Umbassa and the Rise of Everlasting Dragons.

I yawned as I walked through the Con. I was at Comic-Con dressed in one of the armors from Demon Souls, Brushwood. The only one here with this set, not that I minded, the game just came out and not many crossplayers are up to speed. There were rumors of Kidnappings of Cross Players in recent days has made some of them take off their costumes.
I looked over the stuff being sold for the next game coming out from From Software. Dark Souls. Don’t know what it was about yet, but the Commercials were great and I was hyped as hell.
“Hello, there sir. Do you wish it makes your costume better?” I heard and saw a tent full of Gamer Collectibles. I blinked and walked over.
“Wow, why is no one over here?! This stuff is awesome!” I chuckled.
“Well, I just opened up.” The man chuckled. “Though most will be gone by the end of the day so grab what you can!” He told me.
“Okay!” I chuckled at him as I looked around, not caring for the Halo crap, or any guns really. I like Hack and Slash games. Mario and Platformers like that, and I really didn’t want to have some frilly kids game stuff. “Okay, wow I want none of….” I started before seeing the Northern Regalia. A beautiful sword from Demons and my favorite one from the game.
“Ah, nice choice, Forty bucks.” He told me making me blink.
“Wait really?! This is a masterpiece!” I told him.
“Yes. I don’t need it and you are my first Customer.” He chuckled as I noticed he was wearing a mouse Cosplay of Mickey. “I want my first Customer to be very happy.”
“Okay Here!” I said slapping the money down and grabbing the heavy damn sword.
Then the world went black and there was only pain.
Days Later
I moaned in pain as I felt someone bandaging me up. I remember the sword, blackness, screams, fighting and pain, so much pain. “Craaap.” I groaned.
“Oh, you’re okay?” I heard a female ask.
“Who?” I asked opening my eyes to blurry vision. I saw a Mare of white fur and colorful mane. There was a gruff looking wolf behind her. “What?” I asked.
“I’m Harmony, and this is my Companion Lucas. He’s from one of the old Knight Orders.” She told me.
also, you can take Lucas if you want.
“What?!” I exclaimed as the wolf went for a blade on his belt...the Anthropomorphic wolf went for his blade.
“Please Calm down.” She told me as her hands glowed and I felt my wounds healed.
“We shouldn’t have taken him in. Bad enough the demons are growing in power but the new dragons are talking and fighting us.” The wolf snarled at the mare. “Even worse I’m told to follow you around, you freak.”
The mare winced at that as the wolf huffed and looked away.
“What’s going on?!” I asked in confusion.
“We’re at war, boy. And you know the war with these freaky large dragons and demons from the Old One.” Lucas snarled at me.
“I’m...lost,” I told them.
“Great, he doesn’t even know what’s happening.” Lucas huffed. “Just what we need.”
“He was hit by a starving demon! Would you remember!” Harmony called out to him.
“And I told you to not take him in!” The wolf argued back. “We don’t even know what he is!”
“I’m David,” I said getting up, happy to see I was still human. “Man my head.”
“You shouldn’t be walking around. You were hit pretty hard.” Harmony told me.
“I’ll be fine,” I said noticing Northern Regalia was still on my hip and I was in farmer clothes. “Did I have any armor?”
“No, and you seem to not understand how do use that sword.” She told me giving Lucas a begging look.
“Oh fuck off.” He snarled, leaving the room and slamming the door closed.
“He’ll come around. Look we’re on a mission from the Umbassa Church, we’re are to find the Old One and...rid our world of it. Lucas is charged with helping me reach the Tree. He is the Bearer of Souls.” Harmony told me.
“Okay...why are you telling me this?” I asked.
“You are unlike the Direwolves, the Old Dragons, and the New Dragons. You are new, just like me. We think I plead with the Old One...make him stop making Demons.” She told me.
“I see...and you want me to join you?” I asked, confused.
“Well...yes. Umbassa must have sent you on our path for a purpose?” She suggested.
“I guess, but I have no idea who you are?” I told her. “Or at least where am I”
“You are in the land of Umasa.” She told me. “The Ruins of the Great Tower.”
“I see. Can I go outside?” I asked.
“Not yet you need to get healed.” She told me as I laid down.
“Great.” I huffed as she continued healing me.
“Lucas, can you get some of the soup from the Estus Cauldron?” She asked the wolf outside.
We heard a grumble from him as he walked off to get me some soup.
“Look the Dire wolves….they’re getting Desperate and Lucas is Very Proud.” She told me. “Don’t hold his manners against him.”
“I don’t see why I should, but okay.” I sighed laying back. The mare smiled me as the wolf walked back in with a bowl, I could see we were in some half crumble church with other...I guess healer, making the rounds. We were in a room far away from the groaning wolves.
“Here.” He mumbled, passing me my soup before walking back out.
“Thanks,” I called after before sipping from the bowl...finding it burned a bit but was of some Vegetables.
“Estus is also known as the plant fire. It has amazing healing powers.” Harmony told me. “We’ll be leaving soon, so drink up.”
“Okay,” I said drinking my soup. The mare nodded before walking out. “Great, so I’m in some strange new world.”
“Come on!” Lucas called out to me.
“Shit, coming!” I said gulping the soup and spriting out. “Were to?” I asked.
“To the Tower Knight. We need to collect his souls. We need gain enough to near the Old One and not die.” Harmony told me.
“And I have to make sure you don’t die, or slow us down.” Lucas huffed.
“Okay,” I said as we started walking to a massive gate in the tower.

Okay, here's the...first story in the World of ToM. very near the beginning of the world of Equestria and the slumber of the first god.
Hope you all like. These tales will establish more of the world around Marian. Still working on ToM, but I felt giving a clearer picture of the world I'm creating will help.
