//-------------------------------------------------------// Silent Hill: The Darkness from our Past -by cccvvvttt- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The Project //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The Project The Project In Equestria.... Celestia's sun had risen over Equestria, shunning down on Ponyville. Ponies began to awake from their sleep, except for one, who had been up all night reading a book. She lived in her castle, and she was the Princess of Friendship, known as Twilight Sparkle. She had been up most of Luna's night, reading a book that Sunset Shimmer sent her. It was a book about the human version of the City of Canterlot, and the history of it and other towns near it. "I got to return the favor to sunset somehow..." Twilight said, as she flipped to the next page. As she continued, her number one assistant, Spike came ion. He was a small, purple dragon, who looked tired from just waking up. "Please tell me that you didn't stay up all night reading that book...." Spike said, the grogginess was clear in his voice. "Not all night... Just since three or four.... And this isn't the first book I read...." Twilight replied, rubbing her eyes with her hooves. "I'm just reading the book Sunset gave me, and I'm just getting to the "S" section." Spike sighed, as he pulled a small chair next to her, and sat down. "Well, what does it say?" Spike asked, looking at the page. The first page to the next sections always shows the contacts of that section. "Wow, there aren't really that many." Twilight paid him no mind, as her eyes scanned through, looking for one she could read. One caught her eye, as she read it out loud. "This one looks interesting. It say's "Silent Hill" That's a weird name for a town..." Twilight said, as she started to flip to the page that had the history of the town on it. "What sounds so interesting about a town called Silent Hill? It doesn't seem that great..." Spike said, as he took a drink of coffee that he had made before coming up. "You never know Spike, never judge a book by it's cover.. Or in this case, title." Twilight said, as she finally made it to the page with the history of the town on it. "Here it is... Wait, what's this?" She then pulled out a few folded papers. She decided to read them later, after she read what the page contained. "Well? What does it say?" Spike asked, as Twilight began to read. "Silent Hill started out as a resort town, but was abandon soon sometime after, due to strange disappearances connected with the town. Not much is known about the town, but now it's considered one of the creepiest ghost towns in america. Witnesses who explore the town claim to see strange figures walking around when it's extremely foggy, but it is unknown if these claims are true or false." Twilight finished reading the page, with a look of curiosity plastered on her face. "Hm, I want to know more about this "Silent Hill." Twilight said. Spike nodded with agreement, he now being interesting in what he thought would be a boring little town. Twilight remembered the folded papers that fell out of the book. "Maybe she left something in these papers?" Twilight wondered, as she unfolded the first paper. It contained words in bold that said "MISSING" on it. The women in the picture had black hair, pale skin, light blue eyes, a green shirt, with blue jeans. The name above it said Sarah Greenman, her age was twenty-eight, and she had been missing for a very long time in the human world, since the 80's. The last place she was seen, was at her house, just about to leave, but she was never found. Her car was found near the ghost town, with everything she brought with her stored in it. "That's kind of sad.... She was never found..." Twilight said, her ears drooping. "Her car thingy was found near Silent Hill... Odd." Spike nodded in agreement, taking yet another sip of his coffee. She levitated the other two papers, both of them also being missing posters as well. "That is weird." Spike said, looking at the posters. "They all disappeared, and something belonging to them was found near Silent Hill..." Twilight nodded in agreement, as she had an unsure look. "Something's wrong with that town." Meanwhile, at Canterlot High.... It was another Monday morning at Canterlot High, the students were all walking into the school, this included Sunset Shimmer, and all of her other friends, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. They walked into the building, all talking about different things, like how was there weekend, and what not. They had a good one, they spent Saturday at the beach, but on Sunday, they all had plans to do, and couldn't hang out. "I wonder what history class is going to be today..." Sunset wondered. Before the weekend, their teacher said that she'll give them a project to do after the weekend ended. "It's probably going to be something boring. Wouldn't be surprised there..." Rainbow said, looking at the clock that hung on the wall. It read 8:35, class was going to start in five minutes. "You never know." Twilight said, adjusting her glasses. "History can be interesting if you take a deeper look into it." Sunset nodded in agreement, as she too liked History. "There's not really anything I like about it, though." Rainbow replied. "Just my opinion, anyway...." Her friends usually respected her opinion, so that was good. "I think History is a lot of fun!" Pinkie said, with her usual hyper active energy present with her. Sunset and Twilight nodded with agreement, while the other's had mixed opinions on the topic. They spent the rest of there free time talking, while walking through the halls, until the bell rang for passing period. All of the students started walking to their classrooms, Sunset and Rainbow being the only one among their friends to share the same history class. They went to history first. "Maybe it wont be completely boring..." Rainbow said, looking on the bright side. She did have good grades, but that was just she could participate in sports and what not. She still found school extremely boring, however. "Well, maybe our project will be something you like." Sunset said, as their teacher walked into the room, after the bell just rang. The teacher was somewhat strict, but overall, was nice. After the announcements were finished, and homeroom ended, they started class "As you all know, I said that there would be a project last Friday that you would have to work on, is that correct?" Mrs. Audra asked her class, and they all let out a tired "yes" or just nodded their heads with agreement. "What I failed to tell you however, was that this was supposed to be a pair project, meaning you can work with one other person." The class let out a few cheers, as they didn't want to work alone with this. "Hey, Sunset!" Rainbow whispered, and Sunset leaned in closer to hear her. "We should pair up." Sunset, not having anyone else she wanted to pair up with in this class, nodded in agreement. The class quieted down, to listen to the teachers next instructions. "Alright, your assignment is to get a partner, and write an essay on a historical town. It can be any town, just as long as it has some sort of history behind it." Mrs. Audra said, as the class all nodded with understatement. "Now, use this time to discuss with your partner on what town you would like to do." The class went into chatter, as so did Sunset and Rainbow. "I already got a place in mind." Rainbow said, as she pulled out a book, and flipped through it to a page. Sunset looked at the page, and saw the words above it said "Silent Hill". Sunset looked up at Rainbow with confusion, but Rainbow just had a wide grin plastered on her face. "Why would you want to go there?" Sunset asked, and Rainbow instantly had a response. "Isn't it obvious?" Rainbow asked, Sunset being silent as Rainbow continued. "It's a ghost town! It's creepy, and probably haunted, people that don't disappear there say that in the fog, they can see figures walking around." Sunset gave her a spectacle look. "What gives you that idea besides the book?" Sunset asked, and Rainbow pulled out her phone, and practically shoved it in her face. "Wikipedia says so, it also says that there was a cult that was in Silent Hill before it was abandoned, or something." Rainbow replied, as she took a loot at her phone. "Don't be ridiculous." Sunset replied, as she let out a sigh. "I guess we can do this town... Even though there's not a lot known about it." Rainbow practically jumped up with joy at this. She was one who loved creepy and horrifying things, and she didn't just want to research the town online. "Yeah, we should go after school and-" Rainbow was saying, but was then cut off by Sunset. "Whoa wait, you actually want to explore the town?" Sunset asked, not really sure if that was the best idea. "Well yeah, of course!" Rainbow replied. "I want to see it for myself, it sounds like a fun place to explore." Sunset would normally reject this, as she wasn't too big on horror, but this time, it felt different. It felt like she should for some reason, she should go to the town with Rainbow. She wanted to go to Silent Hill. "Sure, we can go after school if you want to...." Sunset said, and Rainbow beamed with joy. "Thank you Sunset! We should go at dark!" Rainbow replied, as Sunset just nodded. I wonder why I want to go so badly....? Sunset wondered. It was as if the town was calling her herself. Later.... It was late at night now, and Rainbow and Sunset were in Rainbow's car. They were on there way to Silent Hill, and Sunset wanted to share as much information about the town, not only for the sake of her grade, but for sharing the information with Princess Twilight, so she brought her book that she uses to communicate with her. "This is so exciting for me!" Rainbow Dash said, the enthusiasm in her voice was unmistakable. However, Sunset was having her doubts that they would actually see something. "Do you think we might see something?" Sunset asked. "I'm not really that sure if we will..." "Well, you never know, right?" Rainbow replied. Sunset was about to counter this, when all the sudden, just as they passed what seemed to be a crashed police motorcycle, the car radio started making loud static noises. "Whats's wrong with the radio?" Sunset asked, covering her ears with her hands, as Rainbow tried to turn it off. "I don't know, this is brand new, it doesn't act this-" POP Suddenly, a loud noise came from the tire of the car, as Rainbow suddenly lost control of it, as she swerved, trying to get it back under control. Sunset grabbed the steering wheel, trying to help Rainbow, but to no avail. The car kept swerving, as neither of them were in control of it. The car got to the ledge of the small mountain, scraping against the medal part that was supposed to prevent drivers from falling off. It broke. The car made it's way down the mountain roughly. Sunset and Rainbow were flying all over the car, along with a few other items. Sunset felt her body collide with certain parts of the car, as they both screamed in terror. Suddenly, they were on somewhat flat ground, but once that happened, Sunsets head made contact with the dash board, knocking her unconscious. Rainbow's head also hit the tire, leaving them both unresponsive, as a thick, creepy fog began to form around their car. https://img.youtube.com/vi/w2cK8mOG4Q8/mqdefault.jpg Author's Note First crossover fic, hope you all liked it //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Something's Wrong //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Something's Wrong Something's Wrong "...Set" A faint voice said. Sunset couldn't hear it well, or see well, but she thought she had recognized it. "Sun...." It said again, this time being closer than before, as if she could reach out to it. "Sunset! Wake Up!" Rainbow Dash shouted, shaking her friend, who slowly began to open her eyes. Once she came too, she immediately remembered what had happened. The car crash. "Rainbow!" Sunset shouted, hugging her friend. "Are you alright? That crash was awful!" Rainbow nodded her head in response, and took a quick look around. "I'm fine.... But I'm not sure if I'm dreaming or not..." Rainbow commented. There was a thick fog covering the area they were in, causing them to only be able to see a few feet in front of them. Not only that, but it was lightly snowing out. It was spring, so that should have been impossible. "Rainbow..." Sunset said, extending her arm out to catch a piece of the falling snow. "Why is it so foggy out here, and more importantly, why is it snowing?" Rainbow shrugged as a response, then looked at her car, which had a large dent in the front of it, and some smoke was coming from under the hood. "Now my car is totaled!" Rainbow said, as she face palmed, knowing that she would have to be the one to fix this. Sunset put a hand on her shoulder, before pointing in the other direction. "It looks like we're in a forest, so maybe if we follow the path, we'll get into town." Sunset said, and Rainbow frowned. "We're in Silent Hill, The town has been empty for who knows how long." Rainbow Dash said, pointing to a sign. When Sunset looked at the sign, it said Silent Hill Forest She looked back, rubbing the back of her head. "Well, maybe they have a phone, or radio we can use." Sunset said. "Speaking of which, is your phone working?" Rainbow shook her head, as she pulled it out, the screen being cracked beyond repair. Sunset had forgotten hers when she left, so the only tool they had for communicating, was the book she used to write to Twilight with. "Alright, let's go then." Rainbow said, putting her phone back into her pocket. Sunset grabbed the book she used for Twilight, then they both walked off into the deep fog. The more they walked, the more they saw what they couldn't see, due to the fog. There walk was mostly silent, until they got to what appeared to be a heavily cracked road. "I knew the town was abandoned, but geez." Rainbow said, trying to avoid getting her foot stuck in one of the cracks. The eventually made it to the town, which was in decay. They both had there mouths opened, as the town was putting a strong feeling into the two girls. Loneliness, the worst feeling in the world. "I'm cold...." Sunset complained, as she looked around. Rainbow nodded in agreement, as they continued there walk. There was no other soul in sight, just the unnatural fog that had somehow covered the entire town. Sunset shivered, but it wasn't due to the somewhat cold whether, it was because she had the feeling that something was wrong in this town. She would have to write to Twilight about the weirdness of it all. "What's that...?" Rainbow asked, snapping Sunset out of her thoughts. She then heard the noise that Rainbow had picked up on. It was the static of a radio. "It's a radio!" Sunset shouted, moving a little bit faster. "If we can get it, maybe we can radio for help." Rainbow seemed to like that idea, as she nodded in agreement with sunset. They both started to make there way towards the noise, and they could tell that they were getting a whole lot closer. "I think I can see it..." Rainbow said, as she pointed to a faded object on the ground. They both walked over to it, and once they were close enough, they could see that it was indeed a radio. "Great, now we can call for help." Sunset said, trying to adjust the knob on it so it would stop making the static noises, but they only grew louder, as a pair of footsteps gained closer to them. "Hello...?" Sunset called out to the figure. It was hard to see them in the fog, but she could tell that it was human. What was weird about it, was the way it twitched while it moved. It was unsettling to say the least. As it moved closer, the louder the radio screeched. It got close enough were Rainbow and Sunset could clearly see it, and when they did, they both gasped with horror. The figure that walked up to them looked decayed, like the rest of the town, it's clothes were torn to shreds, it's skin was a dark, and rotting, it's eyes had been torn out, blood dripping out of it's eye sockets, and it looked like it had just crawled out of a lake. "What the-!" Rainbow said, as the creature leached itself onto her, nearly biting into her flesh. The static roared loudly, as Sunset tried her best to pull the creature off of her. The creature screamed, angry that it was being fought against by these two. Eventually, they pushed the creature all the way off, but not before it clawed Rainbows leg, causing her to yelp in pain, as she fell to the ground. Sunset helped her up, before they both ran off in the opposite direction of that monster. Rainbow was having trouble at the thing she was usually good at doing, due to her injury on her leg, but they managed to escape the horrifying monster. As Sunset noticed that the radio had finally died down with the static, at a level where it couldn't be heard anymore. They stopped running, as they took a breath of air. "What was that?!" Sunset asked, pointing back at the road they ran on. "What's going on!?" Rainbow shook her head in disbelieve, as she to wasn't sure if what she'd saw was even real or not. "I-I don't know-" Rainbow said, flinching at the pain her nerves felt. Sunset gave her friend a concerned look, as she looked around. She saw two more things lying on the ground, but she couldn't tell what they were. One had a rectangle shape to it, and the other one looked like a bottle. "Hold on, I see something. Stay here and shout if that hing comes back." Sunset said. Rainbow nodded, even though she didn't want to be alone, she had putted on a brave face anyway. Sunset then ran over to the objects, which weren't that far away. Once she got there, she knew she hadn't wasted her time going there. She saw a first aid kit, and not only that, but a bottle that said, "Health Drink." "This First Aid Kid should have some bandages, though I'm not so sure about this "Health Drink...." Sunset muttered to herself, as she walked back to Rainbow Dash, both of the materials in her hands. Rainbow looked up at her, and the things she held in her hands. "Thank god...." She said, relived that Sunset had found the items. Now her wounds could be sealed properly. Sunset got down onto her knee's, and opened the kit, seeing the bandages inside it, She pulled them out, them lifted a sleeve on Rainbows jeans, revealing the cut hidden under it. She began to wrap them around the cut, which she did quickly and properly. After she had finished, she held out the health drink for Rainbow. "Here, take this." Sunset said. "This should help numb the pain..." Rainbow gave her an unsure look. Sure, she was a daredevil, but not even she was stupid enough to take some random drink that was found in a foggy town full of monsters. "No thank you...." Rainbow said, pushing it away. "I don't know where that's been, and neither do you. I don't trust anything in this town." Sunset could see that, so she just put the bottle in her pocket. She didn't exactly trust that bottle either, but she thought maybe it would help. "Well, we shouldn't just stand here, let's get out of this town." Sunset said. Rainbow nodded with agreement,, as she to no longer wanted to be there. "Lets go, help me up." Rainbow said, holding out her hand, which Sunset took, then pulled up, getting Rainbow to her feet. They both turned and faced a random direction, as they both started running. They didn't care how tired they got, they needed to get out of that town, no matter what. Sunset hadn't ran as fast as she did at that moment before, and she wasn't planning on stopping until they were out of the town. "I think... we're almost there...." Sunset said, painting with exhaustion. She was right however, they were getting closer to the end of the town. They just needed to get just a little closer, and they would be home free. Sunset immediately stopped, as they came to the end of the road, so did Rainbow. The road was completely cut off, a hole that seemed to go down forever was there. "What the...." Rainbow said, as she looked down the endless hole. "This sin't normal.... Right...?" Sunset shook her head in response, as she too took a look down the hole. "No... I've never seen anything like this before...." Sunset replied. She pulled out the book she used to communicate with Twilight, but she forgot the pen she used in the car. "This isn't normal.... We should probably ask Twilight for help...." Sunset said, and Rainbow just looked at her with a confused look. Sunset noticed this, and held up the book she used to talk with Twilight with, and Rainbow let out an "oh." As a response. "Do you have a pen?" Rainbow shook her head. "No.... But how would Twilight help us out anyway?" Rainbow asked. "She's all the way in Equestria, and we're in some whacked up version of Silent Hill." Sunset knew this was true. It was most likely they weren't even on earth anymore, but instead, in some sort of purgatory, alone, only having the monsters and the emptiness as company. "I don't know.... But trying to get into contact with her is better than just standing here doing nothing but running from the monsters, right?" Sunset asked her rainbow colored haired friend, who just nodded her head in response. She smiled. "Let's get going then, we should probably check out some of the buildings." As they were about to continue there walk into the town, Rainbow let out a yelp of pain. "Ow! My leg hurts...." She said, putting her hand in the same spot she got that cut. Sunset once again grabbed the bottle. She hated to see her friend in pain. "Here, take this.... It'll make you feel better, believe me...." Sunset offered. Rainbow was once again about to refuse her offer, but stopped when she felt the pain striking again, this time worse than before. "Okay fine, but it better not poison me." Rainbow said with a grunt, as she grabbed the bottle out of her hands, and popped off the lid. After doing that, she began to drink down the contents of the bottle, which tasted bitter, yet sweet, a taste that was hard to describe. Once she was done, she could feel her leg start to feel just a little better. The health drink had worked. "How does your leg feel?" Sunset asked, and Rainbow gave out a small nod. "It feels a whole lot better, now that I had that health drink thingy." Rainbow replied, with a satisfied smile. "Now come on, let's try to get out of here.... Hopefully, we will...." She said, They both started to walk once again in the empty, quit town that they were stuck in, As they walked, Sunset felt something crinkle under her feet. "Huh? What's this?" Sunset asked herself, as she picked up the piece of paper that laid on the ground. She looked at what it was, and it turned out to be a map of Silent Hill. Rainbow saw the map in Sunsets hands, and they both noticed that they were markings on the map. Some of them showed certain area's that wee blocked off, and it also showed that all exit routes in the town were also blocked off. "This isn't good....." Sunset said, seeing that most of the area's were blocked off. Rainbow Dash however, noticed that there was a place marked on the map. "What about there?" Rainbow said, pointing to the area. Sunset looked at it, and saw that the place marked was called Heavens Night. "Doesn't that mean there's something there?" Sunset nodded, but they were pretty far away from it. "Yeah, we should probably check it out, unfortunately it looks like we'll have to take quit a walk to get there." Sunset replied. "Well, lets not just stand here, lets get going." Rainbow said. Sunset nodded, as they both started to make there way to that place. On the way, they felt alone in the town, but was only because they were. The radio went off several times during their walk, but they never found the source for any of the times it went off. They both also felt like they were being watched by something, but they never found the source to that either. "I think, we're almost there...." Sunset said, looking at the map. She was right, they were almost at Heavens Night. As they walked, they saw a small metal staircase that lead up to a door on a building. They also heard the loud cry of something, that made their blood froze. "I think someone's in trouble!" Rainbow said, running up the metal staircases, that building being the source of the screaming, which was still happening. Rainbow reached the door, but when she tried to open it, it was jammed shut. The screaming only seemed to get louder, as both Rainbow and Sunset were trying their best to get the door open. "Why wont this thing open?!" Rainbow said, as the screams finally died down. Once they did, the door let loose, and opened with ease. They both ran in, but saw no one. Not a single soul in sight, the only indication of life ever being there, was the blood stain found on the ground. "But how?!" Sunset asked, looking around the run down place. They were defiantly in Heaven's Night, the glowing sign said so, and they could both tell now that it was a strip club, due to the pole on the stage that they could easily see. However, the screams were never there, and if that was the case, then why did they hear them? "This place is marked on the map, so there has to be something here." Sunset said, looking around the room. She noticed something on one of the tables there. It was a small handgun with a few packs of bullets lying near it. Sunset went over, and picked the items up. She never used a gun before, but considering all the monsters running around, she would most likely need this for another occasion. "Is that all we came here for?" Rainbow asked. "A gun?" Sunset nodded as a response, seeing that there was nothing else in there they could use. "Well, at least we have something we can use against the monsters now." Sunset said. Rainbow nodded, knowing that was true. "If there's no other reason to be here, then let's-" Rainbow was saying, but she was cut off by a noise. A loud siren wailed in the distance, confusing Sunset and Rainbow Dash. "What's that?" Sunset asked, with some panic in her voice. She had no idea why it was going off like that, but whatever the reason was, it couldn't be good. Suddenly, the room they were in started to get darker and darker, as everything seemed to just melt away, and be replaced by rusted metal. Sunset saw that there was a small flashlight on one of the tables, so she dashed over to it, and quickly picked it up, turning it on in the process. Once she did, she pointed it at Rainbow, as the siren got louder by the second. Rainbow was looking at her hand, shocked, and so was Sunset. Rainbow's hand was disappearing, along with the rest of the world. "Rainbow Dash?!" Sunset cried out, but to no avail, as her friend just disappeared along with the rest of the world, which was now just a rusted metal sort type, which scared Sunset even more than she had to be. She was about to run out, to see if she could find Rainbow Dash, but she heard some sort of moaning behind her, making her freeze. She turned around and to her horror, saw the same monster that scratched Rainbow Dash. "GAH!" Sunset screamed, as she ran to the door, but when she tried to open it, she realized the lock was broken, making it un open-able. She turned around, and saw the creature approaching her. She then remembered the handgun she found. She quickly pulled it out, and started firing random shots at the monster. Most of the bullets made contact with it, and eventually, it fell to the ground, and died slowly and painfully. Sunset was gasping for air, as she leaned against the door. She was locked inside the building. "If I could only get to Twilight..." Sunset mumbled, rubbing her head, as she let her body slide down the door, as she fell into a deep sleep, the siren finally going quite. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: The Town and the Hospital //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: The Town and the Hospital The Town and the Hospital Sunset shot up her head, gasping for breath. As she did this, she felt like something inside her head exploded, causing her to feel pain through out her body. She held onto her head, as her ear drums was picking up a loud, screeching noise rang in her ears, her vision was a blurry red, as she saw images pop into her mind out of nowhere. The sound is what she heard before she fainted. It was the siren that made Rainbow Dash disappear for what seemed to be no primal reason. Then after that, the world got dark, and rusted, and a monster attacked her, It was all she could remember before blacking out. Soon, the loud sound of the siren started to grow more quit, as the pain she felt subsided, and her vision slowly getting more and more clear. She let out one more groan, as she rubbed her head. She could no longer hear the siren, and she could no longer see the red blurry vision that she had just saw. Instead, it went quit. Too quit, as if nothing existed at all, except for Sunset, who herself didn't even dare to move, afraid that something else horrific was going to happen to her. Why is this happening to me?1 What did I do to deserve this? Sunset thought, as she let the tears stream down her face, as she just broke apart. For some unknown reason, she felt something off. She felt like she was underwater, which wasn't the case, because she could see that she was still at Heavens Night. She knew she couldn't stay in there forever, she had to get out of there, and find Rainbow Dash. I can't just leave her here, if I did that, what kind of friend would I be? Sunset thought. Just thinking that brought her back to a time where she thought that having friends would never help her in life, which is one of the reasons she ran away in the first place. As Sunset got up from her sitting position, she felt relief on her lower area, as it seemed that she was sitting on something as she fell asleep. "That feels better, but what was I sitting on?" Sunset asked herself, as she looked down, and saw the handgun that she used to kill the monster, which she regretted deep down inside her consciousness. She reluctantly picked it up, knowing that if some other monster were to attack her, and if she couldn't run away, using it would be her only option."I guess I'll still need this... If I get attacked again..." Deep down, she hoped she would never have to hurt another creature like that ever again, but the reality was that this town was full of monsters. If she had the option, she would just sit down and eat pizza, but that wasn't an option right now. She had to survive. "I'll get through this, and I'll find Rainbow Dash..." Sunset said to herself. She could still feel some pain, though she didn't know the reason for feeling it. She remembered the small flashlight she found, and the book that she used to talk to Twilight with. She quickly found both items again, along with a few health drinks as well. She drank one to ease the pain, and saved the other for the right occasion. Having no reason for being there, she left through the same way she came out, the door was now able to open again. Someone had fixed the broken lock. "Huh? This was broken though. Who fixed it?" Sunset asked, in disbelief. When she tried to run from that monster earlier, the door was broken, but somehow, it was fixed. None of this made any sense to her. She just let out a frustrated sigh, a she left the building. Outside, she could see that it was still foggy, and still for some odd reason, snowing. She rubbed her forehead with her hand, as she made her way into the quit town. She held the handgun in her hand, making sure her finger was off the trigger, as to not accidentally shoot her foot while walking. As she walked, she tried to go into many different building, all of them being locked , or the door nobs being broken, making the door jammed. These building she crossed off of her map. It seemed like she was getting nowhere. "This place is so foggy, that I can't see two feet in front of me!" Sunset said, with an agitated tone of voice. She had to search one of these buildings, but none of them she was even able to open, which made her even more frustrated. "This town is the worst place I've ever been in! Period!" This was not helping her. As she walked, she heard the familiar static of the radio. She gulped, knowing that it meant a monster was near by, she quickly began to run in the other direction, but she tripped, when she felt something sharp come into contact with her back, causing her to fall down. She turned around, and saw another monster, but this one was different. It was a slender creature, with long blades as it's fingernails, it was nearly naked, only having a few parts of it being covered, it had the face showing an emotion that was strong. That emotion was anger, towards Sunset. The creature screamed out in rage, as it seemed like it was going to take that rage out on her. Sunset tried to get up, but the pain in her back halted her process. It was so painful that she could barley move. She had no other choice, but to fight it. She pulled out her handgun, and started to shoot at it, but nothing came out. She had no ammo left in it. "How could I've forgotten to reload this thing?!" Sunset asked herself, the panic and fear rising in her, as she got out the box of ammo that she was also carrying. She reloaded the gun as quick as she could, as the monster got closer and closer to her. She practically shoved the ammo inside, and once it clicked, letting her know that she did it right, she started to fire it away in one panicked motion. The bullets made contact with it, just like it did with the last monster she had to face off against. It let out one more cry of agony, as it fell back, hitting the ground with a loud thud. Sunset was gasping for air, but she felt the air disappear once she saw it's body vibrate, telling her that it was still alive. She aimed the gun right at it's head, and fired. The bullet made contact with it, ending it's misery. She once again gasped for the air that her lungs so desperately wanted. The pain in her back was causing her energy to quickly be drained from her body. She checked inside her pocket once again, and felt the bottle of the other health drink she got at that bar. She groaned, as she popped off the cap, and started to drink it to numb the pain in her back. Something was telling her that she should save it for later, but the other part of her told her that she would be stuck there, not being able to move because of the pain. As she drank, the pain lessen. She could still feel it, but it wasn't as bad as it was before. She got up, but had to put her balance on a nearby building. She needed something to help her walk. Luckily for her, there was a stick laying on the sidewalk. It was long enough to be a cane, so she made her way towards it, though still feeling most of the pain on her back. That didn't stop her from getting to it though, as she picked it up, and used it to balance herself. "H-huh.....? What;'s that....?" She asked, as she noticed a shining object, next to the dead figure of the monster. She made her way to it slowly. The closer she got, the more she could see that it was a somewhat big key, with a small tag on it. She picked up the key, and read what was on the tag. Brookhaven Hospital Entrance Key. "Brookhaven Hospital?" Sunset asked, her pain showed in her voice. She pulled out her map, trying not to agitate her wound more than she had to, and searched for the hospital. She quickly found it, and marked it on the map. There had to be a reason there was key there. Maybe that's the place Rainbow was at, or at least something that would make sense. "I passed it after leaving Heavens Night, I did try to open it, but the door was locked. This time it should work." Sunset said to herself, to make her feel like she was talking to someone else so she wouldn't go crazy. It wasn't working though, because she still felt alone. "I better start moving...." It was easier said than done. The cane was barley helping her walk, and she was moving at an incredible slow pace. She wasn't worried about it getting affected, though she was worried about Rainbow Dash, and how they were going to escape. She had to push those thoughts aside, as she continued to walk down the foggy, empty street. After what felt like hours, she finally made it. The building didn't have any unique features from the rest of the town. The building looked run down and dirty. The only difference is that she could actually go inside this building, now that she had the key. She made her way up the small stone steps, but just like walking, it was no easy task. After stumbling up the stairs, she made it to the front door, and placed the key inside of it. It let out a click, as Sunset pulled it out again. The moaning and creaking of the door made her shutter, as the door slowly opened. She could only see darkness in there. "I really don't want to go in there.... Even with a flashlight, I might do something stupid, like trip over something, or worse.... Run into a monster..." Sunset said to herself. She gulped down her fears, as she knew that there had to be something in there, otherwise why would that monster have a key. She pulled out her flashlight, and turned it on, a beaming light shinning out of it, causing the room to bright up. "Well, here I go...." Sunset gulped, as she entered the building, The inside was even dirtier than the outside of it, the walls were cracked, there were a few blood stains on the floor and walls. It felt like a murder happened there, which put her on edge. She started to walk around the area, just like the outside of the town, it was silent. "Rainbow Dash?!" Sunset called out, hoping to get a reply, but there was none. It wasn't the smartest choice to call out in a place like this, but she felt that she had no other choice. She tried a few rooms, but most of them were locked, and the elevator wasn't working. The only door that would open, was a door that was a stairway that lead to the other floors. Sunset started to make her way up the said stairs, going slow as she did. She didn't trust stairs, for good reasons, and that fear was putting her on edge. "I hate stairs..." She grumbled to herself, as she continued. Eventually, she made it to the second floor. The door was unlocked, luckily for her, she guessed. The door creaked opened, as Sunset shinned the flashlight inside the dark, hallway. "Alright, got to be careful...." Sunset said, as she began to walk. As she walked, she heard a soft noise coming from her pocket. The more she walked down the hallway, the louder it got. It was then she realized that it was coming from the radio. She gulped, looking around the area. She couldn't see what it was, or where it was. That terrified. She was frozen, not moving, and yet, the radio was getting louder and louder. She also heard the noise of footsteps behind her. She quickly turned around, and felt something make contact with her cheek. She fell to the ground, as she felt her gums bleed, and some of her teeth get loosen. Her vision was blocked with her tears, as she looked up. The thing that hit her was holding a pipe, it was wearing a green nurse uniform, it's face was extremely pale, it's eyes were opened wider than thought possible, it had a smile, that was cut into its flesh, forcing it to smile, though Sunset noticed tears coming out of the corners of its eyes. "Get back!" Sunset shouted, trying to get up, but was slow due to both of her injury, some blood coming out of her mouth due to the blow. She pulled out her handgun once again, but the nurse swiftly came up to her, and slapped it out of her hands. Sunset backed up, a wall coming near her back. She didn't want to die yet, not without finding Rainbow Dash anyway. "Please don't hurt me!" She pleaded, as the nurse twitched unnaturally. As Sunset backed up, she heard a third pair of footsteps. Suddenly, with a loud bang, the nurse fell forward, as something hit it on the back of the head. Sunset looked up, and saw Rainbow Dash, who was holding a pipe, which she used to knock down the nurse. It shook on the ground, trying to find it's balance, but Rainbow quickly stomped on it, making it grow still and silent. She looked at Sunset, and looked at her with a concerned look. "Sunset! What happened to you?" She asked, holding a hand out for her friend. She not only noticed the bruise that was on her cheek, but she noticed the somewhat deep cut on her back. "You're hurt! Hang on, I have a first aid kit." After she said that, she pulled it out, and got out the bandages, and with the help of Sunset, wrapped it around the cut. "I'm fine..." Sunset said, the weakness clear in her voice. Rainbow could only offer a soft smile, as she remembered another thing she got in the hospital. "Hey! I found this pen! I think it still works!" Rainbow said. They could now contact Twilight in Equestria. Sunset, already having the book out, grabbed the pen, and started to write in it. Meanwhile.... Twilight was in the library part of the castle, reading the same book that Sunset sent to her. She couldn't get Silent Hill out of her head. Something about that town just seemed off to her, she could tell just by reading it. She was almost done with the page she was on, when she heard the noise of something vibrating. It came from the small desk next to her, where she kept the book she used to talk to Sunset with. She levitated it over to herself, and started to read what Sunset was writing. Twilight! We need your help! Me and Rainbow Dash are trapped in a weird foggy version of the town Silent Hill. There's also monsters running around that nearly killed us! Please help us! As Twilight finished reading, she just stood there in shock. She wanted to help, bit she didn't know what to do. The problem was that Sunset said she was in some weird foggy version of it, bit the question was whether if she was in the same world or not? She knew one thing. They were both in danger.
