Changing Her Ways

Rarity was standing on the beach looking out at the ocean as she watched its waves move past her. It was a spectacular sight, she liked coming here when it was nice outside although she always had to wait for it to get warmer to go but that didn't bother her to much.

As Rarity watched the waves go by her she stayed silent as she observed them while she stood there. As she watched the ocean someone passed her from behind, she noticed it to as she heard their footsteps she wondered if it was one of her friends but if it was one of them then they would have called out to her.

She decided to look and see who it was and saw that it was someone she didn't know, she decided to look at the ocean a bit more, after looking at the ocean for a bit she finally decided that it was time to stop so she left the area and walked home.

As she walked home by herself she made sure to stay alert and looked around at her surroundings so she could avoid stepping in mud or get dirty. She knew that she hated going dirty as that was the way that she was. She was wearing really expensive jeans and if she got those dirty she would panic.

As she walked she continued to think about her behavior for dirt, she knew that her friends sometimes teased her about her fear and she also knew herself that she overreacted sometimes when she did get dirty and that sometimes just looked so ridiculous.

As Rarity thought about her reactions to dirt and mud in general she started to feel ashamed about how ridiculous she was when it came to overreaction to the smallest problems. She always tried to avoid getting dirty at every single turn and it made people look at her like a clean obsessed person obsessed with fashion.

As she continued to think she realized that she could continue to make sure that she was clean but could do a more relaxed job doing it. As she continued to walk home she stepped in mud. She got out of the puddle looked back at it.

She felt like overreacting but realized that she could just ignore it like how normal people did until they washed it. After a few more seconds of thinking she decided to keep calm and just continue to walk home. Once she got home she went inside her place and took her pants off and washed off her pant leg.

As she washed the dirt off her jeans she thought about her attempts to keep herself clean at every instance she had to go out somewhere, she realized how annoying it was to her friends when she had to stop her friends to go clean something off. Her behavior was beginning to look more ridiculous.

She knew that dirt was just a natural thing that happens all around their world, people see it everyday and they don't complain about it all the time, they only complain when it war resent complaint which is unlike her as she complains about dirt everyday she comes across it.

Rarity continued to think about her reactions and realized that their were more important problems to worry about than dirt like helping friends and helping the princess and taking care of your when they are with you.

Rarity finally realized that she could react calmly to dirt and at the same time she could continue to avoid getting dirty, the two were compatible with eachother even if she didn't feel like that they were.

Rarity finished washing the dirt off her jeans and when she finished she decided to not act relieved as she didn't have to act that way as she could just act neutral to getting dirty from now on and just react neutral to dirt in general now.

Rarity turned the water off and left the bathroom and turned the light off. She put on a new pair of jeans and threw the other ones in the hamper, she realized that her other friends never acted the away she acted when it came to dirt as her other friends always shrugged it off when it came to dirt including Applejack.

Applejack teased Rarity about her obsession to be clean often and from time to time Rarity knew that Applejack had a point and as she thought about it now she realized that Applejack was right about her.

Rarity knew that Applejack dealt with dirt everyday on her farm and never complained about it at all as it was just natural soil. Rainbow Dash was the same way as she always jogged on dirt tracks plus she had down in dust patches during races that she took part in but yet she never complained.

If her two best friends were the same way then why couldn't she be the same way as well. She knew that she was very different from them both as she always acted like a high society person when in reality she wasn't.

After thinking about all this she realized that she should change her ways a bit and just get used to the fact that soil existed. She would only complain if it was an expensive dress as she had a right to complain then but if it was cheap clothing then she couldn't complain.

She told her friends about what's he had decided and they all said that they agreed with her but told her that she didn't have to do it for them as they told her that if she did it she should do it for herself so that's what Rarity did.

As time went on she had a more relaxed reaction when it came to dirt, her friends noticed this as time went on, they were all proud of Rarity both they also reminded her that she didn't have to change her feelings about dirt but she stayed in her new way as she continued her more calm approach to dirt. She still complained when she got expensive dresses dirty in rare circumstances as that was warranted but other than that she she reacted more calmly to getting dirty. It was a welcomed change.
