Hug Chug

Twilight and Starlight were standing next to a cauldron filled with Liquid Rainbow, the two had a large Book floating overhead.

"It's time to do the final potion in the book, Ready Twilight?"

"I'm ready, OK, Add a dash of Cloud" Twilight read as Starlight emptied a jar of cloud into the rainbow "7 Crystal Berries" Starlight levitated the 7 Berries and dropped them in all at once "A quarter cup of Sugar and Syrup" Twilight added the Syrup while Starlight did the Sugar "dip a lit Candelabra in flame first then melt with magic " Starlight did just that. "2 Roses in the melted wax" Starlight placed the two roses in the small bit of white that were still visible in the Rainbow "Stir with an Alicorn Feather, OW" Twilight rubbed her wing as Starlight sired the feather in for a second, the entire liquid content started swirling on its own, Starlight tossed the feather and the two watched as the liquid swirled and waited until it stopped "And Finally condense."

The Two lit their horns and Started condensing the liquid, after little effort they poured the liquid into a glass potion bottle, the liquid rainbow within glowing brightly, they placed it at the top of a rack of potions.

"We did it!" Starlight cheered as she spun the rack "All One thousand and one potions created and labeled for emergency use!"

"We are prepared for anything!" Twilight said happily, as she watched the rack spin, Starlight stood back and watched the potions for a second, until the one they had just made flew off and out an open window

"Shit" Starlight said, "I thought you fixed that?"

"I forgot to Magnetize the bottle, Dammit!" Twilight sighed "Whelp, let's make another one."

"Were out of Crystal berries"

"Celestia dammit"

-Meanwhile-

The bottle flew out the window and hit the ground, as luck would have it all of Twilight's bottles came pre-enchanted to be shatterproof, so upon impact it bounced up and down the hill till it landed at the hooves of a Sale's pony who picked it

"Liquid rainbow, Hot damn, I can sell this for a pretty penny." And he did, to the first Pegasus who came to his stall, Rainbow Dash. who smiled at the drink.

"Now I won't owe Spitfire anything," She said happily as she put the bottle in her satchel and flew to Wonderbolt academe. Spitfire was in her office, looking through that week's training Schedule when Dash opened the door and tossed her the drink "Were even now" She said and left. Spitfire looked at the Drink.

"Nice, I needed a pick-me-up for later," she smiled as she put it in her Backpack. She stood up and Pressed the intercom. "All Wonderbolts report to the runway, we have special training in the Crystal Empire today," A mighty groan could be heard all throughout the building "Don't worry, we're taking the train there, report to get your ticket, or you will have to fly, Spitfire out" she grabbed her bag and left her office.

-Back at the Castle-

"Why do I have to do this again?" Spike demanded irritably as Twilight told him his final task for the day.

"Because you're famous in the Crystal Empire, so you get a hero's discount."

"No, I meant why would you ask me to get 7 berries, only to come back withing like ten minutes of me getting back and ask me to get exactly 7 more berries? I already spent all morning on this now I gotta spend the rest of the afternoon doing the same dam thing?"

"Fine, get me 35 Berries, that should give us enough for 5 attempts just in case something goes wrong." Spike sighed

"Fine, I'll get your dam berries, but I'm taking tomorrow off for this waste of my time," Spike muttered as he pocketed a couple dozen bits and walked out the door, making his way down to the train station. only to be met with a huge crowd as the Wonderbolts got on board, he made his way to the front and got the attention of the Conductor who smiled at him and raised his Megaphone.

"Please stand back, Spike the Dragon is also boarding" This gave Spike just enough room to get to where The Wonderbolt's were, and right next To Rainbow Dash of all ponies.

"Sup?" Rainbow asked, offering her fist to bump

"Something stupid" Spike assered her as he accepted the offer and bumped fists.

"So Twilight related I'm guessing?" Rainbow and Spike got on board, Rainbow Dash handed the conductor her Ticket, and Spike just waved at him as he got on, Spike was well-known to the Train's crew, he had spent the last 8 weeks going and getting things for Twilight and Starlight's potions.

"I told you she was gonna need more than 7." The Conductor said

"I know, I know," Spike waved his off with a huff, "what do I owe ya this time?"

"An Autograph from a Wonderbolt would be cool."

"Alright," Spike said as he got on board the Wonderbolt-filled train, "But it's probably gonna be Rainbow's headshot,"

"Afternoon Spike," Spitfire said as he sat across from him "How have you been since the games?"

"Oh yeah, The Ice cloud thing...pretty good. You?"

"Can't complain, have been getting the letters?"

"Yeah, and as much as I'd love to help you guys, I don't have wings." Spike shook his head, "Not to mention I just don't have the time to attend two weeks of reserve training,"

"When you do, contact us, adding a Fire-breathing dragon to the team could help us, and I can add an Ice Cloud to the training course if you're there to melt it if things go wrong." Spike chuckled at the idea of being paid to breathe.

"Sounds like a plan," he said as he took up two seats to take a nap for the Journey, Spitfire fished around in her bag as the train started moving and pulled out the Drink, She popped the lid and took a Swig.

"Must be a new flavor," She noted with her tongue out, "This taste is way too sweet, Hey Spike yo..." She looked up at Spike to ask him if he wanted it and stopped, He looked the same, but different, his face, his body, his....other parts, all seemed to be glowing with radiance, he looked like everything she had ever wanted in life, a goofy smile spread across her face and she giggled. She rested her head on her arms and just started at the now sleeping Spike, what she was thinking...was super inappropriate. suddenly she felt somepony poke her head and she turned and looked up at Rainbow Dash who was smiling

"I saw that look, Never thought you'd go all gooey for somepony like Spike" Dash smiled as Spitfire eyed her harshly, "I won't tell any pony." She lowered herself back out of view and immediately turned to Soarin who was sporting a sly grin, "But you didn't promise her anything did you Soarin" He smiled and left to slowly spread the rumor across the Train.
Spitfire chugged down the last of her now perfect-tasting drink and laid down, Staring at Spike for the rest of the Train ride as though he were a piece of art.
