No violent D class personnel is to come in contact with SCP-5049. Anyone who attempts contact will be immediately terminated after interaction with the subject.

Discription.

SCP-5049, who was given the name Lyra, is a slightly cartoonish mare of the species Equus ferus caballus. At the time of this files creation the subject currently stands approximently at 0.66 meters in height, or 2ft 2inch. She has a light green coat, mane and tail, with a single white streak in the subjects mentioned main and tail.

Eye color of the subject is light yellow. On her forehead is a boney protrusion that is the cause of 5049s abilities. Attempts of studying on how the horn gives her her abilities have all ended in failure.

SCP-5049 is capable of speach, and has the personality of that of a typical ten year old child. She is always curious of her surroundings, and expresses interest in educational subjects such as reading and math. However, she is prone to trouble making, such as disobeying orders from the staff, or playing pranks on said staff. Usually the punishments would involve a sturn talk or for her to clean whatever mess she has made. If the savarity of the action caused by SCP-5049 is increased, she will be confined to her cell and will be unable to leave for a period of time.

SCP-5049 has the ability to use telekinesis and teleportation with her horn, though it is unclear how exactly she uses these abilities. She claims that when she preforms her telekinesis, she imagines a pair of hands doing the action and when she does her teleportation, she simply thinks of the place she wishes to go. Though, this ability only works through short distances, but earlier sighns show that she is able to use more abilities that she is unaware of, see incident 5049/1.

Aditional notes.

SCP-5049 was brought to the attention of foundation staff after a critical heart attack in the house belonging to a Mr. ---- and a Ms. ----. The elderly couple had heard the subjects infent cries coming from their basement. The two went down to investigate, and had found SCP-5049 wrapped in a bundle of blankets with a gold lyre and a scroll laying next to her.

Not knowing what to do, the two believed the child was a being sent by God, and had decided to raise her the best they could. For the next two weeks, the couple cared for the subject, even going as far as even giving her the name Lyra. However, on october 1st, 19-- the elderly man had had a heart-atttack on the steps of his home from his work. In panic, his wife called 9/11 to aid her husbands condition.

An ambulance arrived at the couples house for treatment of the mans condition, and an onsite agent had entered the families home, believing the heart attack was caused by an unknown SCP. He had discovered SCP-5049 in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Foundation staff were called immediately, and the subject was taken from the house along with the scroll and the lyre. A class B amnestic was given to the couple, erasing all traces of the anomaly.

SCP-5049 was categorized as safe at the day of retrieval, and an onsite researcher by the name of Dr. ----- and a guard by the name of ----- were tasked with studying the creatures behavior. However, over the ongoing weeks after her retrieval, the two had begun to show sighns of attachment towards her. Rumors began spreading on how the two wished to be the subjects caretakers, and the O5 had heard quickly of this news, and the two were immediately brought in for questioning.

The O5 council had informed to the two that it would be rather dangerous to get attached with any subject. However, Dr. ----- had said that SCP-239 was raised under similar circumstances. The O5 council had told the two that because of a few of the researchers getting attached to the subject was what lead to her current comatose state.

Mr. ----- had retorted by saying that the only reason SCP-239 was under such treatment was because of how much of a threat she was with her abilities, and that she was never trained or given guidance from any adult figure in the foundation. He told them that they would raise her how they see fit, while also researching her anomalous properties as training to control her abilities.

The council had heavily debated on taking this action, believing that it was both a good idea to possibly rais the subject as a possible agent and to see how useful her abilities would be to find more dangerous SCPs. However, it would be difficult on how attached the agents would get to the subject, and possibly denying certain tests. After many hours, the council had agreed that the two would be allowed to rais the subject, and swore to rais it the best they could. The two agents agreed, and became the first unofficial SCP parents.

Incident 5049/1

On october-, 19--. Dr. ----- was entertaining SCP-5049 in her containment cell when a short breach with SCP----- had broken out from its cell, causing a short lockdown to occur and the alarms to go off.

The subject was easily re contained, but SCP-5049 had been frightened from the noise.

Camera footage had shown Dr. ----- being levitated by SCP-5049s telekinesis, and several parts of the room either ------, -----------, or ------- -----.

Eventually the subject had teleported away from her cell, but due to the tracking device already being implanted, she was discovered within the staff's break room, sleeping on the couch. She was carried back to her cell with no complications.

SCP-5049 was then categorized as Euclid for her file from then on, in case of another accedent was to occur. The alarms were also removed from her cell, to not frighten the subject.

Adendom 5049/ 2

This is the scroll that was found along with SCP-5049.

Please my little girl, forgive me. Sending you away was not what I wanted, but I had no choice. I wanted to keep you safe, to keep that thing contained, and to keep the world and you safe. I just hope that wherever you are that you are safe and being cared for.

Your mother.

End log.
