Cold.

It's the first feeling I remember. I couldn't move. I knew things though, like that I'm a dragon, and that I'm female, and things that I know I’ve never done. Things I don't have names for. I didn't know what I sounded like, what I looked like, not even the love of a family. Or even if I had one. The darkness was my teacher and my only friend. Eventually I started to imagine what life might be like outside the darkness. But I got my wish, I got out of that hell only to find myself in another, and a far worse kind of hell.
