".

"You believe in me," Henry said, "that's all I need".

You're not gonna be here much longer dad" Jay told Henry "whoever killed mom, whatever, I think I found a way to find them, to stop them".

"Jay, we've been over this you gotta move on," Henry said, "you gotta stop worrying about me, and live your life".

Both chuckled

"I just started at Canterlot high, and I got new friends on the first day," Jay said, "and when I woke up from the coma I made more, and they helped me to find my way in my new life".
"Remember that you want to change my name, so people don't have to know you're my dad, I am glad that they know because I am so proud to be your son," Jay said.

Henry smiled and replied, "I love you son".

"I love you to dad," Jay said as a tear came from his eyes.

Jay held his hand up to the glass, Henry took his hand up to the glass to were Jay's hand were.

Jay ran through the streets of Canterlot city and knew from that day on he would guard the city like a hero, like a guardian angel.

Back at STAR labs, Harrison Wells opens a door to a secret room, he enters the room and walked out of his wheelchair. Wells walks to the front of the room and held his head on something that opens a hologram which stands (Flash Missing Vanishes In Crisis)

The Fastest Alive

It was a normal day at Canterlot high, the six girls were sitting in the music room in a good mood but curious about the metahumans running around the city. Also that there is someone in the school exposed to the dark matter.

"There must be someone in the school that was exposed to the dark matter right?" Fluttershy said.

"What makes ya think that Shy?" Applejack asked.

"Well think about it, if people were exposed to the dark matter that would mean someone in the school must be exposed," Rainbow said.

Jay entered the room, he was listening to the conversation.

"I just hope Trixie wasn't exposed," Jay said, "then she will be after my ass if she got any powers".

"Yeah then we got an actual greatest and powerfullest villain to fight," Sunset said.

Jay was a little confused about what Sunset said "most powerfullest is not even a word" Jay said.

"Oh, that's something Trixie calls herself," Sunset said.

"Oh that makes sense," Jay said and laughed.

At the other place of the city, a light blue haired girl was walking down the street until someone pulled her into a back alley. The girl had pink skirt and shoes with a dark red jacket.

A mugger held up a weapon to her head threatening her "give me your money now!" the mugger yelled.

"Please don't hurt me," Sonata said and begged him not to hurt her.

"Then give your damn money!" the mugger yelled.

Sonata held her hands up and energy blasts came from her hands and blasted the mugger to the wall killing the mugger. Sonata was scared about what she did to him and walked away without any eyewitnesses.

The school was over and everyone was walking out of the school, Pinkie Pie asked Jay "hi Jay what are you gonna do today?".

"I don't know," Jay said and got a call from his phone, "Hi Joe".

"Hey Jay, I got a crime scene I need you to check out on," Joe told Jay.

"Okay" Jay replied and hanged up the phone.

Jay told the girls that he needed to go to a crime scene somewhere in Canterlot city. Sunset began to ask Jay that they could come to maybe check out how it is working at a crime scene. It was cool with Jay and they went to the crime scene.

They arrived at the scene, Jay had his forensic kit with him.

"So what do you got?" Jay asked Joe.

"Well this guy was found dead on the ground by a few people, no eyewitnesses," Joe said.

Jay walked to the corps and begun to search the corp for some evidence that could be needy. Jay saw the gun on the ground and the burning mark on his chest.

"By the burning mark on his chest and the gun on the ground, seems like he was a mugger and got killed by a meta-human," Jay told Joe.

"Why would a meta-human kill a mugger?" Joe asked.

"Properly self-defense that went wrong," Jay said,

The six girls walked to the crime scene and saw the dead body on the ground. "Whoa, what happened?" Sunset asked.

"By the burning mark on his chest and that gun on the floor, seems like this guy was killed by a meta-human" Jay replied.

"Why would a meta-human kill a mugger?" Fluttershy asked.

"I don't know, but I will find out," Jay said and brought the evidence he found back in the lab. Jay ran from the scene with the evidence in his hand. Joe looked at Jay walking away from the crime scene and begun to remember something that happened 5 years ago when Jay was 11

5 years ago, 11-year-old Jay was running down the streets until a police car stopped in front of him. Jay stopped and saw that it was Joe.
Joe brought Jay back to the house, was Jay sat down on the couch angry. "I wanna see my dad," Jay said.

"I already said no Jay," Joe said.

"He didn't do those things he didn't hurt my mom," Jay told Joe "I was there that night, I saw there was a man".

"Yeah I know, we've gone through this already," Joe said.

"Then why can't I go see him?" Jay asked. There was a brief silence between them.

"Because I said so," Joe said.

"You're not my father you can't tell me what to do!" Jay said loud.

"Right now I am the only adult who gives a damn so yes I can tell you what to do, now go to your room," Joe said.

Jay sat up on the couch angry and yelled "I hate you" and walked up the stairs.

Back at CCPD police station, Jay checked out the security footage of the scene were the mugger was killed. He saw the man holding up a gun to a girls head threatening her then an energy blast came from her hands killing the mugger. The six girls were walking into the lab to check how Jay is doing.

"Any info about the meta-human?" one of the girls asked

"Yeah, I got the footage right here"

The girls walked Jay's desk to see the footage, they gasped when they saw Sonata.

"That's Sonata Dusk," Rarity said.

"Is she a friend of yours?" Jay asked.

"Not quite but we know who she is," Sunset said.

"Well good, do you guys have any information about her, does she have any parents or siblings?" Jay asked.

"Well no but she lives with her friends I think?" Rainbow said.

"Okay, anything else?" Jay asked the girls who looked at him that they didn't know really much about Sonata Dusk.

"You guys seriously know nothing about her," Jay said.

"To be honest no" Applejack said.

"It's okay," Jay said and looked through the city database for a Sonata Dusk.

"I got her, she lives outside the city, a few blocks from our school," Jay told the girls and took on his jacket and walked out of the lab.

"Wait Jay" Rainbow said, "be careful".

"I will," Jay said and walked out of the lab.

Jay and Edward Thawne went to the house were Sonata Dusk and the sirens lived, they walked up to the doorstep and knocked on the door. They knocked again and someone replied, "can I help you?" Aria asked.

"Yeah my name is Jay Allen and this is detective Edward Thawne do you mind that we come in and ask some questions?" Jay said.

"Sure," Aria said and let the forensic scientist and the detective in.

They went to the living room and Jay and Edward sat down on a couch.

"So what is it that you wanna ask" Aria asked.

"Well we would ask some question about your friend Sonata Dusk" Jay replied.

"We caught a footage of her shooting strange energy beams from her hands killing someone who tried to mug her," Edward said.

"You seriously think that this is my sister," Aria said.

"Well, this is the footage we got from the crime scene and would please have a few words with her," Edward said.

"So what are you gonna put her behind bars?" Aria asked.

"No, we just need some evidence..." Jay got interrupted by someone behind them.

Edward and Jay turned their head around to see Sonata Dusk.

"Who are you guys?" Sonata asked.

Jay and Edward rose up from the couch and approached Sonata.

"Sonata Dusk, CCPD we need to talk to you about..." before Edward could finish, Sonata shot energy beams from her hands pushing Jay and Edward to the wall. Edward was knocked out but Jay was still conscious, Sonata was scared and ran out of the door. Jay got back on his feet and ran after her, out on the street, Jay appeared in front of Sonata and tried to confront her.

"Sonata stop, please I just want to help," Jay said, "I know that you don't want to hurt anyone but let me help you, let me take you to STAR labs so I can help".

"Just leave me alone!" Sonata screamed and shot Jay with energy beams from her hands pushing Jay away from her knocking him out.

Sonata ran away scared of her powers.

Jay woke up at STAR labs, the first thing he saw was the main 6 in front of him. Jay rose up from the bed and rubbed the back of his head.

"Jay, Jay are you alright?" one of the girls said.

"I'm fine," Jay said and rose up from the bed. "What happened?" Jay asked.

"The meta that you were after knocked you out" Cisco replied.

"What happened to Edward Thawne?" Jay asked.

"He's alright" Harrison Wells replied "he's at Canterlot city hospital"

"What did you think about going after the meta alone Jay?" Caitlin said really angry.

"I thought that I might confront her," Jay said "it seemed like she was scared of her powers"

"Some Meta-humans would be confused and scared about the powers they have no understanding of," Harrison said.

"True" Jay replied.

Sunset began to tell Jay everything about Sonata and the sirens.

"Jay there is something you need to know that we didn't tell you back at your lab," Sunset said.

"What would that be?" Jay asked.

"Well Sonata and her friends Aria and Adagio were called the sirens," Sunset Shimmer said, "they were a musical group from another world that feet of the power of hate anger of other of their singing".

"So they were like sirens from Greek mythology?" Cisco asked.

"Well yes, but they come from another world," Sunset said.

"How's that possible?" Jay asked

"Well I am just gonna skip that story and get to the fact," Sunset said, "during Canterlot highs battle of the bands when they tried to take over the world we defeated them with... magic".

"What, magic?" Jay said confused because he didn't believe in magic.

"And after then we didn't see them again," Sunset said.

"So what, we're fighting a siren from another world that can do magic?" Jay said.

"Well no, they don't have that ability anymore because we destroyed their powers" Sunset replied.

"Okay that sounds like it could become a movie," Cisco said.

Jay rose up from the medical bed and turned to look at her friends.

"So what do we do?" Jay asked.

One place in the city, Sonata is sitting all alone where she can't hurt anyone with her powers. Sonata began to wear gloves so those energy beams can't blast of her hands. Adagio and Aria came to comfort her. They approached her really easy to not scare her, "get away from me," Sonata said, not knowing what who was behind her.

"Sonata it's us," Adagio said, she looked behind her to see her sisters.

"We just want to help you Sonata," Aria said.

"You can't, I can't control it," Sonata told her sisters in fair.

"Can't control what?" Aria asked.

"I can't control the things that come out of my hands!" Sonata screamed shooting energy beams from her hands. The beams pushed them back and they looked at Sonata in fair. Sonata began to float in the air

At STAR labs Cisco has tracked a strange beam of energy close to Canterlot City.

"Jay there is a strange beam of energy coming from outside of the city," Cisco said.

Jay took his suit and ran in superspeed out of the lab, he ran through the street in a flash. He arrived at the scene and saw Sonata floating in the air. Light began to come out of her, she was about to explode

"Cisco what am I gonna do?!" Jay said into the comlink.

"Well the vitals says that she is about to explode and destroy a quarter of the city, so you need to run in circles around her to contain the blast," Cisco told Jay.

Jay began to run in full circles around her to contain the blast, Sonata begun to light up more and more. "Cisco, she's continuing to light up more!" Jay yelled into the comlink. Cisco began to think about of what he could do, "what if he created a tornado that is strong enough to contain her" Fluttershy said. Everyone in the room looked at Fluttershy and thought it was a good idea, Cisco told Jay over the comlink "Jay, you need to create a tornado strong enough to contain the blast".

Jay began to run faster and faster to wind began to surround Sonata and created a strong tornado. Energy blast began to come out of Sonata which didn't destroy her but filled the tornado with the energy blast and light. The light began to wear off and Jay began to slow down, Jay stopped and saw Sonata's unconscious body on the ground.

Adagio and Aria ran to Sonata and held her in their arms, Sonata begun to wake up and was happy to see her sisters around her. Jay still felt a little dicey after the running.

Back at STAR labs, Caitlin checked out Sonata's vitals and searched for the dark matter.

"Your powers are to shoot genetic energy beams out of your hand's Sonata," Harrison Wells said, "when you tried to contain that energy it tried to get out of you creating a blast which Jay could contain".

"I can't thank you guys enough," Adagio said, "without you guys, our sister would be dead".

"May we ask were you was during the night of the STAR labs explosion?" Jay asked sitting down in a seat.

"I was at the taco store" Sonata replied, "and when I was walking home I saw the explosion and something hit me that pushed me to the ground".

"That was the dark matter that mutated the cells in your body giving you powers" Wells replied.

"So what do we do now?" Adagio asked "since Sonata has powers and if she cannot contain it..." before Adagio could finish Jay told them.

"You just need to learn to control and embrace that power," Jay said.

"So what should we do now?" Aria asked.

"You guys are free to go, Sonata just needs to learn to control that power," Wells said.

"Thank you," Adagio said and the girls walked out of the lab. Jay rose up from his seat and walked to them telling Sonata.

"If you have problems with your powers, just remember that we are always here to help," Jay told them. Sonata turned around and ran to Jay giving him a big hug. A tear began to run down her cheeks, happy tears. She began to let go and walked back to her Dazzle friends and walked out of the lab.

When you first discover your new found powers you get scared and want to run away from everything you ever love and tries to contain that power. But sometimes you need to stop running from it and run toward it.

Multiplex

It was weekend and everyone at CHS had free, Jay went to his forensic lab at the CCPD. Jay worked with the chemicals but one of the machines didn't work so he just began to shake the tube. Jay walked to the computer and begun a little research on recent crime scenes. Sunset walked into the forensic lab to visit Jay. "Hi Sunset," Jay said, "Jay, could you do a little deed for me?" Sunset asked.

"What can I help you with?" Jay asked Sunset.

"Well since I work now in the Canterlot news I thought I could do a science report on Simon Stagg," Sunset told Jay, Jay didn't reply and just looked at Sunset. "What," Sunset said.

"Nothing, it's just that, you look amazing today," Jay said making Sunset smile.

"Well thank you," Sunset said.

"But yes I will help you with the paper," Jay said.

"So what are you working on?" Sunset asked. "It's evidence from a recent crime scene, about a robbery in a gun store" Jay replied. "The footprints show that a whole crew robbed the gun store but the shoes were the same size and the same type of shoes," Jay said.

Edward walked into the lab to say hello to Jay.

"Can I help you, Edward?" Jay asked. "Oh no I am just here to check out the forensic lab" Edward replied. Jay looked at Edward and asked, "is there something you're interested to know?" Jay asked him "no I just to see how things are going on with you after you woke up from coma" Edward replied.

"Well, everything has been good to me, I missed a lot of things while I in a coma but I am over it now," Jay said. "Okay it's great to know," Edward said and walked out of the lab.

At Stagg Industries building, the founder Simon Stagg held his speech on his research in organ transplant. When the speech was over and he got his Nobel prize, everyone in the room applauded. Stagg walked off the stage.
Jay and Sunset talked about Stagg research.

"Okay first thing first," Jay said to Sunset "Simon Stagg in cellular cloning has lead to the huge advancement of the future of organ transplant".

"You know these few weeks after you woke up from the coma, we haven't spend any time together," Sunset said, "then I mean as friends".

Simon Stagg walked pass Jay and Sunset, "oh, Mr. Stagg I hoped that I could get a quote from you for my article," Sunset asked Stagg.

"Not now miss," the guard told her and walked away with Stagg.

"I just make something up," Sunset told to her self.

A loud sound of a gunshot was fired into the by a man in a ski mask. People were scared and ducked to the ground. A crew of gunmen in ski masks came into the building. "Quite down all of you!" the man yelled. "I will consider it, you're all wearing your finest jewelry, almost like you knew that we were coming to rob you," the man said. "Now everybody lines up," he said and everyone took their jewelry in the bag.

A security guard came with a gun in his hand and told the men to freeze. The robbers stood in line and turned around and pointed their weapons at the guard. They fired but before the bullets hit him, Jay used his powers and ran and grabbed him. Jay took the guard outside and followed the robbers when they got to their getaway car, but before Jay could follow them he stopped. He felt dizzy and fainted.

Jay woke up and saw the face of Sunset, "Jay are you okay?" Sunset asked. "Sorry, I followed them but I fainted before I could get to them" Jay replied.

"Well it's not your fault," Sunset told him

"I know, I just felt a little dizzy for a few days now," Jay said.

Back at STAR labs, Caitlin is now pissed at Jay for not telling them that he experienced dizzy spells.

"You lied to us, how could you not tell us that you have experienced dizzy spells we're your doctors," Caitlin said, "God knows what happens inside your body, your cells are in a constant state of flux, you could be experiencing cardiopulmonary failure or transient deskinment attack".

Jay looked confused, "it means stroke, properly not," Wells told Jay.

"You of all people should know that in science we share, we do not keep secrets," Caitlin said and walked away.

"Wow I've never seen anybody make her this mad since Ronny," Cisco said and followed Caitlin.

"Ronny was Caitlin's fiance?" Jay asked Wells "the one who died the night of the accelerator explosion".

"Yeah he's... is missed," Wells said.

"What happened to him?" Sunset asked.

"We don't like to talk about it" Wells replied, "now, let's know why this is happening to you Jay".

In another room, there was a treadmill and a few boxes behind the treadmill. Jay was ready and walked on the treadmill, it started moving and Jay began to run. The treadmill started to go faster and Jay began to run faster than ever. Sunset, Wells, Cisco, and Caitlin checked the monitors and saw that everything was okay.

Caitlin looked at one of the monitors and they just realized why Jay's passing out.

"Jay I think we know why you keep..." before Wells could finish, Jay crashed into the boxes "passing out".

Jay woke up in a medical bed realizing that he passed out again.

"I passed out again?" Jay said.

"Total metabolic failure brought on by acute hypoglycemia, " Caitlin said.

"So I am not eating enough, one IV bag and I am good to go," Jay said. Jay turned around to see 40 IV bags empty.

"Try 40, guessing you were hungry," Wells said.

"We're gonna need to fashion you a new diet based on your metabolic changes," Caitlin said.

"I've done a few calculations, you need to consume an amount equal to roughly 850 tacos," Cisco said. "Or apples," Sunset said, Cisco looked at Sunset wondering why apples "Applejack is an apple farmer so she would make you some food based on apples," Sunset said.

"For Mexican, I recommended Tito's," Joe said walking into the lab.

"Detective West, what brings you to STAR labs?" Wells gently asked.

Joe looked at Jay and said to him "when I couldn't find you in your lab I started to do a little research, turns out there have been reports of a red streak around the city stopping muggers, rescuing people from burning buildings".

"You didn't tell we were working together," Wells told Jay.

"Joe I can explain," Jay said.

"You already have a job at law enforcement Jay, I suggest you get back to it," Joe told Jay.

"Mm-hmm," Caitlin said "don't look at me, I'm on your side"

"Detective, we all want what's best for Jay," Wells told Joe.

"If you wanted what was best for Jay you try to talk him out of this lunacy instead of encouraging going out there risking his life," Joe said.
"You saw a man control the weather, what are the police gonna do against someone like that" Jay said, "since the accelerator explosion we suspect there may be more like him".

"And you're gonna do what," Joe said crossing his arms "catch them, are you insane? you think because you can run real fast that you're invincible, you're not, you're just a kid, my kid".

"I'm not your kid, joe, and you're not my father," Jay said breaking a silence between them. "My father is sitting in iron heights, wrongfully convicted, you were wrong about him and you're wrong about this. Now I may not be able to help him but if I can save someone from a burning building or stop some armed thieves, I am gonna do it and you can't stop me!. So don't try".

"You think you're so smart, all of you but you don't know what you don't know," Joe said and pointed his finger at Wells "and I hope you'll clever enough to figure it out before somebody gets killed". Joe walked out of the lab.

Back at the CCPD station, Jay's table was full of empty doughnut boxes that he has eaten from. Joe walked into the lab to give Jay some DNA samples.

"Have you come to yell at me again?" Jay said.

"Simon Stagg head of security was murdered last night, the coroner took some skin samples and hopefully they belong to the killer see that you can find a match," Joe said.

"Can't be a coincidence the tax benefit was attacked last night?" Jay said.

"I am going to interview Stagg now"

"I'll come with you," Jay said

"Your job is in here staying her and do it," Joe told jay and walked out of the lab.

Jay felt frustrated, he walked to his computer and scanned the DNA sample. Sunset, Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, and Fluttershy walked into the lab to great Jay.

"Howdy Jay," Applejack said.

"Hi AJ," Jay said.

"Sunset told what happened and that you need to consume a lot of food and have you seriously eaten so many doughnuts," Rarity said.

"Well since you're going to eat a lot of food we brought you an apple pie..." Time began to slow down, Jay ran in circles around them in slow time talking to himself.

"You don't know how it's like, I am fast now and I really want to tell you what a feel but I can't," Jay said to himself.

"That you could eat," Pinkie said finishing her sentence. The computer was already done scanning, Jay walked to the computer and said "weird".

"What is it?" Fluttershy asked.

"Impossible, there was a murder last night these skin cells belong to the murderer but these cells are naive, stem cells they can replicate and become any cells the body needs, they only come from babies," Jay said.

"So the killers are babies?" Rainbow asked.

"That would be funny that they were babies but I doubt it," Jay said.

Jay walked down the stairs out of the lab and cops rushing out with weapons.

"Captain what's going on?" Jay asked.

"Not now Jay, an armed gunman is shooting up Stagg Industries," Captain Singh said.

Jay realized that Joe was there, Jay ran back to the lab and grabbed his suit. The girls asked him "what's going on?", "the murderer is at Stagg Industries, get back to STAR labs, I will meet you there" Jay replied and the girls walked out of the lab heading to STAR Labs.

There was a massive shootout between Joe and Danton Black, Danton begun to replicate himself making extra versions of him. Jay got to the storage house taking the guns away from Danton and told Joe to run. Joe ran away.

Jay stood face to face with Danton Black, "whoever you give yourself up" Jay told Black. "Sorry, we're not going anywhere until Simon Stagg is dead".

Jay fought off two clones but Danton made three more, Jay punched Danton in the guts making even more clones. Danton attacked Jay and pulled him to the ground beating him up. Danton pulled and dragged him to the side of some cans, they held up weapons at him ready to fire. But Jay runs away from them and gets outside of the building ripping his mask off where no one could see him.

Back at STAR labs, Caitlin began to rub a little sponge on his wounds that hurt a little.

"Sorry the abrasions are already rapidly healing," Caitlin said.

"If there wasn't some many of him then you could totally beat him up," Rainbow said.

"Yeah, I got my ass handed to me," Jay said.

"You got blood on Cisco's suit Jay," Rarity said.

"I think some of it belongs to him," Jay said "another not so friendly metahuman".

Harrison wells pulled up a picture and file on Danton Black on the screen.

"Danton Black, he's a bio-geneticist specialize in therapeutic cloning, growing new organs to replace failing ones," Wells said.

"Apparently Stagg stole his research and then fired him," Caitlin said.

"I saw Black create duplicates of himself from his own body," Jay said.

"That's pretty ironic, the guy specialized in cloning and now he can make Xeroxes of himself," Cisco said, "If he was experimenting on himself when he was exposed to the dark matter wave released by the particle accelerator explosion..." Wells said.

"Meet Captain Clone" Pinkie and Cisco said at the same time. Everyone in the room looked at them and were not amazed about the name. "Don't worry I'll come up with something cooler?" Cisco said.

Jay began to walk out of the lab, " where you're going?" Sunset asked.

"Joe was right, I'm in way over my head, yeah I'm fast but I am no warrior and I can barely fight one metahuman let alone six," Jay said.

"Jay, I understand, today was a setback but any grand enterprise has them and we can never learn t fly without crashing a few times," Wells said.

"This wasn't a grand enterprise dr.Wells, this was a mistake" Jay said and ran in superspeed out of the lab and across the streets.

Jay began to remember something five years ago when he visited his dad in prison.

5 Years Ago
Eleven-year-old Jay was sitting outside waiting for his father when he saw escort guard escorting his father, Jay ran to him but the guard stopped him telling him "no physical contact" Jay said. They sat down at a table where they could talk.

"Jay how did you get here," Henry Allen asked.

"I ran here, Joe wouldn't bring me he wouldn't let me see you I hate him," Jay said.

"No no don't say that," Henry said, "it isn't Joe that doesn't want you to come here, I don't want you to come here I don't want to see me like this".

Jay turned his head to look at a security guard telling him "you have to let him go my dad didn't do this thing, he didn't hurt my mom it was the man in the lightning the lightning man killed my mom not my dad".
"Jay look at me," Henry told Jay, Jay turned his head to look at his father "you can't help, okay Joe is gonna look after you until I can get out of here you just be the good boy your mom and I know you are".

Jay began to hug his father, the guard escorted Henry Allan back to his cell.

Back at CCPD station.

"Mr. Stagg I wish you would reconsider our offer for protective custody, Danton Black has proven that he's willing to kill you," Joe said, "he got friends and trust me they're all dangerous".

"I've increased my security detective, I hope Black comes looking for trouble because he'll find plenty" Stagg said.

There was a loud clapping made by someone in the building. Joe and Stagg turn their head to see Harrison Wells, Wells stopped clapping and began to approach Stagg in his wheelchair.

"Spoken like a true philanthropist or is it humanitarian, I am sorry I can never remember which one you're pretending to be Simon," Wells said.

"Harrison, don't get up," Simon said as a means of a joke.

"Haha," Wells laughed and Simon Stagg walked to the elevator.

"Another fan of your doctor?" Joe asked.

"Can we talk detective?" Wells said.

"So you were right, Jay is not the only one who's special," Joe said, "this guy that tried to kill Simon Stagg today he could..."

"Replicate spontaneously yeah we know," Wells said.

"Did you know about Jay?" Joe asked. "When he was first in his coma you came to the hospital and you asked me that you could take him to STAR labs, did you know what he could do?".

"I had my suspicions and he was, affected," Wells said, "Hey Joe I was never looking to become a senior member of a secret crime-fighting unit, you and I both know we are the only ones equipped to protect Canterlot City".

"Maybe I am more interested in protecting Jay but of course he's all set to fly into the fire right with you," Joe said.

"No, he's not anymore, I'd quit didn't tell you," Wells said.

"I haven't seen him," Joe said

"I am sure that's only temporary," Wells said "Well then Jay says he find something, no one's gonna talk about him out of it but next time he suits, runs headlong into danger. He will fail, why, because he doesn't think he's capable doubt, that's his real enemy. Joe not whatever is lurking out there and as long as you continue to doubt him and keep doubting himself".

Wells was about to leave telling Joe one last thing "and for the record, I care about them too".

Jay was sitting at Big Belly Burger getting something to eat, he ordered a lot of food and no one cared to ask why he needed to eat a lot.

Jay got a call on his phone from STAR labs, he answered "look I already said that I am trough" Jay said.

"I know but you need to get back right now," Caitlin said on the other line in a scared voice.

Jay ran back to STAR labs and saw Danton Black standing in the cortex. Jay stood right in front of him "Jay it's okay" Sunset said, "it's not oka Black is here and he's just, standing there that's not him is it" Jay said.

"That's one of his replicates," Caitlin said.

"How did you guys get it?" Jay asked.

"I and Caitlin grew him," Sunset said

"How?" Jay asked.

"We isolated a sample of Black's blood from your suit to see we could trigger the in Vitro cultivation process and learn how Black multiplies, so we exposed the target cell to a protein gel and they begin replicating into that" Sunset and Sunset explained.

Jay waved his hand over Black so he could get any movements.

"Why isn't he, it doing anything?" Jay asked.

"We did a brain scan and voluntary motor functions are active little else," Wells said

"We think it's acting like as a receiver" Cisco explained.

"The clones are an empty shell without Black, shut down the real black and you might shut them all down" Caitlin explained.

"And how do I know which one's the real Danton Black" Jay asked.

"That occurred to us given your own passing out, Black has limits just like you, controlling all those clones must require a tremendous amount of physical strength so look for the one who shows signs of weakness fatigue, he's the prime" Caitlin and Sunset explained.

"Just a theory but when you might put to the test Mr. Allen," Wells said.

"Pluss we whipped up these high-calorie protein bars for you to keep your metabolism," Cisco said.

The clone began to move scaring everyone in the lab making the main 6 jump as well, the clone turned around and got shot by Joe. "Any more of them?" Joe asked, "nope" Caitlin replied.

"Why did it start moving?" Jay asked.

"Prime, I guess the prime is on the move this heard the summons to battle" Wells replied.

"And I know he was summoned to, Stagg Industries" Joe said putting his gun in his holster.

"You should call it in," Jay said.

"The police can't fight this, what Black's become like Mardon beyond me, maybe way beyond them too," Joe said "the only person it's not beyond, is you. You got to do this, I get it, so for once in your life do what I tell you to do, go stop him".

Jay did what Joe said, Jay went to the stand where his suit was and was ready to go into battle and stop Dantom Black.

It was night time at Stagg Industries building, Simon Stagg heard a gunshot from his office. He rose up from his desk and walked down the lobby to see what was going on. When he arrived there he saw the dead bodies of his guards. He looked up and saw three Danton Black's "Hello Danton," Stagg said. "Goodbye Simon" Black said and held up a gun to shoot him, but before he could shoot a red blur ran at lightning speed and grabbed Stagg and got him out of there.

The red streak took him back to the office, Jay told him to stay there and ran back to the lobby. Jay saw multiple of Danton Black's with weapons.

"I know Stagg stole your research but that doesn't give you the right to murder," Jay told Black.

Danton fired a gun but Jay dodged it. Jay ran and took out two clones. He looked behind and saw one of Danton's clones approaching him "you think this is about my job" Danton said. He attacked him and pulled him up to a pillar "this is about Elizabeth" Black said, "she was my wife" said another clone and fired the weapon but Jay ran and took the clone out.

"She had a degenerative coronary disease, she has been on the transplant list for years but time was running out," Black said searching for Jay "so if I couldn't get her a new heart".

"You were gonna grow her one," Jay said

"I so close until Stagg stole my research so he could reap the glory, and I got to bury my best friend, now I am alone," Black said. Jay attacked the clone and turned around to see more clones running to attack him. The Danton clones kicked Jay's ass, Jay got free and ran to another part of the building.

"Remember Jay, find the prime" Caitlin said over Jay's comlink.

"There's too many of them to fight," Jay said.

"Jay, you need to isolate the prime" Wells said.

"I can't it's impossible," Jay told Wells.

"Nothing is impossible Jay, you taught me that," Joe said, "you can do this".

Jay turned around and saw a whole army of Danton Black's, about to kill Jay. Jay used all his speed and ran through the crowd knocking off every Danton clones.

Jay reached the prime, Jay grabbed him and took him to the third floor knocking him out. Jay looked down on the other clones, they all shut down instantly.

"Jay, Jay are you all right?" Joe asked over the comlink.

"I'm fine, I'm fine" Jay replied, "it's done".

Behind Jay, Danton got back woke up and tried to attack Jay. Jay got to the side and Danton crashed into the window, Jay grabbed Danton's arm trying to save him telling Danton to hang on. Danton said no, another arm grew out and squeezed Jay arm forcing him to let go. Danton felt down to the ground and died.

Back at STAR labs, the team looked at the TV screen a newscast broadcasted about Danton's death.

"I tried to save him," Jay said.

"Seems like that he didn't want to be saved," Wells said "some people and they break, they can't be put together again"

"Some people healed even stronger," Jay said.

"I hope so," Wells said.

Jay walked out of the lab and padded Wells on his shoulder.

"Well at least Multiplex won't be able to hurt anyone else," Cisco said, "told you that I and Pinkie would come up with a cool name". Everyone in the room smiled for a little bit.

"I may be the one in the suit doing all the running, but when I am out there helping people, making a difference," Jay said, "you're all there with me, finally realized something, we were all struck by that lightning". And Jay walked out of the lab.

Back at the CCPD station, Jay is in his forensic lab clearing out some papers. Joe walked into the lab with pizzas in his hands asking Jay that he was hungry. Joe smiled and put the pizzas on the table "pepperoni, cheese and pineapple just like you like them" Jay said.

"Thank you," Jay said.

Joe looked at the map over Canterlot City and told Jay "you were wrong".

"I have been wrong a lot this week you need to be more specific," Jay said.

"You said one of the things driving you to run around out there that you couldn't help your dad," Joe said and pulled the map up showing Jay's search for the man in yellow. "You can't help him, we can and we're gonna figure out who or what killed your mother that night and then we're gonna get your dad out of prison together".

"Joe when I said about you not being my father," Jay said

"Jay I know, I know I'm not your father," Jay said.

"You're right you're not, you're just the man who kept me fed and in clothes," Jay said "Precepts on may be at night until I fell asleep because I was afraid of the dark, helped me with my homework, tell me how to drive and you let me work as a CSI in a young age, you dropped me off at school every day, sounds like a dad to me".

Joe sat down at the table eating pizzas with Jay.

Every kid dreams to be a superhero, having powers saving people. But no kid thinks about how it's like when you're a hero and you're not saving people, the truth is now a lot of things changes. You still hurt you still love, you still wish and hope and fear things and you still need people to help you with all of it and in some ways, that's the best part. But actually, the best part is to run faster than the speed of light.

At Stagg Industries building, Simon Stagg sits in his office all alone. But when he turns around he sees Harrison Wells at his door.

"Wells, how the hell did you get in here?" Stagg asked

"Are you having a party out there?" Wells asked.

"I'm pretty sure you saw it on TV, a former employee of mine tried to kill me," Stagg said.

"A former employee with the ability to replicate himself, facing a man that can move in super speed," Wells said.

"You saw him haven't you," Stagg said

"Indeed I have" Wells replied.

"Extraordinary" Stagg said and rose up from his seat "the power he possesses it's like the Mercury on earth, can you imagine if you could control his powers if you could harness it you could change what it means to be human, the man in the red mask is the key and I am gonna get him".

Wells took off his glasses and said "the man in the red mask, he's called The Flash or at least he will be one day" Wells and rose up from his wheelchair confusing Stagg.

"What the hell" Stagg said, he was confused that Wells could walk.

Wells took out a knife and plunged it into Stagg's chest. Stagg tried to resist, "forgive me, son. I am worried that you think that this is personal but it's not, it's just that the man in the red mask. The fastest man alive, he must be kept..." And Wells pulled the knife out of Stagg and he Simon fell to the ground dead and Wells finished his sentence "safe".

Things You Can't Out Run

It doesn't matter if you're the slowest kid in gym class or the fastest man alive, every one of us is running. Being alive means running, running from something running to something or someone and no matter how fast you are there's something you can't outrun. Somethings that always manage to catch up to you like school.

Jay ran to school at super speed and stopped one black from the school and walked into the school and meet up with Rainbow Dash and Sunset Shimmer. "Hey guys," Jay said as he approached them. "Hi Jay, so how is it to be The Red Blur?" Sunset asked him.

"What?" Jay asked confused.

"There is this website about you," Sunset said holding up her phone showing the site "it is written by someone named Iris West".

"Wait did you say Iris West?" Jay asked.

"Yeah, do you know her?" Sunset asked.

"Yeah, she was my friend when I was younger" Jay replied, "And why The Red Blur?".

"I don't know but it kinda catches on with you," Sunset said.

"Nah whatever," Jay said and walked with them down the hallway with them "so do you guys have any plans after school?" Jay asked them.

"I don't know, what are you gonna do?" Rainbow asked.

"I really want to try that pizza restaurant at Grant Avenue," Jay said.

"That sounds awesome," Rainbow said.

"It is," Jay said.

The CMC walked up to them and wanted to talk with Jay because they idolized him just like they idolized Rainbow. Because Jay has been struck by lightning and woke up from coma alive and well. They began talking to talk with Jay.

"Hey Jay," Applebloom said.

"Can I help you, girls?" Jay asked and stopped walking.

"We just wanted to see how you've been since you woke up from come a few weeks ago," Sweetie Belle said.

Jay looked confused that actually knew about him.

"How did you know....?" Jay asked.

"Rainbow told the whole school about you" Scootaloo replied.

Jay turned his head to look at Rainbow Dash, "you told everyone?" he asked.

"Why not, students here at CHS should know about you," Rainbow said.

"Did you tell people that I also worked at CCPD as a forensic scientist?" Jay asked.

"Y...yes" Rainbow said, "but still everyone thinks you're awesome".

"Yeah I wanted my life to be a little private but it's good to know that there are people that think's I am cool," Jay said.

"They also think you're awesome too Jay also there is some that admire are you," Rainbow said "well... everybody instead of Trixie".

"I knew it," Jay said.

"So what happened when you woke up" One of the CMC's asked.

"Well I woke up in STAR labs" Jay replied.

"I wonder, what does STAR labs stand for?" Scootaloo asked.

" It stands for Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Laboratories or S.T.A.R Labs" Jay replied, "and I know what happened when the explosion occurred but I don't think people should be angry at Harrison Wells, just saying".

"That makes a lot of sense," Scootaloo said

jay got a call on his phone straight from the Cisco, "excuse me for a minute" Jay said to the girls and went somewhere in the halls to get some privacy.

"Hello," Jay said answering his phone.

"Jay there is a code 237 on Ward Boulevard," Cisco said.

"Public indecency?" Jay asked since he was a CSI he knew about the police codes.

"Wait, I think I meant a 239." Cisco tried to correct himself.

"Dog leash violation?" Jay asked again before Caitlin's voice took over.

"Badman with a gun in a getaway car. Go." She said.

Jay ran out of the school in super-speed without nobody seeing that he could run at superspeed.

Elsewhere in town, A man was indeed in a getaway car with the police right behind him. The police pulled up next to him and he fired at them with his gun.

"He's got a gun. Look out!" One of the officers said.

Jay was running towards the chase and soon went to the side of the car, before zooming through both cars and running back. The officers turned to the car seeing it was empty.

"Where'd he go?" The officer asked his partner.

The two then heard something in the back and turn to see the guy they were chasing was in the back of the car, cuffed up.

"What the..." One of the officers said as the two look at each other.

Jay raced back to the school and no one noticed that he was gone or that he could run at super speed. He meets up with his other friends and began to find something to eat since Jay run fast now and burns thousands of calories he needs to consume the school food they serve at this school.

Meanwhile...
At one place in the city inside a restaurant, a group of men had a meeting. One young man walked up to his uncle and said "why so public meeting uncle?" he asked.

"We're dining out to show our enemies that we're not afraid," The man said "relax nephew, we replaced the window with bulletproof glass. Close it up, come and have a drink".

A man walked to the door and closed it and broke the key so no one could get out.

"Our own drivers are ripping us off," the man says as a green smoke surrounded the floor "someone is paying them to steal from us, none of you will sleep until we find out who".

The green smoke reached his face and he began to cough "and those thieves... and those thieves will draw... their last breath". The man couldn't breathe anymore and collapsed to the floor, the men around the table couldn't breathe so one of them shoot through the window but the problem is that it is bulletproof.

Every one of them collapsed to the floor and died from the poison gas.

Canterlot High
At the cafeteria, Jay had a lot of food on his plate. He carried them to his table and sat down with his other friends. One of the students walked past and saw how much food Jay had on his plate. "Woah, you have so much food on your plate," He said, "I've been jogging and have burned a lot of calories so... I am really hungry" Jay replied.

"Make sense" the students replied and walked away.

When Octavia walked past them she noticed Jay sitting down at that table, he walked to him and said: "are you, Jay Allen?" She asked.

"Yes, why asking?" Jay said.

"Well we have heard a lot about you and that you survived getting struck by lightning and that you work for CCPD as a CSI forensic assistant" Octavia said.

"Wait how did you know about me working for CS... wait, did Rainbow Dash tell you?" Jay asked.

"Yep," She said.

Jay got a call on his phone from Joe West, Jay answers the phone "hello" Jay says.

"Jay I need you at a crime scene in the city," Joe said.

"I'll be there" Jay replied and rose up from his chair, Jay told his friends that he needed to go "I need to go CSI 24/4," Jay said.

"But you still have," Sunset told Jay.

"CSI 24/7," Jay said and walked out of the school. When he's outside the building he uses his speed to get to the crime scene.

At the crime scene, Jay recovered a few of the dead bodies with sheets.

"Jay, anything?" Joe asked.

"Tons of hits a toxic epoxy, the cells in their bodies weren't able to utilize oxygen, it's consistent with exposure to poison gas," Jay told Joe.

"What kind of poison"? Joe asked

"I need to take a lung sample to see if I can narrow it down," Jay said

Edward approached Joe "only other exits was bolted from the inside, they were trapped, I was thinking someone pump gas in from the outside but the witnesses said the street was empty".

"So it was from the inside, that means there should be a canister left behind. The gas didn't come in by itself" Joe said.

"Unless it has a mind on its own," Jay said, Joe turned around to look at Jay, he turned back to Edward.

"Edward would you mind canvassing again, somebody had to see something suspicious," Joe told Edward, and Edward walked away. Joe turned to around to talk to Jay about his theory that the murderer was a metahuman "okay, explain" Joe said.

"The boss collapsed by the table, this guy made it ten feet away, that guy had the chance to move and fire three shots into the window trying to break the glass," Jay said "but they all started in the same spot which means that they all been affected by the gas at the same time but instead it's if".

"They were attacked by one by one," Joe said, "my gut feeling we're gonna solve this one, you and I are gonna need backup".

At STAR Labs, the six girls were already done with school and were at STAR labs with the rest of the gang.
"Fascinating, a meta-human that can manipulate poison gas." Harrison Wells said when he heard about when Jay told them about the gas attack.

"Is it just poisonous gas, or can he control all aerated substances?" Cisco asked.

"And how is he able to formulate the connection?" Caitlin added.

"This individual can create a mental nexus using gaseous substances." Harrison Wells said.

"You mean to connect with gases on a molecular level?" Caitlin asked.

"Yes." Harrison Wells said.

"That is ridiculously cool," Cisco said.

"They get really excited about this stuff," Jay told Joe

"The only thing I am excited about is putting criminals behind bars, except iron heights isn't a place equipped to handle meta-humans," Joe said.

"Guess it's fortunate the ones you've encountered so far is no longer with us, all except the that Sonata girl," Wells said.

"Well unless we're planning on executing every super criminal we stopped you geniuses must come up with someplace to hold them," Joe said.

"A meta-human prison, Sweet," Cisco said getting an idea.

"Until we figure a way to remove their powers," Wells said.

"There is one place here that might hold them," Cisco said.

"You can't be serious. I mean, we haven't been down there since... it's cordoned off." Caitlin said knowing where this was going.

"Cisco is right it could be modified to act as a makeshift prison" Wells said.

"What could," Jay asked.

"The particle accelerator," Wells said.

There was a big silence in the room, one brought up a word.

Flashback...9 months earlier,

"Tonight, the future begins. The work my team and I will do here will change our understanding of physics, will bring about advancements in power, advancements in medicine. And trust me, that future will be here faster than you think," Harrison Wells said as the crew around her cheered.

"Doctor Wells, we just got the latest weather report. A big thunderstorm is rolling in," Cisco said told Wells

"We're not launching a space shuttle. We'll be fine." Wells said.

"Tahiti?" A man asked Caitlin

"I know it's a long flight Ronny, but we can binge watch Orange Is The New Black," Caitlin said.

"Oh, okay." Ronny said, "but what about Italy? pizza and wine and more pizza"

"Yes, but Italy doesn't have mai tais, and a honeymoon isn't a honeymoon without mai tais," Caitlin said smiling.

"Mr. Wells, the accelerator is primed and ready for particle injection," Cisco told Wells.

"Well, I feel I should say something profound like "one small step for man," but all I can think of to say is, I feel like I've waited for this day for centuries," Wells said as the machine turned on.

"That's it? You'd think there'd be, like, a loud bang." Cisco asked Wells.

"If there was a loud bang, we'd all be in big trouble," Ronny said

Take it from the guy who helped build it." Caitlin said looking at her fiance.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we did it," Wells said as the workers cheered again and Ronny and Caitlin kissed.

"Mai tais it is," Ronny told Caitlin.

Doctor Harrison Wells popped open a drink as others grabbed their cups. Everyone stopped as they saw the liquid raise out of it. Before anyone could ask what was happening, the alarm went off and the room shook with a loud noise filling the air. Something was clearly wrong with the particle accelerator.

"Was that..." Cisco asked

"A loud bang," Ronny said.

"Caitlin, Caitlin. Did you hear me?" Harrison Wells said snapping Caitlin out of her thoughts."I'm going down to the accelerator ring." Wells said.

"Actually doctor Wells I could use Caitlin's help identifying the poison gas," Jay said.

"Okay," Wells said.

"If that's okay with you?" Jay asked her and she nods. "Let's go," Caitlin said and they left.

At the CCPD station, Jay and Caitlin walked into the building and was heading to the forensic lab.

"Welcome to the CCPD, Canterlot City Police Department," Jay said.

"So this is your day job," Caitlin said, "Mm-hmm," Jay said.

"Wow, from a young age you work as a forensic scientist," Caitlin said.

"Lab rats we need prints of this gun pronto," a police officer said giving Jay a plastic bag with a gun in it.

"Allan!, where the hell is the fiber analysis of the Orloff case?" Captain Singh said.

"It's upstairs I can just run up and bring it down," Jay said heading to the forensic lab.

"With you that could take three weeks from now, I'll come with you," Singh said. "Who are you?" he asked when he noticed Caitlin Snow.

"Dr. Caitlin Snow Jay's personal physician," Caitlin told Singh.

At the forensic lab, Jay scatters the whole lab to find the files, he moves so fast that papers begin to fly everywhere, he finally finds the files and Singh walks through the door.

"Your fiber analysis for the Orloff case like you asked for sir," Jay said and gave him the files. Singh takes the files in his hands.

"Clean up your lab, it's a mess," Singh said and walked away.

Harrison Wells and Cisco Ramon had reached the particle accelerator and looked at the area they were going to use.

"The copper in the tube is arranged to form cavities, and we can use those cavities as containment course, we'll have to design them to counteract meta-human abilities, but... might just work," Wells said.

"First, we have to decouple the main injection system on the gantry level. I'll be right back." Wells said and started to roll away.

"Why don't I do that?" Cisco quickly asked.

"I need the exercise," Wells said and walked out of the room.

Cisco Ramon looked at the pipeline. He never forgot the choice he made.

Everyone started working trying to find out what is happening with the particle accelerator

"There's an anomaly in the core chamber," Cisco said.

"The ring's structural integrity is holding," Caitlin said looking at it.

"It's starting a chain reaction. The system is collapsing. We need to shut it down. We can't ramp down the accelerator from here. We need to do it manually." Wells said.

Once they realized what they had to do, Harrison Wells turned to Cisco and said, "Go."

"I'll come with," Ronny said.

"Ronny, no," Caitlin said making him turn.

"I'm the lead engineer. I know how to operate the shutdown valve." Ronny reminded her.

"It's not safe." She said sadly.

"Cait, I have to go." He said and give her a quick kiss before he and Cisco ran off.

Both Cisco and Ronny reached the pipeline.

"Okay, you stay here. We've only got a few minutes before this thing blows, and if I'm not back in time, you need to initiate the lockdown." Ronny told Cisco.

"No way. I am not closing this door. I won't be able to open it again." Cisco said not wanting his best friend to be stuck in there.

"Soarin, if you don't seal off the blast, everyone in this building will die, including Caitlin," Freeze Burn told him.

Cisco still didn't like it but he knew Ronny had a point.

"Set your watch. Two minutes." Ronny said.

Cisco Ramon did and watched as Ronny Raymond ran in the pipeline.

"Cisco, Cisco, we're ready to go." Harrison Wells breaking him off of his thoughts.

"Must be hard, coming back down here. A lot happened that night. If you feel the need to talk..." Harrison said knowing what he was thinking about.

"I was just thinking, we need to nail those voltage calculations. One fault and the helium blowback could damage the mountings." Cisco said.

"Smart." Harrison Wells said and Cisco walked away.

Cisco still has the thought of the decision he made, something that he can't get out of his head. He meets up with the other six girls in the hallway. "Cisco are you alright?" Sunset asked, "yeah it's just... on that night a friend of mine died in the particle accelerator when it exploded" Cisco replied.

There was a brief moment of silence between them, "who was he and what happened what happened?" Applejack asked.

"His name was Ronnie Raymond, he used to be a structural engineer on the accelerator when he constructed the lab," Cisco said "he was Caitlin's fiance, the day of the accelerator he told me to lock the door. He didn't come back, he told me if he didn't come back in time I would close that door, I regret doing it but he knew what he needed to do".

"Cisco it's not your fault," Rainbow told Cisco, "I know but, it's just that I regret doing it," Cisco said and continued walking away.

At the CCPD Jay and Caitlin still waited on the result of the poison gas til Jay began asking Caitlin "can I ask you something that you don't have to answer?" Jay said.

"My least favorite kind of question, shoot," Caitlin said.

"Ronnie, What was he like? You just never talk about him that much." Jay asked.

"We met when we were working on the particle accelerator. He was the structural engineer. He liked to joke that he was basically a very high-priced plumber. We were very different. You might have noticed I can be a bit guarded. He used to say we were like fire and ice. He wasn't supposed to be there that night. He was just there for me. If he hadn't..."

She turns to see the printer working and a paper coming out.

"This says that there was no residue of gas in the tissue, poisonous or otherwise," Caitlin said looking at the paper.

"Must have evaporated, we need to go for a sample?" Jay said.

Wait, this can't be right. This says that there are two distinct strands of DNA inside the tissue." Caitlin said looking at the paper.

"How did someone else's DNA get inside the victim's lungs?" Jay asked.

At Canterlot mall a woman is walking to the elevator to get down to the first floor, she had her phone with her and was talking with her daughter. "Well, my docket was clear, so I stopped by the mall to pick up your homecoming dress. I am a great mom. I'll see you for dinner, sweetie." She said and got in the elevator.

Jay looked at the computer and found no DNA match in the database "there's no DNA match in the database" Jay said.

"I don't understand, why would a chemical attack leave behind another person's DNA inside the victim?" Caitlin said.

"What if the meta-human we're looking for doesn't control gas? What if he becomes it?" Jay said figuring out what they were dealing with.

Just as the elevator doors close a man stepped.

"Miss Howards, nice to see you again," He said.

"You died" Miss Howard said in shock and fair.

"You say it like it was an accident, what was the last thing you said to me in the courtroom? may god have mercy on YOUR soul" He said and filled up the elevator with poison gas, making miss Howard suffer.

Back at the lab, Jay hears the report about a gas attack at Canterlot City mall.

Jay goes to his locker and grabs his suit but Caitlin says: "Jay don't, we don't know what we are facing yet, it's not safe".
"Caitlin I have to go," Jay says and runs out of the lab.

Jay runs through the city and tries to get to the mall as fast as he could. "I patched into the mall's security system. According to witnesses, the gas attack was in the main elevator in the north wing." Cisco said.

"Which one is the north wing?" Jay asked over the com.

"The one with The Big Belly Burger and Sugarcube Corner." Harrison Wells answered and saw Cisco and the other six girls looking at him.

"I eat," Harrison said.

Jay made it to the crime scene where everything looks like a standstill as she checks on the body. She was dead and Jay looked around before seeing a green smoke disappeared behind a door. He quickly ran after it and saw who the person was.

"Why did you kill that woman!?" Jay asked.

"She deserved to die. Now go run away. I still have one more name on my list. Don't make me add you to it." he said smiling.

Jay just frowned at him and rushed up to him trying to hit him but she faded through the smoke and fell to the ground. He stood up to see him smile and become smoke again. This time he went past Jay and had some of his smoke enter him to attack Jay's body. Jay fell to his knees and gasped. He wasted no time in getting up and running back to STAR Labs.

Jay, Jay can you hear me?" Harrison Wells said into the com.

"His vitals are weak, but she's alive, Doctor Wells, I'm sure he's fine," Cisco said.

Jay came back to the lab and tried to breathe but it was hard for him.

"I can't breathe." She told them wheezing.

"He needs oxygen. Get the crash cart!" Harrison Wells shouted and Cisco ran to get one. Rainbow and Applejack helped Cisco getting the crash cart.

Jay was placed on the bed still trying to breathe as doctor Caitlin Snow rushed in. "Jay!" She said looking at him.

"Cut me open. The poison's still in me." Jay told them.

"He brought us a sample. Caitlin, we need to do a pulmonary biopsy, extract an active portion of that gas." Harrison Wells said.

"I can't give you an anesthetic. Your metabolism will burn right through it." Caitlin said.

"I heal quick, remember?" Jay said.

"Do it." Harrison Wells said.

"Cisco, give me the syringe," Caitlin told Cisco and handed her the syringe. "This is gonna hurt a lot. It's a small needle. You probably won't even feel it," Pinkie told Jay.

You're definitely going to feel it." Applejack said.

The needle went in and Jay gasp for air and passed out. The six girls looked away as they couldn't grasp by seeing their friend having a needle inside his chest. Fluttershy hid behind Rainbow Dash for cover. A few hours later Jay waked to see Caitlin with the six girls next to her and smile instead of Caitlin

"The Red Streak lives," Pinkie said.

"You'll be dead if your lung cells didn't regenerate so quickly," Caitlin said.

"My chest feels like that one time I had a cigarette at homecoming," Jay said, the girls looked at Jay confused but a little shocked "yeah, younger me lived for danger."

"This isn't funny. You could've..." Caitlin said before she was cut off. "I didn't," Jay said.

"Now that we have a sample, we'll get to work analyzing it, figure out the makeup of the poison, maybe get a clue as to his human identity," Wells said.

"Or at least a way to stop him from turning into a mist. The Mist. Okay, that's his name. End of discussion." Cisco said and Pinkie Pie loved the nickname,
"Maybe the next meta-human we face could I help come up with a name?" Pinkie asked. "Sure well Pinkie," Cisco said.

Rainbow gave a little punch on Jay's arm "you scared there for a moment" Rainbow said. "Yeah, luckily you didn't get to witness your superhero friend die so easily," Jay said.

"I got to get back at the station," Jay said getting up.

"You should be resting," Harrison Wells said.

"I have to talk to Joe," Jay said

Back at the CCPD station, Jay walks into the lab and sees Joe working on some files.

"Joe I had him. The meta-human. We were wrong. He's not controlling airborne toxins. He can literally transform himself into poison gas." Jay told him.

That's new, the victim was a court judge, we're going through one of the old cases see that there is any connection" Joe said

"It's too late. I should have been faster." Jay said feeling guilty about not saving her.

"Focus on the job, don't think about that now," Joe said.

"You don't even wanna know what I am thinking about," Jay said "My dad has spent 5 years in a 6x8-foot cell for a crime he didn't commit. I couldn't save my mom, but I can save him".

"Didn't I promise you that we would get your dad out of prison together?" Joe said.

"I don't need your help, Joe. I could be in and out of there with him before anyone even sees me." Jay said.

"Okay. You break him out of there. Then what? he's on the run for the rest of his life. And something tells me he's not as fast as you are" Joe said.

"You don't know what it's like there," Jay said. "You think I don't understand what you're feeling? I have been a detective for almost as long as you've been alive. So you should know, putting on that suit does not make everybody safe. For every person you save, there's gonna be somebody you can't. And the hardest thing you're gonna have to face is not some monster out there with powers. It's gonna be that feeling of uselessness when you can't do anything. Or the guilt that weighs on you when you make a mistake, Some things, Rainbow, you can't fight. Some things you just have to live with" Joe told Jay as words of wisdom.

ack at STAR Labs, Jay Allen was wanted for the test analysis to finish. He turned to Caitlin and spoke.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you, leaving like that." Jay said.

"It's okay. I get it. You had to go. It's just... that's the last thing that Ronny said to me that night." Caitlin said.

"My mother died 5 years ago. I used to think that the further away I got from it, the less it would hurt. But some days, the pain, it's worse than the day that it happened. Some things you can't fight. For so long, I've been terrified of going into that hole." Jay explained.

"What if I went with you?" Caitlin asked.

Cisco's watch had been showing that two minutes had passed and there was no sign of Ronny returning. Keeping his promise, Soarin shut the door to the Pipeline. Just before Spitfire ran in.

"Where's Ronny? Cisco, where is he?" She asked worriedly.

"He's still inside," Cisco told her.

"What? Open the door." Caitlin told Cisco.

"I can't. We're in lockdown mode." Cisco said back to Caitlin.

"Cisco, we have to get him out of there or he'll die," Caitlin said fearing the worse that will happen to Ronny

"Cisco, can you hear me?" Ronny Raymond's voice said through the walkie-talkie.

Caitlin grabs the talkie and answered it.

"Ronny, it's me." She said.

Ronny was on the other side of the door and was shocked to hear Caitlin's voice.

"Caitlin? Is Cisco there?" He asked.

"Yeah, Ronny, I'm here. I'm listening." Cisco said.

"I adjusted the magnets to redirect the beam to try and vent the system so the blast goes up and not out," Ronny told him.

"I'll need to reset the particle parameters to compensate," Cisco said and got to work.

"Cisco doing it. There has to be another way out of there. You have to find it." Caitlin told him.

"Fire, the chain reaction, I can't reverse it. The doors need to stay shut to protect you. You still there?" Ronny said then asked after not hearing her voice for a few seconds.

"I'm here," Caitlin said almost ready to cry.

"Spitfire, whatever happens..." Ronny started to say before he saw the energy coming at him.

"Ronny, Ronny!" Caitlin calls out as an explosion was heard.

"He saved so many lives that day, and no one will ever know what he did," Caitlin said finishing the story and stood in front of the door of the particle accelerator.

"I do," Jay said.

"He was a hero," Jay said.

"I didn't want him to be a hero. I wanted him to be my husband." Caitlin told Jay, Jay understood and both of them hugged

"Jay, Caitlin, you down there? You got to come look at this." Cisco's voice said over the speaker.

Jay and Caitlin walked up to the main cortex where Cisco and Harrison Wells and the other girls were waiting for them.

"Hey, check this out. It's a 3D molecular model of the gas we retrieved from your lungs. We have identified the toxin," Cisco said and show the results.

"Hydrogen cyanide?" Jay asked realizing what it was.

"What's interesting is what's mixed in with the cyanide... A sedative." Harrison Wells said.

"Of course. The night of the explosion, find out if anyone was executed," Jay said.

"Why?" Wells asked.

"That sedative is given to criminals on death row before they go to the gas chamber and breathe in hydrogen cyanide," Jay said.

"That's right," Wells said, seeing what Jay was getting at.

"There was someone being executed, Kyle Nimbus he was a hit man for the Darwinian crime family, they turned on him and testified, judge Teresa Howards was a judge at his trial, he was sentenced to death," Caitlin said.

"He must have gotten executed when the particle accelerator exploded while being gassed," Lightning Dust said.

"Records indicated that the execution was completed," Cisco said.

"That's why there was no match, the DNA database only have records of the living" Jay said

"He said there was one more person on his list, check his arrest records find out who caught him," Jay said.

Caitlin was shocked to find out who the next target was "Jay, the lead detective" Caitlin said knowing it was Joe he was after.

At iron heights prison, Joe walked up to the desk and said, "here to see Henry Allen".
"Sign here. Personal effects here." The guard said. Kyle Nimbus was at the opening gate and walked through it turning into a green mist and back to human.

Jay called Edward back at the CCPD station. "Edward," Jay said, "Jay what's up?" he said.

"Hey, do you know where Joe went? he's not picking up her cell," Jay asked him.

"Uh, not sure," Edward told Jay over the phone.

"Edward, it's really important I speak to him, I need to know where he went," Jay said

"She went to iron heights Jail, to see your dad," Edward said.

Jay hanged up the phone.

"Jay, I reverse-engineered an antidote to the toxin, I hope you won't need it." She said and handed over the antidote.

Jay went to his suit and was already suited up before he went to see Joe Fluttershy begun to ask Jay "Jay, do you sometimes get tired of being a forensic scientist or working for the police?" Fluttershy asked.

"No why do you ask," Jay said.

"It's because all the things that you know and all the crime scene you're going to, don't it get kinda disturbing?" Applejack asked.

"Guys I joined the force so I could help people, also finding out who killed my mother so I could get my father free, you guys don't understand what's it's like losing someone you love," Jay said and ran out of the lab and left a trail of lightning behind him.

Joe sat in the chair and saw Henry be brought in, he looked at Joe and sat down. They both took the phones and Henry spoke first. "What are you doing here? Is Jay all right?" Henry asked.

"He's fine," Joe told Henry.

"Then to what do I owe this visit?" Henry asked not happy.

"I know I should have come to see you sooner," Joe said sadly.

"You just weren't up for a little chitchat with the man who murdered his wife in front of his own son?" Henry asked.

"Except now I know you didn't kill Nora," Joe said, surprising Henry.

Jay was running at top speed to Iron Heights to stop Nimbus before he kills Joe.

"Jay, I pulled up the specs on iron heights prison It's maximum security, but I think I can talk you through breaking in there," Cisco said over the comlink.

Don't bother. I've been figuring out how to break into that place since I was 11," Jay said over the comlink shocking everyone at the lab.

Joe sighed before saying more.

"Some new evidence has come to light. I can't go into detail. It's just... Look, the important thing is, I'm trying to reopen the case. I'm gonna find out who really killed Nora, and I promise you, Henry, I'm going to get you out of here. I am so sorry." Joe said almost ready to cry.

"It doesn't matter that you didn't believe in me... Because you always believed in my son," Henry told Joe.
Joe smiled before the herd the guards start choking and dropping to the floor. Joe watched as a green mist took the shape of Kyle Nimbus.

"Nimbus, you're supposed to be dead," Joe said.

"So do you," Nimbus said turning into a mist and floating through his nose and poisoning him.

Joe fell to the ground unable to breathe. Henry gasped as his friend fell to the ground and banged on the window.
"Joe? Joe! Help! Guards! Somebody help!" he called out.

Jay came into the room and saw Joe on the floor struggling, Jay quickly gives him the antidote. Henry was shocked by what he saw, Jay looked up at his father. Jay vibrated his face so Henry couldn't be able to know that it is his own son. Jay looked down at Joe, Joe looks back at Jay and tells him "go get him". Jay listened and ran out of the prison.

At the street, Nimbus was walking down the road slowly until Jay appeared in front of him. "So you're gonna finish what the gas chamber couldn't," Nimbus said.

"You're going somewhere where you will never hurt anyone ever again," Jay told Nimbus.

"Wrong," he said and turned into a green mist

"He used the antidote on Joe," Caitlin said seeing Jay didn't have it "you need to stay away from him, Jay, do not breathe him in".

Jay tried to get far away from the gas and dodged every gas attack.

"I'm not sure how that helps me, guys," Jay said. Jay runs straight through Nimbus.

"You can't fight him, Jay. Just keep him coming at you. That should sap his strength" Caitlin

"Gas is the least stable form of matter, this meta-human will not be able to stay in his fog form for long., his particles will need to reform." Harrison Wells explained.

Jay looked at The Mist and then did was he does best, run. The Mist followed him try to cover in his poison fog, but Jay was too fast for him. Jay ran and ran until he noticed that The Mist started to form back into his human state trying to breathe. The Mist was shocked, he never went back to normal when he was in the fog. He didn't have time to move when Jay slam into him knocking him out.

"Jay, Jay do you hear me," Wells said through the comlink

"We won," Jay said.

At the hospital, Jay sits in a chair sleeping while Joe recovers from the gas attack. He watched as Jay's arm slid off the chair's arm that woke him up.

"It's been a long time since I've seen you sleep," Joe said.

"Rescuing you is exhausting," Jay said.

"I really miss the ability to be able to ground you," Joe said knowing it will not work because he has moved out of the house and lives alone in an apartment.

"Sorry I went and grew up. I could have got my dad out of Iron Heights tonight." Jay said.

"I know," Joe said.

"But you were right. That's not the way," Jay said seeing it won't help.

Nimbus roar as he tries to get past his new prison, but his gas could not get through.

"Will it hold him?" Rainbow asked Cisco.

"The barrier is powered by an 8.3 Tesla superconducting electromagnet, which is about 100,000 times the strength of earth's magnetic field," Cisco said

"Meaning that the green fart won't be able to get out," Jay said and walked away to the hallway.

Rainbow laughed "ha, green fart that's a good one," both Cisco, Pinkie, and Rainbow said.

Applejack followed Jay and asked "Jay can I talk with you for a sec?". "What is it AJ," Jay asked. "Well, you know earlier when he said that we don't know what it's like to lose someone you love?" Applejack said.

"Yes, what about it," Jay said, "well I should know how it all feels because when I was younger my parents died," Applejack told Jay. "What happened?" Jay asked.

"I really don't want to talk about it but I want you to know that you are not the only one who has lost someone you love, it's hard to find anyone that understands but, remember that you're not the only one," Applejack said.

Jay smiled at her and said "thank you AJ", Applejack approached Jay and gave him a hug.

Jay had returned to Iron Heights again to see his daddy.

"Joe's gonna be okay," Jay told him

"You know, lately I've been thinking about mom, a lot, I miss her," Jay added.

"Did I ever tell you about the time you learned to walk?" Henry asked his son.

"A couple times," Jay answered.

"Everone was walking before you, all the little babies running around the neighborhood but not you. But your mom wasn't worried, she just said, "he'll walk when she has someplace to go" and sure enough, when you took your first steps, you moved so quick, you didn't just walk, you started..." said.Henry

"To run." Jay cut him off with a smile.

"And you ran to your mom, Jay, right into her arms, you had someplace to go," Henry said and smiled back. Jay dried the tears from his eyes.

I thought being the fastest man alive would make my life easier... that I could outrun anything. Turns out, no one can outrun pain.

A woman was getting mugged when she shouted for help. A red blur speeds past them making the women hold the knife and the thug to run away.

Life is tragic. But it's also precious... And sweet... And extraordinary. And the only way I know to honor my mother's life is to keep running.

Harrison Wells sat in his wheelchair drinking whiskey and looked at the suit and smiled for a little second.

Back when the particle accelerator explosion. Harrison Wells watched as the energy went up to the sky and mix with the thunderstorm that hit them. He soon heard Cisco's voice speak to her over the com.

"Doctor Wells. Doctor Wells!, Ronny did it. He vented the system, STAR Labs should hold." He said.

"Goodman. I'm on my way down." Harrison Wells said and started to leave. He didn't head down to the pipeline, but instead, he went to her secret room. Harrison Wells looked at the footage of Jay's lab, Wells sees Jay get hit by the lightning bolt that slams him into the wall with the chemicals.

"See you soon Jay" Wells said to himself.

This is the longest chapter ever written so I hope you like it. And there are some few chapters left until Jay gets his name The Flash.
Also, I had an idea to focus more on the main 6 a Jay Allen but I think I need to find out how the main 6 will fit into the story and not make them useless.
