i reset this story because one of my friends on here was right. i made the character too op and it was just too much. So i hope you guys enjoy this version more, bye my little deathsongs

Prologue

Summer in the Crystal Empire was close, but it was not going so well. The Princess wanted to know if any children were missing. The orphanages always were filled with the ponies that wish they could have a family, but were unlucky to have one. The princess was about to leave till she heard the cry of a baby come from an alley. She walked down the alley and found a strange looking foal in a box.

The foal had blue scaly fur, and his eyes were the colors of the Crystal Heart. His giggle reminded the princes of someone she loved, and his orange mane was messy which the princess thought was cute. She picked up he baby to find it had a diamond tipped tail and the jewel glowed like a glow crystal. But after she turned him, she started to bolt for the castle with the baby in her magical grasp.

"Princess Luna, Princess Celestia, i have just found this child in the streets." The two alicorn sisters started to examine the child, not knowing what to do.

"Sadly, we are just as lost as you are with this darling." The princess of the night started to rock the child as it tried to get comfortable with it's wings. Finally relaxing, the child started to sleep. The night princess asked if she and her sister could take care of it. The Crystal Empire's Princess nodded but before they could say another word, the baby floated out of the tower. The princesses were scared as the baby was now somewhere in the streets again.

Meanwhile...

"Where is our kid Torchtail? I thought you were going to bring him here." Chrysalis was pacing as the dragon alicorn was examining the coach that he had ordered bring his son here. He growled at one of the biggest drone as it stood proud to have lost the kid. "Seems like your hiding something drone, tell me what you know."

The large changeling marched to the front and spoke in a irritated tone.

"I got rid of him...he is not a pure changeling, so he is not fit to be here" he nodded to the rest of his group but they didn't move. "You fools, i'm the one who should be getting the throne, not him. I'm a pure changeling!" Before he could turn around the alicorn stabbed the him. The drone fell to the ground and his blood spilled onto the hard, rocky floor.

"I want at least one, honest drone tell me where he is." A small changeling walked in-front of the group and spoke up.

"He is at the Crystal Empire your majesties." The small drone bowed and waited for the king and queen to yell at her. Instead, the king brought her with him to a special room. When he exited, the drone was no longer a drone. She was like the king, dragon like wings and tail, but she had a horn and face like a normal pony.

"This is my new daughter. Everyone, welcome Princess Turquoise." The other changelings bowed and walked away after being dismissed.

"So, i'm your daughter?" He nodded and explained why he changed her: he wanted her to teach his son what his new species of pony could do. She nodded and walked off down the tunnels, only to be stopped by the queen.

"Turquoise, if Torchtail changed you, he must have seen you as a great future leader. I want you to run the hive when you are ready too. And Breakup will be able to run his own kingdom the way he wants to. Thank you for telling the truth, it helps Torchtail get used to being around us better." Chrysalis looked behind her as Torchtail put his foreleg around Chrysalis' neck in a hugging way.

Back at the Empire...

The child was walking around a small tree, apples lied on the ground and the child was hungry. After a long while of walking, the child stopped and bit into a apple. The child grew into the size of a filly and gained enough knowledge that he was able to speak. While eating the apple he bit into, a small colt walked into the garden crying. The small hybrid child floated a apple to the colt, who walked over to the hybrid and smiled. The hybrid wiped the tear from the colt's eye with his tail.

"Hello, i'm Sombra what is your name?" The hybrid was hesitant at first but he started to speak none the less.

"The last thing i remember someone calling me was Breakup, Breakup Tear. I am happy to know your name Sombra."

The child heard a familiar voice and climbed up the tree. Sombra watched him hide as the princesses walked into the garden. Fear rose inside of Breakup as the tall figures walked towards the tree.

"It's no use sister, we lost the child. We will head to Canterlot and hope that he will live a long, happy life."

Eighteen Years Later...

Breakup and Sombra were at the tree, eating apples as usual. Breakup never got adopted, but he was as civilized as a fancy man. Sombra was reading a bit, and he had said he found something claiming to be his mother. Breakup was happy for him, but he said he still had to do something before he wanted to leave. Breakup smiled but a tear ran down his face. He had fallen for the colt since the day they met, but he knew he would never love him back. Sombra walked up to Breakup and wiped the tear away from Breakup's cheek.

"Are you alright? You have been upset lately." Breakup looked up at Sombra and he nearly turned away, except Sombra brought him into a hug.

"Sombra, i...like you, but i know you never liked me back." Sombra quickly separated from him. "Somb-" He was going to ask Sombra something, but was interrupted by a kiss. Breakup eased into it and smiled. When they separated, he felt like melting into a puddle, but he watched Sombra tear up.

"I'm sorry about all of that, i should have waited a bit longer" Breakup just smiled and walked to the now grown-up stallion.

"Sombra, its alright. I actually wanted to do that for a long time." Breakup dragged Sombra into another kiss then seperated. "I'll stay here till you come back, ok?" Sombra nodded and walked away to do as he wanted.

1,000 Years Later...

Breakup sat underneath the tree and sulked about his lost love. Looking up at the sky, his tears were the only things he didn't want to lose. They reminded him of his lost love. For him to be alone, was like being in torture. A single pink mare walked into the garden and found where he was.

"Hi there, i'm Pinkie Pie! Whats your name?" The pink mare waited for a response, then walked over to Breakup.

"I'm...I'm Breakup Tear...what do you want?"

"Well...we just defeated King Sombra and freed The Empire of it's tyrant king." Breakup finally let the tears fly and sob out his worries. His love was consumed by dark magic, took over the Empire, and now he would never see him again

"Well...now i know where he was all these years." The pink pony cocked her head at his statement, then walked closer to Breakup

"What do you mean?" Breakup raised his head and got up, he was now almost at the level the leaves began at the tree.

"Because i love him, with all my heart." he continued his sobbing, but what he didn't notice was that their tree was glowing, and changed into a complete crystal.

"You fell in love with that varmint. If what you say is true, then how old are you? And why do you have that cloak on?"

The orange mare looked at him with anger. Breakup sighed but removed the cloak, revealing his entire large body to be exposed to the world. His legs were long and instead of hooves, he had small claws. His wings were a fading teal color, but his tail ended with the large diamond. His horn had grown long, as did his orange mane. His eyes emitted a pink mist that smelled of taffy. His cutie mark was a heart with a crack down the middle, it also had two pony heads looking away from each other. A single teal tear was at the center of his cutie mark.

The ponies looked at him with amazement, then one of the princesses walked out of the shadows. The princess gazed upon the large stallion. She smiled and greeted him.

"Hello, i'm Princess Cadence, who are you?"

"I'm Breakup, Breakup Tear, your majesty." Breakup bowed while still shedding tears. His tree started to glow again, but this time something amazing happened. The tree started to write on a slab. Breakup read the note aloud for everyone to hear as the tree finished.

"I write this letter as a sign of hope, Sombra will return Breakup. You have to have faith. Your mother and father are worried about you. King Torchtail and Queen Chrysalis need you, they want to know if you are still alive. You are destined to save Equestria, i hope you find The Eggs Of Truth and The Elements Of Life. If not, you might turn to stone. Don't fail us Breakup.

"I'M DESTINED TO SAVE EQUESTRIA!?!?!?" Breakup's shout could be heard across the empire. After his shouting he fainted and the group of ponies took him to the main castle.
