Chapter1: My feeling
As I heard her hooves coming closer, I hid my face under my blanket. I felt ashamed, but also I felt my heart race because I told her something that I tried to hide away for a very long time. Oh yeah. My name is Spike the dragon, and I am her assistant. With ’her’ I mean Twilight Sparkle.
The first time we came here in Ponyville, I fell in love with a white mare Rarity. Some weeks ago I told her that I loved her, but she rejected me.
My heart was shattered. I even felt alone, lost in my thoughts. I came back here to the library and she came over to me. My eyes were red from crying back when she told me that it was going to be all right, and after those words, something changed in me.
I felt safe, warm, and the loneliness that I felt after my heart was broken was gone, all the feelings were replaced by the feeling I had for Rarity. But now those feelings were for the mare I knew, did I really feel that way about Twilight? A week came and went, and I still had feelings for her? Could it be that I always have felt this way about Twilight? I don’t understand why, but did I really hide those feelings deep inside of me? I was confused, so I hid in my basket. I wanted to be alone with my thoughts and feelings. I felt so alone, but on the other hand, I didn’t. As I heard her come closer, I hid deeper in the blanket. I wanted to hide my face and my feelings away from her, but I couldn’t hold them in any longer. I felt the need to tell her to tell her the three words that were going around in my mind like a rollercoaster. Three words that kept on moving inside of me, turning my stomach and making my heart race.
Every time I heard her hooves come closer, my heart raced. I could feel her breath in my neck, and I smelled the sweetness of her mane. The shampoo she was using was the one I suggested to her. The daisy/vanilla smell made my heart race, my stomach turn, and my blood was running hot.
I felt her teeth gripping the blanket, ready pull it away. I tugged the blanket, but somehow I didn’t have the strength to resist her. Her muzzle was close to my face, and it almost felt like she was kissing me on my cheek.
“Come on, Spike you can’t keep being sad like this.” said Twilight with a strict voice.
“Please Twilight... leave me alone” I said, curling up in my basket.
I felt her hoof stroke over my head, and it gave me a sense of safety. I felt her, again trying to remove the blanket. This time I didn’t resist. I let go of my blanket as Twilight pulled it away. I hugged my knees just to hide my blushing face, I wanted to tell her the three words. ‘I. Love. You.’ The words are so simple, but yet so hard to say. I have been avoiding Twilight for some time, avoiding her face, her smile, I just can’t resist her.
“Hey, my number one assistant.”
“Tell me, what’s wrong?”
“I know Rarity rejected you and you feel sad, but it’s been like a month.” said Twilight, worried about me.
“I know but I ….” I said, while looking deeply into her purple eyes.
“I love you, Twilight.”
is what I wanted to say, but all of my courage vanished, and I was just staring deeply into her eyes. My face was becoming red again. She came closer as I smelled her scent.
“Hey Spike, are you feeling sick?” she softly placed her forehead on mine.
“Hmm it doesn’t feel like you’re sick, but you do feel a bit off to me.”
As I looked more into her eyes, I couldn’t keep the words in any longer. I held her hoof and I looked into her eyes.
“I have to tell you something Twilight.” I swallowed my dread.
The soft touch of her hoof in my claw, her fur touching my skin... it felt like her magic was flowing into me, a sensation that I had never felt with Rarity. Maybe this feeling was the one and only feeling I was looking for in the love I felt for Rarity. But it wasn’t her; it was Twilight for whom I had these feelings, all the time.
“I L...lov…” I looked at Twilight.
I turned around. I could feel my face burn. I was blushing so much. Why are these three words so hard to say? I told Rarity those words so many times but why is it so hard to do right now?
I talked to Twilight about it, but why is it so hard to say them now? I was about to let go of her hoof- the feeling of being rejected again made it hard for me to even say these words, but then something happened, something I didn’t think I would ever hear from her.
“It’s okay Spike I know, I know what you are feeling for me and well...” Twilight blushed.
It was hard for me to not look her in the eyes now; a feeling of warmth came to me, like I was standing on a cloud floating high above the ground.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing but then again there where signs; the scent of her mane, the attention she gave me after I came home, crying my eyes out, and maybe the way she was looking at me.
I turned around and looked Twilight in her deep purple eyes, I waited for her to say the words that I wanted to hear so desperately. The four letter word.
“I love you Spike, I was so sad when you said you loved Rarity...”
“I almost wanted to cry when you said that, my heart never was that heavy before.”
Her eyes were tearing up as she said those words. The three words came out of her mouth.
I swallowed, I felt my heart racing. It was like that one time when Rainbow Dash was showing off her amazing flying skills, or like Pinkie Pie, being in her mood to party. I felt like FlutterShy, too shy to say anything at all, but brave to tell my friends what I felt. As proud as Apple Jack, for her to say those words, I looked her in her eyes, wiped away her tears. Looking at her made me feel like I could say it out loud; the words that my heart would speak.
“I love you too, Twilight” I said proudly.
I hugged her tightly, wrapping my claws around her neck, I looked into her eyes, and she smiled. She gave me a little kiss on my cheek. I felt my face burning red, I looked at her and she was blushing too. I softly kissed her on the cheek, and I kissed her on her soft lips. I felt her not resisting me either. We kissed her more passionately with every turn. I ran my claws along her long and beautiful mane, and as we kissed, I smelled the vanilla and daisies. I pulled away from her, gazing at her. She grins and stares into my eyes, searching for something.
“I am so happy, Twilight, I never thought that I would be after what had happened between me and Rarity. “
“Hmm... yes Spike, I can understand that.”
Twilight kissed my cheek and looked at me smiling back at her. She softly stroked my scales, and ran her hoof over my neck and tummy. My scales were very sensitive. I giggled when she ran her hoof over my belly. A surge of magic shot up from my spine to my head, I never had that kind of feeling with Rarity. I softly touched her fur, rubbing her coat, I felt the softness of her fur on my claw and I held her close to me, feeling her warmth around me. The feeling of magic that I had was running into my heart. I felt it beating faster and faster. I felt Twilight’s heartbeat too. Her heartbeat was fast, like mine. I looked at her, still having a blush on her face. I felt in love with some one that I cared for, but why did I feel this way about Twilight?
“Twilight...?”I asked her softly.
“Yes, Spike? Is there something on your mind?”
