It's been ten years since the Storm King's attack and the founding of Twilight Sparkle's school of friendship.

Scootaloo finds herself part of a loving, caring adoptive family, but sometimes finds herself worrying that she doesn’t fit in, or isn’t capable of doing her part to earn their love. This lends her to taking up the position of store manager of her family’s newest shop, in Manehattan. However, she can’t work all by herself, now can she?

Enter Alexei Crofter, the only Human in Equestria.

My own little spin on the classic HiE story, avoiding all the "Anon" and second person perspective stuff which, while I don’t dislike, I can't write worth a damn.

NOTE: I originally intended to have this be a full length, as in multi-chapter, story, but I intentionally wrote the first chapter so that it could hold water as a stand alone story, in case my writer’s block got the best of me. Well, with this particular tale, that has happened . . . for now. I may yet continue this universe in future stories. But, for now, here it is. Consider it a small gift, I guess, to those who might care.
