"I bet he's going to get stoned" "Of course....if he isn't stoned already! "My father said he's scum" "People like that are better off dead." "Lord knows what going on in his evil mind." Birdboy slowly regained consciousness as he felt the sun shining on his face. He gasps for air as it was like the breath he took was the first one in a long time. He slowly got up as looked at his surroundings. Birds were chirping, bees were buzzing, He didn't know why, but he was surprised at how green this area was, there was a forest stretch out for miles, and the smell of flowers could be smelled more miles. He doesn't know why all of this was strange to him but he felt like he was in a hell hole before. Something was very off about all of this but part of him was happy. The fresh air greeted him and he loved it. Then another smell greeted him, it was the smell of apples, it was sweet and smelled good. He followed the smell and ten minutes later it led him to an apple tree field. He noticed a long wooden fence was blocking between him and the apple trees. He stared at how long the fence went for. It went for miles and even though there was a sign that said: "No Trespassing" he went over the fence anyway. He never liked causing trouble but he needed to know where he was anyway. He followed the smell and he noticed a red barn up ahead as he continued to walk there. When he got closer he saw where the smell was coming from. On the open window, it was an apple pie. As he looked at it his stomach growled with hunger but suddenly he heard voices coming as he ducked down behind the wagon with apples. "But why can't we come with you Applejack?" Asked Applebloom as she followed her older sister. "You know why sugar cube. This school means a lot ta Twilight. It means we get to unit many other races from many other countries together. There are so many countries out there that don't know about friendship, and as the element of friendship, it's our job to teach ponies what it is." Applejack exclaimed. "Applejack, are you saying me and the Crusaders will get in the way?" Applebloom asked with a suspicious glare as looked at her sister's facial expression and body language. Her sister stammered as she started to explain. "I-Its not like that Applebloom, I know you wanna be there but we can't afford any distractions. The E.E.A is keeping a close eye on us and we can't have them take away Twilight's chance. Besides, I need you here. Keep a close eye on the farm while I'm gone." Applebloom sigh as she nodded to her sister. Applejack gave her a kiss on the head and walked away heading towards the new school. Applebloom headed inside the barn and while she wasn't looking Birdboy immediately grabbed the pie and ran with it. He hid behind a large tree and grabbed chunks of the pie with his hands and started shoving it in his mouth as he started eating like there was no tomorrow. He felt like it has been a long time since he had a good meal, like the only thing he ate before was garbage from the trash. He didn't care if he was making a mess, he was just so hungry, he didn't care if what he did was wrong. He doesn't even remember if he ever has done anything right in his life. He saw a bunch of birds land right next to him as they were chirping at him. "Look at him guys, a bird mutant with arms and legs." One of them said. For some strange reason, he could understand them. He could understand bird language. He never knew he could, or maybe he did, and just couldn't remember. "Whats up with his eyes. Is he blind or something." "He looks creepy. C'mon guys, let's get out of here before this creep decides to eat us or something." "I agree, let's go. Fluttershy is probably feeding the other birds by now. We better get there before they eat all the grub." and they flew away. Suddenly Birdboy heard an old elderly voice coming from the barn. "BIG MAC !! DID YOU TAKE THE MY PIE AGAIN!!" "....Nope" "Dontcha lie to me!" She shouted as she didn't sound happy. Not wanting to stick around when they try to look for the thieve, Birdboy immediately ran far away from the barn as possible as he did not want trouble to find him. Minutes later Birdboy saw a village up ahead. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea to go over there. He was never really good with people. The only person who accepted him was.......He can't remember. He knew there was someone who liked him. He also knew somehow that everybody hated him for some reason. He can't remember. All he could remember was that he used to live on an island. The island he uses to live in had no green, everything was dead for some reason, that all he could remember. The only thing he could remember was his own name. Birdboy held his head as he felt a throbbing headache. Later on, he was hiding in an alleyway while watching all these colorful ponies walking around minding their own business. They looked like something you see in a children's book, and the village itself looks very old fashioned like something from the dark ages and the only thing that stood out the most in this village was the huge shining castle that looks like a crystal tree. There were a lot of other strange buildings, like the bakery that looks like a gingerbread house or that one building that looks like a circus tent. He was still very timid to show himself to the public not knowing what their reactions to him would be. Birdboy decided to take his chances, what could go wrong right? Birdboy walked casually towards a flower shop and smell the flowers. He can't recall last he smelled a flower, he can't even remember last time he even saw one on the island. He smelled each an every one of them. He wasn't a fan of flowers but he did enjoy their smell. "Well hello there." Birdboy heard a voice speak to him from behind. "I see you enjoy the flowers. If there any specific type of flower you would like to smell, please don't be shy to ask us." Birdboy didn't face the pony behind him, which, he is afraid if she fears him cause of how he looks. "Hey, I don't recall seeing your kind here. Where you from?" She asked with a polite t voice. Birdboy can't speak, he could never bring himself to utter a word from his mouth. But he has to say something or else she'll get suspicious of him so he did the one thing he could think of. He pointed at a specific flower on the other side of the cart signaling her about it. "Oh, well that's a Snapdragon, there quite beautiful aren't they. They are actually on sale now, I could sell you a bunch for a cheaper if you like?" Birdboy turned his head to the left away from her so that way she can't look at him but he failed to notice that there was another flower pony beside him tiding up the flowers. She looked him as her shoot wide open with fear and horror as she saw Birdboy's face. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!" The ponie's scream was so load that it alerted every pony in town of the commotion. "The Horror, the horror !!! This thing is a zombie!!!" Birdboy didn't show a lot of emotion but he was terrified. He knew these villagers were going to get aggressive. They all looked at him with fear, gawking at his lifeless eyes that were pitch black. They all looked at him with horror and disgust, the mothers were shoving their children behind them and he knew they were going to try to kill him but instead of that they simply ran away. They all locked their doors, closed their windows and then the whole town looked abandon. Birdboy was completely alone. He looked around to see if there was anybody still around but that was pointless but then suddenly he saw a pony with wings landed right in front of him. She was blue with rainbow hair and glared at him like she wanted to pick a fight with him. "Hey, you!" Birdboy looked behind himself then back at her as he pointed to himself. "Yeah, you. You think you can just walk in here and start causing problems?! I don't even have time for this. I have a class to teach!!" She said as she was very annoyed by this thing showing. "Who are you anyway? You don't look like a parrot pirate?" Birdboy still didn't speak. He just twiddled his fingers bit as he grew very nervous. "Not talking ay?" Rainbow Dash opened her wings got into a fighting stance. "Well, I have a way making troublemakers like you talk." Like a speeding bullet, she immediately got on top of him as she pinned Birdboy down to the ground. "TALK!! Who are you?, Why are you here?" Rainbow Dash demanded answers and she wasn't gonna stop until she gets them. Birdboy was struggling to get free. "It's no use, not only am I the fastest pony alive but I'm one of the strongest amongst my friends, so are you gonna start talking or do I have to get nasty?" Birdboy was afraid of her as this situation reminded him or something that happened long ago. He suddenly gasps as images began to flash before his eyes. The clouds were red a the pony that stood above him was now a bipedal animal with a school uniform. He was being nailed down by others like him. He was bleeding all over, his face was so bruised, he was spitting out blood from his beak as he was breathing heavy. "Whats the matter retard, afraid to talk?!" asked one of the dog boy as he continued to kick him in the ribs. He grunted in pain as the kicks were getting more and more painful. All the other students around the school were watching him being tortured. They were bipedal animals of many faces. Mice, cats, rabbits and many others. Many of them had mixed opinions of him and his dad. None of them bothered to help him. They all thought of him as some kind of outcast. "I herd Birdboy dad is trouble. That's what my parents tell me." "I heard that there is a rumor that his dad is selling drugs." "What? Really. no way." "I heard his dad is scum." "I heard him and his dad live alone in that lighthouse." "Yeah me too. My parents tell me not to go over to that lighthouse." Suddenly all the kids stopped chatting as they heard a young voice speak out."HEY, STOP IT!! Leave him alone!" One by one the bullies got off of him. Birdboy couldn't see who was it was who stopped the bullies as he was too injured to get up. "Why don't you mind your own business Dinki!" said one of the bullies. "This IS my business jackass!! I'm not going to stand by and watch you punks pick on him!" Dinki? Dinki? That name wrung in his head for a while. That name sounded very familiar to him. Was it someone who was close to him? "Boys, keep her busy. I'm gonna give Birdboy his own personal tattoo." Said the dog boy as he pulled out a stiletto knife from his pocket was attempting to cut Birdboy's face. Birdboy was consumed with fear as he could see his own reflection on that knife. He was struggling to get free of the bully's grasp but for some reason, he was stronger than Birdboy. "What are you doing?!! GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU BASTARD!! TEACHER, WHERE's the teacher ?!" Shouted Dinki, as Birdboy herd her struggling against the other bullies. He heard a punching sound as one of the bullies fell down beside Birdboy with a black eye. "What's wrong with you?! Can't you guys handle one girl?" Birdboy still couldn't see what was going on but he knew Dinki was trying to get away from the other bullies. "Now where were we?" said the bully as the blade was getting closer to Birboy's face. He could feel it digging through his skin as the bully began to cut Birdboy's face. Birdboy was so afraid as he could aching pain in his face. Birdboy reached out for a rock as he felt his fingers touch it. He soon grabbed on to it and smashed the bully face with it. Birdboy was finally free. He got up to his feet and saw the bully that was torturing him, but it wasn't the bully. It was the rainbow-haired pony. Birboy was confused, he soon realized he wasn't at that school no more. He was back in the pony village. Every pony gasp in horror as they couldn't believe what they just saw. Birdboy couldn't believe it himself either as he realized he just slugged that pony in the face with a rock. Fear turned to guilt as he stared at the pony bleeding on the ground. Rainbow Dash slowly got up her feet as she stared at Birdboy in agony. She was crying as the pain in her broken was jaw was unbearable. She began gaging out some of her teeth with some blood as she was bleeding a great deal of blood all over her lower face along with Her bleeding nose. There was a flash which caused Birdboy to blink a little. It was a small white, buck tooth pegasus colt with a camera that took a picture of him of what he has done to the rainbow-haired horse. "Mommy why did the bird thing hit Rainbow Dash?" asked the concern filly. The mother covered her child's eyes as it wasn't something a child should see. "T-that things a menace !!" commented one of the ponies. "He's gonna kill us all!!" shouted the other. "Some pony get a doctor!!" "Some pony find princess Twilight!!" What has Birdboy done? He never meant to hurt that pony. He hoped he didn't break that pony's jaw. Now there definitely going to get him. Birdboy couldn't stop shaking as he noticed the whole village was staring at him as they all saw what he has done. He knew he had to leave, he should have known that it was a bad idea coming here. Many of them fear him because of his appearance, many of them have probably never met anyone like him before and it doesn't help that he has bitch black eyes, and not only that after what he just did to the rainbow-haired pony, they will never trust him. "A-are y-yo crazy........you could've........k-kil m-mee!!" said RD as she was trying to speak but her jaw was fractured. Her whole mouth was completely covered in blood as her teeth were colored in it. "OOOOUCH !!!!!" "Rainbow Dash !!" Birdboy heard a new voice and it was a white unicorn with dark purple hair with diamond marks on her bottom. "Oh dear, what happened?!!" She examined Rainbow Dash as she was alarmed when saw RD blooded covered face, then looked at Birdboy. "Oh my, what is this creature? What in heaven's is wrong with his eyes??" She was just as disturbed when he looked at Birdboy compared when she saw Rainbow Dash. She also noticed that Birdboy was holding a rock. "Did you do this?!" There was no denying it. She knows that he did it. He still had the rock in his hand and it had a small splattered blood on it. "HOW DARE YOU, Y-YOU CREEPY UNCOUTH RUFFIAN!!!! You think you can just come here and start causing problems and hurt my friend? I DON'T THINK SO!!" Rainbow Dash tried to talk to her but shouldn't even mutter a word. She was in so much pain that it hurts to even mutter a word. She was still crying as the pain was unbearable to her. "Don't-don't speak Rainbow Dash, we need to take you to the hospital immediately!" she said as she tried to force her friend to follow her but she refuses to move as she glared at Birdboy. Her expression of pain turns to anger as she glared at Birdboy with killing intent. She was breathing heavily as it looked like her blood was boiling. She spat out some blood and got into a fighting stance. "Rainbow Dash, don't! We'll deal with him later. We need to take you to the hospital now!" Birdboy knew what was going to happen so he ran as fast as could and away from the inraged pony. Despite how injured Rainbow Dash is she chased after him with extreme speed. Birdboy ducked her attack as she slammed against a tree and she hit the side of her face. "Rainbow Dash stop !!" Birdboy continued to run towards the forest as it was the only place he was could think of to lose them in. Rainbow Dash recovered from that and continued to chase after him. Birdboy looked behind himself as he saw RD flying towards him with such speed. He was having another one of those flashbacks but it was him flying through the air. It was raining, he was on the island again but his flashback ended when lightning struck him. Birdboy was tackled by RD as attempted to stomp him with her hooves but she missed as Birdboy rolled out of the way and continued to run. That flashback or whatever it was told him that he could fly, but how can he. Birdboy has no memory of how to fly. While he was running he tried to flap his wings as he attempted to fly himself. He tried flapping harder and harder but no use. Either something was wrong with his wings or he was one of those flightless birds like a penguin. He saw a steep hill up ahead and attempted to try to fly by jumping off that steep hill. Birdboy charged straight for it as this could be his only shot to fly away from this bitch. He ran faster and faster and when he finally got to the edge of the hill he jumped into the air and flapped his wings. It felt like time stopped for him as he could feel the wind blowing through his hair and feathers. It was an old feeling that Birdboy has long forgotten, he felt at peace with the wind and sky. He even felt something else, love. "When you learn to fly Birdboy. Will you take me with you?" asked a familiar voice in his head. It was the same voice from one of his flashbacks. It was the voice of the girl who tried to defend him from those bullies that tried to torture him at that school. The voice belonged to Dinki, he thinks. But who is Dinki? Why can't he remember her? Who was she? Suddenly Birdboy was knocked out of the air by Rainbow Dash and slammed against the ground while rolling down the hill towards the Everfree forest. Rainbow Dash was about to continue to go after but was stopped by her friend who stopped her with her magic horn. "Rainbow Dash, stop it!! No more violence!!" she demanded. RD yield to her but none of her word made any sense. All she did was spitting her blood everywhere. "Ewww, Rainbow Dash stop talking. You're getting your blood all over my new dress." Despite how injured Birdboy was he began limping towards the forest and went inside. RD's friend convinced her to let him go for now and walked away towards the hospital. Even though Birdboy got away RD will never let it go so easily. Once she heals she will hunt him down, even if she has to search all over Equestria for him. He was a menace and needed to be brought to justice for what he did. It wasn't just RD that will never forget, neither will Ponyville. They all saw him as a villain. Birdboy continued to run as fast as he could despite his sprain ankle. When he realized they weren't chasing him anymore he then slowed down and walked. The forest he was in didn't look safe, looked wild and un-natural. He could hear the animals in the background making noises. Some of the noises didn't sound friendly, feels like he runs into danger at any moment. He needed to calm his nerves so he checked his pockets for anything that could help him and all he found was a match and a cigar. This was all found in this pockets. Forchinitly for him, it was good enough. He lids up that cigar and started inhaling it and blowing the smoke out. Society these days have always demonized smoking but he never cared what society thought. Hours later he continued to walk through the scary forest. He was far away from the village and it's unlikely they will fallow him here. Although it's best if he never goes back there again because next time, he might not be so lucky. He walked for what seemed like for miles. He already walked past the swamp than he saw an abandoned castle that was on the verge of decaying. Birdboy thought it was the perfect place to stay the night at as he notices the sun was going down. He needed to hurry, the jungle is always more dangerous at night so he made his way towards the abandoned castle and went inside. When he got inside he noticed it was too dark for him to see. Then the door closed behind him so he had to use his last match and lit a random torch hanging from the wall. Birdboy grabbed the torch and took it with him so he could explore the castle. He made his way through the hallways than up the stairs leading to the tower. The opened the door to a room and saw that was empty. There was nothing but an old bed and a fireplace. This was the perfect place to stay for now until he can figure out what he can do next. Later on, BirdBoy found some old furniture and broke them into pieces. He broke the throne and threw it into the fireplace. It was gonna be a cold night tonight so he needed to get a fire going. He took his torch and lit the fireplace up as it started heating the room up. It was a shame to break the throne but it wasn't like anyone was using it. Birdboy got into bed trying to make himself comfortable but it was a little hard without a blanket but it wasn't the first time he had to deal with sleeping in poor conditions so he made the best of it. What made it harder were the load animals outside. It sounded like monsters eating one another. He could even hear howling in the background. When things quiet down he manages to get some sleep. While he was sleeping the sky slowly turned red again as BirdBoy shadow expanded on the ground. The shadow than rose from the ground while morphing into a giant hand. The shadowy hand was waving up in the air at first then it suddenly snatched Birdboy. BirdBoy's eyes shot wide opened as he rose up from the bed and realized it was just a nightmare. Birdboy wasn't sure what he was dreaming of but it didn't look good. He felt a cold chill up his spine as he felt something dark and familiar returning to him. He wasn't sure what it is but then again it was just a dream. The fire was still burning in the fireplace but not as much as before. Soon he will need to feed it in order for him to keep warm. He went back to sleep as slowly closed his eyes until he heard a banging sounds below the castle. It wasn't sure what it was but it sounded like he wasn't alone in this place. He got up from the bed and lid his torch and walked downstairs as he was following the sound. It sounded like someone was at the door but when he got there he soon realized that it wasn't coming from the main door. The bagging was coming from down below under the castle. He went down the stairs into the basement and he noticed the banging sounds were getting louder and louder as he knew he was getting close to where it was coming from. Birdboy soon found himself in an empty dungeon. This place was creepy but he continued on following the sound. At the end of the hall, he noticed a door up ahead. When he walked towards it the bagging sound stop for some reason. Someone or something was on the other side of this door. Birdboy tried to open it but it was locked. When he tried to look around for a key but bagging sound he heard before suddenly starting getting louder. He was so startled by it that he dropped his torch as he saw the door being knocked open like something dangerous and aggressive wanted to come out. The door was being torn apart by shadowy monsters with red eyes. He could hear their demonic chirping sounds becoming loader. Birdboy ran trying to get far away from them as possible. The shadowy demons broke down the door and swarmed towards Birdboy like bees. Birdboy ran up the stairs and into the main hall. He tried to get to the door but the swarm of demon birds blocked the door. He then tried to run back but they blocked his way again. They were all over the castle circling around Birdboy and for seemed like hundreds and thousands of them. One by one each one started to attack Birdboy as they were eating at his flesh. Birdboy tried to get them off but more and more started to eat him. There were too many on him as he tripped and feel as he gawked at them digging through his flesh. Blood was splattering everywhere, he could see them eating his liver and eating the flesh around his rib cage. There was no screams of agony, no screams or fear. Birdboy was completely silent, All he did was gasp for air as he started to puke out blood. His breathing became heavy as they finally got to his lungs. Birdboy shot up from bed as he gasps for air. He felt his heart pounding like a drum as he clutched his chest tight. Birdboy knew something was wrong. He felt like something was eating him from the inside. Birdboy wasn't sure what it was but it felt familiar to him like he had this feeling before. Birdboy noticed the fire was close to going out so he got out of the bed to feed it more. He gave it more broken pieces of furniture and fire was rising up again. Birdboy was very concerned about what was happening to him, these dreams or flashbacks he's been having. Ever since he got here he's been having dark thoughts. Meanwhile, outside a group of timber wolves notice that there was light in one of the rooms of the tower and they knew where there was light, there was a defenseless pony. The wooden wolves growled and howled as they made their way towards the castle. Its always been in their nature to feast on the defenseless. To be Continued.
