A new hero

(POV Luna two years later)

It's been two years since I last saw Casey. I still live in our house even though I can't bring myself to sleep in our bed. I've also started helping Tia with the paperwork. But Fluttershy I fear for she was depressed, but she's slowly getting better.

A lot has happened in that time, discord accidentally being killed by a mailmare, the return of the Crystal Empire and king sombra, his defeat and the return of crystal ponies memories. But something weird was happening the Crystal ponies and the guards have been looking frantically for something. But both shining armor and cadence have no idea what there looking for every time they get the same response 'we’re looking for the hero.’

“So cadence any idea what they're looking for?” I asked as I looked up from the newspaper and then took a bite of a muffin. We were sitting in the dining room Celestia sitting next to me eat some pancakes and cadence and shining across from us.

“We have no idea what they're looking for.”

“Well I think there looking for a sacred-”
*Crash!*

“What the-” suddenly Celestia was hit in the face with a book.

I looked back at the window to a cat sitting there before jumping out. I used my magic to pick up the book that hit my sister in the face. And when I saw wrote it who I gasped and drop it on to the table.

“What's wrong sister?” Tia asked as she held her nose.

“This book, it belongs to king sombra… and there a bookmark.” I opened book and started reading. “Dear Journal today meant a gray alicorn. I could see practically see the amount of darkness in his heart, I thought if I corrupt him I could control him. Oh the fool I was. He started attacking my army that I sent to capture him. he told me that the dark magic I used was weak. I was infuriated, I sent my army to kill him. But what I saw terrified me. As he kill my men they became the undead and helped him to kill my army and then turn them. I should've listened and give up. Because at this rate he'll be here by daybreak.”

“Wait gray alicorn is he talking about Casey?!” Asked cadence

“That would explain why there wasn't a lot men to fight.” Said Celestia “wait if he fought sombra where is he now?”

“Let's read some more maybe it'll tell us where he is?” I replied “dear Journal today in the early morning, I watched as the alicorn publicly execution one of my general, and the people cheered as he cut open his stomach as tripped him and then slammed his body effectively breaking his back. 30 minutes later he stormed into the throne room with his his two generals their names were Sans and papyrus the skeleton Brothers. Luckily I had a plan I used a pink alicorn that keeps calling his name (I would've preferred not to waste a perfectly good healer) but it worked like a charm when one of dark shots and almost hit Amy but he jumped in front of her and took the blast. And both of them turned to stone. But before I could kill them those damn skeletons stopped my by shooting me in the side and then grabbed them and ran. And now I just got report saying those damned princesses are coming.”

“If they escaped where are they?” asked cadence

“MOVE MOVE MOVE WE HAVE TO FREE THE HERO!!!” Yelled a guard as sound crystal armor running

We stood up and followed the guards as quickly as possible. When we arrived we saw a skeleton fighting off the guards. (the skeleton wasn't killing them just knocking them out.) He? Ware what looked to be like a guards armor and Orange face paint and was using a large bone to fight.

“None of you shall pass for I the Great papyrus block your way! You know what's funny you could've just solved the puzzle and none of this had to happen! Hey you wouldn't have been able to solve it because you kinda need his girlfriend's memories to answer it.” He said as he hit a guard into a wall

“Wait! Did you say his girlfriend?” Asked I with a hopefully gleam in my eyes

“Yes I did, my brother made some questions that need to be answered first and then my brother will make sure it's his girlfriend… do want answer them? Seeing as the door is broken” he asked

“Yes I would.”

“*Sigh* okay first order of business please tell your men to leave.” I nodded and wave the guards to leave, once there gone the skeleton pulled out a pair of glasses and a scroll. “Okay first question what was the first place you and Casey kissed?”

“Well the first time was in the castle of the two sisters.” I answered

“Correct next question, what was the name of the first song Casey sang for you was?”

I blushed a little bit “I'll never forget that it was blue moon.”

“Correct, what was the name of the flower I went into everfree forest to get for the date before discord showed up?”

'ok Luna you have this, what was he doing before the fight with discord?”

(Flash back)

I slowly woke up and saw my beloved was reading a book about equestria's flowers. When he noticed I was a wake he closed the book and started cuddle up to me.

“Good morning my beloved what's the plan for today?” I asked as snuggled closer into his arms.

“Well I plan on going into the everfree forest and do a little research on plant life.” He said before kissing me on the forehead

“Would you like me to come and help you out with that?” I noticed that flinched

“Don't you have work today?” He asked somewhat nervous

“No but Rarity and Fluttershy did invite me to the spa.”

“I don't think they would want to be late. Anyways I'm going to take a shower.” He said as he got out bed

Once I heard shower I picked up the book and flipped to the page he was on and saw that it was about the moon Lily but I don't think he read all of because the moon Lily was used to one marry there mate and then in act the ritual of love. The ritual would last two full weeks.

(End of the flashback)

“It was a moon Lily.” I answered with a small blush

“Correct now if I can follow me I'll take you to the next test.” papyrus said as he walked through a secret passage.
