"Ugh....mmf......argh!"
I sat up, trying to compensate what had just happened. I sat there, waiting for the answer to come, but it never came. I stood up, making my way through the gaming controllers, clothes, and the most feared things in all of man...Legos. A shiver ran down my back as I carefully moved with stealth across the slim, dirty brown carpet. I reached the door, breathed a sigh of relief, and slowly turned the brass nob. Walking out the door, I felt a shrill of cold air flow across my entire body, as if I was in a freezer. Looking around I found the light-switch. I flipped the switch and a blinding yellow light filled the whole entire area. Shutting my eyes closed I tried to re-open them. Slowly at first, but then gradually adjusting to the brightness. Walking to the kitchen, I opened the wooden cupboard, reaching for a glass cup, when I heard an "Eep!" come from behind me. Turning around swiftly on the hard tile, I saw what looked like to be a crying yellow...pony. I tried to think of a reasonable explanation to what is happening before me, but could not think of one. Looking towards the pony, I spoke three words: "Are you alright?". The yellow pony looked up at me with a frightened look, but before I could say some comforting words, the pony's face contorted into a sneer, then a hideous grin. From my experience with horror movies and such, I looked towards the worn down drawer, puled out a medium sized knife with a green handle on it, and put up a defensive position. I stared at the deformed pony as I prepared for the worst. 5 minutes passed, we both staring into each other's eyes.
It had dark red eyes that seemed to look straight into your soul. We stared at each other, waiting for the other to slip up, when I heard a loud ringing. The ringing grew louder and louder with every second that pass, causing me to look down and cover my ears. I looked up and the deformed pony was right in my face, showing its malicious smile. I was now petrified and could not breathe. I was waiting for a blow to be struck, but there was none, only laughter. I saw that the creature was moving its mouth, but what-ever it was saying was barely audible. I could only make out two words: Be prepared. And then blackness.
I sat up in my bed, the alarm clock blasting music. I quickly turned it off and sat there. Re-thinking what the dream was about, I had forgotten what day it was. Quickly turning towards the lavender clock, the time was 6:49 in the morning. Breathing a sigh of relief, I got up and took in my surroundings. My Xbox was sitting on top of my T.V with my wired controller hooked up to it. A bunch of clothes were spread out across the floor. My computer was under my bed, next to the empty soda bottle. A couple of game disc were on top of the Xbox, one of the being Call of Duty: Black Ops.
"Man, I better clean up this mess before mom rides my ass all the way to Connecticut again."
Getting up, I grabbed a pair of pants, a shirt, some mismatched socks, a brown jacket, and a red beanie. I put the clothes on and grabbed my house key, wallet, and phone. Today was a very special day. The day I finally ask Kiara Muñoz to the Valentine's Dance! By the way, My name is Timmy Jackson, but everyone calls me "TJ" for short. I'm your average built middle-school student, I have decent grades, Trustworthy friends, And the occasional "problems" most kids my age have to deal with. I don't dislike my way of life, but I feel there is something important missing. Let's just hope it comes sooner rater than later, I guess.
I walked off the the concrete sidewalk towards my school, a big, cheesy grin on my face. I usually bring my Ipod with me and listen to one of my favorite gaming soundtracks. This song always takes my mind off of unwanted thoughts. I was about halfway through my walk when a frightening thought came into my mind: Be prepared.
