It was a dark, but pleasant night in Fluttershy's cottage. Fluttershy was just gonna prepare one of her best dinners for her animal friends before she went to bed for the night, and everyone got what they needed. But not everyone got exactly what they wanted. As usual, Fluttershy's right hoof rabbit, Angel, refused to eat his carrot in exchange for his favorite salad. Usually, the pegasus would just give into her pet's demands and just go shopping for the ingredients for the salad, but after plenty of lessons on being assertive, Fluttershy convinced Angel to eat the darn carrot, much to his annoyance.
Once Fluttershy went upstairs into bed, Angel finally had some time to himself, and his reflections made him crankier than usual. Not only did he not get his favorite salad, but his owner's too assertive. It's times like this that Angel realized that he didn't want to be a pet to her anymore. Angel thought to himself and realized one thing. Why can't Angel live without Fluttershy? Angel knows that it's her cutie mark that's giving her the abilities to befriend the animals, but that doesn't give her authority over any of them.
And it was at this moment Angel knew what he had to do. Angel got up, wrote a letter to Fluttershy (despite his terrible handwriting), packed his things, and left the cottage. The night was long, and dark. Angel wandered round the outside world and he saw the beauty in the nature Fluttershy adores. As Angel stared into the night sky, he never realized how...boring it was.
Angel kept asking himself where the danger was, as he realized running away from home would not be as exiting as he thought. He decided to call it a night as he found a nearby hole and slept in it. That was probably either the most exiting choice he could have made, or the dumbest thing he's ever gonna do.
When he woke up, he found himself in a cool metal cage with a whole bunch of other...animals? Angel looked around to see where he was. He peered into the cage next to him, and squeaked a question to what appeared to be a green puffin of some sorts next to him. The puffin turned around to reveal it wasn't a puffin at all. It's alien, yet adorable look, had Angel falling backwards from shock. The creature screeched a response to Angel, revealing itself as a Porg. Angel was surprised by the sheer fact he could understand his new Porg friend.
Apparently, Angel and a whole bunch of critters were taken by a smuggler and are being transported to a hutt to become pets, or worse, food. After realizing he might be a pet again, Angel exploded in a fit of rage and squeaked and hopped around in his cage like nobody's business. Suddenly, the door opened, revealing the smuggler that captured the critters. He looked like an anthropomorphic version of Angel's self, except with green fur, a red and white space suit, and a golden blaster gun inside a holster.
"OK, what's going on in here?" The smuggler asked the critters. Angel was just about to ask the same thing to whoever that was.
The critters chirped and chittered in fear as the green furred smuggler walked in to inspect his cargo. As the critters just whimpered in fear, Angel just stood there, staring at the smuggler as if Discord literally made a new friend.
"Well, little guy, I see you've made yourself comfortable." The smuggler said, as he poked his finger in. Without hesitation, Angel bit the smuggler's finger. The smuggler pulled his hand out and danced in slight pain, clutching his hand. Angel's deed caused the critters to snicker to see their captor embarrassed so easily. Suddenly, a blue light beeped on the smuggler's belt.
"Jaxxon? Jax, are you there?" The light spoke, as the smuggler pulled the device out from his belt and from the device came a small humanoid made out of blue light
"Jaxxon, you're gonna be 15 minutes late. Have you got the animals?" the small humanoid asked, as Jaxxon flexed his fingers after the bite, and finally putting it down.
"Oh, I got all of them alright." Jax replied.
"Good. I wanted to let you know because soon there's gonna be a couple of Imperial Cruisers orbiting Tatooine. I'd hate for you to get there after the Empire arrives."
"You worry too much. I'll be in and out before they even show up."
As Jaxxon and the small light-humanoid had their conversation, Angel decided to pick the lock of his cage with his teeth, and successfully broke out without making any noise. Carefully, and quietly, like the little bunny he truly is, Angel snuck up to Jaxxon and stole his bronze blaster, which was heavy to Angel considering his small size. Trying his best to control the blaster pistol, Angel aimed the gun at one of the locks and fired a blast, breaking all the silence in the room. Maybe Angel should have considered that using a blaster was not the best idea he could come up with.
"Wha--Hey!" Jax yelled as he ended his communication with the little man and reached out to grab Angel and put him back into his place. Angel slowly backed away, preventing the similar looking smuggler from laying a hand on him. Then, from behind Angel, a giant crystalline fox-wolf hybrid leaped out and knocked Jaxxon to the ground.
Angel decided to use this to his advantage and headed into the room where Jaxxon came from. There, Angel saw millions and millions of shiny red, blue, and green buttons, as well as a huge window and a chair and steering wheel that Angel was too small to use. Angel didn't care though, as he hopped onto the chair, and onto the desk that laid in front of the chair. Angel couldn't believe his eyes. He's in Outer Space.
"I've just had about enough of your crud, Bunny!" Jaxxon yelled, now covered in bites from the creature that attacked him, his red suit now covered in rips. Angel was so distracted by his new environment that he forgot to finish outsmarting his captor.
