Fluttershy and the Jungle dweller
I can’t remember how long I’ve lived like this, all I remember is being raised by a kind old tigress who took me in as one of her own. I saw a group of beings that looked similar to me walking below, “must be these explorers I’ve heard the others mention” I thought to myself. I leapt from my tree to another tree to keep an eye on them, as I climbed down to get a better view I noticed something. Four of them had a similar body build to mine but the one in the middle was different, it was more slender and curvy and well cute.
Thankfully the tree I was on was very leafy down its trunk which kept me hidden as I climbed to their level, the one in the middle was in front of me when they stopped moving. The pink hair was near me allowing me to catch the gentle scent coming from it, a noise came from around them making them jump a little.
Out of nowhere a couple of black panthers jumped out scaring the explorers, in the confusion I grabbed the pink haired one and quickly climbed up the tree. It didn’t struggle too much allowing me to safely get to an area with a large branch that could support us, I released the explorer and moved a distance back.
I saw the yellow human sit up as it looked around before it’s blue eyes looked at mine, it looked at me curiously like it was trying to figure out what I was. It seemed part scared and part interested in me, slowly I moved towards it as its scent started filling my nose. I circled the being a few times trying to work out what it was before,
“Um Fluttershy” it spoke quietly.
I cocked my head as I heard that, it pointed at itself and said “Fluttershy”. Guessing that was its name I pointed at myself and said “Springwater”, my speaking was limited but I still remembered the name that was given to me. I growled angrily at them as I quickly grabbed my tool and raised it to my captives neck, "I don't think he'd enjoy you taking his family members" Fluttershy said. "Did she understand what I said?" I thought to myself when I heard her say that, before Fluttershy could carry on the other two explorers came back with the same tools aimed at the other human.
"Thanks, you two we had suspicions about hunters infiltrating our group," one of them said "we'll take em from here", the two hunters dropped their guns before I released the one I had before they were marched off by the other two. I ran up to the two cubs and nuzzled them to comfort them, Fluttershy carefully walked up next to us as she heard us communicating with each other.
"Aw looks like you lot are quite close," she said before a rustle could be heard, the cub's mother aka my sister came into view as she checked that her litter was ok. She looked at Fluttershy and softly growled a thank you which Fluttershy somehow understood, My sister silently growled into my ear which caught me off guard. "Maybe it's time for you to start your own family," she said to me "go with her and be who you're supposed to be", I looked at her with a mixture of sadness and happiness before giving her and the cubs one last nuzzle.
I growled at Fluttershy "please take me with you", she smiled at me "you've chosen me as your mate?" she asked. I nodded as she knelt down and pressed her lips against mine, satisfied my sister headed off with her cubs as I let out a roar to say goodbye and thanks for everything.
It took us a while to reach the campsite that she was at and thankfully most of her stuff hadn't been unpacked, "is it ok to go back now?" Fluttershy asked as I stood up trying to imitate their posture. "You sure missy? there's lots more to see out there" one of them said, Fluttershy said "it's ok I can visit anytime" she hooked her arm in mine as she held me close to her.
The next few hours felt weird as I sat down in something they called a jeep and taken to a busy area, the noise definitely startled me as we boarded a large thing that flew into the sky. Fluttershy helped me to stay calm as we flew this aeroplane thing until we landed a few hours later, during my entire trip a lot of these humans looked at me weirdly but as Fluttershy said it's due to my attire, she said a friend of her's can sort me out a new pair of clothes and Fluttershy will help me learn to dress up in them. I'll be honest I'm scared of the changes but at the same time I know that I'll have my mate right beside me through all of this, knowing this I can take whatever my new life will bring.
