Finding Perfect Harmony
Epilogue
Previous ChapterNext ChapterCords were scattered everywhere in the small cottage home, each finally finding its way some way or another to Vinyl’s room before disappearing amongst all the others the covered the floor.
It had been like this for weeks, ever since Vinyl decided she wanted to write a song that used my guitar with Vinyl’s unique custom style. I was skeptical at first about the whole thing, tackling two different genres with one song was by far easier said than done, and in all honesty, I still wasn’t sure about the whole thing.
I popped the last of the chores into my guitar, strumming it once to make sure it was in tune. “Are you sure about this Vinyl?” I asked.
“Of course.” She stated turning several switches on her soundboard. “You practiced those sheets I gave you right?”
“Yeah, I looked over them.” I joked.
Suddenly a voice came from the doorway making me and Vinyl shift our gaze to the familiar steel gray earth mare standing there leaning on the door frame.
“Oh hey Octavia, what’s up?” Vinyl asked.
“Remember our deal Vinyl; I want this stuff out of here before tonight.” Octavia stated.
“Why, is your colt friend coming tonight? Vinyl joked as she began laughing.
“Yes, actually.” She said with a slight blush instantly shutting Vinyl up.
“Wait what, when did this happen!?”
“About a week ago, he’s very refined and I don’t plan on revealing my friend’s insanity until he’s ready.”
Vinyl looked at me for a moment before turning to face Octavia again. “Sure Octy, it won’t be a problem. I’ll be on my best behavior right Pitch?”
“Same here.”
“That’s what I’m afraid of.” Octavia stated before exiting the room towards her own.
“Never mind her, let’s get this thing going.” Vinyl stated walking over and shutting the door. “You ready?”
“As I’ll ever be.” I stated putting the guitar strap over my head as the slow music began.
