The Frail Mare
It’s fucken hot. I'm low on supplies and have probably to much radiation poisoning. Yep I'm living the life, the Fucken life. I drink the last drops of water I had, which left me with the few bottles of Hard Apple Cider. Although Alcohol will just make my dehydration not only worse, but I'll most likely take more radiation. My luck got better for a moment when I found a shack, which had a bed, but no food or water. I lay down finally relaxed. There was no living thing for miles, so there's no problem with a little shut eye. Besides, I would hear them if there was any.
I wake up when it's dark out, the sound of ponies running was faint, but there and they were getting closer. Listening closely sounded like a mare was running from some stallions. Four, no five in total and it was clear they might enter the shed. I decided on my pistol, which I had been lucky to get flame rounds for it. I wait and a light blue pegasus mare runs in, she looks like she has supplies and a good amount as well. Her hooves were bleeding which stuck me as odd to begin with. She fell in front of me when four raiders enters after her. They were from the Dog Claw group, clearly not in their territory.
"Not another step, the mare included. I'm not in the mood to fight right now. So leave your supplies and leave." Apparently I wasn't clear for one of the four raiders pulls a shotgun out, only to get shot in the face. He fell to the floor as his head was on fire from the inside out.
"Dog Claw Raiders shouldn't be in Nightshade Raider Territory. I'm not gonna repeat my order." They all pull out guns, but I shot each in the head. Only one got a shot off, but it only grazed me. My gun was now pointed at the mare.
"Please, I can help you. After all those nasty raiders wanted my purity." She nervously smiles as she tried to sound calm, but failed. I look in her bags of supplies. There was no guns, just medical supplies, food and water. She was a walking invitation to get raped and enslaved. As luck would have it, my stomach told me it was very hungry.
"Can you cook?" She nods, I sigh and help bandage her hooves before she cooks for me. I drank a full bottle of water and used a Radaway to lower my radiation. Already I felt better, now all I needed was food. Which so happens to being cooked on the dead Raider flaming skulls.
"You have a name mister raider?" I look at her as she attempted to strike a conversation with me.
"Radar, my special ability is hearing. I knew you guys were coming from a few miles away. Also I'm not a Raider, just a pony that likes to be alone."
"I'm Dew Drop, if you don't mind, we can be alone together." She puts the food on two plates and hands me one. It looked like some weird kind of beans, but food is food so I have no reason to complain at a time like this.
"That's not how it fucken works, I don't need anyone else around me."
"But if I wasn't here, you'd have gone another day without food or any supplies for that matter." I ignore the comment as I eat the weird beans, as I do, my gaze goes to her hooves.
"How long have you been running to make them bleed like that?"
"Not long... truth be told, my body is fragile. I can't fire a gun without the possibility of losing a wing or dying."
"Your kidding, you left your home with no weapons and weak body condition. Your asking for a death wish by coming out here."
"I don't have a home anymore." I stop eating as she said that. Tears started to go down her eyes. I must have hit a sensitive issue without knowing. I sigh as I try to pat her back, even if it ended up being awkward taps.
"Fine, you can stay with me, but only till I get you to a new safe town. I don't like company." After saying that, she hugs me as she cries. I remain silent, waiting as she cried herself to sleep. I let her have the bed, for i decided to stay up the rest of the night. I don't know what I'm fucken doing, telling her she can come with me. Still she reminded me of somepony I used to know. I take a bottle of Hard Apple Cider and open it, the sweet Apple taste came first followed by the bitter alcohol taste I seem to enjoy entering my throat. Out of all her supplies, she had no alcohol of any kind. It was a let down but at least I still had some on me or this night would feel like shit to me. From the last town I was at, if the info was right, I'll reach the next town by night fall tomorrow. Assuming we leave by daybreak that is. I scavenge the raiders for any loose bottle caps, it wasn't a lot, but hopefully I can get some alcohol when I'm there. I take another drink of my Hard Cider then I start moving the bodies outside. I put them in a pile before I lit them on fire and went make inside. They will attract ghouls if I had left them alone. Thankfully Dew is bandaged enough not to attract their attention.
Morning finally came and Dew woke up to make a little breakfast for us, although it was only more of the same weird beans. Not that I have the right to complain about free food. Dew packs up the plates and cooking supplies she has as we head out. Once again, walking on another fucken hot day.

The town
At the very least, neither of us talked the whole day. Although if we did, I'd end up only listening. We arrive at Veiwfair town, although even if it looks abandoned, I could hear ponies moving around. Thing is, the sounds are coming from below the town. Sneaking inside with Dew is probably not a good idea, to many situations where she could get hurt.
"Something doesn't seem right, hide somewhere in town for now. I'll call out when it's clear."
"No, I'm not gonna..." I stare at her, her words caught in her throat from the serious glare. She simply nods and goes to hide in the nearest building. I then move to the tavern, if there's a way under town then the wine cellar is the best bet. Also I might be able to get free booze on the go, can't say no to that right?
Once inside the tavern, I scratch a few bottles of Hard Apple Cider and whatever bottle caps I could find. I left the rest of the booze to get later. Slowly opening the cellar door, I listen for anypony. Thankfully there wasn't any at the moment, so I don't pull out any gun yet. Keeping my ears pealed, I go down to the wine cellar. Beside no wine, sadly, was a door, looks Oak... maybe maple wood. Oh it doesn't matter, I open it to find what looks like an underground hidden prison. The cell bars are rusty and bent to the point where they can't be used. Some cells had skeletons of ponies who probable never escaped that war of ponies and Zebras so many years ago before this whole world became a radioactive hotspot.
Finally I get to a spot with ponies. Peering around the corner I see two raiders, the emblem was hard to make out in this fucken dim light, but looked like they were more Dog Claw Raiders. If there was more, they are planning something. I could hear more elsewhere, but using flame rounds in this place could have a really bad idea. So shotgun was best bet.
"I can't believe we are stuck here, the fucken mutts are hungry as well."
"Feed them one of the Colts, say we can't sell him since he died before we got back. The boss only cares about the fillies anyways." One of the raiders got up and went to a cell with ten little ponies, but I can't make out the genders of them. The one the raider grabbed was probably a colt, which was then tossed into a corner where three large dogs chained to stay. They bit into the colt and ripped him apart. Growling and snarling they ate their meal as the raiders laughed. I must be fucken up for not vomiting at the sick twisted display. If anything, I was fucken pissed off and I wanted answers. I quietly go up behind the stallions who were watching the dogs eat the dead colt and put the burst shot shotgun pointing at the head of one.
"Hey assholes!" As they turn around, I fire. The head was hit point blank with the burst shot, obliterating his head face first. The body fell with a thud and I smack the other one with my back leg hard. I needed one for questioning.
"Children, tie him up while I say hello to his friends." I free the fillies and colts who started to bound the unconscious raider. I find a few frag grenades on the dead Raider and smile. It was gonna get fun fast, cause it's fucken fun blowing shit up. I pull the pin with my teeth and send one of them down the hallway where raiders start appearing. They soon get hit by the grenade, exploding all over the walls like splash art graffiti. It was absolutely fucken awesome, but I wasted no time. There were five others here from the sound of ponies running and for sure I'm not gonna let them live.
A bullet grazed my cheek as a raider is shooting blindly around a corner. I used the other frag grenade and sent it as close to the raider as possible. The raider fell on it or rather it looked like he was pushed to take the impact for the others. That only left four targets left. The one doing the kissing and the other three were seemed to come down a long hallway to meet up with him. I jumped around the corner to receive a bullet in my right foreleg. I shot the shotgun, thankfully I was close enough for some damage to delay him long enough beat his face in with the shotgun. Without time to reload the next two shots, I pull out the sniper rifle I have and looked down the long ass hallway. The moment one came into view, I fired a bullet into his head. The next two wasted no time and ran straight at me. I took another shot and the bullet went into the eye of another. I couldn't kill the last one without taking a few bullet wounds. I limp back to the unconscious raider and bound him better, this time to a chair. I bound him so tight that he could even lose feeling in his limbs.
I then go back to Dew, She was helping the children with medical attention. Thankfully they weren't in that bad of condition. I mean, they don't have any bullet wounds due to recklessness of a pissed of stallion, but to be honest, I expected at least one hitting my chest or flank. Nope just my legs, a couple in my shoulder like area and a graze or two. Dew sees me limping her was and panicking to get me fixed up. She took some alcohol to clean the wounds, which stun like a son of a bitch, and bandaged the wounds. She had no experience in removing bullets, so she puffs her cheeks out in a angry pout.
"Don't do anything reckless again!" I was fighting the urge to laugh at her. Although it made me feel better. At night I remove the bullets from my shoulder, it was painful, but it would be bad to keep them there till we reach the next town. If we even get there that is. There was no more raiders here, except the bound one of course. So that means the Dog Claw raider boss is elsewhere. I'd understand if a small group went off territory, but in total there was twelve member if I include the four back at the shed. That means they aren't here just killing for fun, although I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case, but they are actually planning something. I'm gonna fine out what by asking my little tied up buddy for answers. Worse case scenario, he was only a grunt who doesn't know anything. I make my way down there to find him awake and trying to get free.
"Tell me what your group is planning and I will let you go."
"Fuck off, if the boss here, he would kill you and fuck everyone close to you. He likes the little fillies best, they squirm when raped and can sometimes get pregnant." He starts to laugh and I laugh with with him, "it's even better when they are far enough along the pregnancy that they accept the foal and role as it's mother do we break their spirits. Fucking their little cunts and killing the foal with the large ass cock."
"Is that right?" I instantly stop laughing a hit him in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him. Then moved the chair back towards the dogs. Tiping it back far enough for his ear to get not off, "I'm giving you a chance to go free, don't fuck it up. Tell me what he's planning."
"He wants to take every place in this territory. By taking down the nightshade raiders, he'll get a good reputation in the raider wars. A fun little competition where you can kill, fuck, and blow shit up. A town a day away will be next, Heatworm is the place. Boss took a detour, but what can one pony do to a raider army? Nothing that's what!" He laughs again like he's already won, knock the chair back towards the dogs and this time he became their meal. Biting his face and ripping open his stomach. Blood covered the ground along with the raiders organs and I just wanted, I must be crazy to go up against a whole raider group. Then again, I fed a pony to dogs so I'm already fucked up. I go back to bed, Dew and the children are still asleep. The night was quiet, it was calm and I smiled. I looked forward to killing every last Dog Claw Raider.

Ambush
"Mister Radar, are you and miss Dew a couple?" I look at a few fillies walking next to be. I didn't think we even looked like one. So the question struck me as odd. I look ahead at Dew, she's walking ahead of me, talking to the other fillies and colts. My eyes go down to her flank, her cutie mark was a maple leaf with Dew drops on it. It was actually relaxing to look at.
"Like what you see big boy?" Dew spoke sweetly which took me by surprise, "you were staring at my flank."
"Actually I was looking at your cutie mark. It's strangely relaxing to look at."
"I get that a lot, it's a rather silly special skill to have, but apparently just being around me can relax ponies are help then emotionally feel better." I hadn't realized, but she wasn't wrong, I feel more level headed around her.
"Its not silly, your a walking moral support. That alone helps me be level headed." She smiled gently, but there was still doubt in that expression. I look back at her relaxing cutie mark. I can't be in a relationship, I have to many sins to atone for first. We finally arrive at Heatworm, it was a quiet looking place, small too. The tavern was also the Inn and med station. Then they have an armory that was almost empty and a few houses. I had know idea how to stop a whole Raider group with no way to even barricade. Dew takes the children somewhere and I go for a drink. A rather large, fat brown stallion with a white apron.
"Something strong, I could care less about the cost." He tried to pour the bottle, but I snatched it and started taking a few large gulps. I then pay him for the whole bottle.
"I'm Rumor, you have a name partner?" He had a gritty tone in his voice that makes him seem like the friendly father figure of the town. I just tell him my name and took another drink.
"You gonna help with the Dog Claw Raiders?" I gag on the alcohol, not expecting him to know about it. Rumor laughs a deep, but jolly like laugh. Glad somepony taking amusement in the fact I was choking on my drink. "I guess it's a yes, but you looked like you couldn't figure out how. I always hear the latest news, no matter where it starts, it always reaches me. That's why my name is Rumor, well it's not like they can ambush us if we know they are coming."
"That's it, ambush the ambush." It makes sense, but we need to prepare. I take a bottle of whisky, open it and put a clothe inside. "Molotov cocktails, that's how we'll win."
"I don't follow, how does it make us win." I smile, it's a fact that when a body is on fire, it burns the skin to nothing within seconds. So even if they try anything, it won't help them win. They'll burn to death in seconds.

Everything was ready, Rumor and I made more then enough Molotov cocktails. I have my sniper rifle prepped for even quick reload as I lay on my stomach on the roof of one of the homes here. Rumor is on the roof of the, well the building I've dubbed TIM. Since its the tavern, inn and med station. It's simple and takes shorter amount of time to say. Dew is inside, keeping the ponies calm. The other buildings are rigged to go boom if they try to seek shelter. Even mine is rigged, but not with anything big enough to put me in any danger.
"Radar, you hear me?" Rumor insisted we use these children walky talkies, since they are on there own frequency. "They are coming, from all sides."
"I figured, so I left a surprise for them." Out in the distance, large explosions go off. The raiders stopped moving, but it was only for a few moment's till they ran in. I have made mines with the supplies in the armory, but I could only make a couple and they had already triggered them all. I aim, looking through the scope. It's not easy hitting a moving target, since you have to put in many factors. Like wind, distance and possible point of entry for starters. I take a deep breath and fire, two seconds later, I see blood explode off the raider's head. I can't miss any shots, so I took a drink of whisky and fired again. I watch another raider fell to the ground. I'm not killing enough, I take a deep breath. I can't second guess my shots. I fire twice as fast, missing shots, but killinging half as they reach the village. They throw granade up to my roof, I expected this might happen. I used my shot gone as a baseball bat and hit it back. Only one exploded, but they were now in range for a molotov to the face. I throw one in there direction. Missing them on impact, but some were caught in the area of effect and started to burn to death, within seconds they died.
I heard a molotov being use near Rumor, so there was some there as well. The trap at the armory blew up, exploding what ponies tried to get in. I glance out, over the edge of the flat roof I'm on. A bullet grazed my forehead, my warm blood ran over my right eye. I throw a molotov at them, at the same time another bullet enters the same wounded shoulder. It frighten hurt like hell, but I don't have the opportunity to remove the fucken bullet. They won't enter the building yet, not till I'm dead. I have four Molotov cocktails left, and I have no idea how many enemies right now, I'll get shot the moment I look. An explosion happened under me, that means they sacrificed somepony to get inside. I took a molotov and looked down the stairs that's required to climb to get up. The moment I see a raider, I threw the Molotov at him, lighting him and the stairs on fire. I run fast and put my sniper rifle back away, since the shotgun and pistol are already away, then grabs a molotov in my mouth and lights it. I jump off the two story roof and land on a raider to cushion the impact. I use the force of the fall to smash his head into the ground as hard as I can, then I threw the Molotov in the doorway. Setting the building on fire from both sides. Trapping the raiders inside to burn to death. I sit and lean against the another house, the fall sprained my back left leg and the damn raider shot me in the stomach as I was falling down. The fact I still hear gunfire and molotov cocktails being used means most of them are by Rumor. He seems to have it under control, at least it sounds like it. I pull out my sniper rifle and pointed it at the burning door.
"You can't kill the leader of the Dog Claw Raiders!" He jumps out to find a sniper in his face like I had already anticipated would happen.
"Oops." I smirk as I fire the sniper rifle, point blank into his face. I'd love to see a pony survive that shot. I open a whisky I had on me and drink. If I'm gonna die from a shot to the stomach, I rather die drinking some damn alcohol.

I don't know when I passed out, but I woke up in a nice bed. Actually I felt fucken fantastic, for a pony who got shot and sprained his leg I supposed. Dew was in a bed next to me, which confused me since she looked fine and I sorta figured I'm in an infirmary. Probably in TIM somewhere, which also means we won.
"She wouldn't leave your side, I didn't do much, but I remove the few bullets you had in you and patched you up. We need a real doctor to patch you up. So we send somepony to fetch somepony we used to know who's good at fixing ponies." Rumor had just walked in, he doesn't seem hurt, so that means they never got in TIM. That's at least a relief.
"So I'm gonna be in bed for a while, well I suppose I should be thankful. Though what bugs me is how my body feels good. I'd expect something to be hurting." He chuckled his deep, jolly laugh and patted my back.
"We used Radaway to rid your high levels of radiation. I expected you'd ask since you were pretty sick. You were out for a day and a half. The lass had a few skimpacks, which helped save your life." I look back at Dew, sleeping soundlessly. I suppose it wasn't so bad meeting her.
"Rumor, I need a drink. I don't care what it is, as long as it is hard."

New Home
Dew wouldn't stop hugging me and crying when she woke up. Took a moment to get her off me and she was being way over dramatic. Rumor, on the other hand, gave me the light shit since I'm recovering and all. Can't drink the heavy stuff he says, even though that to tastes better. Still for once, I felt like I had a home. The truth is that I have no real place to call home. So once I'm better, I plan to leave. I look at the door and sat up fast in surprise. A golden yellow mare had walked in, she looks at me angrily and tackled me off the bed. My back leg began to hurt as the mare was on top of me.
"Radar you idiot! Why did you almost get yourself killed again?!" Her name is Golden Heart, shes a traveling medic and she taught me how to use a sniper rifle. Plus she alone is terrifying enough for me.
"Radar, I have lunch!" Dew happily enters the room with a cart the town uses to bring food to each other. She sees Golden and slowly gets closer to us, only to witness she's on top of me.
"Radar, how could you!? Your cheating on me!?"
"Dew, we have to be a couple for that to happen, which we arent and I was only tackled by my mentor." Dew was confused and Golden got closer to Dew.
"He's right, but I'm more into cute lasses." Golden said in a soft, lewd tone as she stroked Dew's wing, which caused her to blush bright red and move away from Golden. Golden giggles finding Dew adorable but walks back to me and puts me back in the bed.
"Radar is more like a lil' brother to me. I came across him when he was still a lad. I helped with his gun practice. He wasn't into medical training sadly. I can train you, I'm very skilled." Golden smiles which made Dew take a step back. Golden was making her feel uncomfortable. It took a while of careful mending to patch me completely up, apparently I was more broken then I thought I was.
"Stay in bed for two more days and you'll be fine to travel again. Now who's your medic?" I point at Dew and Golden smiles, dragging the frail mare away to drill as much medical information and training as she can into her. My stomach growls and that was when I realized I can't get to the food on the cart.
"Well fuck..." I sigh and try to get sleep, if I get out of bed, Golden will injure me further.

Rumor came to feed me at dinner since Dew was stuck with Golden and her harsh training. I still remember the beatings from not hitting the target. Dew was probably getting harassed and molested since she's a mare. Rumor gives me a bowl of stew, it smelled good with the vegetables in the dark seasoned broth. I took a bite and didn't realize I was already stuffing my face. I was either more hungry then I thought or Rumor is a better cook then Dew. Then again all she feed me was those weird beans, is that all she can make?
"So Golden told me how she knew you, I didn't realize she raised you to be the fight you are now. You know she grew up here with me, I'll tell you I slimmed down a bit. Was a pretty chubby lad." He laughs, I seem used to his deep laugh now. Although he's fat right now, so I don't know if slimmed down is quite right. Now that I think about it, Heatworm did sound familiar to me when I interrogated that raider. I suppose Golden mentioned it once to me and I forgot this whole time.
"So you are like her fillyhood friend or something?" I pick up a carrot on the spoon and put it in my mouth.
"Actually the lass is my younger sister." I choke on the carrot, I was caught by surprise. Then again both of them call colts lads and fillies lasses. The do the same for stallions and mares as well. They look like that aren't related but they speak similar. I would never have figured out until Rumor said they were related. Which means...
"Please tell me your not into stallions." He laughs his deep laugh, which felt a little unsettling at the present moment.
"Na, I'm into lasses, not lads. Sorry to break it to you, but your not my time." I never knew I'd feel both relieved and offended at the exact same time. Leave it to Rumor to make that happen. I finished the stew without realizing it, it was clear Rumor was a better cook. He made my day when he got me alcohol. It was the light shit, but anything is fine right now. He opens it and gives it to me, which ended with me chugging it all within seconds and hopping I'd feel anything, but I felt the same. Not drunk in the slightest.
"When you have recovered completely, I'll give you something heavy, get ya drunk." I hoof bump him, it would be a good night to look forward too. Although I may get a fucken ugly hangover afterwards, but it'll be totally worth at. It's a problem for future me to deal with.

I wake up in the morning with Golden in the same bed as me. I've forgotten she used to get in the same bed as me when I was a colt. Even if she still sees me as a little brother, it still feels weird to me. She never will change, her death grip hugs kept putting me to near death now that I think about it. Although she never ment any ill intent, I never realized how much she became like a real sibling to me and it took me getting stupidly injured to fucken realize it.
"Deep in thought?" Golden had woken up and was poking my cheek. I take it back, I don't want a sister this annoying.
"I'm surprised you wouldn't take advantage of this sweet innocent mare."
"I only agree with the mare part, your so lewd that innocent will never apply to you and if I tried anything, you'd pop my head off with one of your death grip hugs." I apparently pissed her off and she started to death hug me neck, making it hard for me to breathe.
"That's not how you take to a lass!" Luckily Dew enters and tried to get Golden off me. Unfortunately for her, Dew was then caught by Golden. Only to get harassed and molested by her. Which means Golden is drunk, since she only does this to mares when she's drunk. Dew squealed in surprise when Golden licked her marehood.
"Somepony help me!" I stayed still, I've already learned once to not get in Golden's way. It was ten whole minutes before she passed out. Dew now on the other side of my bed, red in the face and traumatized. My best guess was that Golden drank all night and in a drunken state, got in bed with me. It's really no surprise, she's done it many times before and I am always usually safe. It's the mares who get molested by her.
"Why didn't you save me radar?" Dew was shaking, mad and embarrassed I witnessed the whole thing.
"Cause I've tried it before it ended badly for me, I will never get in her way again. Not unless I want more broken bones." I look at the sleeping Golden Heart on the ground. At least she'll wake up sobber, but with one nasty hang over. Rumor came in with some toast and homemade jam for breakfast. He pauses when he sees Golden, gave me the toast and jam, then put her in a bed like he's done this before. I took a bite and smiled, it was defiantly better then Dew's cooking.
"What do you mean it's better then my cooking?" I had not realize I spoke what I was thinking. Dew was attempting to look angry at me, but her embarrassed blush she got from Golden molesting her made Dew look more pouty in a cute way. I have to say something to not hurt her feelings.
"I mean, those... baked beans where good, but it's all you seem to make."
"Those where green beans..." Those were fucken green beans, they were definitely not green anything for that matter. Not just that, but it looked like I made it worse. I look at Rumor as a plea for help, but looks at me like he was saying that I already dug my grave.
"Jerk!" Dew ran off upset and I sigh. I'm a real stud with the ladies, I make them cry and try to kill me. I'd go find Dew but I can't get out of bed until tomorrow. That and I came across another dilemma, how do I use the bathroom if I'm not to move from bed?
"We had you use a bucket." I stare at Rumor who had just read my mind. This was defiantly not gonna be fun to do.

Finally the two days of recovery was over. I stretch my back since it felt stiff being in the same fucken bed this whole time. Dew hasn't talked to me since I made her cry yesterday. I suppose it won't matter, I mean I'm just gonna leave her here anyways. Heading downstairs, Golden and Rumor were chatting and having a drink or two. So I decided to join them for a bit. As long as this place stands, I'll finally have a place to return to. A new place to finally call home. After my drinks, I say my goodbyes and I begin to walk out of town when Dew blocked my path.
"I'm coming with you! You can't change my mind." She looks at me like we are partners, which to be honest, I was surprised. It made me laugh at her.
"Your one damn weird mare. Do what you want, but I'm not going anywhere specific." She smiles and walks next to me her bags packed with supplies. It was like she didn't care where we go. For the first time, in a long time, it felt nice to journey with someone.
