Tempest couldn't believe the verdict of the trial. All the things she had done while chasing twilight and even before that was all pardoned.
"That doesn't mean that I deserve all of this" yelled Tempest.
She looked over at the sun over the south wing of Celestia castle and smiled. She had gotten to know Celestia as a friend but after Tempest told Celestia about the Storm Kings army in the Badlands Celestia ordered Tempest to go and gather anybody that would help Equestria stop the Storm Kings army.
"I can't believe their going to give me back my ship and they said I could bring Grabber if I wanted to but one ship against a whole army I don't know if I can even accomplish this and I depart tomorrow" said Tempest as she watched the sun go down.
"Well I can figure it out tomorrow after we depart but right now I am tired" said Tempest as she turned around and headed back to her bed.
As she was getting into her bed she was surprised that it was as comfortable as her bed in her captain quarters back on her ship.
"I guess I will have to thank Celestia for letting me stay in the castle" said Tempest as she began closing her eyes.
"Tempest open your eyes it's time to get up" said Twilight as she began entering the room.
"What in the hell Twilight" asked Tempest as she began to open her eyes.
"Well it's almost time for you to leave Equestria and I didn't want you to go on an empty stomach"
"Thanks Twilight but I have food on my ship so honesty I could eat when we leave" said Tempest as she got up to walk over to the bathroom.
"I know but I wanted you to taste Princess Celestia pancakes" said Twilight as she walked over to the bathroom door.
"I know Twilight but I need to get ready to leave" said Tempest as she ran her head over some cold water to wake herself up.
"What do you mean you have to get ready you have five hours until you leave" questioned Twilight.
"Well I have to get fitted for new armor and I also have to get my sword from the Canterlot smith that was ordered to forge a sword for me and then I have to oversee them when they start getting supplies onto my ship and then I have to be at the ship taking check of the crew so I don't have time to get pancakes" said Tempest as she walked out of the bathroom.
"Oh well can I come with you" asked Twilight as she walked toward the window.
"Well I guess you can if you want to but I don't know what why" said Tempest as she started walking to the door that lead out of the room.
"Well I would like to spend some time to get to know you better" said Twilight as she started to walk to Tempest.
Tempest open the door for Twilight and the left her room and closed the door. As she was walking in the castle long hallway she started to think about the mission at hoof she still hadn't came up with a plan yet and she didn't know what to do because she knew that if she doesn't come up with something they won't even stand a chance against the storm kings army. At the same time Twilight was thinking of spike and how he was a last minute volunteer.
I can't believe spike sign up for war and he didn't think nothing of it but I bet Tempest hasn't looked at the list of crew members yet oh I hope she makes the right call I don't want spike to go to war Twilight thought as they were nearing the blacksmith.
"Name" asked the Blacksmith as he was cleaning a sword of dust with a peice of cloth.
"My name is Tempest Shadow" said Tempest.
"Let's see here oh there it is the blacksmith" says as he pulled out a sword made from steel and reinforced with copper.
"This is my most cherished sword I have prepared" the blacksmith told Tempest as he was handing over the blade to Tempest.
Tempest started looking at the sword the blade was a steel with with yellow beads in the middle of the blade going down the blade but the hilt was a blue color and a red scarlet ruby at the bottom of the sword. I actually think I am in love with this sword Tempest thought.
"Thank you for making me a sword" said Tempest as she sheathed her new blade.
"Well I know most haven't forgotten how you invaded canterlot but I can honestly say that you proved that you were loyal at the end" said the blacksmith as turned back to working on cleaning his sword.
"Thank you that means so much to Tempest" said Twilight finally revealing herself from behind Tempest.
"I'm only expressing my opinion of Tempest miss Twilight" said the blacksmith as he turned around to talk to the princess.
"I'm sorry but we have to be going now because I am afraid I have a lot of work to do" said Tempest as she started walk towards the center of the city.
"Twilight lets go we need to get my new armor from the armor stand that's in the center of canterlot" said Tempest as she turned back to look at Twilight.
"I know Tempest but why can't we just slow down for a bit besides I am kinda tired of walking" said Twilight as she turn to look at Tempest.
"Because I can't afford to be late besides I was thinking that we could go get a bite to eat after this next errand" said Tempest with a smile.
"Okay I coming" said Twilight as she started to run to catch up with Tempest.
They walked for several more moments without saying a word but Tempest decided to break the silence.
"So where do you want to eat, just pick a place I have enough bits to take you to any restaurant you want Twilight" said Tempest with a smile.
"I don't believe it how do you have enough bits for something like that and why would you do something like that" asked Twilight as she stared at Tempest with amazement.
"Well you came with me so we could hang out before I leave right why not have lunch together and as for the bits well I told Celestia of my idea and she gave me the bits" Tempest explained.
"So Celestia was in on this well I guess I will have to think her later" said Twilight.
"Yeah Celestia has to be one of my best friends just like you and Luna" said Tempest as she realized that they were at the armor stand so they went to ask for the salespony.
"Hello I am here to buy armor my name is-" said Tempest
"Commander Tempest shadow of the Storm Guard I know who you are and I got to say I am a big fan of your battle tactics oh my name is iron smith" said the salespony as he smiled.
"Hey Tempest it looks like you have a fan" said Twilight who was smiling.
Tempest just looks at Twilight with a disapproving stare.
"Why do you like me I did try to take over Equestria" said Tempest as if she was disappointed about something.
"Temp may I call you Temp listen I have been around for a very long time and have been to lots of places I know how to tell between a broken pony and a evil pony and I knew from the very start you didn't want to take over Equestria but you felt you had to so you did but I know you wanted to do so much more and be so much more you just didn't know how to go about it until you helped Twilight" said Iron smith.
"Yeah but I still caused so much pain and heartache" said Tempest as a single tear rolled down her cheek.
"Why blame yourself for that you were being missed lead more than anyone by the Storm Kings lies and didn't realize but you are just a pony and our mistakes don't define us that's what makes everyone special it's not because we are alcorns or earth ponies or even griffins but it's our actions and our beliefs that defines who we are and what your destined to be" said Iron smith as he started to fumble through under his stall.
"What are you doing" asked Tempest as she wiped away the tear that had found its way to my cheek.
"I am trying to find oh there it is here I want to give you this for free" said Iron smith as he pulled out a armor of Luna's order of the night.
Tempest took the armor and examined it. A steel armor with blue and black paint and had a lunar eclipse on the torso.
"What is this armor and why would you give it to me for free" asked Tempest with a content grin.
"Well Tempest that armor was my personal armor from when I served with the order of night a elite group of soldiers that had to do the impossible but thy made it possible but they were dispersed but we need them now we need you now you have earned this armor take it and bring honor to the order and succeed where I failed" said Iron smith as he stared with a content sigh at Tempest.
"Don't worry I will make you and your order proud" said Tempest astounded
"You already have and always will" said Iron smith as he turned around and got back to work.
"Let's go get something to eat" said Twilight as her stomach growled.
"Okay let's hear what restaurant you want to go to" said Tempest with a smirk.
"Let's go to hey burger I heard that their burgers were very good and it's next to the docking port too so you can get to your ship straight afterwards okay" asked Twilight as she turned heading to the hey burger.
"Okay agreed" said Tempest as she turned to walk with Twilight.
As they walked they started talking about the month and what happened during the days following.
"Yeah I can't believe Celestia would do that at a trial" said Twilight as they were entering the hey burger restaurant.
"Yeah I was in the conviction chair and rise and gave my verdict to the jury and I for one couldn't believe it but then a stallion juror said that she couldn't do this but was silenced when Celestia said that she was the princess and that it was not wise to go against her word and I thought I saw the stallion pee himself a little" said Tempest as she sat down with Twilight in a booth.
They both laughed at Tempest joke and then the waiter came to the table and asked what they wanted.
"I would like a classic hey burger and fries with Sweet tea" said Twilight as she gestured for Tempest to order.
"Oh um I will have the classic hey sandwich with sweet tea" said Tempest as she began digging in her saddle bag.
"Okay but that would be 45 bits" said the waiter with her hoof out waiting on the bits.
"Ah here 60 bits and the other 25 bits are yours consider it a thank you for waiting on us" said Tempest with a big smile.
Thanks I will have you food out to you in just a moment said the waiter as she began to walk to the kitchen.
"That was quite nice of you Tempest" said Twilight with a smirk on her face.
"Okay so I may of realized that it is better just to give to somepony when you find something worth giving" said Tempest as she started to look at the waiter that was coming back with their food.
"Here is your food" said the waiter as she put the food down.
"Oh waiter" said a stallion that was covered in ice cream.
"Oh no not again" said the waiter as she started to run to the stallion.
The two of them just talked and ate their food until Tempest decided to ask if Twilight wanted to go to the ship with her to check on the supplies. Twilight of course agreed and left the restaurant they began to walk until the reached the ship chatting away without care.
"So in theory, the arcane plane is able to hold ponies souls that have been used to enchant" said Twilight enthusiastically.
"Wow well I guess you learn something everyday" said Tempest as she boarded her ship.
"Hey that reminds me I was wanting to talk to you about spike joining your crew" said Twilight with a worried look.
"Yes what about him" asked Tempest as she started checking supplies.
"Well I want you to take him off the crew" said Twilight with stronger composer.
"I am sorry Twilight but I can't he is not just a disposable crew member he is the pilot of my ship and is the only person I can have driving the ship" said Tempest with a worried expression.
"Why can't you just find some other pony to go on your sucide mission" asked Twilight as she started yelling.
"Because my ship is a newer version of the ones you have in Equestria and spike is the only pilot that can fly this ship and understands it" said Tempest as she started yelling too.
"You know that there's always another choice I mean spike could die and what could you do" asked Twilight almost bursting into tears.
"I'm going to try my best to get everybody that is under my command home safely" said Tempest clearly hurt by what Twilight just said.
"Can you promise me that you keep spike alive well can you" asked Twilight with a more threatening tone.
"No Twilight but can you blame me. You have seen how bad it is out in the badlands but I know this they will not ever hurt any other ponies again and spike understands that and I understand that and even Starlight knows this might be a one way trip but we are going any way because we understand what is at stake here and now here's my question do you understand Twilight" asked Tempest as she clearly spoke the truth to Twilight.
Twilight was crying at this point she wasn't just going to lose spike but also Starlight and Tempest.
"Yes but why do you have to go" asked Twilight as she grabbed Tempest shoulder and cried.
It took some time but Tempest convinced Twilight to stop crying and then had to check the crew list but before Tempest made it to the ramp Twilight asked a simple question.
"Are you scared Tempest" asked Twilight clearly broken from the bottled up emotions.
"Twilight yes I am scared, I am scared because of the days to come and the death awaits others and I am afraid of dieing and I just have to wounder will it be a light at the end of the tunnel or a fire pit. I am scared because if I don't win then everyone I love dies including you I love you Twilight" said Tempest crying a little.
"I know you will win this and come back to me" said Twilight as she kissed Tempest on the muzzle.
"Now go and get everyone aboard I am getting off" said a Twilight as she ran with a smile on her face.
"Tempest let Twilight off and then start calling names of the crew spike the pilot "here" alright gilda the griffin "here I am dude" alright and Starlight "oh here" alright" said Tempest as she let them aboard.
Several crew names later they were getting read to depart as Celestia walked up the ramp.
"I see your not talking Grabber with you" said Celestia as she looked around.
"I am leaving Grabber with Twilight so I can make sure she's alright" said Tempest as she Walked over to Celestia.
"By the way your first two missions are to pick up Capper and captain Celaeno and her crew alright" said Celestia as she was heading to the ramp.
"I will head there right away and get them you can count on me" said Tempest as she was taking off.
"I trust you won't" said Celestia as she jumped off and flew back to her tower.
As Tempest was lifting off she saw Twilight yelling I love you but Tempest couldn't hear and the crew left to go to the badlands.
"I said that I love you" said Twilight as she started to cry.

This is my first but not my last fanfic so please keep this in mind.
I completely love Tempest as a character in the move because she felt like a real life character so you can only imagine how mad I was when they didn't put her in the show and that they did nothing with her character in the show so I hoped to do Tempest justice with this fanfic. Oh and please comment so I can improve upon my fanfics.
Chapter 2 Advanced Technology
"Hey how are we doing Starlight" asked Spike before he started the propulsion engines.
"I think we're good just aim the deck a little further up" said Starlight as she walked over to the cockpit that held Spike.
"All right is this enough" asked Spike as he started touching a holographic controls.
"Yeah" said Starlight as she started to run to Spike.
"Tell Tempest that she might want to grab a hold of something because when I turn on the propulsion systems this thing going to kick until the auto gravity becomes activate" said Spike as he started to prey to Celestia that this particular part of the upgrades that Celestia had ordered would work with out a hitch.
"Okay"said Starlight as she began to run to Tempest.
"Hey Starlight how is it going" asked Tempest but as she looked at Starlights face she could tell that something was wrong.
"You need to grab a hold of something now we're about to bring the propulsion systems online" said Starlight as she saw the confusion in Tempests face.
"What do you mean what propulsion system" asked Tempest a little concerned.
"Wait did you not know about the upgrades Celestia order for the ship" asked Starlight as she felt as scared as Spike.
"I sorry Starlight but I was only told about the mission and the people I will be working with" said Tempest as she turned to face the door leading to the cargo bay and opened it and started to order everyone to run into the cargo bay.
As everyone was into the cargo bay Tempest told Starlight to signal Spike to active the propulsion system as Spike activated it. Everyone could hear a ear spilting roar as the engines start to wake up and all of a sudden it stop and Spike called down to the cargo bay to tell everyone that it was done and so everybody got on deck and started to go about their duties again.
"I am going to go speak to Spike about all the upgrades I still don't know about" said Tempest as angrily walked to the cockpit.
"I think Spike won't have to worry about getting killed by the ship" said Starlight as turned to look at Gilda.
"I think you maybe right let's go after Tempest to make sure nothing happens" said Gilda as she began running to the cockpit.
Meanwhile Tempest was walking to Spike as she began to wounder about what Twilight was doing right about now.
"She's probably working in the castle and teaching grubber about how to sort books and how to cook I imagine I will find a big mess when I get home" said Tempest as began to chuckle about what she said.
As she got to the cockpit of the ship and knocked on the door and a very little drake came out in a steam punk outfit with a stepson on his head and a pare of pilot goggles above his eyes and he had a steel dagger strapped around his waist.
"Yes commander is something wrong" asked Spike as he started to bow to Tempest but then was pulled up by Tempest.
"First don't bow to me and second just call me Tempest and thrid what this talk of upgrades to the ship without my authorization" asked Tempest as she put Spike down on the ground.
"Well okay to the first two questions but the last question is going to be difficult to answer because there were lots of people who made this happen such as Celestia, Luna, and Twilight. They were afraid of the Storm Kings advance arsenal and chose to upgrade your ship with prototype technology such as the propulsion systems that I have just activated and the shield that lets us keep our feet on the deck is also a protective force shield that is power by our arcane core and can sustain multiple blows from another ship but the real problem is that the arcane core didn't have enough power at trial stages and still has problems with power storage and can rupture with stress and blow the ship up" explained Spike as he began to walk with Tempest around the ship.
"Well then can I see the arcane core" asked Tempest as she looked at Spike.
"Yeah sure but I can't believe the flaws and all the problems will give us" said Spike as he walked with Tempest to the cargo port.
"What do you mean Spike I mean the way I heard it from you it serves her purpose" said Tempest as they reached the core.
"Well the core is of course Equestria's first prototype but other countries have already made other prototypes and where far more successful than us" explained Spike as he showed Tempest the core.
"Wow this is a very little core, I mean it is as little as a book" said Tempest while examining the small core.
"Yes it is but it has it's flaws as I said and their is another option such as the thunder core" said Spike as he started to walk back to the deck with Tempest.
"What is the thunder core" asked Tempest as she started woundering if it was better.
"Well like I said Equestria isn't the first country to come up with this idea in fact the Storm Gaurd found out how to use the magic energy from thunder to power their machines and the result of their success was a core much better and similar to our design but can offer more power than our arcane cores and have a lot more safety measures so it doesn't blow up the ship" Spike explained as he got back into his pilot seat as he began to turn around to talk to Tempest.
"So why was my ship not outfit with a thunder core because the Storm King said that he gave me the most advanced technology that the storm Gaurd could muster" said Tempest as she started to wonder if the Storm King had lied about everything that he had said to her.
"Well to be completely honest with you the way I understand it he tried to kill you lots of times because he didn't know if he could face you when he chose to betray you" explained Spike as he got out of the pilot seat to hug Tempest.
"Thank you Spike for everything" said Tempest as Spike hugged her.
"It's okay I know you are still hurting from what happened a month ago but maybe you should go take a nap and I will wake you if I need you" said Spike as he let go of Tempest.
"You know that isn't a bad idea tell me if anything happens okay" said Tempest as she walked to her captains cabin.
As she began walking she noticed that the door to her cabin was open and she noticed somepony inside but as she opened the door see saw Gilda and so Tempest entered her cabin and ask Gilda why she was in her cabin.
"Well I wanted to ask you something about the mission" said Gilda as she began to get excited as she was going to get more news about the mission.
"Well I just know that our first two parts of the mission is to pick up Capper and captain Celaeno but I guess after that it's my call but I will figure that out when it comes to that but until then let's just follow our orders now is that all you wanted to know" asked Tempest as she looked at Gilda.
"Yeah thanks I will be going now" said Gilda as she opened the door.
"By the way Gilda I am going to take a nap and when I wake up I better see that all the cannons are loaded and cleaned because I am making you the weapons systems specialist" said Tempest as she started to get into her bed.
"Really I mean what ever dude" said Gilda as she closed the door.
When the door closed Tempest could have sworn she heard Gilda yelling with excitement as she started to close her eyes.
Tempest was awakened by Spike shouting at her to wake up and heard the alarms go off.
"That can only mean one thing we're under attack" said Tempest as she started to put her armor on and grabbed her sword.
"All hands to battle stations" yelled Spike with urgency.
Tempest finally got all of her armor on and strapped on her sword and ran to the cockpit.

Well I guess there's going to be some action in the next chapter. Well anyways I would like to tell you how much it means to me that you like my fanfic and so like I said I will continue this fanfic until it is done but I would like you guys to leave me comments so I can improve because we all know that my writing style needs improvement but I can't improve if no one wants to comment and help me but please don't be a hater just to be a hater but yeah thanks for liking this fanfic and I hope you love the second chapter.
