"What did you think of me dear sister?"
Luna watched the moon above the horizon, no cloud wandering the blue, never ending sky. The Pegasi certainly did their job clearing it out. The moon cast a certain light that rose above all others, but the ponies in equestria, now seem to be in an endless slumber. But closely, Luna watched the moon. And pictured Nightmare moon. The horrible mistress that wanted to send all ponies into eternal darkness. Bringing fear to their eyes. And how SHE threatening the world one-thousand years ago. All the ponies she loved, all the normal ones, died. Not even seeing them grow old, not the birth of their children. Due to her crimes, the ponies faded away before she could say goodbye.
"Luna? What are you doing up so late?"
The princess of equestria, Celestia, came into the dark room, only lit by the moon's brightness.
"I was just...thinking..." She answered.
"About what?"
Luna craned her head around to look at her sister.
"Me. Nightmare moon."
The princess trotted over to her poor sister and sat beside her.
"You don't have to think about her anymore."
"But she haunts me... ever time I raise the moon and look upon it...I imagine myself crying and wishing to come back...but I knew I still had rage in my heart..."
"Nightmare moon was the past. It was only jealousy and hate that caused you to go mad. It's not you fault."
"...But...when I was banished...What did you think of me dear sister?"
Celestia looked at Luna and back at the moon.
"I regretted putting you there. After I used my magic to send you to the moon... I cried that very night. I watched your friends grow old and die. Countless generations coming before me and perish. I wished you came back. But I also have a question to ask...Why were you so jealous?"
Luna looked back at the ground in shame, her jealousy made her Nightmare moon.
"Because, you had all the power. You made the sun, a beautiful light that shun through the earth, giving life to everything that touched it. And I Made the moon, which only comes out in the nighttime, The ponies were frightened by the darkness, seeking the light that you created. They hated the creation that I made."
"But the moon is beautiful. It created the beautiful shine on the ocean, it moves the tides, and it also makes light like the sun. The Sun and moon are like sisters, we ARE sisters. We have a connection that can't be broken."
"But I broke the bond."
"Luna, please understand, this was never your fault. You let jealousy get the best of you."
"And It cost me my happiness."
Luna started to cry.
"There's no need for crying!"
"But up there...on the moon...It was so cold...I felt so alone. All I could do was cry...The earth looked so far. I was far from home... I'm sorry..."
"You don't have to worry about it anymore."
"But all my friends, those I disrespected and hurt, those who I wish I could say sorry to, they are all dead."
"But they forgive you."
"There's no proof."
"I know they do because I asked them.After you left, I attended myself to ask every pony to forgive you, and they all did. Luna, your not the most perfect pony, but you have a heart."
Luna Put her hooves around Celestia.
"Thank you." Luna said.
Princess Luna walked through the castle hallways, still the moon in the sky, high and mighty. Also looking at the wonderful stained glass, each telling a story to them. As she walked through, she came into the main room, were the elements of harmony were stored. Above it was the stained glass telling about how the main six vanquished nightmare night. It bought sorrow to her heart, but from what Celestia said to her, that she was loved, she felt nothing, just proud that they defeated NIGHTMARE MOON, not Luna. Nightmare moon was gone, that evil mare who wanted to darkened this good world, was gone. Luna walked away from the glass hallway, and outside the night that she created. The flowers outside were still in bloom, a small pond in the middle of the bundles of roses and tulips. The humidity outside was warm and peaceful, she could even hear fillies outside the castle walls, playing, with no fear. Fireworks sparked in Ponyville, causing the light to mix with the sparks, a party in the small town. The ponies dancing in the nighttime. As they played, she looked at the moon, were she was in fear from the cold air and loneliness, but now she's back home.
"Thank you sister." She said.
