The Alicorn

Previous Chapter

The purple pony who had taken Ella and Lynae in arrived at her castle. Ella had fallen alseep, and the dragon was struggling to continue holding the half asleep Lynae.

"Spike, take our guests to the guest room," the purple pony said to the dragon.

Spike, as she called him, nodded and struggled to hold both of the guests but managed to stagger off. The winged and horned pony sat down in a seat placed near the wall and thought about what had happened.

She heard a loud blast that sounded like magic, went outside and found two ponies who seemed really confused. Maybe they did a teleportation spell together? No, that unicorn didn't seem powerful enough. All of the most powerful ponies in Equestria she had already met.

Maybe they were time travelers. It was a possibility, but unlikely. The pony sighed. "What am I supposed to do now? Let them stay in my castle if they don't have a home? I don't know if the unicorn is the pegasus's mom, but if she is..."

The pony groaned in irritation. Spike finally returned to find her faced the wall and banging her head on it.

"Whoa, Twilight! What are you doing?" Spike asked.

The pony called Twilight shrugged and curling up in a ball. "I don't know, Spike. I'm not sure what to do with our guests or why and how they ended up outside in the middle of the night."

Spike patted her back and spoke. "It's gonna be okay, Twilight. How about when they wake up we ask them what happened?"

Twilight nodded with a small smile. "You're right, Spike. That's a great place to start. Now to just...wait."

Ella groaned and stirred in her sleep. She flipped onto her back, but a jolt of pain surged through her back when she did, awakening her.

"Ow!"

Ella shot up to relive the pain, and to her luck, the pain instantly stopped. She yawned and went to crack her fingers, but found she wasn't able to.

Ella finally looked down at what was supposed to be her hands and two legged body, but was shocked at what she saw.

It was completely different. And so she screamed.

Her scream had awoken another figure in the place she was in. The figure called Twilight burst through the room, which only made Ella scream louder.

Her screaming had stopped when Twilight’s horn glowed and her mouth was clamped shut. A magical bubble formed around Ella as well, stopping her from attacking the alicorn.

“Why are you screaming?” Twilight asked.

She removed the spell that prevented Ella from talking and allowed her to speak. “Stay away, pony! I don’t know why I’m here, but make me human again you weird fairytale creature!”

Twilight looked offended. “Excuse me?”

Ella was curled up as much as she could figure out how to and was as far away from Twilight as possible with fear on her face. She didn’t say anything, though.

Twilight took a slight step forward and spokie again. “Where are you from?”

“E-earth,” the pony in question replied.

Twilight gave a confused stare. “Earth? That can’t be possible. Princess Celesta said she closed that portal thousands of years ago.”

“Who?”

Twilight sighed. “Are you and the pony with you both from Earth?”

Ella nodded. “She’s my sister.”

“How did you get here?”

Ella had to think about that. “I’m not entirely sure. I made a wish on a wishing star to have wings, and then I got sent here. Wherever here is, exactly.”

“You’re in Equestria; a kingdom of ponies on a planet called Equus. You’ve been sent to an alternate dimension as far as I know.”

Ella’s eyes widened. “Will I be able to get home?”

Twilight shook her head. “I’m afraid the princess said there is no way back to Earth.”

Ella was quiet for a moment. Suddenly, tears began to fall from her eyes. “No...NO!!!”

If it wasn’t for the bubble around Ella, Twilight would have been toast. The former was lashing and punching the bubble so hard that she began to cry harder as her hooves turned from their light blue to red.

Eventually Ella had to stop because her hooves were aching so badly. Her tears had not stopped, and were beginning to fill the bubble.

“It’s going to be okay...uh...what did you say your name was again?”

Ella sniffed but replied. “I’m Ella. And before you ask, my sister’s name is Lynae.”

Twilight nodded. “It’s going to be okay, Ella. Guess what. I’ll try to find a way back home first thing after breakfast. How does that sound?”

Ella’s stomach growled before she could respond. “Uh...I think my brain thinks both sound great.”

Twilight laughed and released the spell on Ella. “C’mon, let’s go get something to eat.”

Ella nodded and went to follow Twilight out the door, only to fall on her muzzle. “Ow...”

Twilight sighed. “Right. You don’t know anything about how to walk like this.”

She levitated Ella off of the ground, to Ella’s surprise. “Whoa! Let go of me!”

Ella squirmed in Twilight’s grasp, which to the latter’s annoyance. When she failed to be let go of, Ella grunted and folded her hooves.

“I hate magic. It’s letting you do things that I can’t do.”

“True, but you can fly, Ella,” Twilight replied.

“What?” Ella turned her head to see wings on her back. Her mood instantly got better, and a smile formed on her face. “I have wings!”

“I guess that’s why you got sent here. You wished to be able to fly, and now you can!” Twilight exclaimed.

Ella smiled. “Yeah...I guess you’re right.”
